Hey Friends! This podcast episode recaps our recent trip to Baja, Mexico! The conversation is lively, engaging, and full of exciting details about the region. This episode explores Baja and our experiences in different cities and regions.
We spend a lot of time discussing La Paz, the capital of Baja California Sur and the largest city in the region. It is a biodiverse aquatic ecosystem with plenty of marine life to explore. La Paz is exceptionally family-friendly, with playgrounds and activities geared toward children. We recommend staying near the Malécon, the main street by the sea, as it's a great place to explore and find restaurants, coffee shops, and other amenities.
We discuss lodging options in Baja, including hotels, Airbnbs, and VRBOs. We also recommend renting a car, as it's the easiest way to explore the beaches and nearby towns. In addition to La Paz, we share our experiences in other regions, such as La Ventana, Todos Santos, Cabo San Lucas and Pescadero. Plenty of options exist for different budgets and transportation styles, including biking and public transit.
Our recommendations and insights are sure to be helpful to anyone planning a trip to the region, no matter how long you plan to stay!

Beacon Coffee has the best coffee. Air Pizza has video games, skateboards, and everything to make you feel like a kid in the 90s again. Very cool owner too.
Things To Do with Kids Libbey Park is the central park downtown with a great playground, an amphitheater, trails, etc. Go here with kids to play, have a picnic, and meet other cool parents
Barts Books is the most excellent bookstore in an old home and partially outdoors. New and used, something for everyone, and they buy books at a great price.
Ojai Valley Inn is a gorgeous resort in a gorgeous setting. Kids can run around the massive outdoor area while you order dinner at Jimmy's Pub; they even have marshmallow roasting kits—the spot to see the famous Ojai pink moment. And you might meet a famous person.
Take a scenic drive to Ventura, Carpinteria, or Santa Barbara for beach time!
