Baloo explains this time and the transition to what is now the fastest-growing music scene in the world, through his eyes and as part of one of the biggest and strongest platforms in music, MDLABEAST.
MDLABEAST is home to XP Music Futures which accelerates the growth of MENA’s music industry with an annual 3-day music conference in Riyadh, Soundstorm music festival which was formed by 200+ artists, 750k+ visitors and 4 days of non-stop music and dancing in 2021, MDLBEAST radio and multiple record labels.

10 Jun 2023 | Elizabeth Cyprian | 00:59:51
For Elizabeth Cyprian the answer is simple: the success of a brand is dependent upon each department correlating while it creates, nurtures and maintains a distinctive identity. Everything ties back to the ethos and origin. For 10+ years she has been putting this statement to the test. What started as a dancefloor chat led to a career in the event management and dance music industry. For six years she held a variety of positions with The BPM Festival including Talent Buyer, Project Manager, Marketing, PR and Ticketing/Box Office logistics. Ever since ending her time with BPM she’s held her current position with Macorma Artist Management as the Brand Manager for EXHALE by Amelie Lens. Elizabeth has overseen the brand sell out festivals & clubs around Europe including Awakenings Festival (Amsterdam), Printworks (London), EXHALE’s own marquee production in Belgium (Antwerp) and their first month-long residency at DC-10 (Ibiza). What started as Amelie’s passion project has quickly turned into a global community spanning more than 52 countries. With rapid growth and dedication, Elizabeth keeps on with the belief of her own origin: personal success is about holding true to the character of the brand or company you work for, but also to yourself. Our first ever interview together was back in 2013 when we didn't even know each other and since then she has become such a special person to me, so I'm so happy that we did this together and that Michelle is part of the podcast.
Thank you so much for your support this season, I really appreciate it and remember to subscribe to the podcast so you’ll find out as soon as season 4 starts which will be very soon!

12 Sep 2019 | Andy Stanton - The first 3 years of event brand 33 - Challenges, goals and advice | 00:29:42
This weeks guest is Andy Stanton. I really loved hearing about Andy’s story because he’s worked so hard to get to where he is today and it just goes to show that lots of hard work really pays off. Andy was the marketing manager for a property firm in London and at the same time loved a good party (as we all do!), and eventually, his passion for branding, communication and dance music led him to create his own event brand called 33 that started 3 years ago in London. After 3 years of hard work, the brand now has its own residency at Itaca in Ibiza and is also held in many different venues in the UK.
In this podcast we talk about Andy’s journey, how the residency in Ibiza came about, the challenges he’s come across when throwing parties in London and Ibiza, his biggest achievements yet, advice for people starting their own event brand and more!
This was such a positive chat with someone that’s so passionate about what they do so I hope you enjoy this chat and hopefully, it inspires you to follow your dreams, believe in yourself and just really work hard because if you do. I'm sure you'll eventually get there!

26 Apr 2019 | Jo Little: Creative Cleansing | 00:35:02
Jo used to live the high life in the non-stop, fast-paced world of event and music festival production. She worked hard and played harder for long days and longer nights until in a heartbeat her world turned upside down as the aneurysm she had unknowingly harbored in the center of her brain ruptured, putting her deep into a coma where she fought to stay alive for 6 weeks. Learning to walk, talk and swallow was just the start but the hardest battle was working to regain her cognitive function.
She problem-solved her health as she would have in event production and it was through being in touch with her creativity that she became most alive. Jo now works with other people in the creative industry and their tides, cycles, and rhythms to help them find the still point in the center of the storm, learning how their bodies adapt through breath, movement and intention.

04 Sep 2019 | John Acquaviva: From the beginning up until now | 00:59:31
John Acquaviva... Where to begin?! John is such an amazing person, down to earth, hard-working and great to be around. I’ve known John for quite a few years now and each year I interview him and always learn something new!
If you haven’t heard directly of John Acquaviva’s works, the chances are - whatever your involvement with electronic music is - that you will be aware of his work and influence within the electronic music community. The Italian-Canadian artist is also known for his involvement with techno titan Richie Hawtin and the forming of the highly influential labels Plus 8 Recordings and Definitive records and his fruitful involvement with Final Scratch and especially Beatport, being a vital founder of both companies.
He is a pioneer of electronic music’s technological evolution and helped sculpt the genre’s game-changing transition from analog to digital and from vinyl to turntables and laptops. In sharing this vision with Richie Hawtin, they spearheaded a project that would act as the iTunes of dance, which paved the path for a new and zestful era.
I had so much fun recording this episode with John! He had so many great stories to tell as we spoke about his journey right from the beginning up until now… I absolutely love this episode and I’m sure you will too!
