Welcome to another E3 bonus episode! On today's episode we have Dreamteck's very own Mitko Tsaprev who is the Creative Director of Lifeslide. This is also a re-do of our first ever interview for Button Mashing 101! The interview begins around (5:00) and the questions start firing at (6:30) or so. Lifeslide is a game all about life and the challenging journey we all face to achieve our goals and our perseverance is represented with a paper airplane! Yes, we have all watched the Super Mario Bros. trailer, the world will never be the same. Chris Pratt was clearly almost trying his very best in the VO booth so we should all try (not that) hard to be excited for his game changing performance. Obviously we all talk about the BIGGEST news of the week: Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden will launch early next year, will the trophy lists be the same? Then we really get deep into the gritty grime and gunk gabbing about the gruesome garbage launch of Overwatch 2 that straight up didn't work for a long time and requires a text security feature that some can't use.  On a positive note, we discuss the announcement of Need for Speed Unbound and the very cool art style they went with. Will this be a racing game that actually gets the Button Boys interested? Then the STARS* really come out to shine as we talk about the new PlayStation Stars Rewards program. Can Alex and Dan identify games based on song titles circa 1994? Probably not. Finally we get to all of your favorite weekly segments. The Button Boys are back and we recorded and short, sweet, 2 hours of of gaming* discussion for your audio pleasure. Firstly, Number 1 trophy whore Dave, talks about the 2 BIGGEST GAMING STORIES OF THE YEAR. If literally no one else is talking about then I guess they just don't have their finger on the pulse of the industry like we do! Because it's Spooktober, Silent Hill and Resident Evil had creepy little streams to scare silly spectators with slimy spirits spooking startled stars into speculation on scoops soundly sent to streamers. A new Final Fantasy XVI trailer dropped and so did our jaws, Bungie might be reviving their first release "Marathon", and Dan does a front flip from a standstill. Our main topic is all about the discourse surrounding Bayonetta 3 and the actress' who plays her. Should we boycott? Do voice actors get paid enough? Does lying make someone less sympathetic? Speaking of drawing the line, Larian Studios announced they're drawing the line with Dungeon's and Dragon's by not contiuning any DLC or future installments to their award winning title! Then we get really into the weeds and confuse each other when we approach this week's Main Topic. What really is a AAA game? What does that mean? Can only certain genres of games be considered AAA? The big bad button boys get to the bottom of this bewitching botheration by bickering and besmirching both buddies bashing their basis beautifully. Is there even a right answer?* Then things get really hot with the Heat Check. Dan comes in blazing with his GG. Finally, as always, we talk about the games we've been playing. Fantasy Critic draft season might not be at the forefront of the news cycle right now, but it's a yearlong affair. Most of the attention is on the beginning of Fall 2022 right now, but there are folks (like us) who already have their eyes on the 2023 Draft Class. Next year's class is shaping up to be quite different from 2022. The league gave a resounding lukewarm reception to the games that have been delayed. The anticipation for next year's draft could see much more buzz at the league's most important pick; first overall. Mock drafts this time of year are rarely accurate. But it's a worthwhile exercise to see who is worth keeping an eye on in the gaming ranks as well as what a game could look like in a year. Will Tears of the Kingdom live up to the hype? Will Spider-Man 2 launch in 2023? Which teams will take the biggest risks and will they pay off? At this stage we still don't know who will be victorious in the ButtonMashing101 Fantasy Critic League, and we likely won't know until December, but we know who the leaders are. We know who the longshots are, and we also know who is in the middle hoping for a miracle. But a miracle isn't a plan, a plan isn't guaranteed to succeed, and success is often determined deep into the video game release calendar. So tune in to this week's episode to find out which games look the best on paper, which games are sure to impress, and which games have that dog in them. This is our preview of the 2023 Fantasy Critic League, and more than just our pride is on the line.

Greetings Button Mashers! The boys are back to talk about video games once again. What's in store this episode? Ho boy! I'll tell you, that's actually the purpose of this description. Anyway, Nintendo had another Direct that dared to dish the dates of delicious digital delights like Bayonetta 3 and Persona 5 Royal. We go over some rumors about the Horizon TV show coming to Netflix, and the almost shared release dates of Skull and Bones and God of War Ragnarok. PlayStation went on a tweet spree sharing info for several upcoming Indies, GTA 6 rumors are aplenty, and Forspoken was delayed. After the news we sweat it out with the hottest segment on the interwebs; The Heat Check, and Dave shares with us a GG sure to please Roguelite fans all over the world. As always, we go over the games we've been playing in *excruciating* detail that borders on psychotic. Finally, in celebration of Episode 69 we discuss who are the absolute Hottest Daddies in video games. Nice would be selling it short.
