Innovation Spotlight: Furniture You Can Print

Ft. Neil Patel, Founder

Print The Future

About this episode:

Imagine designing your living room, customizing and 3D printing everything at your local 3D printing store in a fraction of the time you would otherwise spend. And if anything doesn’t fit your space, you can easily take it back and it can all be made into something else

3D printing has swept the technology sector by storm, and now it’s coming to consumers! With the 3D printing sector expected to grow to over $20 Billion by 2020, one company is looking to have unique pop-up stores around the world that will be as accessible and your favorite corner coffee shop.

Founder and CEO of Print The Future, Neil Patel, shares:

  • How consumers can use this new technology
  • How 3D printing will affect our everyday lives
  • How you can request a new pop-up store in your city so that you can try 3D printing ideas on demand yourself
  • Ways that anyone can become investors in the future

About Neil Patel:

Neil Patel is a lifelong entrepreneur, launching his first business at the age of 14 and going on to found successful businesses worldwide. Neil has been a founding CEO for over 20 years and sits on the boards of various public and private companies. Currently he is the founder and CEO of Kabuni, a community-driven marketplace for designers, makers and design lovers, where every purchase makes an impact. In 2017, Neil launched Print the Future Inc., a company that makes 3D-printing ideas on demand a reality, via a network of Print the Future stores worldwide.

Americans are giving to charity more than ever. In light of the most recent natural disasters and the holiday season approaching, there’s a new sense of urgency to charitable giving. But how many of us really know how our donations are being spent – and that they’ll make a difference?

Before making donations, donors should do their research to ensure they’re choosing wisely. Evaluators such as Charity Navigator offer charity ratings and in-depth analysis of U.S.-based charities, with criteria including financial management and accountability. Givers should also understand the cause they’re trying to support, and look for charities that effectively address the causes they’re passionate about.

I'm chatting with Thomas Tighe, CEO of Direct Relief – one of the nation’s highest rated and most reputable NGOs. He can share tips on charitable giving, explain red flags, suggest questions that people should ask when making a gift, and offer recommendations for charities.

02 Jan 2018124 - Become A Better Manager in 2018 with Advice from Management Expert Katy Tynan00:21:29

In her new book, How Did I Not See This Coming? A Manager’s Guide to Avoiding Total Disaster, Katy Tynan unlocks the truths about management, showing that first-time managers are basically on a journey without a map. It’s not that employers aren’t investing in their new managers, she says, or that the people in leadership don’t care, but they are no longer close to the raw experience of being a new manager. What’s more, most management books are written by experts who lack the memory of first-time failure.

23 Apr 2019192 - The Best Way to Spend Your Tax Return in 2019, Ft. Joey Price00:11:46

Thank you for tuning in for another episode of the BLC podcast! I got an interesting question on Instagram the other day so for this week, I’ll be discussing several ways you can use your tax return in order to invest in yourself. Managing your finances is usually not a great source of fun, but getting back some money you weren’t counting on is always a pleasurable experience. It’s kind of like a supersized feeling of finding a 20 in your back pocket! And you can let that money ride and invest it in a way that will help you either secure your future or improve your business. Enjoy the show!
