The Minnesota Wild wound up with a total of five out of six possible points this past week, including a franchise record 14 game point streak! Ryan Hartman has certainly picked up his game of late, especially this past week, along with Matt Boldy, who is essential for the Wild hopes with Kaprizov out. The past few weeks, clearly two players have stood out from all the rest, no surprise Kirill Kaprizov is one of them, as he's been just about the only player scoring. The Minnesota Wild have won six games in row, with solid defense and good goal tending. It's nice to know that the Wild can feel comfortable with either goalie in net, along with the fact that the stars of this team feel safer than ever with Ryan Reeves a part of the team. The Minnesota Wild had a week that was a split, including a hapless loss in San Jose, followed by an impressive showing in Winnipeg. Mats Zuccarello continued his red hot play, scoring two goals, and making one of the best plays of the season, setting up Freddie Gaudreau on a pass that litterally went threw a sliding defender with perfect accuracy, tape to tape.

The Minnesota Wild had a couple of frustrating losses to the Vegas Golden Knights this past week, luckily getting a point in the second game, and officially clinching another playoff berth. In a 3-1 week for Minnesota, we come out thinking we could be better, after the last three games, giving up leads or just being flat sloppy versus a not good Anaheim team. A number of young prospects keep taking steps forward, which is a very encouraging sign for the not too distant future.

The Minnesota Wild opened up the playoffs with Filip Gustavsson in net, and played a complete game, with a double overtime victory in game one. Marco Rossi has shown positive signs defensively, and his overall game, but the scoring just hasn't happened yet, so some time in the AHL will definitely help him get closer to where he would like to be as an NHLer. The winning streak ended slow and painful in Vancouver, when a promising first period lead to a lot less exciting rest of the game, getting shutout by good backup Casey DeSmith. Edmonton was a back and forth battle, where a controversial hit on the boards by Evander Kane, lead to Jonas Brodin suffering an apparent broken arm or wrist. Thankfully, the "Gus Bus" was ready to add a shutout of his own in Seattle. Since John Hynes took over, Matt Boldy is producing at a similar pace to how he played last March.

Marc Andre Fleury also was a standout in Boston, helping guide the Wild to one of the best wins of the season. A fairly busy week for the Minnesota Wild, making four trades, two of which were fairly popular younger players in Brandon Duhaime and Connor Dewar, along with veterans Patrick Maroon and Nic Petan. Marat Khusnutdinov made his arrival in Minnesota, and any day now, will be in the lineup, for the long-term future! The Minnesota Wild lost in sad fashion to the Philadelphia Flyers, blowing a 3-1 lead, but that paled in comparison to the almost unthinkable 6-0 embarrassment to the Arizona Coyotes, at home! The Minnesota Wild had an up and down week, shutting out the Ducks twice, with two different goalies. After a nice comeback, the Wild couldn't finish in St Louis, and things were bad from the get go in Los Angeles. Liam Ohgren likes very promising, Brock Faber appears to be a franchise defenseman, now hopefully the Wild can have addition via subtraction coming soon.

Bill Guerin gave up a number of future draft choices, along with Daemon Hunt, for 2022 6th overall pick, defenseman David Jiricek. Luckily this doesn't take from the current makeup, and has a chance to be one heck of a defense core in the future. Meanwhile, the actual club continues to win games, albeit close, but winning nonetheless, and remain in first place!

The Minnesota Wild are literally back at full strength, and it showed during the 3-0 display this past week since the last show! Paladino Joey and Neil "Natedogg" Thesing glow with positivity in this one, because there was very little to complain about of late, as nearly the entire team is playing well, and contributing consistently!

The Wild have made baby steps this year from last, and in some cases, big improvements, including the play of Brent Burns. Everything said, in this episode, Joey talks about how the overall progress of the organization has been stagnant, as the Minnesota Wild remain parallel in the 10th seed in the Western Conference.

Paladino Joey finally returns to B.T.W. to talk about a host of topics including: A quick wrap up of the Stanley Cup Finals, the Wild's 2010 draft, free agency, and finally our 2010 Wild awards! (or demerits)

After a lackadaisical start to the week in a 3-0 home loss vs the Ottawa Senators, the Wild were lead by some of the most unlikely of sources in the next two games, especially against Dallas! Joey flies solo yet again in this one, and he resurrects the North Stars memory segment, which he plans to make a regular bit again. This North Stars trip down memory lane comes at the most appropriate time, regarding what took place this week in the NHL!

Joey is joined again by Neil "Natedogg" Theising as the two discuss great play of Guillaume Latendresse, and of the Wild in general. Unfortunately the Wild's four game win streak ends very quietly in St. Louis. Call into our phone lines at 209-736-7877.

The Wild go 1-1 this past week, and will end up .500 for the month of February as they lose AT HOME to the Atlanta Thrashers. The good news however, is that the Wild have somehow figured out Roberto Luongo and the Vancouver Canucks in a big way of late. We also get into Pierre Marc-Bouchard and his long recovery from concussion junction.

In the "Silver" episode 25 of B.T.W. we cover the first four games of the Wild's season. Joey notices some nice and welcome changes in how the Wild operates, but it may take a long time to see better results in the W-L column.

The Wild have improved from last year, particularly in the net, but the scoring, especially of late, has completely eluded them. With nobody on the current roster, or in Houston with anything resembling a goal scorer, the Wild get a blast from the past, and acquire former blue chip prospect Patrick O'Sullivan off waivers.

After a rough 4-6 run in the Wild's last ten games, including a five game losing streak, the much coveted eight seed in the Western Conference is looking further away then ever. Wild officials are in negotiations right now in Los Angeles with Gaborik's agent Ron Salcer. Brent Burns has surgery, Kurtis Foster finally skating again, other NHL news.

Joey discusses what a difference a week can make, the Wild goaltending suddenly is great, the local club suddenly is scoring early (accept for the Colorado game), and Josh Harding wins in a 1-0 game! Goal support, smothering defense, and jumping out early prove what the Wild can be, even without a great roster, just wait until they have one!

The enigmatic Petr Kalus has been sent down to Houston for the third year in a row, will he quit on the team again? Danny Irmen has made a very good impression on coach Todd Richards. Irmen believes that the change in system could mean a long awaited NHL job is in the works.

After an 0-5 stretch since episode 72, against inferior Eastern Conference teams (with the exception of the Penguins), your host Joey Awaijane has had enough of Wild Coach Mike Yeo. There clearly has been a pattern every single year, where the Wild start strong, and then totally tail spin with virtually unexplainable losses to teams they have no business losing to.

The Minnesota Wild have become a force in the Western Conference, after such a sluggish start, the team is showing signs of becoming a long-term winner in the NHL. Ryan Suter has exploded, and become well worth the 100 million contract that he signed last summer, as he, Zach Parise, and Mikko Koivu have developed a chemistry, that may someday be in the story books for many years to come. The second line for the Wild, also has been very key to their recent surge to first place in the Northwest Division.

The Minnesota Wild cannot seem to protect their home ice on a consistent basis and that is why a first place team is a third place team. Losing home games to division rivals like Vancouver and inferior teams like the St Louis Blues have incensed this show host of late. Marian Gaborik returns to practice and may play soon, but when and for how long?

Strange and Wonderful things have been happening with the Minnesota Wild, despite injuries, and sickness taking their toll on some of the vital pieces of this club. The Wild finally win in LA, in the most unexpected fashion, followed by a very impressive win in Phoenix, only to lose at home again to Colorado, but that didn't derail the guys from stomping Nashville!

The Wild are the hottest team in the NHL in their last 10 games, tied with Boston at 8-1-1. The newcomers' magic has cooled some, while the established vets have taken back over, along with some of the disappointing players finally stepping up.

Disappointing play by your Minnesota Wild has brought them back to the .500 club, as they are once again playing .500 hockey, after a 1-2 week, the Wild are now 3-3 in February, which clearly puts the Wild out of Playoff Contention. Paladino Joey also talks about the improved play and attitude by Benoit Pouliot, and talks a little Houston Aeros as well. (Wild AHL Affiliate)

The Wild made news twice, with the signing of Marek Zidlicky to a three year 12 million dollar deal, and the trading of Eric Belanger to the Washington Capitals for a second round pick. With Backstrom sick, Harding's sore hip goes from hurt to injured, leaving the Wild to their third and fourth options in net. Anton Kudobin, the fourth option looks better then Wade Dubielewicz (third option).

In the two games before the Olympic break, the Wild simply got the job done, with two close, but clutch wins against Tampa Bay and Nashville. Joey expresses his amazement at just how tough the Central Division truly is, as the Wild STILL trail third place Colorado by 10 points. Joey has a slightly different type of North Stars memory this time around, and sends off our boys to what we hope will be their first gold medal since that wonder time 34 years ago.

As the Wild went 3-0-0 in the last week, we talk about the key play of the team's newcomers. Guillame Latendress, Chuck Kobasew, and Andrew Ebbet have lead the Wild to three straight wins, bringing the team to one game under .500.

The Wild trade Benoit Pouliott for Latendresse Guillaume, and acquire Andrew Ebbet via waivers, but the "excitement" doesn't end there! The Wild have become the Concussion Junction, with Bouchard missing all but one game with his head injury, Brent Burns with his second one in 6 months, and Petr Sykora also incurring one.

Joey catches up with the Minnesota Wild offseason, in this the first of a two part series. In this episode, we talk about Marian Gaborik leaving, Martin Havlet arriving, briefly get into the draft, small FA signings and discuss the Wild's new third jersey!
