14 Mar 2017 | Episode #4: Restoring Your Health from Lyme Disease with Dr. Bill Rawls, MD | 00:58:22
Why You Should Listen: In this episode, you will learn about restoring your health from Lyme disease with herbal therapies with Dr. Bill Rawls, MD. As an MD himself, Dr. Rawls has a unique perspective on treating chronic illness and shares how he recovered his own health from the clutches of Lyme disease. Enjoy! About My Guest: My guest for this episode is Dr. Bill Rawls, MD. Dr. Rawls was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in his mid-forties and developed insomnia, fatigue, joint pain, muscle pain, and eventually chest pain and heartbeat irregularities. As a doctor, he searched far and wide within the conventional medicine realm, but nothing added up. He then began searching outside of conventional medicine and towards health restoration. He became vigilant about his diet, adopted a moderate exercise program, meditated, and learned yoga. He also began to experiment with herbal supplements known to have restorative properties. This approach worked and he began to get his health back...until he was bitten by a tick and developed Lyme disease. He then learned about herbal protocols for combating Lyme disease and began to feel human again after a few months of using high-dose herbs. He has continued his exploration and is doing very well today. Dr. Rawls will be sharing his journey in detail in his new book Unlocking Lyme. Key Takeaways:

About My Guest: My guest for this episode is Jody Levy. Jody Levy is the founder of The LabElymental Milk Cleanse, NeuroPraxis, and soon-to-be MYCOMEFREE. She is also the co-founder of WTRMLN WTR. Jody has quietly been suffering from symptoms associated with Lyme Disease, Mold Illness (CIRS), and a slew of co-infections and related imbalances for over 20 years. Now she is fully recovered and living her best life. She feels strong, healthy, pain–free, and proud of her discoveries. She always knew she could not expose her struggle until she was able to share the solutions that helped her get better. In her unwavering belief that her journey was bigger than herself, she is now committed to creating simple and easy products that people can use to relieve their suffering and thrive. For years, she was committed to understanding why she was always exhausted, in pain, puffy, blurry, and foggy. No-one could figure out what was wrong with her. But she was relentlessly determined to understand why she did not feel good. She set out on a painful and tedious journey to find solutions to help herself, and others, feel happy and healthy. She always knew that if she stayed the course, she would find the tools that would help her and ultimately many other people. She spun a web of the most exceptional doctors, scientists, researchers, practitioners, and healers who all played their part in her epic recovery. She tried so many treatments. She mapped her genetics and her entire body. She was meticulous about how she recorded her treatments. Protocol by protocol, she tracked and cross-referenced her short-term and long-term results. She tried things that nearly killed her and when they didn’t work, she would get right back up and try again. Because she knew – intuitively – that she was going to discover things that would help her and others like her return to vibrant health. During this process she was optimistic, but she was also skeptical of everything. After years of treatments, she questioned if she would ever arrive at an answer. And she finally succeeded! She healed herself of Lyme Disease and mold exposure. She got rid of co-infections and the agonizing symptoms of viruses and parasites. Her mental commitment, psychological anguish, and massive financial investments paid off. She got herself better. Her test results came back clean. Her brain cleared, her vision got crisp, and her mood balanced. Today, she is working to bring all of these solutions to as many people as she possibly can, so that no one has to suffer the way she did for as long as she did. Key Takeaways:

06 Feb 2018 | Episode #60: Borrelia Research with Dr. Eva Sapi, PhD | 00:49:19
Why You Should Listen: In this episode, you will learn about ongoing Borrelia research underway at University of New Haven. About My Guest: My guest for this episode is Dr. Eva Sapi. Dr. Eva Sapi, PhD is a Professor and Department Chair at the Department of Biology and Environmental Science at University of New Haven where she teaches undergraduate and graduate biology courses and carries out Lyme disease research with her graduate students. She received her PhD in 1995. Her research interest is to investigate the different forms of Borrelia burgdorferi to better understand how Borrelia can hide from the immune system as well as from antimicrobial therapies. Her recent research shows that Borrelia burgdorferi is capable of forming a protective layer around itself called biofilm which could render it to be very resistant to antibiotics and provide a logical explanation as to why extensive antibiotic treatment for patients with a tick-bite history could fail. The goal of her research group is to fully characterize this novel form and to identify novel antibacterial agents that are effective in killing all forms of Borrelia burgdorferi. Dr. Sapi organized and chaired six Lyme Disease Symposiums at the University of New Haven during the last several years. Her research interests include Lyme disease, pathogenic biofilm, antibiotic resistance, and the different morphological forms of Borrelia burgdorferi. Key Takeaways:

His interest in preserving some of the traditional features of Oriental medicine led him to develop a database dedicated to the archiving of classical knowledge where a selection of his publications can be accessed at ClassicalChineseMedicine.org. His strong belief in the clinical efficacy of Chinese herbal medicine lead him to found the Hai Shan Center, a clinic in the Columbia River Gorge specializing in the treatment of difficult and recalcitrant diseases. Out of concern over the rapidly declining quality of medicinals from mainland China, he has founded the company Classical Pearls that specializes in the import of wild-crafted and sustainably grown Chinese herbs. 02 May 2018 | Episode #69: AmpCoil with Aaron and Geneva Bigelow | 01:25:34
Why You Should Listen: In this episode, you will learn about the delivery of frequency and vibration in support of optimizing health with the use of the AmpCoil. About My Guests: My guests for this episode are Aaron and Geneva Bigelow. When Aaron and Geneva Bigelow started their healing journey 12 years ago, they believed Lyme disease was going to be part of their lives forever. Having both worked for many years in the biotech industry, they’d tried biofeedback, PEMF and bioresonance technology, but weren’t getting sustainable results. They eventually found a solution that eliminated forever the devastating effects of Lyme disease. That is when the AmpCoil was born. They used an early prototype to help their family get their lives back, but knew deeply that the mission was much greater than their own family’s wellness because so many people were suffering. They tried everything to get their lives back. There were moments when Aaron couldn't get out of bed. Then he’d hear of the next great thing - feel better for a short time, but soon relapse again. One of those things was high-grade ozone therapy. Traveling to Tijuana, Mexico every day for months, he witnessed people in the waiting room close to death and hundreds of people crossing the border seeking hope on their journey to wellness. In that moment, Aaron began to feel gratitude for his journey, knowing it must lead to a greater story. He kept his hope alive this way. During Aaron’s health crisis, Geneva developed left-sided paralysis and migraines, also due to Lyme and co-infections, and was pregnant with their second daughter. Neither of them could work. The turning point came when they hit bottom. Geneva was nine months pregnant and standing in the welfare line waiting for food stamps, then they were to spend the night at a homeless shelter. At this point, they’d spent over $200,000 on treatments and accrued $100,000 in unpaid medical bills. They were also watching their eldest daughter have regular seizures as she too battled with Lyme. Aaron remembers thinking, “you may be able to take one of us, but you won’t take our daughter.” They needed a miracle. Today they’re symptom free. As founders of AmpCoil, life is eventful. The Bigelows, along with the entire AmpCoil team, credit their success so far to their own journey to wellness using the technology. Many members of the team used the AmpCoil device to get on the other side of Lyme, severe autoimmune conditions, and other illnesses, and today they are passionate about sharing their stories. Aaron says, “It’s always the deep transformations that we needed to go through that propel us forward in life and often something profound is born out of those experiences.” In this case, it was the AmpCoil. Through this self-directed secondary medical residency she was able to cultivate an understanding of the two underlying questions about health, healing and longevity. Specifically, they are, “What is really making us sick, and causing inflammation which we know fosters disease to grow and develop?” and “What does science, confirmed by direct and reproducible experience, tell us, and show us, can be done on a root (not merely symptomatic) level to facilitate and foster health, healing and longevity?” In 2013, Dr. DeSylvia left her position at UCLA as an Associate Clinical Faculty member to form an Integrative Medical Center of her own on the Westside of Los Angeles, Ca. Whole Life Health MD. Dr. Tony Smith, DC, is a chiropractor and founder of Dynamic Health, a holistic healthcare facility in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He became fascinated with alternative medicine while attending the University of Kansas after he was dramatically healed from a chronic disabling condition. He realized then that he wanted to pursue a career in natural healing. Immediately after graduating from KU, Dr. Smith enrolled at Cleveland Chiropractic College, where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1980. During his 38 years of practice, Dr. Smith passionately studied and practiced a wide range of progressive natural-healing methods. This enabled him to become successful at treating chronic, difficult health problems. His accumulated knowledge and wealth of clinical experience eventually inspired him to develop and teach several profound healing techniques. They include AllerTouch, CranioBiotic Technique (CBT) and, most importantly, LymeStop. LymeStop is the product of Dr. Smith’s research with hundreds of chronic Lyme disease patients. Thus far, this all-natural technique has helped more than 4,000 Lyme sufferers worldwide. Due to the tremendous amount of physician interest and patient need, Dr. Smith will be teaching LymeStop in the near future. Dr. Smith lives in Post Falls, Idaho, with his wife, Lisa. He has two adult daughters of whom he is very proud. Dr. Smith is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, the Idaho Association of Chiropractic Physicians, and the Christian Chiropractors Association. 20 Sep 2019 | Episode #105: Essential Oils with Jodi Cohen | 01:12:19
Why You Should Listen: In this episode, you will learn about the use of essential oils in supporting health recovery and health optimization. About My Guest: My guest for this episode is Jodi Cohen. Jodi Cohen is a bestselling author, award-winning journalist, functional practitioner, busy mom, loyal friend, and unshakable cheerleader dedicated to helping you and your family regain vibrant health. She is the founder of Vibrant Blue Oils where she combines her training in nutritional therapy and aromatherapy to create unique proprietary blends of organic and wild-crafted essential oils. Her journey to essential oils began with her own health struggles when anxiety, depression, and exhaustion led her to being barely able to function. Simple tasks like answering the phone or doing laundry were completely overwhelming. Jodi has helped over 50,000 clients heal from brain-related challenges including anxiety, insomnia, and autoimmunity. She had tried intense restrictive diets, expensive supplements, and all sorts of therapies. These helped a little, but very little. She was constantly treading water and barely stating afloat, but not improving. Her protocols kept her from drowning, but never pulled her out of the deep water. Everything shifted when a friend gifted her a box of essential oils with an assurance that they would help. She began formulating essential oil blends based on her knowledge of physiology. Her first was to support her own exhausted adrenal glands and within minutes she felt like herself for the first time in months. She finally had a life vest. Eventually, friends and clients tested the formulations with similar success. As the author of the #1 Bestselling book, Healing with Essential Oils, Jodi was inspired to educate clinicians and individuals after personally experiencing the profound physical and mental benefits that essential oils could deliver. For the past ten years, Jodi has worked closely with healthcare practitioners - including MDs, NDs, nurse practitioners, chiropractors, acupuncturists, health coaches, nutritionists and yoga instructors - to discover the best essential oil protocols in clinical practice to support underlying imbalances that often lead to disease, including supporting sleep, stress, digestion, inflammation, detoxification, and blood-sugar imbalances. Why You Should Listen: In this episode, you will learn about the root causes of CIRS including Actinos and endotoxins. About My Guest: My guest for this episode is Dr. Eric Dorninger. Eric Dorninger ND, LAc is a Registered Naturopathic Doctor and Licensed Acupuncturist. He graduated from Bastyr University, the leading accredited university for science-based natural medicine. Prior to medical school, he received his B.A. in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1997. During this time he also finished his E.M.T. (Emergency Medical Technician) training and volunteered at Porter Care Hospice in Denver. This dual exposure of medical perspectives laid down the roots for Dr. Dorninger’s integrated approach to diagnosis, treatment, and healing. Following undergrad, Dr. Dorninger served as an EMT for the Cranford First Aid Squad in Cranford, NJ. He then completed his doctorate in naturopathic medicine and his master’s degree in acupuncture at Bastyr University in 2003, after which he returned to Boulder, Colorado to complete a 2-year residency in naturopathic primary care. In 2005, Dr. Dorninger founded Roots and Branches Integrative Health Care, a clinic dedicated to “Mystery Illness” where he focuses on elucidating the underlying causes of unrelenting chronic illness. Dr. Dorninger is not concerned with what you have as much as he is with why you have it. He has dedicated his professional life to a deeper understanding of differential diagnosis based in the tradition of “Remove Obstacles to Cure.” After the 2013 floods in Boulder, Dr. Dorninger noticed that patients who were initially getting better suddenly regressed. Moreover, patients he was struggling to diagnose got worse. Fortunately, he was guided to the honest, data-driven, peer-reviewed, reproducible published work of Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker on mold and biotoxin illness. In 2014 Dr. Dorninger signed on for his Shoemaker certification training. Dr. Dorninger is a certified Shoemaker practitioner and remains true to the Shoemaker protocol. According to Dorninger, diagnosing underlying causes and facilitating accurate treatment plans is a grind. At Roots and Branches, we embrace the grind. In addition to private practice, Dr. Dorninger teaches functional medicine for Apex Energetics, practices Jiu-Jitsu, skis, and enjoys watching his biotoxin-genetically susceptible kids thrive post chronic inflammatory response syndrome (CIRS) treatment. 12 Sep 2018 | Episode #83: Parent Essential Oils with Brian Peskin, BSEE-MIT | 01:32:45
Why You Should Listen: In this episode, you will learn about Parent Essential Oils, why unadulterated omega 6 is critical for health, and how PEOs are key to cell membrane health. About My Guest: My guest for this episode is Professor Brian Peskin. Brian Peskin, BSEE-MIT is a world-leading scientist specializing in parent essential fatty acids or EFAs — termed Parent Essential Oils or PEOs — and their direct relationship to cardiovascular disease, cancer, and wound care. While advancing the scientific understanding of the role of essential fatty acids in the body’s metabolic pathways, he has also advanced the discoveries of Nobel Prize-winner Otto Warburg, MD, PhD. — to increase cellular oxygenation. These concepts are described in his book "The Hidden Story of Cancer". Amazingly, there is a fundamental cancer-heart disease connection, whereby the same physiologic solution solves both conditions. This information will lead to a new understanding of how to treat and prevent both cancer and heart disease. The basis for Peskin’s current work, grounded strictly in state-of-the-art science — in particular, physiology — can be found in his seminal work and peer-reviewed medical journal articles. Clinical physicians throughout the world have validated his EFA recommendations. In the most exciting development to date, Brian’s theoretical conclusions were recently and completely validated in a physiological experiment by precise instrumentation capable of measuring arterial compliance. This experiment provided the first conclusive clinical proof and validation of his theory. Key Takeaways:

20 Jan 2025 | Episode #210: Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome with Dr. Derik Anderson, DC, CPT, CSN | 01:47:57
Why You Should Listen: In this episode, you will learn about Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and effective approaches to treatment. About My Guest: My guest for this episode is Dr. Derik Anderson. Derik Anderson, DC, CPT, CSN helps his patients be healthier by utilizing his education and personal and professional backgrounds. Dr. Anderson grew up wanting to help people and initially planned to go to business school to work in energy conservation. After a good friend’s life was positively changed by chiropractic care, he had a change of heart. His friend spent two years with horrific intestinal problems and saw over a dozen providers, but no one could help her – until she saw a chiropractor. The chiropractor knew that the vertebra and muscles around them affected the nerves that controlled the intestines. After treatment, she was no longer bed-ridden and went back to teaching, traveling and leading an active life. Dr. Anderson realized that health care was his calling and his passion for helping people was channeled into chiropractic. Dr. Anderson lives what he practices. He is an avid runner, nationally competitive sailor, surfs, and is a youth coach. Dr. Anderson eats a diet high in vegetables, low in starch, and drinks several quarts of water each day. Why? Food is our bodies’ fuel and muscles consume 70% of that fuel (the brain consumes another 20%), so to reach our maximum potential, our food chain needs to be clean, appropriate, and healthy for our needs. About My Guest: My guest for this episode is Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt. I was in the front row of his conference probably asking more questions than he would have liked, but it was the start of my journey with his work, and I was beyond excited and hopeful. I then became a patient and worked with him for several years and was able to regain my health through the implementation of not only his treatment protocols, but his healing framework. To this day, no other person has impacted my understanding of health and wellness as much as Dr. Klinghardt, and I will be forever grateful.

14 Mar 2017 | Episode #6: Debugging Your Health with Susan Luschas, PhD | 00:58:15
Why You Should Listen: In this episode, you will learn how a PhD from MIT in science and engineering used her engineering mind, energetic medicine, and muscle testing to recover her family's health from Lyme disease and autism. Enjoy! About My Guest: My guest for this episode is Susan Luschas. Susan is an MIT trained PhD, scientist, and engineer. Why would a PhD from MIT start debugging her own family’s health, and why in the world would she create DebugYourHealth.com? Susan's family was a normal family of four - or as she says as normal as can be with two engineering PhD parents can get. Her oldest daughter started showing concerning behaviors around age 2. She was skipping meals, had a distended belly, was vomiting, had nausea, and weight loss. They did the doctor parade and had diagnoses from dysbiosis to allergies to failure to thrive. Her health continued to spiral downward and at age 4, she had such pain that she could not walk and had full-blown autism. She was rocking back and forth in a dark corner and lost her ability to speak. As if that wasn't enough for a family to contend with, Susan, her younger daughter, and her husband all later became ill. We'll let her tell us how that happened. What drew me to Susan's story was how she applied her engineering mind and problem solving skills to essentially become her family's doctor and to debug their health. As I personally am a big fan of various forms of energetic testing, I loved the part of the story where Susan, an MIT PhD, used muscle testing and other forms of energetic testing to help guide her family out of the darkness. And even cooler, she did it. Key Takeaways:

The Perrin Technique™ is an osteopathic approach developed in 1989, originally for ME/CFS, that aims to manually drain toxins from the cerebrospinal fluid into the lymphatic system. Movement of the spine and massage of the soft tissues in the head, neck, back, and chest direct all the toxins out of the lymphatic system and into the blood, where they are eventually detoxified by the liver. Eventually, with less poisons affecting the central nervous system, the hypothalamus and the sympathetic nervous system begin to function correctly, restoring health to the patient. 23 Dec 2020 | Episode #134: PEMF with Dr. William Pawluk, MD, MSc | 01:34:13
Why You Should Listen: In this episode, you will learn about the application of Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy in supporting health and wellness. About My Guest: My guest for this episode is Dr. William Pawluk. William Pawluk, MD, MSc is a holistic doctor near Baltimore, MD. He has held academic positions at Johns Hopkins and University of Maryland. His is trained in acupuncture, nutrition, herbals, energy medicine, homeopathy, hypnosis, bodywork, and multiple other therapies. He is considered the foremost authority on the use of Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy in North America. His areas of interest include holistic pain management, regenerative health, stem cell stimulation, anti-aging, sleep, and anxiety. His main emphasis is using PEMFs as a new solution for stubborn, chronic, and frustrating health problems. He strives to try to resolve the cause of the problem and not to simply put a Band-Aid on it. Most conventional treatments for pain rely on “numbing and dumbing,” that simply make the perception of pain better but don’t heal the cause. After 25 years of seeing the risks and side effects of traditional health solutions and approaches, and after studying various healing modalities, he discovered that PEMFs provide the most benefit and allow safe, non-toxic, self-directed, self-controlled, at-home pain management. He has authored a comprehensive book on healing with magnetic fields called “Power Tools for Health.” Key Takeaways:
