In this episode, we discuss our favorite spiritual tools; those items we use to enhance and experience our spiritual life. From different types of incenses, to candles and Florida Water we talk about different ways we incorporate different spiritual tools into our personal practices. We also delve into some of the ceremonial and religious origins of these "tools" as well as modern uses. You know, we love our crystals and although we may not know all the names, we’ve found our own unique ways to use and appreciate our crystals. Jenny shares how they helped her sleep issues, and how we've both used them to bring abundance as well as beauty into our lives. Thank you so much for tuning in to this VERY special episode. This episode has been a long time in the making and I am so proud and honored to share it with you. In the 1970's, Shakti Gawain and Marc Allen founded New World Library as a way to synthesize and share all of the information they were learning and absorbing as "workshop junkies." Founded in the Bay Area, literally the womb of the New Age Movement - New World Library is now a thriving force in book publishing. Guilted into completing what would become a classic, Shakti wrote, "Creative Visualization; Use the Power of Your Imagination to Create What You Want in Your Life." Published in 1978, the book quickly became an "underground" hit and then exploded when Oprah interviewed Shakti in the 1980's. Shakti became an accomplished author of many books, an inspirational speaker and teacher who was constantly curious and open to exploring new techniques and ideas. Though Shakti passed in 2018, her teachings and voice are still vibrant and relevant - my intention in this episode is to share her incredible light and legacy. I feel beyond blessed to have met Marc Allen and chat with him about his own Spiritual experiences, the birth of New World Library and his long friendship with Shakti. He gives real insight into the special moment in time that birthed seekers like he and Shakti and has some incredible stories to tell. If you only listen to one episode, listen to this one! I've gathered 4 amazing guests to share their insights and perspectives on how they manifest. While so many of the same lessons come up: the importance of gratitude and overcoming feelings of unworthiness, for example - each guest shares their unique view. We discuss the importance of vibrational alignment, moving through your own blocks, creating ritual, how to use your senses to help manifest and the value of prioritizing your spiritual life even while building a business. When I first conceived of this podcast last year, I decided to focus on the first 12 episodes. I wanted to make a marker for success so that if the whole podcast thing wasn't for me, I wouldn't feel like a failure if I stopped. So I made the goal of 12 episodes and early on decided that the 12th episode would be about (you guessed it!): Manifesting! I've spent months preparing (I even read over 300pages of "Awaken the Giant Within" by Anthony Robbins!). But in the end, I realized that the best way to make relatable the seemingly mysterious business of manifesting was to share people I know who manifest with ease and have them tell how they do it. I've chimed in here and there with my thoughts correlating this all with the chakra system but honestly - they say it all better than I ever could. Welcome back to the Are You Spiritual Podcast! Today, we had a last-minute inspiration to talk about protecting your vibe and that’s why we want to share our personal techniques for creating protection in high-stress situations where you have no control over your surroundings. In this episode, we offer various grounding practices, some of which can be used in the moment, while others can become part of a daily routine. These include the Spiritual Jumpsuit and the Camouflage Egg, both of which can help provide a sense of calm and put a forcefield around your vibe. Jamie Wozny, shares how Reiki found her and how she chooses to have a “love affair with the non-physical.” Kelsey Patel explains how Reiki came into her life at a pivotal moment and how her experience with Reiki has changed over time. While Karishma, only a few days after her first Reiki attunement shares her own perspective as a newbie.
