11 Feb 2020 | Obsessed with Fly Fishing and Raising Kids in the Outdoors, with Amber Toner | 00:42:22 | |
Amber Toner runs The Bug Parade, a successful blog and Instagram account, where her and her husband show the world how a family can raise two boys, yet still make time to get in the outdoors and go fly fishing. One of the awesome advantages to being a fly fisherman is that trout need cold, fast moving water to survive. This type of environment is usually found in rivers and streams coming out of the mountains and is Amber’s bread and butter. Hailing from Calgary, Alberta and being located only about 90 minutes from Banff, she has quick access to some of the most pristine and downright beautiful scenery in North America. As a true master fisherman, she is also equally comfortable in saltwater and catching monster ocean fish on just a dry fly. Amber is committed to exposing her family to the outdoors and is eager to see more parents making that a priority in their lives. This episode is a fun conversation between two outdoor enthusiasts and one that every parent should hear.
