Casey Strunk is based in Phoenix and is a part of the Strunk Insurance Group, a family-run business started by his father in 1982. The company recently celebrated its 40th year in business. Casey is the second generation in the business, with his sister handling the finance and accounting department. Casey's Golf Background: Casey played major division one golf at Northwestern University. His decision to attend Northwestern was influenced by his father, who played football there. He discussed the challenges and experiences of playing golf at a competitive level, highlighting the individualistic nature of the sport compared to team sports like baseball, which he also played in high school. Casey had the opportunity to play alongside top golfers, including Luke Donald, a former world number one. Transition from Golf to Business: Casey drew parallels between his golf career and his business journey. He emphasized the importance of discipline, consistency, and the mindset required to excel in both fields. He mentioned that in golf, like in business, it's the small things you do when no one's watching that make the difference. Strunk Insurance Group and the Health Care System: Casey discussed the challenges in the health care system and the role of insurance groups as intermediaries. He emphasized the importance of effective administration and communication in ensuring clients get the best ROI on their investment. However, when you look back at some of the best pitchers of the last 20-30 years, there are plenty who stood shorter than six feet. Again, it's all perspective. What I saw as a hurdle, they saw as an opportunity. In this episode, I'll share 3 steps you can take RIGHT NOW to start living the life you know you're capable of.
