05 Jan 2024Creating a powerful vision for 202400:21:33

We’re back! First up this season I’m talking about setting a powerful vision for 2024. I’m talking you through how I’ve created my vision and what that starts to look like for me, so you can create this for yourself too.

The key rituals that I talk through are:

1)     Reflect on 2023 with gratitude. Consider areas like career, money, relationships, home environment, wellbeing, travel, love and add any others that feel right for you.

2)     What are you releasing from 2023? I like write out a list and burn it

3)     Write a gratitude letter to 2023

4)     What do you want to feel, be and have in 2024? Focus on feelings, not achievements.

5)     Write a gratitude letter to 2024 as if it’s done.

6)     What does your day look like?

7)     What commitments are you making to yourself?

8)     What do you need in in order to make this happen?

9)     Write a mantra for your year in the form of “I am…., I have….”

19 Jan 2024Networking Your Way with Isabel Sachs00:54:37

This episode, I'm talking to Isabel Sachs, who is the founder of I Like Networking.  She's an entrepreneur, she's a public speaker, she's worked in arts, culture and entertainment in Brazil and in the UK.

During the early stages of the pandemic she created I Like Networking, which is designed to help support women and non binary people in the creative industry with building a network, with building a profile, creating a broader scope of influence, with creating more access.

Networking is a really interesting topic to explore because a lot of people  can feel like it's quite alien or that it's something that's quite difficult or maybe even intimidating.

We talk about:

  • The importance of a network for supporting better representation and diversity
  • How to think about your own network
  • How to put yourself out there and how she manages failure

15 Jun 2021Introducing - A Woman in a Man's World00:01:17

A new podcast for women working in environments created for and by men. Hear inspiring stories from women who've been there. What were their experiences? How did they get to where they are? How did they overcome the obstacle of being a woman in a man's world? What do they wish they knew when they first started?

There's a vicious circle where it's harder for women to thrive in business because we often can't see someone else thriving. For women who are one of only a few, it can be easy to feel alone.

Through sharing success stories, women can get advice from those who have been there. Knowing that we're not doing this alone and seeing other women succeed is half the battle.

Because you can't be what you can't see.

05 Aug 2021Breaking Out of the Box with Vanessa Challess00:36:57

This week my guest is Vanessa Challess, founder of Tiger Law and Tiger HR. We're talking about breaking out of the boxes that we're often put in that weren't necessarily made for us, and what we can do if we forge our own way. We also talk about how Vanessa built a business after being fired while pregnant, the domestic burden so often put on women and why she's done explaining why she's an equal.

About Vanessa:
Vanessa started her legal consultancy in January 2015 whilst pregnant with her third child and having decided that employment was not for her. She has since built Tiger Law, Tiger HR and will relaunch the original legal consultancy as a fully digital offering, a project she is working on now. Having qualified in 2003, she never did fit into the boxes that the profession seemed intent on keeping her in, and breaking out has been the most exhilarating ride she’s ever been on. From moments of crushing stress and anxiety to the highs of growing the team, amazing client feedback and consistently challenging those who would hold us back, you can count on Vanessa to be honest about her experiences. For Vanessa, being brave is not about not feeling the fear but feeling it, owning it and doing it anyway – we all can.
