Thursday Show. Fourth Show of the week. HO-LY CONTENT!

Content has been king this week and we hope that you are enjoying it all. Today we get into all the normal formalities  of praying and previews but we get a whole lot of dribble going on in between. 

The boys deep dive Round 16 of the NRL. Today brings the Manly Bin-Chickens taking on the Melbourne Storm with their prized fullback returning. FFTO is Spoon Bowl 52 with the Newcastle Knights taking on the Gold Coast Titans, yay. Could there be a worse game? We chat Black Cats in Penrith taking on the Sydney Rooster *cough* Penrith 13+ *cough* and then we begin to fall down the rabbit hole.

This is where you will see the boys get dribbly. First, farts. Then, Victor the Inflictor getting investigated upon for *redacted* movements to another NSW Blues member. Finally, NRL nicknames. The boys start to do a deep dive on NRL.com's listed nicknames. They begin to become increasingly disgusted with the lack of flair and photos for some of the boys. It's transition time and that means basketball is back. Time to hit the "Dribble" side of 5thanddribble. 

On today's show, the lads discuss all things Western conference in the NBA. With a few questions sprinkled in from a few different listeners, the lads take a deep dive on the Over/Under rankings for all Western conference teams. After a few big deals, will the Minnesota Timberwolves be a playoff lock? Who are the top 4 in the West? Is Luka poised for an MVP season? Or is Ja Morant sneaky value?

Draft Kings have provided us with their list of over/unders, with the Phoenix Suns winning the most amount of games at 52. and the San Antonio Spurs winning the least at 22.5. Spoiler alert: we have different opinions on each of these teams. Moves have been made and teams will be bad. Be sure to tune in to hear our takes on how the West will shape up this year!

The lads chopped and changed into a few different clothes today! As always on a Tuesday show, the lads started with a little weekends and a cameo from the Sherpa. Are you Shmarter than a Sherpas was played early in the piece because the lads were required elsewhere! The Cover signal went up into the night sky and the lads jumped onto The Daily Dribble podcast to chat all things NBL and NBA.

Nic, from The Daily Dribble, came firing at the lads with questions left and right and regarding the NBL and the boys returned serve! Kings are going to be the Kings but can they go back to back? What is happening in Cairns? WHAT is happening OVER THE POND?! The only thing better than New Zealand on the court is their social media team!

Switching gears to the NBA, the lads talk on who has been the most disappointing to start the season. Is it the Lakers, Nets or Clippers who have let down the most? Can all those teams turn it around? Would you trade AD or Westbrook first? EVERYTHING and more is answered this week so tune in!

The boys are missing their fearless leader on today's show, but somehow, the world does not implode. After some uncomfortably unfamiliar introductions, and a noticeable lack of Praise Bes, Lach and the Sherpa tackle the Tuesday NBA show head on.
Weekends are checked on before the Sherpa unloads his latest homework findings on Lach. Key takeaways include there being more than one Denver Nuggets along with the correct pronunciation of the word gingham. On todays show... we chat about who was numbed from the NBA 75 list, who we would cut from the 75 list, a few performance jumps a week into the NBA, and who we would like to change our award predictions to!

A bit of this, a bit of that and a lot of dribble.

The lads kick of this week's second episode with a tough of question time and it is all dribble from that! Who are the Top 5 players in the NRL? Who would you keep in an expansion draft? Favourite retro/jersey going around? Where does the line for retro begin and the line of 'aged' end? Lots of questions from the lovely listeners and lots of answers from your less-lovely hosts!

From there, the lads start the break down some of the elimination semi-finals in Week 2 of the NRL Finals. Eels versus Raiders and Sharks versus Bunnies. Do the Parramatta Eels have all the pressure? Better team? Home Ground? Window closing? The Canberra Raiders are playing with house money but they are also the worse team. This WILL be a TIGHT one!

As for the Cronulla Sharks and the South Sydney Rabbitohs; this could be a blood bath. Typically, in the wild, Sharks will devour Bunnies but this game could be very different. When you have 2-3 top 20 players in the league on your squad (Latrell Mitchell, Cameron Murray and Cody Walker) versus maybe having one (in Nicho Hynes), it is hard to see a way out for the Sharks. However, they are in 2nd place, with a 2nd chance, for a reason. Going from 12,500 people to possibly 30,000 could be a huge jump for a lot of the boys. Lets see how it plays out!

In this shorter episode, the boys go over all things NBA playoffs (in the first round that is) and break down how teams are supposed to overcome their pitfalls.

Beginning in the East (07:32) the gents break down all things wrong in Brooklyn, aka Kyrie, and what they have to do to fix that. They push on to talk about the Atlanta Hawks and their logjam of youth forcing higher contracted players out. From there they break into the West (20:11) and discuss the youth in New Orleans that has them bricked up. A few things that have them limp are in Utah with the Jazz seemingly having a superstar issue. Do they stick with Rudy Gobert, the 3x DPOY, or do they run with their young superstar Donovan Mitchell?

On today's show, we welcome a new co-host. Our brother from the Cover Mother, Liam from the "Give 'Em Liam" Podcast and owner ofr the Cover Network! A tragic Raiders fan, Liam joins us to discuss all things top 8 footy and much more.

Starting, a bit differently this week, the lads break down the roadmap to the Raiders making the top 8 and what the vibe is like in Canberra currently. Outside of cold, Liam smells a little optimism in the air. The lads then progress onto the Yeah/Nah report. They cover everything from the price of Ben Hunt to the Melbourne Storm deflecting in the media with their smaller signings.

Then, the fun stuff. The Pre-review comes along after a bit of gab and dribble, and the boys begin to construct their PlayUp multi. Convincing themselves into a Thursday night upset, the lads discuss how the Brisbane Broncos will get up over the Parramatta Eels. Then, the gloves are off, and the lads consider taking the 7.00 odds for the Penrith Panthers to put 51+ on the New Zealand Warriors. The North Queensland Cowboys get a good rap from Matty B (surprise, surprise) but Liam indulges him as he needs the South Sydney Rabbitohs to lose for his Raiders. Finally, the lads get to the sub-par Sunday games and what have we done to deserve these games? 16th v 10th and then 15th v 14th. Long live the Sherpa! The Sherpa returns and tells us all about his galivanting around Melbourne with none other than Manchester United. He then takes a sweet detour out West to the alleged foot of a large hill and has a look around at the facilities there. He may or may not have seen some premiership trophies, it is all alleged as you know!

The lads then roll into how they start all numero uno shows and talk all things Team of the Week. This week, a winger captain who had 3 run away tries, lets trot baby! Then, Friday Footy Tip-Off, where Matty should be up but was hoaxed otherwise, and a Fantasy update #LongLiveTheKing.

The lads start today with the Sherpa tales and then run straight into the Fiasco in Townsville. Ashley Klein robbed another New South Wales team of a victory against a Queensland team and Matty has some very choice words. Ever heard an NRL fan admit they should have lost? You might here. We then head back to the top of the show where we cover all things Round 19. The lads chat about their weekend at various footy games, including Penrith v Sharks and Bulldogs v Titans. This ranges from Nathan being underwhelming (or so the Piss King thinks) and Tino getting sprayed within an inch of hi life. But, we still love you Tino.

Basketball, Rugby League, and now move critics? What can't we do!

In the oval ball show today, the boys go over all things (06:40) Yeah/Nah report, Team of the Week for Round 7 and give a brief fantasy update where Matt is climbing to the top of Everest like his Cowboys.

Starting off with the Yeah/Nah Report and discussing Siosifa Talakai humping the Manly Sea Eagles into a 40-minute submission, the boys discuss the prospects of him playing Origin. Then, they break down the easiest Team of the Week and give updates on the FFTO (Friday Footy Tip Off) scores and how the NRL Fantasy League is going. The fellas also throw up some humble pie for the Newcastle Knights aka Kalyn and the Pongettes and toss out the idea that they are the Jamie Durie's (pave layers, IYKYK) of the NRL landscape regarding the Knights.

Then, (32:13) the boys start to yarn about the reviews covering all things North Queensland Cowboys and Gold Coast Titans. Topic for today: What to do when the Hammer (Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow) comes back? We talk Melbourne Storm, Penrith Panthers and Parramatta Eels humpings of the respected clubs they versed and how delicious it is to see the Viking Clap mocked to the Canberra Raiders!

Then, (1:04:30) the boys break into this weeks reviews where the boys go over a few coin flip games in the St. George Dragons versus the Wests Tigers and the New Zealand Warriors clawing back their souls against the Canberra Raiders. On today's second show of the week, the lads go hard in the paint with a pre-review of the 21st round in the NRL which has massive implications on the way seeding will go!

BUT FIRST! The Yeah/Nah report! The lads break down all things to do with Patrick Carrigan's suspension, changing lineups with all these damn transfers and a Samoan Rugby League side that might challenge for the World Cup! Then the lads begin to break down all things Pre-Review leading into Round 21 of the NRL. The Roosters see the Broncos at home which divides the boys because both teams had a shocking week last week. The Titans are fighting for their lives not to win the spoon but face an almost full strength Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park. The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles look to upset the Parramatta Eels, starring Jakob Arthur, at 4PINES Park, but really the game result is a coin flip! The Rabbitohs look to solidify themselves as Provan-Summons contenders as they look to get back on track and pound the Vodafone Warriors. The North Queensland Cowboys look to make their mark on the red-hot Canterbury Bulldogs, but watch out because Josh Addo-Carr and Matt Burton might have something to say about that!

All this and much much more, as we take a deep dive on the wooden spoon contenders, on this episode of 5th and Dribble!

The full trio is back and one of them is officially crowned the Fantasy Champion! The lads highlights this week include lots of Kirkland chat, sneeze analysis and of course, Matty B salty Lach forgot he gymed with him. NRL this week was also hot! On today's bonus show, the lads wanted to talk a little Rugby League World Cup (RLWC) so lucky you! The NRL is a shit-storm right now with all of the Des Halser** drama and Lach has a few things to say. Would thi shavehappened anyway? How will friend of the show and fellow writer Tobias be with Manly being a dumpster fire?

The lads then take a semi-dive into the RLWC. Samoa versus England will kick of the group stages. Matty B thinks that Samoa could pump England which may be an embarrassment in their home nation. With the NBA still chugging along and a few stories coming out of the woodwork, the lads jump in head first! The news of the day: Steve Nash and the Brooklyn Nets. Steve Nash has been let go and Matty B cannot get over how parallel this is to Jason Kidd at the Milwaukee Bucks. Will Nash come back into the coaching realm? Will the most winningest coach in Brooklyn Nets history be better on another team? Will he just go and be an analyst for the World Cup coming up in Qatar? Who knows. We try though! 

The lads get real vibey on this show and become interrupted in the middle forcing a change of scenery. Does that stop them? You bet it doesn't! Hitting their stride, the lads dive back in to talk all things standings and how cooked the West is shaping up. PG has been a beast. The Warriors are yet to fire. And the Lakers, dumpster-fire.

Then we head around the league. Matty B and Lachy start to break down some of the big stories! Kyrie Irving, a mainstay in the headlines now, has been dropped by Nike. Will he play in the NBA again? Giannis makes sure every knows he is humbled by God, not blessing him with a 3 point shot. And, lastly, a few major injuries to some key title contenders leaves question marks over the Phoenix Suns and Toronto Raptors.

This week the boys run riot and chat all things flaring up in the NBA!

Boston Dave comes on and chats the NBA Finals (12:23) and how sad all the Bean Town Boys are now that the title has headed to Golden State. There was a tissue shortage in the mountains and there is a direct correlation!

Then we start to chat all the big signings (17:11) including all the guys who were eligible to their supermaxes like Bradley Beal, Nikola Jokic and Zach Lavine! Not to mention all the rookies in Zion Williamson, Ja Morant and Darius Garland. Who do we all rate as the best signing? On top of that, all the contracts that went underrated! How is Bobby Portis only just getting the same as PJ Tucker? We break that down too!

The three big trades (45:53) we covered were centred around Minnesota and Utah, Boston and Indiana and Atlanta and San Antonio! Gobert, Brogdon and Murray, they are some big fish. We then close on a little NBA Question Time!

The show we have all been waiting for! On today's show, the lads cover all things NRL Grand Final. If you are ready for some dribble, you have come to the right place.

The lads give their in-depth analysis with the Sherpa's asking a few hard hitting questions of Ashley Klein. There was an accusation of a forward pass, holding in the tackles and much more around kick pressure. At the end of the day, Penrith are the champs. They go back to back in two season and prove that this club is on the verge of dynastic. Matty B is happy to just sit back this show and listen at Lachy and Sherps go at it. On one side, the Penrith Panthers gave a clinical performance to the Parramatta Eels. On another side, did Parramatta even show up? Lachy puts to bed all of the rhetoric around the boys being "jovial" and "poor winners" with the simple argument: "Then just beat them".

The lads touch on the NRLW Grand Final as well where Tamika Upton, Millie Boyle and Jesse Southwell took the Newcastle Knights to glory. Everyone showed out for the Knights and it ended up being a blow out. The lads then pivot to the NBL and cover a few things from the first week.

Plenty of dribble, plenty of tears but above all ... Up the Riff.

Covering everything from inspiration behind the page to favourite card style, the lads go behind the scenes with the creator of everyone's favourite rugby league inspired page. Gaming and Sports, what is better?! Moving onto real world stuff and breaking down the allure of Magic Round. Then, the lads head into thoughts around the most recent player swaps. Everyone is doing a deep dive! A little NBA talk sprinkled in and ya boys are happy chaps.

Today's show is a jam-packed one so strap in! As always, with the Tuesday show, the lads start with how their weekends went and the answer is a resounding: wet. The lads introduce and dive into a new segment "Are you Shmarter than a Sherpa?". This is where you, the listener, will go up against out very own Sherpa to weekly test his knowledge! This week we have the little Sherpa defending the title of the audience and it was a good one!

The lads discuss all things Eastern conference beginning with the South-East division. Thanks to Draft Kings, the best team to come out of the South-East is the Miami Heat. Or is it? With the Atlanta Hawks making some big moves, could they be in for a bigger season? How many in this division will tank for Victor "The Alien" Wenbanyama? How bad will the Charlotte Hornets be without Miles *redacted* Bridges? Only time will tell. Then, special guest Boston Dave joins the show to run through the Central and his beloved Atlantic division. The lads go back and forth on their Over/Unders and split on quiet a few decisions. Who will take out the East, Boston of Philly? Are the Milwaukee Bucks concerned about the regular season at all?

All of these questions answered and much much more on a great, long episode. Welcome back, NBA!

From Origin to Samoa, the Penrith Panthers are covered on all basis this weekend ... except Dylan Edwards. The boys take a deep dive into the Origin changes for both New South Wales and Queensland and toss out some other names as to who we would've liked to see. Needless to say, in Freddy we trust!

 In todays show, the guys cover all things oval ball and take a few pave laying detours along the way!

As all great shows begin, we start at the beginning (08:53) with the Yeah/Nah Report. We cover a few transfer window rumours, the Kodi Nikorima to South Sydney Rabbitohs report and burn Jake Clifford for his "pressures" returning to red hot Townsville. From there, and after a small glitch in the matrix, (30:37) the boys review Round 8. We touch on things like Karl Lawton's tackle on Cameron Murray in Sea Eagles vs Rabbitohs. We break down the masterclass Adam Reynolds Broncos put on Nicholas Hynes' Sharks. Then, Lach gives Matt a 5-minute time to cream all things North Queensland Cowboys but Matt has mercy and only uses about 4 minutes to talk about the destruction of 17 Parramatta Eels.

Lastly, (56:43) the boys break down how they see Round 9 going. A few coin flip games, like the Bulldogs versus the Raiders (aka Faiders). None the less, it is going to be a cracking round of footy! Miami sets a franchise postseason high of 19 steals and Boston still almost gets the win.. how does that even happen?

Holy solo's! Lachy has a go at BBQ'ing along to Pre-review Round 25. Is it Panthers heavy? Maybe. Is it breakdown heavy? This one was a biggie! The boys start of early, without saying grace to the people they love, breaking down (02:05) Kalyn Ponga's huge deal at the Newcastle Knights. They talk what this means for him, the club and Newcastle in general. From there, (04:15) the boys tickle into the Yeah/Nah report discussing Luke Brooks at Five-Eighth and the importance of Jackson Hastings, the return of Te Maire Martin for the Brisbane Broncos and who would you pay a million for?

Capping off this long discussion (34:53) the boys Team of the Week is announced as well as (37:55) the results from Friday Footy Tip off (#FFTO) and a brief Fantasy update! Footy Reviews (40:43) kick off with the North Queensland Cowboys comeback win over the Canberra Raiders in stunning fashion. We then break down the other game we were in attendance at , The Penrith Panthers versus the Brisbane Broncos on Good Friday. We give our thoughts on Sydney Roosters versus New Zealand Warriors, aka the appalling reffing, and push on to the Spool Bowl aka Wests Tigers versus Parramatta Eels (happy, happy days!).

Get ready for a whole lot of dribble! Today, we cover the surprises of week 2, discuss whether teams are real or not, break down our favourite and least favourite city jerseys AAAAAND we discuss who is struggling and surprising us this year. Lots of shit chat along the way, ofcourse.

On today's show, the lads talk all things NRL. But... a little basketball first. Shout out to the Australian Opals opening up their FIBA World Cup campaign in Australian tonight. These French players don't know what's coming!

On to the NRL and the lads bring back the Yeah/Nah report. From all things David Fifita's money to the Penrith Panthers potentially being fleeced of a lot of talent, all is covered. Is the pressure on the North Queensland Cowboys after having the week off? Is David Nofoaluma out of a job now Sua'ali'i pledges to Toa Samoa? Huge ripple effects throughout the entire Rugby League World Cup there!

The boys venture down Prelim Lane and talk all things NQL Cowboys and Parramatta Eels. The Eels window is closing, and has been all year, but do they have one more win in them to make it to the big dance for the first time since 2009? Or will the same day travel screw them and give the Cowboys the advantage? What a joke same day travel is. Either way, we are going to have a salty Matty or salty Sherpa!
Then, Penrith Panthers and South Sydney Rabbitohs. The Forbes Ferrari (Charlie Staines) comes in for the suspended Taylan May which may force Brian To'o over to the other side of the field. The versatile can do it all, so don't be shocked if he is moved. On top of that, Alex Johnston has an asterisk next to his name after the injury suffered in the last game against Cronulla. If he is out, how much strike does Josh Mansour/Richard Kennar actually give? Only time will tell how deadly that left edge is but make sure you close down Latrell Mitchell. He is on another planet with his form right now and even though it isn't "Trellianz Stadium" he will be humming at home.

On a bit of a shorter episode today, we are going to do a little bit of landscaping. The lads take a bit of a surface area look as to what is going on in the NBA and NBL.

As it is pre-season, there is not a whole lot going on. Yes, Draymond is punching people. Yes, games are happening. But, when the most exciting thing to talk about is Andre Drummond shooting 75% from 3 in pre-season, it is kind of a boring pre-season. The lads take a little dive into the NBA checking in on Lamelo's ankle, the injured stars that are coming back and wonder who might have a breakout year. Is this the best team Kristaps Prozingis has been surrounded by? Will James Wiseman come out and be another Evan Mobley? Only time will tell.

Once every bit of the NBA is drained, the lads bring it home. The NBL has kicked off and the Kings are red hot. You would not be bale to tell that by the lads NBL Fantasy scores, but they are out here trying. Sydney will be taking on the Cairns Taipans this week and it is less of a walk in the park than you think. Cairns is currently sitting 3rd behind Keanu Pinder and Tajere McCall. Will their run and gun pace set off the Kings perfect start to the season? Tune in Friday night to see!

Shhh, Keep your eyes peeled for a weekend Rugby League show as well.

On todays show the boys have a lot to cover and not a lot of time to do it in. Strap in or strap on ... she going to be a ride.

As always, the lads start with a prayer, weekends and all the good stuff. Lach is adjusting to teacher life and the Sherps is maintaining the day to day. All the while, Matty B had a big one on the town over the weekend. Sleep deprivation is a dog.

The lads then break into all things Team of the Week with a few new faces. Jackson Hastings is the smallest lock in TOTW history, Braidon Burns cracks his first one and a couple common faces like Valentine Holmes and Joe Tapine sure up their spots in the Team of the Year. From there Friday Footy Tip Off is both the same and Fantasy both lads had a win. Don't look now but Matty has just snuck into the finals.

From there, the lads talk all things review. Starting with the break down the mishap of the Manly 7 and an underwhelming Sydney Roosters. Secondly, they talk about how Nelson Asofa-Solamona and Josh King should be side-lined for extended time. Thirdly, breaking down all things Parramatta Eels and Penrith Panthers, including Nathan Cleary's send off and the near future for both clubs halves packages. Grossly, the Titans and Raiders were underwhelming as always but the Wests Tigers getting up over the Brisbane Broncos put some lead in our pencils. How do we rate the Jordan Riki try celebration even when your down to the wooden spooners? Lastly, the discuss the Bulldogs toying with the Pongettes over a King Kiraz hat-trick and the Cowboys romped the Dragons, but we expected that.
