16 Nov 2022 | Tauna Meyer | Daily Do’s and Loopty Loos | Episode 015 | 00:41:06 | |
Tauna Meyer is with me today and you are going to love her and be encouraged in your homeschooling journey as you listen. Tauna homeschools six amazing, messy, loud, beautiful children (her words not mine). We can all relate to that! She has been encouraging moms for years through her Proverbial Homemaker ministry. And as a side note, before motherhood, she was a software systems analyst. Besides homeschooling, Tauna and I have two interesting things in common: Chocolate is a primary food group, and we both entered adulthood with zero homemaking and cooking skills.
Tauna Meyer is a self-proclaimed Type B homeschool mom. God has created each of us uniquely, and Tauna is proof positive that being super structured doesn’t work for everyone. In this episode, Tauna gives an overview of the very practical approach of loop scheduling. You’ll be refreshed knowing God cares about the details and will help you build a homeschool routine that works well naturally for your family and is far more sustainable and enjoyable, too! Ginny Yurich | Revolutionize Your Homeschool with 1000 Hours Outside | Episode 001
Welcome to the Zan Tyler Podcast. I’m your host, Zan Tyler, and I'm so glad you’re here for this very first episode!
I am doing this podcast because I loved the 21 years I spent homeschooling my own kids—and because homeschooling works. It works academically—the test scores demonstrate it. College admissions counselors, military recruiters, and employers are actively pursuing homeschool graduates.
But even more importantly, I believe that the process of homeschooling strengthens our families—as we learn together, serve others together, worship together, and just have fun together.
Whether it has been starting state or local organizations to provide support for moms and dads, lobbying for good laws, working with publishers to develop robust resources that support our faith, or speaking around the country on homeschooling. My heart’s desire is to encourage, inspire, and equip you for what can be the most rewarding adventure of your life—and the most challenging!
It is such a privilege to welcome Ginny Yurich as my first podcast guest! Ginny is a speaker, podcaster, and author of 1000 Hours Outside. This episode has the power to revolutionize your homeschool. Have you been looking for ways to cut down on screen time and add joy to your day? This episode is chock full of helpful suggestions. You’ll learn how being outside can be life-changing for your child academically, socially, and spiritually.
As you start a new school year, Ginny gives you hope that your homeschool can be filled with a sense of adventure and wonder.

Kids have to feel known. They have to feel visible and acknowledged in our space for who they are. It's so significant.
