26 Mar 2024Reversing the path of Self Destruction: Taryn Schwarz00:34:18

A debilitating eating disorder plagued Taryn Schwarz' life. Developing anorexia and bulimia as a teenager - doctors told her there was damage to her GI Tract & there wasn't any solution. This was her wake up call, as Taryn refused to accept a life of suffering. Her intuition told her there was hope. Hope to heal from her behaviors rooted in past emotional traumas.

Searching alternative ways to heal holistically, Taryn tried various methods over 20 years. Diets, therapy, herbs, and consultations with medical practitioners - determined to overcome her challenges. While these approaches offered temporary relief, they failed to provide a lasting solution, as she often found herself slipping back into old frames of reference and old habits.

An inner conviction steered her to a turning point. Discovering Zhineng Qigong, the practice that would prove to be transformative. Zhineng Qigong offered Taryn a holistic approach to healing, emphasizing the mind-body connection. Through Qigong and the Qi Field she began to experience profound shifts in consciousness and emotional well-being. As her inner peace grew, she noticed positive changes in her physical health, although the journey towards complete recovery is ongoing.

Wanting a deeper understanding of Qigong, Taryn was called to one of the many programs. Teacher Wei Qifeng's "Mingjue" guide was a tremendous help. Being a counsellor herself, Taryn took some of these practices to her patients as well. Mingjue is cultivated through present moment awareness and self-reflection.

Through Zhineng Qigong and by embracing her self worth, self love and prioritising herself every day she started creating a sense of inner peace and unity. Qigong aided the healing of past traumas that brought about separation from self, accompanied by suffering.

Tune in to hear her story.

26 Mar 2024Qigong - The Unifier: Alfred Lerma00:44:35

Unity is the cornerstone of Alfred's philosophy and life's work. Unification begins within oneself, as he discovered on his journey to becoming a "unifier." Self-awareness became the key to unlocking his potential and aligning his thoughts, emotions, and actions. Gratitude emerged as a powerful practice, transforming his outlook and relationships.

Life intention, Alfred learned, is crucial to finding one's purpose and path towards joy. Bringing people together became his mission, but he first had to unite the fragmented parts of himself. Inner alignment proved to be the foundation for creating harmony in the external world. Thought patterns, once recognized, could be reshaped to support growth and positive change.

Emotional acceptance opened doors to self-compassion and deeper understanding. Self-compassion allowed Alfred to embrace his imperfections and continue evolving. Connection with nature reinforced the idea that we are all part of a greater whole. Qigong mindset provided a framework for integrating these concepts into daily life.

Present moment living became the ultimate goal, allowing for full engagement with life's experiences. Holistic wellbeing emerged as the natural result of this unified approach. Consciousness, when cultivated, illuminates the path to personal and collective transformation. Transformation, Alfred discovered, is an ongoing process of unification, awareness, and growth.

Mindfulness Moments

  • Unity in Qigong: Alfred Lerma expressing his life intention to unify people and nature, highlighting the importance of self-unity before achieving external unity.
  • Self-Awareness: A key concept discussed is self-awareness, which allows individuals to recognize and alter old thought patterns that may hinder their journey toward unity. This awareness is crucial for personal growth
  • Role of Thoughts: Alfred stresses the significance of recognizing thoughts without assigning them meaning. This approach helps individuals avoid reacting negatively to their thoughts, fostering a healthier mindset
  • Life Intention and Purpose: Having a clear life intention provides direction and purpose. Alfred's goal of bringing people together is rooted in his desire for unity, which he believes is essential for societal progress.
  • Connection with Nature: Alfred believes that connecting with nature enhances our understanding of unity and ourselves, viewing nature as an extension of self that contributes to the unification process.
  • Integration of Practices: He integrates Qigong practices into his daily life, combining Western and Eastern philosophies to deepen his understanding of self and enhance his ability to unify with others.

26 Mar 2024Qigong and Aging: Sahaja Yuantong00:36:45

Aging and Qigong are deeply intertwined in Sahaja Yuantong's experience and teaching. As a Zhineng Qigong teacher herself, modification of practice becomes essential as many face physical challenges that come with growing older. Sahaja had her share of physical challenges such as sacroiliac joint pain and even breast cancer. With new information, it shaped her understanding of how to adapt Qigong practices to individual needs.

True self and consciousness form the core of Sahaja's approach to Qigong, emphasizing the importance of connecting with one's inner essence. The Qi field, she believes, offers a potent space for healing and transformation. Intuition and common sense play crucial roles in navigating the practice, especially when dealing with physical limitations. Adaptation of practice is key to maintaining a consistent Qigong routine despite bodily changes.

Teacher Liu and Teacher Ling have influenced Sahaja's understanding of Qigong and consciousness. Huaxia Centre, where many teachers trained in their youth, represents an ideal of practice that older practitioners must adapt to their current realities. The three centers merge meditation is one of the practices Sahaja has had to modify due to physical limitations, illustrating the need for flexibility in long-term Qigong practice.

Passion for living has been Sahaja's driving force, helping her overcome numerous health challenges. Emotional processing is an integral part of her healing approach, acknowledging and working through difficult feelings rather than suppressing them. Mortality is addressed openly in her teaching, viewing it as an opportunity for spiritual growth.

24 Apr 2024Forever young with Qigong: Hilda Braun00:34:37

Zhineng Qigong became a transformative practice for Hilda Braun, who discovered it later in life. Hilda always had the intention of living a long and active life. Assisted living was not an option for her although many tried to persuade her that it was. She sought for ways to maintain her independence and health instead. Alternative medicine became her focus after facing significant health challenges, including breast cancer and lung complications.

A coincidence led her to Hawaii. Here she’d meet her Qigong family. Master Liu among the teachers. She’d participate in Qigong sessions, sharing and building the Qi field - she didn’t think much of it. Doing the La Qi method she noticed shoulder pain. Master Liu placed his hand on her shoulder and it was gone completely. The Qi field being shared in a group was so strong that Hilda believes it could’ve only been Qi.

Chen Qi and La Qi methods became integral to her self-healing practice, particularly after a car accident. Already dealing with the effectives of a double mastectomy and lung conditions - her chest already fragile. It was the consistent practice of Chen Qi and La Qi that assisted in healing her chest.

Zhineng Qigong and mindset transformation was key to Hilda's recovery and continued vitality. Determination helped her overcome multiple health setbacks and life changes. Healthy lifestyle choices became her priority. Positive thinking and resilience allowed her to see purpose in her challenges and losses. Self-healing became Hilda's primary approach to wellness, often choosing natural methods over conventional treatments.

Community played a significant role in her Qigong practice, providing support and motivation. Mind-body connection was a fundamental principle Hilda embraced, understanding the power of intention and thought in physical healing. Life purpose emerged from her experiences, inspiring her to share her journey with others.

Mindful Moments

  • Zhineng Qigong is perfect at any age. There’s no limitations. Even though Hilda was introduced later it was still beneficial.
  • Alternative medicine became Hilda’s focus after facing breast cancer and lung complications.
  • Qigong group session: Sharing the Qi field is a powerful experience for physical and emotional healing.
  • Chen Qi method: This method helps clear blockages, improve Qi flow, and enhance hand sensitivity. By focusing on hand meridians and acupressure points, it can improve lung and heart function and strengthen overall health.
  • La Qi method: This teaches a simple Qi (vital life force) gathering and distribution technique. By directing Qi to specific areas, you can promote healing and balance. This practice fosters a connection with nature and yourself, leading to overall well-being.
  • Life intention and determination was a driving factor to share story with others
  • Mind-Body Connection: Hilda embraced the principle of the mind-body connection, recognizing the power of intention and thought in facilitating physical healing.

In the small country of Slovenia, one man changed everything with Zhineng Qigong...

In Zhineng Qigong, nature forms part of a holistic system alongside humans and the

theories like adjusting the mind, the qi field, and exchanging Qi with nature. He simply
shared his knowledge, and somehow it transformed into a movement that impacted the

29 May 2024Music, the Ego & the Qi field in Qigong - Farinaz Kheradpicheh00:39:17

"Empty but not empty" (Kong kong dang dang, huang huang hu hu) is a phrase in Zhineng Qigong that describes the concept of something existing even in nothingness. In this episode Farinaz Kheradpicheh explores how she connects with a transparent existence through her art, the essence within the void, and the Qi within the Qi field.

As a young woman in a foreign land, Farinaz felt the separation caused by language barriers. Where language was limiting, she found connection in music, playing the violin in an orchestra, because there was “feeling”. And in that space of feeling, with her understanding of Zhineng Qigong, she connected with something even greater— she connected with emptiness itself.

Farinaz shares how playing in an orchestra parallels her practice of Zhineng Qigong. In both, becoming one with the whole often means letting go of the ego. She offers valuable insights on grounding, embodying kindness, and accessing the "empty yet not empty" state during performances and Qigong practice. Learn how to embrace the present moment without attachment to past experiences and discover ways to integrate music into your Qigong journey for a deeper, more joyful practice.

Discover the profound connection between music, the ego, and Qigong with renowned violinist Farinaz Kheradpicheh.

Mindful Moments
- Discussing the Eight Verses of Zhineng Qigong, verse 1 “Head touches the sky, feet stand on earth”.

- Music and orchestras as metaphors for aligning intention, letting go of the ego, and becoming one with the whole, similar to Qigong practice. The importance of grounding to be truly present.

- How language is a separator but feeling unifies. Qigong’s emphasis on seeing the bigger picture, being a part of something greater and being part of the present moment.

- Empty but not empty, how Farinaz uses this to understand the ego's role in grounding and connection. The power of the group Qi field and intention in performance and reaching a unified goal.

- New Present Moment theory: Embracing an open mind each day rather than being attached to previous experiences and past negative information. Focusing on what resonates in the moment.

- Learning from Zhineng Qigong to be kind to the inner self and understand the body’s messages. Nurturing the inner child for greater openness, joy, and presence.

- Boundaries: differentiating between awareness and focus, picking up information from the Qi field without boundaries, practicing connection without being stuck in one way.

- Transitioning from natural intention to conscious intentions practicing kindness to oneself.

- Discussing various ways to access Zhineng Qigong through theory and practice.

Mindful Moments:

  • Cultural differences in Zhineng Qigong. Westerners can't teach Qigong effectively in the traditional Chinese manner and must adapt it to resonate with Western audiences.
  • The hierarchical structures in Qigong, advocating for a more level playing field where everyone can share and lead.
  • Authenticity in teaching Zhineng Qigong, newer participants can lead a Qigong session beautifully without prior teaching experience, highlighting the power of authenticity and natural leadership.
  • Breaking tradition for inclusion: Dr. Pang, the founder of Zhineng Qigong, is noted for breaking with tradition by making Qigong accessible to everyone, eliminating barriers and promoting equality for a diversity of followers.
  • Simplicity is key: Clarity is crucial in teaching Qigong, especially when teaching online or to beginners. Making the practice accessible and simple is key.
  • The intention in practice: The effectiveness of Qigong lies in the intention behind the movements rather than just the accuracy of the form.
  • Adapting and applying: Adapting Qigong teachings to suit audiences while maintaining the core principles. This approach helps keep the practice relevant and effective in different cultural contexts.

19 Jun 2024Finding Joy with Qigong - Eugenio Giusti00:35:42

"The Qi goes, where the mind goes”

In this delightful episode, Eugenio Giusti shares his transformative journey from a life driven by perfectionism and anxiety to one filled with flow, trust, and fun, thanks to the practice of Zhineng Qigong. Eugenio, an Italian living in New York, spent 30 years as a college teacher before retiring and dedicating himself to Qigong.

Through his exploration of various practices, including yoga and Qigong, Eugenio discovered the power of flow and acceptance. He emphasizes the significance of setting intentions and then letting go.

Eugenio's journey led him to Zhineng Qigong, which he describes as the ultimate practice for cultivating unity and flow. He shares how the teachings of Zhineng Qigong, such as the concept of "Bambini Heart" (childlike heart) and the importance of having fun, deeply resonated with his own personal revelations.

Throughout the episode, Eugenio offers insights into the power of Zhineng Qigong to transform our relationship with pain, fear, and control. He discusses how staying present and relaxed in the face of discomfort allows for the natural healing process to occur, often in surprising ways.

26 Jun 2024Surprising Impacts of Intensive Qigong Practice - Citlalli Alvarez00:37:43

When Citlalli Alvarez committed to practicing Qigong for 8 hours each day, it took less than a month to transform her life completely. Citlalli endured three significant losses in her life, each one was met with immense pain, curiosity and determination. As one can imagine, the mental, physical, and emotional pain took a toll on her, but what shone through was her indefinite need for something greater. She needed to understand in a better way. Searching for an alternative medicine, she found Zhineng Qigong Science. She first heard about the Huaxia Zhineng Qigong training centre (the medicine-less hospital), which, without medicine, achieved a success rate of 95%. As a biological researcher, she aimed to understand how one could achieve healing with just qigong. Following the Huaxia center routine, she spent 8 hours each day for 24 days practicing, and with each practice, she evolved.

In practice and with her lifelong lesson that "you have done the hardest part, and you just have to finish it”, she released all her qualms, letting go of the loss that brought her pain. In return, she found trust, which she transcended each time into joy, peace, and health. Becoming her own experiment, her studies showed her that with the La Qi, she could feel Qi (life force energy) easily; with the Lift Qi Up Method, her pain resolved and inanimate things responded to the motion of in and out, and with the wall squat method, her eyes crusted, eventually resolving a long-term eye affliction. With her evidence, she finally understood that there was a better way. Tune in for her full story.

Mindful Moments:

  • Citlalli’s personal story, the loss of her loved ones, it’s impact on her health and the physical pain that comes with sadness. How this marks the beginning of her journey towards alternative medicine.
  • Her life before Qigong, her passion of cycling and two major lessons she learned from it.
  • Her discovery of the Huaxia Zhineng Qigong Training Center, and why she decided to practice Zhineng Qigong for 8 hours a day for 24 days straight.
  • How connecting with the Qi field allowed for progress and change without movement, how it differed from the Huaxia Center.
  • The physical changes she experienced when practicing the Lift Qi Up method.
  • How prolonged practice affects your Qi Field. She shares the more you practice the bigger and stronger your qi field becomes.
  • Feeling pain during practice as a Qi Reaction and then learning to to release all sadness in return for happiness.
  • Using Qigong to naturally increase awareness on a conscious level, being aware of actions and thoughts.
  • Zhineng Qigong as a complete practice, unifying the mind, body and emotions. How this allows one to achieve their goals better.
  • Evolving Zhineng Qigong Science, how Citlalli's experience inspired her to become a Zhineng Qigong teacher and researcher.

03 Jul 2024Navigating Neurodiversity with Qigong: Calming minds with Regina Dell Oro00:39:26

When autism or neurodiversity becomes disabling, Qigong can offer a path to healing. Regina Dell Oro was told it was impossible to find healing for her son who has autism. Using Qigong, she did three things to create calm within the space of neurodiversity.

Autism naturally comes with diverse ways of thinking, experiencing, and interacting with the world. When those differences are neglected more than they are nurtured, symptoms can escalate, challenges become more immense, and one can become debilitated. With the aim of balancing qi, from being too condensed in the brain, to being regulated in the entire body. Regina, first as a mother and skilled Zhineng Qigong practitioner, set out to find healing for her son and the other young adults who sought the calm.

First, she shifted fundamental thoughts and behaviours of happiness using Dr Pang Ming's "Happy Quarter" technique, thinking "before you practice Zhineng Qigong, you practice happiness". Second, she introduced chanting as a way of communicating. Teaching "Hao La" and "Hunyuan Lingtong" she gave her students a tool to deescalate their fears and anxieties. These magic words related that everything was okay, and more so it gave her students, who often struggled with communication, the ability to recognize when things start to feel out of control. Even with Kai He, the La Qi method, her students could integrate practice into their daily lives, by recognizing and feeling with speech. Third, she carefully introduced movement. As to not initiate seizures, she considerately taught them how to move their neck and spine. With Zhineng Qigong Methods like, Crane’s Neck, Wall Squats they were moving Qi from the brain to the rest of the body.

For Regina it was "always a dance of what can be done, what cannot be done, and where we need to push a little bit". Through it all, she used her skills and understanding to adapt the practice of Qigong and make it more relatable to people with neurodiversity. By breaking down the movements, renaming and reframing, she achieved the impossible. Tune in to hear her story.

Mindful Moments:

  • Zhineng Qigong in search of healing for autism and neurodiversity after many failed methods
  • Finding calm, and peace with Qigong and initiating a teaching practice for her own son and other young adults who had special needs
  • The importance of stopping misery in special needs environments and the use of Dr Pang Ming’s “happy quarter”
  • The nature of autism and people with neurodiversity, the importance of self-regulation, regulating emotions and adapting to situations and environments
  • Chanting and sounds as tools for students to identify emotions and to self-regulate
  • The impacts of qigong practice on confidence, coping with life, regulation and preventing escalation of neurodiversity and autism

10 Jul 2024Qigong's First Consciousness Lab - Mariana de la Vega00:47:06

Meditation practitioner and university lecturer, Mariana de la Vega, was always in search of answers about human existence. Taoist principles, ancient texts and passages were among the materials she studied. Buddhist influences such as “The Heart Sutra'' was another passage she studied but was never truly satisfied with the answers she found. She could not experience what these books about consciousness taught, until she was introduced to the Zhineng Qigong practice.

Emotional healing is a central theme to Mariana’s “Consciousness Lab”, a group of like-minded individuals who discuss these insights among each other. The mind tends to separate or compartmentalize thoughts and emotions, which was evident in the books she studied. When the mind-body separation occurs, it can result in suffering. In Qigong, it’s “Shen” that moves “Qi”. To perceive your thoughts without reaction is to bring Qi back to yourself, back to the present moment and allow for unity or “oneness” to ensue.

Zhineng Qigong practitioners, instructors and followers will gain invaluable information on deepening their practice and understanding of foundational consciousness concepts. Learn how emotional balance through Qigong can transform your life and explore the benefits of Zhineng Qigong for holistic wellness.

Tune in for this insightful episode!

Mindful Moments:

  • How the concept of oneness relates to mind-body separation and suffering
  • Chinese philosophy: Understanding Shen (the conscious mind) and Qi (vital life force) in relation to consciousness
  • Buddhism teachings from the Heart Sutra
  • Tao Te Ching principles: The way of nature and impacts on human existence

17 Jul 2024Qigong Saved My Eyesight - Richard Clegg's Vision Journey.00:51:10

Defying the odds, was almost a birthright for Richard Clegg. Eastern practices always intrigued him, even at an early age. So the Zhineng Qigong practice was no stranger to Richard.

On Mount Hua, east of Xi’an China - he found himself taking an abundance of photographs of his right eye only, as this was the eye that everything occurred in. A retinologist ran tests and the results were that of a detached retina. Due to a tumor in the back of his eye. It could be lethal, if not dealt properly, they said. Enucleation, a primary treatment method.

Richard’s response was, “I will survive, I will thrive, and I will see again”. Intentions were made clear. He declined enucleation as an option. Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, was the next stop as the retina specialist referred him to another doctor but before that, Richard took a detour. After an acupuncture treatment, Andrew Huey, revealed if it wasn’t for his mindful practices over the years, things could have been worse. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the eye is the orifice to the liver. The liver holds and stores emotions such as anger, rage or feeling stuck.

In Hunyuan Qi Therapy, Richard recalled these “Heart Stones” - understanding how life altering events leave emotional imprints and working through these blockages achieves emotional freedom.

Columbia Presbyterian Hospital was the order of the day, following his acupuncture session. A western medical professional presented another treatment. Radiation seed therapy. This medical procedure treats cancer with precision.

Through Zhineng Qigong practice, radiation seed treatment, intention & detaching from his diagnosis, professionals at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital were surprised to find that Richard was already 4 years ahead of his healing process.

Simply put, when many opposed, Richard Clegg Said 'Watch Me!'. Tune in to hear his story.

Mindful Moments:

  • Intention in Zhineng Qigong & healing: How Richard Clegg's journey with eye cancer showcased these practices.
  • The Qi Field as a powerful tool for healing and personal transformation
  • Love at the core of Zhineng Qigong
  • Eyesight prognosis: tumor reduction & healing progressed far beyond medical expectations.
  • Columbia Presbyterian Hospital: Richard’s celebrity status.
  • Declining enucleation (removal of entire eye), in favour of alternative treatments.
  • Current vision challenges and how Richard is addressing them with Qigong
  • La Qi uses, a fundamental Zhineng Qigong practice, to help others dealing with grief and trauma
  • How Zhineng Qigong and Huanyuan Qi Therapy help transform old reference frameworks

24 Jul 2024Qi reactions: Healing with Qigong Practice with Lot Wijlhuizen00:34:27

Zhineng Qigong teacher, Lot Wijlhuizen, intensified her Qigong practice and was met with a profound experience. Qi reactions, occurred after her daily practice. Qi reactions in Zhineng Qigong are often misunderstood, but they are actually a positive sign of progress in one's health journey. The Qi field responds to clear intentions & improves Qi flow throughout the body working to remove blockages.

Managing Qigong side effects, became a crucial part of her healing journey. Symptoms like nausea and headaches, along with an emotional release presented itself. Old frames of reference were addressed and deep-rooted emotional blockages, were let go of during this time. Qi blockages were finally removed.

Qigong reactions requires a strong mindset and acceptance. As Dr. Pang Ming, emphasised the importance of consistent training and staying the course. Surrendering to Qi leads to greater freedom and this Lot knew. Qigong for emotional healing is particularly powerful, as demonstrated by the Ling Ling exercise, which focuses on the emotional level.

True self-awareness in Qigong is a key concept. Helping students detach from thoughts, diseases, or old habits to anchor on pastures new. Lot suggests three anchors: being your own cheerleader, main character and embodying the "frog" metaphor. One of Dr Pang's many parables...

Experience her journey through her own words.

Mindful Moments:

  • Qi Reactions as a Positive Sign: Often misunderstood but indicate progress in one's health journey by responding to removing blockages, and improving Qi (vital life force) flow
  • Qigong & Consistent Practice: Consistent training, as emphasised by Dr. Pang Ming, is crucial. Intensifying daily practice can lead to significant progress and noticeable Qi reactions
  • Lot's Personal Experience: Lot intensified her Qigong practice, intense Qi reactions like diarrhoea, nausea, headaches, and emotional release occured
  • Core of Qigong Practice: To cultivate happiness and joy, using the practice to navigate and transform challenging Qi reactions into opportunities for growth and healing
  • Maintaining Qigong's positive mindset: Anchors such as being one's own cheerleader, visualising an inspiring movie character, and embodying the "frog" (as mentioned by Dr. Pang's teachings) are key to remaining positive
  • Benefits of Qigong: The benefits of Qigong practice extend beyond physical health to include emotional well-being, personal transformation, self-awareness, and overall happiness and joy
  • Qi Reactions: Everything can be considered a Qi reaction, making it essential to recognise and understand these reactions as part of the healing process.

31 Jul 2024The Spiritual Depth of Qigong - Debra Weisenburger Lipetz00:52:10

Qigong’s transformative power is no secret, however for Debra Weisenburger Lipetz that’s always been the tip of the iceberg. A Zhineng Qigong teacher herself, Debra shares her journey focusing solely on techniques to discover a deeper, more spiritual dimension of Qigong. Formlessness the goal - for this should be the natural state of being.

In Qigong practice she discusses the three essential conditions: Trust, willed focus & action. Personal growth and transformation are the result when these elements are in accord. In Zhineng Qigong, the aim is balance between mind, body, and spirit.

Trust in your wisdom and intuition grows with consistent Qigong practice. Intention to practice arises as individuals experience the transformative effects of Qigong. Action is essential for progress, as it bridges the gap between intention and realisation.  “Dr. Pang has given us all these tools, and we can pick and choose what works for us. And keep changing and evolving, and that's how we progress.”, Debra explains. Being one of the few westerners who’s had the privilege of meeting the founder of Zhineng Qigong, Dr Pang Ming.

Ego in Qigong is never the answer, as it hinders you from discovering your true self. The western adage of, “comparison is the thief of joy” rings true in the practice of Qigong. Debra emphasises we are all on our own path and at our own pace to self discovery.

Through Qigong, an awareness shift is a common experience as students and teachers deepen their connection to themselves and the world around them. Spiritual growth is a natural consequence of consistent Qigong practice, as individuals discover their true self and purpose, as Debra notes during this episode.

Ready to find formlessness? Debra shows the way…

Mindful Moments:

  • Qigong & Formlessness: To be formless is to be our natural state.  Where limitations are free from the mind
  • Inner connection in Zhineng Qigong Practice: Debra discusses the importance of connecting at a deeper level.
  • How Qigong can be seen as a spiritual link to finding one's true self
  • Qigong and the Mind-body connection: Debra explains how Qigong practice can help shrink the separation between body and mind
  • Qigong techniques: Debra mentions many Qigong techniques, including "lift qi up, pour qi down" and wall squats. This is the action pillar that has to be taken
  • How Zhineng Qigong practice can lead to natural lifestyle changes and why this is significant for overall well-being
  • Qigong and ego: the potential hinderance of progress due to comparison
  • Self-awareness: Debra shares her personal journey of developing self-awareness through Qigong practice and how it changed her perspective on life

Elizabeth Estrada’s life intention was always to help those entrusted to her. Healing those around her & to bring about transformation and change was something of a mission. The pharmaceutical industry was her chosen profession. Though she was grateful to touch so many lives through her profession, it wasn’t enough. Until Zhineng Qigong, alternative medicine was her calling.

Through her Qigong practice benefits became apparent as Elizabeth experienced increased joy and enthusiasm. The power of Qi within herself started to grow. Strained back ligaments & even myopia were resolved when doctors told her it would deteriorate. Holistic healing through Qigong practice helped Elizabeth overcome these challenges, though she was met by another...

21 Aug 2024The History of Qigong: Past, Present, Future - John Millar00:56:15

In this episode John Millar dissects an expansive Qigong History, tracing its roots back thousands of years to ancient Chinese health traditions. He explores how Qigong has significantly evolved over time, offering insights into its societal impact in historic China, its effects, and its far-reaching influences. John also engages in a thoughtful discussion on Dr. Pang Ming's pivotal role, both historically and in the contemporary practice of Qigong, particularly its transition into medical Qigong.

Zhineng Qigong practice is a rich blend of ancient wisdom and modern adaptation, reflecting the complex cultural and historical landscape of China. The emergence of Zhineng Qigong in the mid-20th century marked a significant shift towards a more accessible and scientifically grounded approach to health. This evolution was influenced by the Chinese government's desire for a public healthcare system, leading to a focus on the physical benefits of Qigong while distancing it from more spiritual elements associated with practices like Falun Gong.

John emphasizes Qigong's deep roots in Daoism, while also highlighting the influence from other practices like Buddhism, Daoyin exercises, and animal mimicry. He also reflects on how the "Monkey King: Journey to the West" folktale symbolizes the interplay between Chinese and Indian spiritual traditions, further enriching Qigong's cultural tapestry. With his profound understanding of Qigong history, John examines the practice as a movement that has not only evolved but has potentially influenced other Eastern practices, such as Yoga.

In the end, he also provides a detailed analysis of the current state of Zhineng Qigong, noting how it has transformed to meet the needs of a more modern society. John elaborates on its transition into medical Qigong and explores Dr. Pang Ming's significant role in advancing this holistic health modality.

Mindful Moments:

  • Lao Tzu's teachings on balance are evident in practices like Zhineng Qigong, which emphasize the mind-body connection. The concept of "where the mind goes, the qi follows."
  • While Daoism provides a philosophical foundation, traditional Chinese medicine, though newer, has also significantly influenced Qigong's development.
  • Difference between Falun Gong and other Qigong forms, and their impact on Chinese society and democracy.
  • Dr. Pang Ming’s crucial role in shaping Qigong history.
  • Buddhism introduced physical exercises like Yijinjing and Baduanjin through figures like Bodhidharma, with the Shaolin Temple as a prime example.

14 Aug 2024Translation to Transformation: Dissolving the Ego with Qigong - Nicolas Lovert-Dubert00:30:20

Consciousness, ego and vulnerability through the lens of the Zhineng Qigong Practice. These are some of the themes Nicolas Lovert-Dubert shares insights on. Consciousness, in Qigong, is both a receiver and sender of information, forming the foundation for transforming energy and physical reality. Ego, extends beyond showmanship to encompass self-centredness. He also shares how vulnerability, becomes a strength when openly acknowledged. The Zhineng Qigong practice was used to improve his life and overall happiness.

Dr. Pang's philosophy that "no ego is the quickest way to enlightenment" serves as a central theme for Nicolas too. Qigong teachers he worked with, including Master Wei Qifeng, inspired him to react more consciously in various life situations. Being mindful of how he reacts in his everyday life. Because ultimately that's what we can control, how we react to situations that are happening to us.

Nicolas shares an experience with jealousy in his Qigong practice. He recalls feeling jealous of a fellow practitioner who he perceived as being more advanced and having a better state of consciousness than himself. Instead of hiding these feelings, Nicolas chose to openly admit his jealousy to the entire class. Not being phased by fear...

Fear forms part of the ego's defensive mechanisms. Nicolas notes that ego is all about protection but ultimately limits you. Embracing vulnerability, instead of fighting it, unlocks personal power and authenticity. It’s using your frame of reference consciously that allows for broader perspectives and understanding.

Tune in to hear his story!

Mindful Moments:

  • Consciousness in Qigong forms the foundation for transforming energy and physical reality.
  • Qigong and Ego: Fear is used as a defensive mechanism. Opinionated attitudes often stem from ego and can lead to conflict.
  • Vulnerability in Qigong: it shows deep strength, to make your weakness known. It's also an opportunity to grow, learn and have emotional release. Thus, freeing up energy that would have been used to protect yourself.
  • Being happy in Qigong: Happiness is a choice and can be cultivated through daily practices.
  • Authenticity in Qigong: Buddha experienced human reactions, even spiritual masters are not immune to normal experiences - this humanity makes them more relatable and authentic as teachers.
  • Qigong masters: Nicolas provides valuable insight when working many masters, Master Wei Qifeng among others.

28 Aug 2024Qigong and Intention: How Information Shapes Our Reality - Luise Kohl-Hajek00:52:19

Where the mind goes, Qi follows. For Luise Kohl-Hajek this practice and phrase was a key part of her healing journey from a breast cancer diagnosis. Qi, being the vital life force in the Zhineng Qigong practice. Intention was what drove Luise to find alternative methods to heal cancer. To find new information, change her mindset to a positive one and change her prognosis. Homeopathy was one of the methods she tried, it supported her journey though it didn’t heal her completely.

Her Qigong teacher, recommended a book at a time when Luise was at a crossroads: western medicine or eastern practices - China, ultimately was her destination of choice. After hearing about so many healing stories. Information is what changed and shaped her understanding, as it reinforced her belief in the power of her mind and body to heal. And her intention and deeper unconscious beliefs influenced her healing. While conscious thoughts, like the mind, may be filled with doubts and fears, a deeper, often unconscious conviction, like one’s heart, can drive the healing process.

Intuition guided Luise as she navigated her health challenges. Her inner voice urged her to practice Qigong consistently, leading her to believe that after four weeks, her cancer would heal. Intention is linked to information and information to manifestation. It’s by hearing new information that influence our beliefs, heart and mind. What information or thoughts are you going to listen to? An old frame of reference or something new and positive?

Tune in to hear how Luise and her deep-seated intuition combined with learning new information, helped her confront fear and navigate her life.

Mindful Moments:

  • Yi Dao Qi Dao - Where the mind flows, Qi follows. A principle central to Zhineng Qigong
  • Healing with Qigong: Trust in the healing process and allowing the Qi (vital life force) to work in its own way is important.
  • Clearing blockages with Qi for trauma: Complete healing involves understanding and integrating deeper emotional and psychological layers, not just conscious thoughts.
  • The choice in how we react to thoughts or information: During difficult times we have a choice in how much we follow old frames of reference or thought patterns , though it takes consistency to overcome
  • Self awareness: Becoming aware of one's thoughts and choosing to align with deeper wisdom is an ongoing practice that requires presence and commitment
  • Intention and deeper unconscious beliefs play a crucial role in shaping one's reality
  • In Chinese philosophy, the heart represents deeper knowledge and emotional wisdom, not just the mind

04 Sep 2024The 8 Verses of Zhineng Qigong Explained - Federico Garcia-Anguiano01:01:13

The 8 verses meditation, also known as The Ding Tian Li Di song forms the foundation of the Zhineng Qigong practice. The Huaxia Centre teachers emphasise this as the most important aspect to learn. Federico Garcia-Anguiano explains that the eight verses - serves as preparation, not only for any method of practice but also, as Grandmaster Dr. Pang teaches, for life itself.

Federico explains that building a Qi field is a key concept within this practice, as its consciousness that plays a central role in understanding and applying the 8 verses. An old reference framework can lead to energy imbalances and disease when rigidly maintained. You distort reality through this limited perspective. The eight verses of Zhineng Qigong aim to free you from these constraints, serving as a reminder of your true self.

Buddhism, Daoism and Confucianism are all cultural influences for the 8 verses meditation. It even has reference to a musical scale as well. The eight verses meditation is structured in a way that mirrors this law, with intervals between verses representing the progression through the octave.

Each verse in the 8 verses serves as a preparation for the next, with the preceding verses laying the groundwork for the insights and experiences of the following ones. In Zhineng Qigong, the theory and practice are inseparable, with consciousness permeating every aspect of the practice.

Join Federico as he uncovers the eight phrases of life meditation.

Mindful Moments:

  • 8 Verses meditation as the foundation of the Zhineng Qigong practice: Ding Tian Li Di, is emphasized as the most crucial aspect of Zhineng Qigong practice
  • Eight phrases of life meditation or the Ding Tian Li Di song, is  preparation for any method of practice and for life itself
  • Building a Qi Field: A key concept in Zhineng Qigong is the importance of building a Qi field, where consciousness plays a vital role in understanding and applying the 8 verses
  • Dr. Pang addresses the eight verses to the "indomitable spirit", directly reminding Qigong practitioners and students of their true self
  • The Eight Verses of Zhineng Qigong are influenced by Buddhism, Daoism, and Confucianism, and are structured similarly to a musical scale, reflecting the law of octaves
  • An old reference framework can lead to energy imbalances and disease, emphasizing the need to free oneself from these constraints through the 8 verses

11 Sep 2024Qigong & Yi Yuan Ti: Harnessing Brain Energy and A Pathway To A Higher Consciousness - Katrien Hendrickx00:39:35

Yi Yuan Ti represents the energy of our brain and the Qi of the central nervous system. Dr Pang describes this brain energy as the most refined Qi in the universe. Zhineng Qigong teacher, Katrien Hendrickx discusses that this power of the mind is essential for our physical well-being and also serves as the foundation for our consciousness. Stating that a pure Yi Yuan Ti is equated with one's true self, free from the accumulated experiences that form our reference framework. A distinct type of Qi. It has autonomy yet precision. The one who stays focused can direct Qi and influence physical and emotional healing, Katrien explains.

To cultivate Yi Yuan Ti - observation is a critical component. It’s by becoming aware of our reference framework—shaped by life experiences and emotional responses—we can begin to purify our Yi Yuan Ti, Katrien explains. This awareness allows us to recognize thought patterns and habits. As we learn to observe these reactions without judgment, we can gradually set aside our conditioned responses and reconnect with the purity of our Yi Yuan Ti, fostering a clearer perception of ourselves and our surroundings.

In Zhineng Qigong, the nervous system is seen as the first life system, which processes sensory information and shapes our life experiences. Yi Yuan Ti comes into play, in the second life system, unlocking the potential for what some may call paranormal abilities. Katrien notes these abilities are not supernatural but rather a natural consequence of our innate capacities, waiting to be cultivated through practice and awareness. By activating certain energy points to where the Yi Yuan Ti is located in our brain we develop these abilities, something akin to that of the third eye - a higher consciousness or sixth sense.

Zhineng Qigong practitioners and students can learn to cultivate Yi Yuan Ti to find their true self and understand the world around them. By tapping into this energy, individuals can manage their physical health, their cognitive processes and even clear emotional blockages, allowing for a more harmonious life.

Mindful Moments:

  • Yi Yuan Ti is described as the energy of the brain, considered the most refined Qi (vital life force) in the universe according to Dr. Pang, founder of Zhineng Qigong
  • In Qigong a pure Yi Yuan Ti is equated with one's true self, free from accumulated experiences that form our reference framework
  • Cultivating Yi Yuan Ti can help individuals manage physical health, cognitive processes, and emotional blockages, promoting a more harmonious life
  • Yi Yuan Ti is linked to consciousness, a foundational aspect of the Zhineng Qigong practice
  • Dr. Pang's theory describes three layers: body, Qi, and the information level (consciousness), with Yi Yuan Ti being the energy of consciousness and the central nervous system

18 Sep 2024Qigong For Children: Empowering Young Minds with Energy & Intention - Mirjam Buck00:46:43

Children without discipline often lack self-control or focus - a challenge for parents, but for Mirjam Buck, children are at the heart of her Zhineng Qigong practice. Zhineng Qigong practices, have proven to capture children's attention, allowing them to explore their innate abilities, extending beyond consciousness and the physical level. Being seen and respected are important to children, even at such a young age. By simply building a Qi field, removing ego and having a sense of community: discipline issues that some children initially faced have been addressed through Zhineng Qigong. Qigong enabled children to respect each other's emotions and ideas, creating a safe space for them to express themselves freely.

Intention and it’s power has been demonstrated by these children countless times, through spoon bending exercises and even placing cut zucchini back together, Mirjam discusses. Children grow up in times where external validation and instant gratification are, seemingly, a part of daily life. A reference framework driven by ego and comparison. In Qigong, Mirjam taught them that sharing the Qi field as a group, sending information with supportive, positive energy as their fellow classmates achieve success won’t hinder theirs. They were just as influential and instrumental in their classmates’ success, showcasing the power of unity and oneness - a core principle of Zhineng Qigong.

La Qi, with pouring Qi down and the 8 verses meditation, are Qigong practices children really love. Children report vivid sensations of energy and light, Mirjam notes. Children of her class found doing La Qi and meditating with the eight verses of Zhineng Qigong was grounding and help balance them after a stressful day. Mirjam notes that she often learns from them too. Mirjam excluded herself in the group, one of her student’s asked "Why are you not saying we are wonderful? You forgot yourself." This taught Mirjam about maintaining equality and connection within the group.

Parents and guardians know the importance of the formative years in a child’s life it’s well documented. Self-confidence, and knowing your true self through  Qigong is Mirjam’s purpose of these classes. Anxiety and insecurity are often the results of separation of self within childhood, the Zhineng Qigong practice provides a foundation of unity and emotional resilience, preparing children for the challenges of life.

Mindful Moments:

  • Zhineng Qigong helps kids discover their true selves, building Self-Confidence
  • Qi Field and Unity: Build a Qi field creating oneness and a supportive, positive environment for all.
  • Qigong creates a safe space for children to connect and support each other, removing ego and jealousy.
  • Intention: Children have demonstrated extended abilities through intention & experiments.
  • La Qi and 8 verses meditation are the kid's favorites.

25 Sep 2024How To Create Your Very Own Qigong Diet - Sahaja Yuantong00:49:22

The Zhineng Qigong practice has its purpose in unity and balance within the mind-body connection. Dr Pang said Qigong shouldn’t be limited to movements, but a reflection in daily life. Sahaja Yuantong integrated diet and food choices with Zhineng Qigong, reflecting wholeness. Qigong and nutrition are interconnected aspects of holistic health. The Zhineng Qigong practice, while not explicitly focused on diet, recognizes the importance of food in overall well-being.

Discovering your true-self through Zhineng Qigong, will expand awareness as this is the source of wisdom even with personal nutrition. The inner master, will become conscious of the effect food can have. Sahaja explains, that our inner-self, awakens as one becomes more attuned to their body's needs through mindfulness. Our reference framework of food  often influence our choices, this could stem from childhood or an experience associated with a particular meal, like seeking comfort - Sahaja notes.

Sahaja discusses, flexibility and awareness in dietary choices allow individuals to adapt to their unique requirements. Recalling an acupuncture session, where she was told to increase her protein intake and take a more balanced route with her nutrition. Encouraging mindful eating rather than rigid dietary rules, where missing nutrients can cause trouble and develop into a disease.

Sahaja touches on the inevitable cravings too. As cravings complicate our relationship with food. Recognizing these cravings is essential for distinguishing them from genuine nutritional needs. It’s okay to satisfy a craving in moderation, because even a craving will work it's way out and reset, Sahaja emphasizes the importance of balance and oneness in food choices.

We have to be mindful of what we put into our bodies. Sahaja highlights the significance of aligning food choices with the natural rhythms of life. The concept of macrobiotics (a diet associated with Zen Buddhism), which emphasizes the balance of yin and yang in foods & illustrates how seasonal eating can enhance health. For instance, ever wondered why you prefer lighter meals in summer, while heartier ones in winter? This approach reflects the Daoist philosophy that underpins both Qigong and nutrition, suggesting that food should harmonize with our environment and personal needs.

Mindful moments:

  • Qigong & Nutrition: Zhineng Qigong emphasizes nutrition for holistic health
  • Self-Awareness & Food: Connect with your true self to make informed food choices
  • Yin & Yang Eating: Balance your diet with seasonal eating
  • Mindful Eating: Be conscious of how food affects your energy
  • Avoid Self-Sabotage: Understand emotional eating patterns
  • Positive Nutrition: Enjoy food that promotes well-being

02 Oct 2024Awaken Your Mingjue: The Gateway to Pure Consciousness in Zhineng Qigong - Regina Dell Oro00:56:25

Mingjue in Zhineng Qigong is a self aware state that goes beyond all feelings, thoughts and emotions. It is a state of pure consciousness and clear awareness that is both accessible and applicable in daily life. Regina Dell Oro teaches us how to access this almost meditative state and how to apply Mingjue to every situation. When we align with the inner observer through Zhineng Qigong, we develop a stable consciousness state and awaken to our true self.  Mingjue acts as a gateway, connecting our everyday, concept-driven thinking to a more elevated state of pure awareness.

Regina was taught how to access Mingjue by Teacher Wei Qifeng. How to ensure relaxation forms the foundation of the Mingjue practice, allowing Qigong practitioners and students to let go of tension and enter a deeper state of consciousness. Observation follows, where attention is brought to the body and mind without judgment. The third step is concentration, or effortless attention, deepens this observation, contradicting Western notions or reference frameworks of concentration as effortful.

Change naturally occurs as a result of these steps. Emotional regulation becomes possible through the application of Mingjue principles, Regina explains. By letting go of attachments and preconceptions is crucial throughout this process, Regina notes.

When you are in a state of Mingjue you are in control as choice in reactions is emphasised. Regina also notes that daily life has stressors, and she encourages us to use Qigong and Mingjue in all aspects of one's life. Regina believes that one’s Qi is preserved and enhanced through Mingjue and Zhineng Qigong, leading to increased energy and joy in daily experiences.

Mindful moments:

  • Mingjue: A state of pure consciousness beyond feelings and thoughts.
  • Access Mingjue: Relax, observe, and focus.
  • Emotional Regulation: Release attachments and preconceptions.
  • Enhanced Qi: Increase energy and joy through Mingjue.
  • Gateway to Higher Awareness: Connect with your true self.

09 Oct 2024Qigong Roundtable: Why Do Some People Heal And Others Don’t?01:20:00

Zhineng Qigong serves as a transformative practice that emphasizes holistic healing, but why do some heal from their disease and others don’t?

Is it that some set stronger intentions than others? Is fear blocking the Qi flow, causing a somatic separation? Is it resistance of the ego? A jaded reference framework? Is it persistence because of our life’s purpose or is it down to surrendered acceptance?

In this special episode of our Qigong podcast, features Britta Stalling, Debra Weisenburger-Lipetz, Federico García and Ronit Adar sharing insight on one of life’s biggest questions.

Intention plays a crucial role in the healing process, as emphasized by Britta. She notes that while many individuals claim a desire to heal, the depth of their intention often varies. Britta illustrates this with examples of two Qigong practitioners facing similar health challenges; one’s powerful life intention led to significant healing, while the other’s doubts and fears impeded progress.

Having healed from stage 4 breast cancer, Qigong teacher, Debra highlights the importance of addressing emotional blockages such as fear and worry, which can create densities that hinder healing. She argues that too much focus on illness detracts from understanding the holistic nature of health, suggesting that a strong foundation built through the Qigong practice allows individuals to connect with their true selves.

Federico, having also faced his own health challenges with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), echoes Debra's sentiments. He notes the importance of shifting attention away from fear and anxiety toward a mindset of joy and peace can also promote healing. A radical acceptance is also important to stay whole and unified, for it's disturbances such as stress that complicate the healing process. Where mind, body, and spirit are aligned - suffering cannot ensue.

Self-awareness in the healing process, is important for Ronit, having healed from rheumatoid arthritis through Zhineng Qigong. Understanding who you truly are is foundational to overcoming the fear, that often stems from a lack of self-knowledge. This separation from one's true self can lead to suffering. Ronit emphasizes self-honesty to understand ego's impact on experiences.

One question with many answers, we can agree that healing is deeper than physical symptoms; it encompasses rebuilding trust—trust in life and in one’s own purpose, in the belief that our path is set.

Mindful Moments:

  • Qigong & Healing: Personal experiences show Zhineng Qigong's healing potential
  • Intention can affect healing outcomes
  • Acceptance Heals: Radical acceptance promotes wholeness
  • Emotional Blocks: Fear and worry can hinder healing and Qi flow
  • Mind-Body-Spirit Alignment: Reduces suffering and promotes wholeness
  • Persistence is Key: Never give up on your healing journey

23 Oct 2024Qigong For The End of Life - Reyna Lerma00:37:45

Zhineng Qigong can be a powerful tool for all phases of life, including at the end-of-life. In our Qigong Podcast, Qigong practitioner Reyna Lerma, found that the Qigong practice offers unique support for those transitioning and their families during her time volunteering at hospice and palliative care facilities. Transformation is a natural part of life, and Qigong helps facilitate this process with grace and awareness.

By building and sharing the Qi field, along with meditation, Reyna uses these Qigong techniques to support patients in their journey. Pain management is one of the practical benefits Zhineng Qigong offers in end-of-life care when movement is possible. Sharing the Qi field is a fundamental practice, which may contribute to pain relief.

Reyna also addresses emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of a person's journey. Consciousness becomes a central focus, as she aims to support individuals in reaching their highest level of awareness during transition. Forgiveness work, both for oneself and others, often becomes an important part of the transformation process. Mental clarity can be enhanced through Qigong practices, helping individuals make peace with their journey.

Oneness and wholeness are key concepts to Zhineng Qigong and in Reyna's approach with individuals. Embracing these principles transcends the fear of death and separation, leading to a more open and accepting attitude towards life and finding peace within their final moments. It is well known that once separation occurs - suffering ensues, Qigong brings wholeness to any situation even when faced with something seemingly as crude as death.

Family support is a crucial aspect of end-of-life care, and Qigong can help create a supportive environment for all involved. Loss doesn’t only affect the individual, but the people around them. With Reyna’s end-of-life doula training complementing Qigong, she provides a holistic approach to supporting individuals and families through this difficult time.

An open heart and open mind are fundamental to Zhineng Qigong and to Reyna's approach. These qualities help individuals awaken to their full potential, accept their circumstances, and achieve a higher level of consciousness during their transition.

Mindful moments:

  • Qigong for All Stages: Zhineng Qigong supports life's phases, including end-of-life.
  • Consciousness & Transition: Qigong aims to support a higher level of consciousness at the moment of passing.
  • Qi Field Exchange: The Qi field facilitates unique information exchange.
  • Overcoming Fear: Embracing oneness and wholeness helps reduce fear and resistance.
  • Family Support: Qigong helps families navigate emotions and find peace.
  • Emotional & Mental Healing: Qigong supports forgiveness, clarity, and acceptance.

30 Oct 2024Qigong Practice: Healing Ancestral Trauma - Maarten Van Opstal00:37:50

True healing, according to Maarten van Opstal, means to liberate yourself from any burden. In today’s Qigong podcast, Maarten explains how ancestral healing became his pathway to understanding how his kidney failure connected to a larger family story.

Generational trauma affects us more deeply than we realize, as demonstrated through Maarten's powerful healing journey. After receiving a kidney transplant, mind body healing transformed his perspective, leading him from purely physical recovery to a deeper emotional awakening. The mind body spirit connection through Zhineng Qigong opened his eyes to a fundamental truth: we cannot separate our physical, emotional, and energetic aspects, they are all one.

Accepting his physical limitations was a gateway to deeper healing, while genetic inheritance showed itself not just in physical features, but in the way he processed emotions. Through oneness in Qigong, when leading with acceptance, there's a particular wholeness and peace in any situation. Another key principle of the Qigong practice: having an open heart and open mind - a healing transformation occurred when he finally accepted his body completely, acknowledging both the blessings and challenges inherited from his ancestral line. His acceptance is a culmination of his work with Qigong and his exploration of the relationship between his ancestors and his own energy being.

Finding life purpose through healing emerged as Maarten discovered that true liberation means freeing oneself from ancestral burdens. Zhineng Qigong and Chinese medicine healing principles helped him understand that his body's story started long before his birth. Maarten's story underscores the significance of holistic healing, which encompasses not just the physical but also the mental and emotional dimensions.

By integrating Qigong, Chinese Medicine and his background in psychology, Maarten achieved a deeper sense of peace and gratitude in his life. Tune in to hear his story.

Mindful moments:

  • The open heart and mind principle of Zhineng Qigong facilitates deep healing transformation
  • Genetic inheritance influences not just physical traits but emotional processing patterns
  • Oneness in Qigong: Mind-body-spirit cannot be separated - they form one integrated system in healing
  • Being one and acceptance is the key to peace. Deep peace and gratitude emerge from integrating ancestral acceptance with personal healing
  • Kidney afflictions led to discovering deeper connection between physical illness and family history for Maarten
  • Ancestral burdens can be released through understanding and acceptance of family lineage
  • Holistic healing must address physical, mental, and emotional dimensions simultaneously

06 Nov 2024Qigong and Your Vision For Life - Anke Huerkamp00:36:05

Having a vision for your life serves as an internal compass, guiding you toward success. In today’s Qigong podcast Anke Huerkamp discusses how, with the help of Zhineng Qigong, you can too discover your life vision and live your highest potential.

Self-discovery happens organically through consistent Qi Gong practice - it’s more than having a vision board about creating the life you want, with Qigong it’s about building inner trust and a oneness with an open heart and mind. The heart-mind connection strengthens as we learn to align our thoughts with our heart's wisdom, as Anke explains. As we raise our awareness, our trust building occurs gradually as we validate our inner knowing and no longer seek validation externally.

When faced with failure or difficulties, it is important to leave judgment and comparison behind, Anke explains. With the principles of oneness and unity in Qigong, this mindset helps individuals navigate challenges with greater resilience and inner peace - knowing that even with setbacks you are still well on your way to making your vision a reality. It’s with this unity, being aligned with your heart and your mind whereby you can overcome the inevitable challenges.

The La Qi method is used during Anke’s vision coaching. La Qi teaches you a simple “open and absorb” movement, hands gather Qi and nourish either the whole body or specific focus areas. With this method Anke teaches you to open up and absorb to all possibilities for your vision and to live an authentic & successful life.

We often have a reference framework or an old thought pattern that we’ll be happy once we achieve our vision or a certain goal. With Qigong, this is not the case - you learn to be happy on your way to your vision. Happiness precedes achievement, rather than being its result. When you are happy and connected to your heart, you can effectively communicate your vision and attract others to support you, Anke emphasises.

Implementing your vision involves taking action based on the inner trust and clarity gained through Qigong. Anke works with clients to not only discover their vision but also to implement. She emphasizes the importance of knowing what you want without doubt - tune in to hear how to discover your vision and live your highest potential.

Mindful moments:

  • Qigong & Vision: Qigong guides you toward your life vision
  • Self-Discovery: Qigong fosters inner trust and heart-mind connection

13 Nov 2024Qigong Practice: The Art of Intention and Acceptance - Wabke Bouman00:39:51

As a Qigong teacher & Huyuan Qi therapist herself, core Zhineng Qigong principles are no stranger to Wabke Bouman. In today’s Qigong podcast Wabke speaks on many Qi gong principles: intention, trust & acceptance.

Intention is a crucial aspect of both personal and spiritual growth. When you have an intention that truly comes from within, you connect with the Qi field. The more you build and connect to the Qi field, the open you are, the more possibilities arise. Connecting with the Qi field or the universe opens up pathways and opportunities that might not have been visible otherwise. We often have a narrow reference frame work of what intention is and doing so can close off so many possibilities, as Wabke explains.

Trust is not only an essential part to intention, but to the Qigong practice as a whole. While setting a clear direction is important, it is equally vital to surrender to the journey or Qi field and trust that the universe or life will guide you towards your goals as Wabke notes. With consistent Zhineng Qigong practice you can re-build trust. This trust is about trusting life itself to treat you well and lead you to where you need to be. Western culture has a thought pattern of protection and one that’s rooted in fear, where as in Qigong with an open heart and mind you learn to let go of the need for control and embrace the unknown.

Qigong teaches acceptance of all situations, good or bad. By removing judgment and embracing the moment, you reduce suffering and find unexpected blessings. Wabke shares a personal story of how accepting an injury led to unexpected kindness and growth.

Happiness and gratitude is another central Zhineng Qigong theme Wabke explores in this episode. It is important to recognize that happiness and fulfillment are not just end goals but are present throughout the journey, Wabke clarifies. It’s the trust that you can be happy before reaching your goal,  the acceptance in the midst of challenges, the gratitude in enjoying the journey and finding happiness in the present moment - all key principles of Qigong and navigation systems for life.

Mindful moments:

  • Intention & Qigong: Intention guides Qigong practice and opens new possibilities.
  • Qi Field Connection: Connecting to the Qi field expands potential.
  • Trust in Qigong: Trust in the journey and the universe.
  • Letting Go of Control: Embrace the unknown and reduce suffering.
  • Acceptance in Qigong: Accept all situations without judgment.
  • Happiness & Gratitude: Find happiness in the present moment.

20 Nov 2024How We Healed Dementia With Qigong - Bernhard Karrasch00:36:08

Heal Your Brain and Nervous System: https://www.zhineng-qigong-students-hub.com/product/heal-your-brain-and-nervous-system/

Dementia, a condition often deemed incurable by Western medicine, was the catalyst for Bernhard Karrasch's journey into the Zhineng Qigong practice. In today’s Qigong podcast, discover how qigong for dementia was beneficial to Bernhard Karrasch’s wife.

His wife diagnosed with dementia showed typical symptoms of cognitive decline and memory loss - to the point where even Bernhard was unrecognisable. They attended a Zhineng Qigong retreat in China - and within 5 months his wife already had signs of an improved cognitive function and brain health.

As a microbiology and biochemistry scientist, Bernhard discovered how Qigong supported his wife's health by understanding the mind-body connection. He concluded that thoughts and intentions directly influence physical health, triggering the body's natural healing abilities. By changing thoughts and behavior, one can initiate recovery - a key principle of Zhineng Qigong.

Bernhard's research explored Qi as a scientific concept, using quantum mechanics principles to understand its role in energy and universal information. He discovered that Qi encompasses the fundamental rules of the universe, including biochemistry. This understanding suggests that minimizing stressors and maintaining natural living can reduce disease susceptibility.

La Qi method became a fundamental practice in his wife’s healing journey, Bernhard explains. The simple Qigong movement of opening and closing and visualising clear mental images of optimal health, was also beneficial to her overall cognitive wellness, balance and co-ordination and boosted memory.

Western medicine, while valuable, often focuses on treating symptoms rather than addressing the underlying causes of diseases. In contrast, alternative healing methods like Zhineng Qigong aim to enhance life quality by reduces stressors.

Bernhard's experience and research highlight the powerful interplay between thoughts, Qi, and the body's natural healing mechanisms, in this case Qigong for dementia. By embracing practices like Zhineng Qigong and adopting a positive, mindful approach to life, individuals can significantly improve their health and quality of life.

Mindful moments:

  • Qigong & Dementia: Qigong shows promise in healing dementia
  • Mind-Body Connection: Thoughts and intentions influence physical health
  • Qi as Science: Qi is a form of energy and information
  • La Qi Method: Simple Qigong movements improve cognition, balance, and memory.
  • Visualization & Healing: Mental imagery aids physical and cognitive healing.
  • Lifestyle Transformation: Mindful living improves overall health.

27 Nov 2024Detachment Using Yi Yuan Ti: A New Qigong Therapy - Leilah Cupido00:33:41

Detachment is a crucial concept in Zhineng Qigong and achieving a balanced and happy life, as explained by Leilah Cupido (Qigong Practitioner & Huyuan Qi Therapist). In today’s Qigong podcast we learn that detachment is not about separation - but rather about returning to a place of objectivity and wholeness without any subjective influences Leilah explains.

Leilah notes that inner work is essential in this process. By defining the relationship to the attachment and understanding its source, individuals can begin to detach in a way that is not about denying the importance of the attachment but about creating a healthier relationship with it. Whether it be grief, emotional baggage or toxic thought patterns. This approach allows individuals to honor and love what they are attached to without being controlled by it.

Our reference framework shapes how we perceive and interact with the world, often creating limitations based on learned behaviors, ego &  defensive mechanisms and is often how attachments are formed. Limiting beliefs and thought patterns often arise, but through Qigong therapy Leilah notes you can free yourself from habitual thinking or reactions.

Leilah guides her clients through a Yi Yuan Ti meditation, which involves the Qi of the consciousness where the true self resides. This meditation is a powerful tool for reconnecting with one's inner self and establishing a more stable foundation free from the subjectivity of attachments.

The subtle La Qi method, yields significant results in emotional healing too. Leilah uses the La Qi method that involves sending and returning Qi related to the attachment, helps in creating a dynamic of giving and receiving, thereby resolving the attachment in a healthy manner. Through these Zhineng Qigong techniques,  many individuals experience improvements in their emotional wellbeing, but also an improvement in energy levels.

Through Qigong, detachment leads to peace of mind and life balance. By cultivating objectivity and inner wholeness, practitioners learn to transcend worrisome thoughts and emotional attachments. This centered state enables acceptance of life's challenges and promotes personal growth and well-being.

Mindful moments:

  • Detachment in Qigong: Return to objectivity and wholeness.
  • Inner Work: Define attachments and create healthier relationships with them.
  • Honor Attachments, Not Control: Love attachments without being controlled by them.
  • Reference Framework & Attachments: Break free from limiting thought patterns.
  • Yi Yuan Ti Meditation: Reconnect with your inner self.
  • La Qi Method & Emotional Healing: Resolve attachments through Qi exchange.
  • Peace of Mind & Balance: Achieve inner peace and balance.

04 Dec 2024Heal and transform with Zhineng Qigong (Level 1) - Britta Stalling00:42:09

Life Changer presents Ancient Wisdom – Zhineng Qigong Level 1:
https://life-changer-worldwide.com/product/life-changer-presents-ancient-wisdom-zhineng-qigong-level-1/

Level One Zhineng Qigong serves as a foundational practice that emphasizes the importance of Lift Qi Up, Pour Qi Down method. This exercise is a central part of the healing process at the Huaxia Centre, a renowned medicine-less hospital in China founded by Dr. Pang Ming. In today’s Qigong podcast - Britta Stalling, Qigong Practitioner and Huyuan Qi Therapist, discusses the first level of Zhineng Qigong.

Qi squats and the Three Centres Merge are additional Qigong movements of Level 1 Qigong, enhancing the practice's effectiveness, Britta explains. Dr. Pang’s goal was to simplify traditional Qigong methods, but maintain it’s power. The transformative power of these Qigong exercises, can lead individuals toward achieving their highest potential and overall well-being, Britta mentions.

Britta explains the transformation law of Qi plays a significant role in level one of Qigong, discussing how physical matter changes into energy and information through awareness. With this principle the idea is that our life force is constantly exchanging with the abundant Qi found in nature. By embracing this exchange, practitioners can tap into the regenerative power of the universe: self healing, personal growth and authentic living.

Healing and transformation becomes accessible through consistent practice, where self-awareness and powerful intention guide the practitioner's journey, Britta notes. Here, acceptance and mindful way finding through life's challenges, enables individuals to reach their full potential by understanding the connection between mind and qi.

Ultimately, Level One Zhineng Qigong encourages individuals to cultivate acceptance and adaptability, essential qualities for navigating life's challenges and undergoing continuous transformation.

Mindful moments:

  • Level One Qigong: Foundational Healing
  • Simplified Qigong: Accessible and powerful healing techniques.

  • Qi Exchange: Connect with universal energy.
  • Healing Movements: Enhance energy flow and healing.
  • Self-Awareness & Intention: Cultivate self-awareness and intentional living.
  • Adaptability & Acceptance: Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth.
  • Personal Potential: Reach your highest potential through mind-body-qi connection.

Zhineng Qigong blends traditional Chinese wisdom with modern psychology, exploring the intricate mind-body connection through Master Zhen's "Psychology of Inner Perception" and its approach to holistic healing through heart-centered awareness.

Master Zhen discovered at the Huaxia Centre (medicine less hospital) that emotional blockages can significantly impact healing, observing how patients with similar conditions respond differently to Qigong based on their emotional states and self-connection.

In Qigong, emotional blockages or "heart stones" obstruct the flow of Qi, impacting overall well-being. According to Master Zhen, mindfully acknowledging emotional trauma without judgment can promote mental clarity. By accepting these emotions without resistance, individuals can gradually heal from within, developing a deeper heart-centered understanding.

Zhineng Qigong enables healing by accepting emotions without reliving past traumas. By connecting with Shen (heart's spirit), practitioners raise consciousness without needing to rationalize feelings. Master Zhen's Psychology of Inner Perception provides a framework for healing through emotional awareness. The practice transcends intellectual analysis, offering a compassionate journey back to one's essential nature, liberating individuals from constraining narratives and fostering profound self-understanding.

Mindful moments:

  • Zhineng Qigong blends traditional Chinese healing with modern psychology, emphasizing mind-body connection in health.
  • Emotional states profoundly impact healing, with "heart stones" blocking Qi flow, as researched by Master Zhen at the Huaxia Centre.
  • Master Zhen's Psychology of Inner Perception provides a theoretical and practical framework for addressing emotional barriers in Qigong
  • Self-understanding emerges through compassionate heart-energy connection rather than intellectual analysis, promoting authentic living.
  • A holistic health approach integrating physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions for comprehensive well-being.

18 Dec 2024Finding Your Power - Yoann Regis Incredible Qigong Journey00:33:54

Zhineng Qigong became a transformative path for Yoann Regis, offering him a profound journey of self-discovery during a challenging period of his life. In today’s Qigong podcast, Yoann Regis talks about his struggles with feeling out of place and how his spiritual journey through Qigong opened up new possibilities of healing and connection. This feeling of disconnection and separation propelled him to slow down and reflect on his life, ultimately guiding him towards the transformative power of Qigong.

The Huaxia Centre holds great importance for Qigong practitioners and students alike - and it was no different for Yoann. It is here that he learnt that joy, was not something to be achieved, but a natural state to be rediscovered by reconnecting with one's inner child and the fundamental energy of life with the help of a fellow Qigong student who faced a life threatening illness.

Dr. Pang's philosophy that we are all both students and masters in our own right - resonates with Yoann. It shifts the traditional hierarchical dynamic. This perspective encourages oneness, another foundational principle of the Zhineng Qigong practice, community and collaboration. Connecting with your true self is essential. Yoann mentions that it’s an important step to personal growth, when we have self doubt we often create separation and therefore anxiety. Ultimately complicating our lives instead of embracing simplicity.

Openness is a cornerstone of the Qigong practice. He encourages individuals to start where they are without the need for perfection. This creates a community where everyone can share in each others wisdom through sharing the Qi field and enabling self discovery.

Yoann's wisdom remind us that while we may face challenges along our paths, embracing our authentic selves and trusting in our abilities can lead to profound transformation and joy in life.

Mindful moments:

  • Yoann's Journey: Qigong helped him heal and connect during a tough time.
  • Healing and Connection: Qigong emphasized mindfulness and reflection.
  • Rediscovering Joy: Reconnecting with his inner child led to joy.
  • Philosophy of Oneness: Dr. Pang's philosophy promotes unity and collaboration.
  • Self-Discovery: Self-doubt hinders personal growth.
  • Openness in Practice: Openness fosters a supportive community.
  • Embracing Authenticity: Authenticity leads to transformation and joy.
  • Collective Wisdom: Sharing experiences enhances self-discovery.
  • Transformational Potential: Trusting oneself can lead to profound change.

15 Jan 2025Healing with Music Frequency and Qigong - Lou Padin00:31:17

Lou Padin combines Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Zhineng Qigong and sound therapy techniques to facilitate deep healing experiences. In today's Qigong podcast learn how Lou, an accomplished acupuncturist discovered the benefits of frequency healing and energy healing with sound.

Lou discusses how specific sound frequencies can enhance the Qi field -a central part of the Qi Gong practice - allowing Qigong students and practitioners to have deeper connections and more effective healing. Frequency healing and the addition of music to the sessions became central to Lou's practice, as she spent years studying how different musical time signatures affect consciousness and healing potential.

Through Dr. Pang's 8 verses meditation, Lou accesses heightened consciousness to observe how frequencies interact with the Qi field. This led her to develop a method combining qigong with frequency healing, where she identifies blockages causing disease and directs Qi to stimulate natural healing in those areas.

In Zhineng Qigong we are encouraged to live with an open heart and open mind & in today's Qigong podcast - Hunyuan Qi Therapist and Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, Heather Bourne discusses the art of healing with love.

Heather believes that healing is connected to love - in Hunyuan Qi Therapy and Qigong we are to connect heart and mind, because once separation occurs we sometimes fall ill or fall victim to stressors, because we forget we are one. When we are aligned with our heart, mind and body, we create wholeness - a sense of peace, compassion, kindness and love for yourself that you can reflect to the world and share with others.

In Qigong, love isn't just a feeling or sentiment as it's portrayed in most of society (often quite a selfish thing) as Heather explains. It's a reflection of our inner being or our true self. When you have an open heart and love through the basis of Qigong it becomes a mirror, so if you love a person it reflects a certain quality within you helping you to love yourself.

When connecting with the Qi field, Heather found that it's an opportunity to be present with an open mind, another key principle of the Qi Gong practice. When we have an open mind in Zhineng Qigong, we are often at a place of objectivity, we place ourselves in the shoes of others and realise that there's no judgement for others' lived experience. We see others as ourselves, we become one and begin to see things from their perspective leading to a more compassionate relationship with one another, led by love -  and then as Heather describes it, miracles and healing can occur.

Qigong and love together create a holistic approach to healing that emphasizes unity and harmony. By practicing Qigong with love, we not only heal ourselves but also contribute to a broader sense of oneness and compassion.

Mindful moments:

  • Love in Qigong transcends personal feelings, representing unconditional acceptance and universal connection.
  • Zhineng Qigong creates a healing state of oneness, dissolving boundaries between practitioner and patient.
  • Self-love emerges naturally by seeing oneself reflected in others, not through self-focused efforts.
  • Qi field requires an open, present mindset, combining Traditional Chinese Medicine with loving awareness.
  • Qigong self-love technique: Treat yourself with the same unconditional love you'd offer a young child.
  • Heather's upcoming project "The Art of Healing with Love" will explore Hunyuan Qi therapy, cacao ceremonies, and love's transformative nature.
