22 Mar 2023Boot Brands & Market Tips | Dallas Market Center March 2023 Live00:06:15
The perfect place to learn about boot brands and tips for market.
Get the MY FAVORITE RED BOOTS! CLICK HERE!

Ashley is live at the Dallas market center at the WESA show and is excited to share some companies that people may not know about.
One of those companies is Allen's Boots, which is out of Austin, Texas.
Allen's Boots make women's boots that Ashley loves, and they can be found on the 14th floor. Ashley mentions other companies such as Lucchese, Corral, Dingo, Twisted X, Ferrini, Dan Post Boots, Justin Boots, Double H, Old Gringo, Lane, Agave Sky, Blackjack Boots, Tanner Mark Boots, and more. She also mentions her Facebook community for Boot Babes, which is HERE and FREE.

Here, people can connect with each other, learn about the Western industry, and have a chance to win free boots. Ashley specifically mentions Dixon boots from Olson Seltzer, which is a brand that does not do wholesale. This conversation gives five tips for navigating the world of dallas fashion market. The first tip is to plan out the day by deciding on four showrooms to visit, which will take one to two hours each. The second tip is to leave some room for discovery, as it is likely that you will find additional showrooms that you weren't aware of. The third tip is to be gentle with yourself and recognize that everyone's experience is unique. The fourth tip is to get to know people without getting to know their business. Instead of asking what they do, ask about their superpower and background. Finally, the fifth tip is to take time to rest and refuel. Market can be overwhelming and exhausting, and it is important to take breaks to recharge.
Ashley is a 15 year veteran the Wesa March show, a buying show in the Dallas market center. In this podcast, she provides advice for those wishing to attend the market.

Her other tips include: having a goal for the show, being organized, having a plan of action, networking, and having a heart of service. She also encourages listeners to join the Facebook group associated with the The Boot Babes and to wear their boots when they attend. Ashley's advice is meant to help attendees make the most out of their experience at the show, from making connections with the vendors to learning more about their products. Ultimately, she wants everyone to have a successful and enjoyable time at the show.

Five Tips for Navigating Market Successfully

"The Wesa March Show: A Heart of Service and a Wholesale Market in Dallas"

QUOTE #1If you're interested in coming to market or learning more about market or being a VIP Boot Babe, make sure that you click HERE .

QUOTE #2If you're going to market, I just wanted to give you five simple tips that will really save your life. I watched a girl do this on TikTok this morning. And she gave great tips but she didn't really go into depth. She was like, plan your day well. How do you plan your day? Well, let me tell you, you should plan on seeing anywhere from three to four showrooms a day that you plan out. So you should go to the floor plan that's on the World Trade Center, floor plan that's on the Wesa web page. You should decide. These are the four that I'm going to see today.

QUOTE #3Every single company is here, from Lucchese to Corral to anybody from Scully and Twisted, x and Ferrini and Dan Post, Justin boots, Laredo, Old Gringo is here. Lane is here. There's another company that I love that is called Agave Sky. If you haven't heard of them, they are here. Blackjack boots is here. TannerMark Boots are here. I mean, the list goes on. So if you're not familiar with cowboy boot brands or you need to learn about them, or you are interested in being part of the Boot Babe Posse, click here. The posse is part of the community that we're cultivating through Western Fashion behind the scenes, there are so many women out there who love cowboy boots and realize that the Western way of life and the Western culture is dying.
11 Apr 2023Rancher Hats: How Stay At Home Mom Hope Benton Found Her Calling in Western Fashion00:12:33
Welcome! You are invited to enjoy this episode brought to you by TheBootBabes.com VIP POSSE

"Explore The Wild West Of Rancer Hats With Hope Benton Of Hippie Ranch Creations"

Hope Benton is the owner of Hippie Ranch Creations, who makes her living by drawing pretty designs on rancher hats. Hope talks about her life and her business, which has gained a lot of attention on TikTok recently. She reveals how her passion for western fashion has enabled her to make a living by customizing and designing rancher hats. Hope discusses the current trends in Western fashion, and how fun it is to get to know cowgirls! She also shares her experiences of running her own business and the difficulties that come with it.

Overall, the podcast highlighted Hope’s passion for Western fashion and her success in the industry. The speaker recently got into creating art on rancher hats in October and has been in business for a little over a year. She started their business to be a stay at home mom and started off painting on canvases. They then moved to t-shirts, but found it to be a gamble, so they wanted to marry her love of the western lifestyle with art and came up with drawing on rancher hats. In the past year they have sold around 350 hats, with 300 of them being hand drawn and designed. That is almost one a day since October. In this conversation, the speaker is discussing their journey of becoming a successful Western fashion influencer. They have been doing this since October and have created two hats a day for six months. They have gained most of their business from TikTok and other social media platforms. Hippie Ranch Creations has events coming up in Arkansas, such as the Marshall Gate Plantation Mother's Day event and the Clinton Chuck Wagon Races labor day weekend. They also have an upcoming event in Nashville, the Women in AG event. See all her events at the bottom of the page here : https://hippieranchcreations.com/

When asked who her dream collaboration would be, Hope mentioned Laney Wilson and Tanya Tucker. Hope also emphasizes the importance of staying true to yourself and treating people with respect. Hope & Ashley advise not to sell products to people, but rather create relationships with them and let them follow your journey. Hope is a stay-at-home mama who sells custom hats.

She advises others to use storytelling to sell their products, as it is an effective approach. Her big dream is to open a warehouse and store, while still being able to stay at home with her children. Production challenges come from the length of time it takes to burn each hat, but she has seen success in selling out within three minutes of releasing her hats online.
On average, her hats range from $30-$500

Conversation with Hope Benton : Discussing Business Plans and Production Challenges

Hopes that Tanya Tucker will want one of her hats!

"I have these two really big events coming up in August and September. My big dream is to build a warehouse and start slowly by doing probably private parties and maybe venture into wholesale just a little bit and get into hat shaping. Just open up a big store and still continue to be a stay at home mama. So I guess wherever business kind of leads me with that. I've got plans for six months from now and I've got plans maybe a year from now too, but things 360 real quick in a small business. So hopefully one day I can open up a storefront." Hope Benton - Hippie Ranch Creations

"There is room in the small business community for everyone. There is room in the Western world for everyone. I think not selling products, just talking to people and treating people like people instead of customers, and just being yourself. My huge thing all my life has always been old, old country music. I'm George Jones, Tammy Wynett. I mean, Tanya Tucker, the old, old people. And you just stay true to who you are. And then eventually your customers will come and they will follow your journey and listen to the stories that you have to tell. And you'll find your little group of people or customers, they will come to you. So don't sell a product to people. Just tell stories and have fun with it and then say, oh, by the way, I sell X, Y and Z." Hope Benton - Hippie Ranch Creations

"Well, my first viral viral video was Replying Back to the Holler Annie from the, you know, the band the Pistol Annie's. I did a Pistol Annie inspired hat, and she commented that she loved it. And then I made a video replying Back to her comment, and then I started talking about how I love The Pistol Annie's and old country music and Marty Stewart. And it wasn't super viral, but over 700,000 views is pretty big for me." Hope Benton - Hippie Ranch Creations

"Well, when I first started my business last January, I actually had a pre me baby. We'll just go back to that. So I started a business to be a stay at home mom and stay at home with him. And I started painting on canvases. I've always loved flowers. And then I got into T shirts, and T shirts are just so up and down. It's such a gamble to be a t shirt business. And the beginning of last October, I thought, well, how can I take the Western lifestyle that I like and then also being an artist and marry those two together? And then I guess I started drawing on rancher hats, and here I am." Hope Benton - Hippie Ranch Creations

Show Quote From Brittany:
What to do if you'r feeling overwhelmed and defeated?
"I think the first thing that you should do is not to do everything all at once. Start super, super, super, super small, do one thing and then gradually build. I've been doing 15 minute workouts every single day, and then the protein thing but another thing that you could do is listening to podcasts in the morning and doing ad from affirmations, getting your mindset straight. Because if you're in bed, hyping yourself up while you're getting ready, you're gonna conquer the day, like you're just going to conquer the day, I've always thought of the things that like working out, like doing good things that are that'll benefit me is just something that we have to do in life, but I get to work out. I get to go hunting, I get to do this. And it's why not why not do more? start out small off it doesn't work do something different"

13 Jun 2023Unveiling Indigenous Fashion: Montana Designer Rebecca Jarvey's Inspiring Journey00:12:09
See Rebekah's Line Here : https://rebekahjarvey.com

Fashion takes center stage as Rebekah Jarvey, an Indigenous designer from Montana, shares her inspiring journey and her powerful expression of culture through her new fashion line. Rebekah's presence at the Cannes Indigenous Arts and Fashion Festival in France marks a significant milestone in her career.
Rebekah's line is a stunning representation of her Indigenous heritage, infused with contemporary aesthetics and vibrant neons. As a lover of fashion from a young age, Rebekah's creative journey began with designing clothes for her Barbie dolls. However, it was in 2020 that she made the transition into the industry as a designer, driven by her innate passion for fashion and her desire to make a meaningful impact.
Born and raised on the Chippewa Cree tribe reservation in Rocky Boy, Montana, Rebekah draws strength and inspiration from her Indigenous roots. Her line serves as a vehicle for sharing her culture with the world, challenging stereotypes, and breaking away from traditional cultural colors. By embracing bold and unconventional color palettes such as pink and neon green, she pushes the boundaries of Indigenous fashion, redefining the notion of contemporary Indigenous artistry.
Rebekah's line not only showcases her unique design aesthetic but also serves as a platform for educating others about the history and struggles of Indigenous peoples. She acknowledges the painful legacy of residential schools, where her great-grandparents and grandparents were subjected to severe abuse.
