We popped in "The Right Connections", the quintessential long lost made for TV hip hop movie of the 90s! This inspiring tale features MC Hammer teaching a bunch of white kids to sing and dance in order to win a cash prize at the Third Annual Hip Hop Contest to fund their mother's scholarly ambitions. Nope, this isn't a retelling of a late night erotic art piece on the scrambled Spice Network; this is Daniel Stern's 1995 cult classic Bushwhacked! Is this movie a true adaptation of the classic video game from which it's based on? Who knows, but it kicks ass regardless. This movie has it all, Evil Guy Fieri, Reptilian Samurai, Dookie Water, other stuff, and more! If you wanted Escape from LA to be an hour an a half longer then Double Dragon is the answer to your weird sad prayer. You voted and we delivered. Here it is, the fan picked episode Gremlins 2: The New Batch. Arguably this is Howie Mandel's greatest role to date as he provides the voice for Gizmo who of course gets water on him and pops out one of the best sequels ever made. The only thing the original Gremlins was missing was a Bat Gremlin, Vegetable Gremlin, Electricity Gremlin, an intellectual English speaking Gremlin, a talking building, a musical number, inter-species Gremlin+Human love making, more Dick Miller, more Hulk Hogan, and more the dude from The Burbs. We watched Uwe Boll's interpretation of House of the Dead and we answered many questions, but ended up asking more. Were they still printing VHS in 2003? Yes. Was Sega Saturn still relevant in 2003? No. Did anybody besides Topher own a Sega Saturn? Who knows. One of our favorite childhood videos games hit the small screen and, much like the zombies in the movie, we relive the pain and suffering brought on by House of the Dead. But don't tell Uwe Boll or hell kick our asses in a boxing match.

To end our summer themed movies we watched Heavyweights with VHS superstar Tapes Of Wrath (Michael Ewing)!!! You thought Angela was scary in Sleepaway Camp 2. No counselor is as scary as fat camp entrepreneur Tony Perkins, played by Ben Stiller. Devil logs, deli meats, and random ass Apache relays don't stand a chance against Tony and his evil gang of maybe-Austrian counselors. He bought up the camp and is determined to change the entire team of The Mighty Ducks from fat to... less fat.

Dan Aykroyd and Daniel Stern kidnap Ohio Jazz player Damon Wayans so the Celtics will finally win the NBA Championship.

This holiday season grab a cup of eggnog and toss those earphones on in front of your light-strung tree as the Bandits bring you back to Nickelodeon in 1990 with the Eureeka's Caste Christmas Special. When a kid discovers a wish-granting machine, he accidentally turns his old man into...INVISIBLE DAD! The VHS Bandits have seen the future and it isn't real... It's Virtual, but also still real. Real enough anyway for Belly, I mean, Billy Blanks to kick some ass. It's up to him and also some other dude, and also a Sonya Blade rip off, to defeat the evil Virtual Arts Academy, the subsidiary of ITT Tech where the students master in becoming virtual (but also real) assassins! Child World and Children's Palace were toy stores back in the 80s and 90s and, unlike Toys R Us, they went bankrupt and out of business before it was cool. This week we watched their promotional tape full of 1990  goodness and a rapping creepazoid named Robo T. in the tape group of kids produce their own TV show which is just a bunch of toy commercials because they're sellouts and have no qualms about compromising their art.

This week we watched a film with a title just as long and just as confusing as the movie itself, Secret Adventures: Snap, How to Act like an almost Responsible-Adult. Now with a title like that, you'd probably assume it would be an educational video teaching you how to be more independent. Well, you'd be wrong because it's actually about a talking toaster speaking to a girl who loses children that she's supposed to be babysitting but instead brings them along into her acid trip transforming them into cartoon dogs. Now that's a secret adventure, enjoy!

Finding an Easter special on VHS can be like an egg hunt...but boy did we find the golden (or rotten) egg!

The beloved beer gut buffoon cartoon character Baby Huey is back and this time in his first and only live action home videocassette. And it's a musical...well the second half is. A Las Vegas sleazeball duo and Nazi middle school science teacher are trying to kidnap and exploit Baby Huey (just like in the Sesame Street movie Follow That Bird). It's up to a guy in a giant duck costume to keep breaking things obliviously in order to save Easter! It's a kooky bananas off the rails holiday special that doesn't mention anything about the actual holiday at all. Happy Easter Zombie Jesus, everybody!

This week we had a blast from our own past and watched Kick Ass Wrestling: School's Out. What is KAW? It was an early 2000s backyard wrestling promotion put on by high schoolers in Shrewsbury, MA. Two of the premiere wrestlers involved were none other than your hosts KevBot and Topher Hansson, although this episode was before their time. Join us for a shitload of DDTs, an indestructible plywood table, and karaoke machine commentators as we relive the glory days of Kick Ass Wrestling!
