These are just some of the amazing facts about mushrooms that Julian Mitchell shared with me in this episode of Unstoppable. Julian is the CEO of Life Cykel, an evolutionary focused mycelium biotechnology company, whose mission is to enable people and the environment to grow healthier with mushrooms. He co-founded Life Cykel with Ryan Creed in 2015 and rapidly grew their business by focusing on producing the highest quality bioavailable full spectrum mushroom liquid extracts as well as some of the highest quality mushroom products.

They offer an incredible range of products and services for health and planetary harmony, all consisting of the humble mushroom. They have liquid extracts, mushroom powder, mushroom protein, and even grow kits that give people the opportunity to grow their own mushrooms at home. Life Cykel also works closely with the National Mushroom Network, Mushroom honey, and Beemunity, products that support the immunity of bees.

Life Cykel has been featured in a range of media including  Channel 9, the Sydney Morning Herald, The Joe Rogan Experience, SBS and Beauticate. 27 Sep 2020How to produce tasty meat without killing animals | Michael Fox | Unstoppable #11200:57:21

Can you imagine eating tacos, curry or even a cheeseburger without meat? If you said “absolutely not”, think again, because you’re about to hear how it is possible to enjoy everything that is delicious about eating meat, all without animal products.

In this episode of Unstoppable, I speak to Michael Fox, CEO of Fable Food Co, a company that provides meat alternatives that taste exactly like meat, but without harming animals.

He became vegetarian in 2015 for environmental, health and ethical reasons but didn’t want to give up on the “Steak of Glory”. For this reason, with the help of two mushroom geeks, each on their own journey to make meat-like products for plant lovers, they created food using ingredients that are as minimally processed as possible. These products are based on shitake mushrooms which make up ⅔ of the ingredients used on the list. On top of that, Fable also provides maximum nutritional value, with minimal environmental impact.

Michael is one of three business partners and their company have high certifications in the sciences behind mushroom, permaculture, biodynamics and regenerative farming systems, and biomimicry of fungi. Nowadays, you can find Fable products in popular convenience stores across Australia.

This episode definitely will trigger your curiosity and will make you think about the food choices we make. Whether you’re a vegetarian or not, you can’t miss this one!

04 Oct 2020From the navy to the business world | Anthony Richardson | Unstoppable #11300:45:15

In this episode of Unstoppable, I speak with former Royal Australian Navy Sailor and founder of AUSFIT and Q83, Anthony Richardson.

After 11 years as a mine warfare specialist, Anthony started manufacturing his fitness product out of necessity. The bars they used for training were too long and required peripherals, like clips and weights. These bars were not designed to be used outdoors and often rusted on the outdoor decks of the ships.

This motivated Anthony to formulate a product that could resolve all these problems; his own version of a torsion bar. He focused on anti-roll capability and portability, but also rust resistance, and the rest is history. His product was a success. They have sold over 10,000 units just in Australia and now sell to the military and gyms in Britain, the USA and New Zealand.

In 2018 Anthony released an independent tool that allows social publishers to create live, interactive media kits for brands and agencies named Q-83, which is now servicing over 100 brands and agencies.

Anthony’s journey as an entrepreneur is a must-listen for anyone looking to build a company through creative problem-solving.
