21 Sep 2022Could Workplace Flexibility Be Your Competitive Advantage? with Dr. Erin Mires00:41:58

According to McKinsey, The mass transition to remote work in March 2020 upended long-held norms surrounding where work can be done. However, true flexibility is much bigger than the freedom to work remotely, and many organizations still miss the mark.

The alternative is to risk losing people and failing to attract crucial talent. Among people who temporarily left the workforce, their top reason for returning was workplace flexibility (44 percent).

Hear the conversation with Dr. Erin Mires, an impactful leadership development expert, Air Force Veteran, a mother of 3 young children, and Founder & CEO of Evolve Coaching & Consulting. Dr. Mires empowers others to live their best lives by creating sustainable balance and global impact through coaching, consulting, workshops, and seminars.

Worry not, though, because just like any other thing in this world, what you’re feeling has an explanation to it. In this episode, Dr. Kevin Sansberry is joined by rehabilitation counselor, Shoshana Marcus, to talk about working with clients who suffer from burnout brought about by the physical, emotional, and psychological impact of helping others. Shoshana shares about her approach to mental wellbeing and how she helps people around the world through YouTube and other similar initiatives. Listen in as Shoshana discusses more about therapeutic-based techniques she uses to help patients relax and deregulate the things they’re going through.

25 May 2022From Harvard Law To Suicidal Ideation, Toxicity In The Legal Industry W/ Julian Sarafian00:37:30

Going to work every day can be tiring and lead to stress and burnout. Anxiety and depression are very serious health issues that we must address and become aware of. Much like our guest, Julian Sarafian, who already had panic attacks in college and didn't even know he had social anxiety. Then he worked at a big law firm that earned him a lot, which used to be his goal. However, he realized that although you can make more money in the legal industry, pressure and stress are present. In this episode, he shares the importance of prioritizing mental health over money. He emphasizes that focusing on our well-being is essential. Now he is advocating for mental health on different platforms where his content focuses on the importance of mental health in the workplace and academic world.

19 Oct 2023Essentials for Early Career Leaders w/ Alyssa Kropp00:27:08

About Alyssa

Hi there, I'm Alyssa.

I know a lot of moms start by saying they're moms but really, that's my favorite title. So I'll start there.

I love people and have a passion for their stories and development. I don't get stressed by a lot. I truly believe everything is working in my favor and trust in God's greater plan for my life.

My professional background is 15+ years in sales, 10+ years in sales leadership. I've been on large teams like Viacom, small startups and everything in between.

In 2019, I started to toy with the idea of leadership coaching. I had always lead engaged, overperforming teams and wanted to replicate my secret sauce to other leaders. In 2022, I got the push to get my coaching certification and have been working with leaders ever since.

I mention my ability to stay calm in times if stress because I believe this is what distinguishes great leaders. The ability to stay clam, to reframe stressful events, to understand your reaction is all work I do with leaders in my 1:1 coaching. Knowing how important this is, I created a resource exclusively for the Toxic Leadership Audience which can be found here: https://view.flodesk.com/pages/64e667398ae79e9ed264b418

28 Sep 2022Exploring Socio-Economic Inequality with Mark Talley00:36:00

Mark Talley is the son of Geraldine C. Talley, who was killed in the Tops shooting by a white supremacist on May 14th, 2022. Prior to this date, Mark just went along through the trials and tribulations of life believing there was nothing he could do, he was just powerless.

Afraid of what he would say or do, Mark just started volunteering everywhere he could on Jefferson Ave for the next several months to channel his emotion. After doing all this volunteering, Mark started feeling an urge to become more of a community leader / social advocate. This led to him forming his own nonprofit “Agents for Advocacy” and organizing his first charitable event on July 7th, 2022 “The Community BBQ and Prayer”. Mark in collaboration with others was able to serve over 700 hotdogs and hamburgers along with providing bags of fresh produce, gifts, appliances, and meats. On April 28th Agents for Advocacy organized a back-to-school drive in which over 500+ children were provided backpacks, calculators, pens/pencils, folders, and notebooks. Currently, Agents for Advocacy is raising funds to provide a Thanksgiving for the homeless.

Danielle Gibson is a Confrontation Expert and High-Performance Coach. Her definition of confrontation is “to get out of your own way so you can deal directly with someone or something you’ve been avoiding out of fear, " which is the biggest thing holding you back.

Not being confrontational keeps you small, holds you back and often causes the demise of relationships, personally and professionally. Being confrontational can also prevent the conflict most people are scared will come from confrontation.

Danielle partners with Founders, Entrepreneurs and Execs who are stuck in a mundane, unrewarding cycle to help break them free. She helps them in areas like Difficult Conversations, Being more Assertive/Direct, Speaking up, Saying NO, Boundary setting (helps prevent burnout,) money conversations (asking for more,) Public Speaking /

Connecting better during presentations,) and much more. In doing so, she helps her clients get what they want, not just what they think they can get, so they can move toward a truly authentic life they can live on their terms!
