This sesh I'm smoking Pedro's Sweet Sativa by Color Cannabis, it's a 20% Sativa.  I'm also trying out a drink that's been recommended a few times.  Blood Orange, Yuzu and vanilla sparkling juice, by Collective Project.  It has 10mg of Thc and 10mg of Cbd.  

Have you ever seen an octopus hunt?  Beetles power slam each other? or heard a penguin slap?  trust me it's totally worth it.  I've been watching a lot of animal fight club on Disney.  You should too. Between animal beatings, I've been reading some books that have helped me flip my way of thinking.  So far it seems to be working.  We'll see in the long run though.

This week on Thoughts Off The Stem, Tyler joins me again for another one of our super awesome cloud filled seshisodes. Starting off the show with some CBG drinks and a hit of Msiku's Frozen Lemons in the Stundenglass we cover a few different topics but mostly spend the time remembering what we were talking about and having all the laughs possible. This week on Thoughts Off The Stem, we're talking about being an adult. The balance between maturity and fun. As we age we forget what it's like to be a kid. we fall in to our responsibilities and we loose sight of what's important. Sure i understand that we have to take care of our obligations and be leaders to our children. I don't necessarily believe that we have to do it in a stuffy and so called proper manner. I think that we can have fun and take care of business. However I find myself in a pretty consistent debate about my level of fun and silliness. I have been dating a lovely woman who is definitely to good for me. She is very proper and particular about how she conducts herself and what she expects of those around her. I'm an anomaly to her, I think. Where I'm 80% silly and childish. She's 80% serious and mature. She believes there is a time and place for everything. Often that means I have to stop making silly voices or acting like a child. Though I don't disagree, I do think that most adults try to stifle their silly. When I was a kid I would imagine what it would be like, to be an adult. Now as an adult I find most are trying to find their childhood again. I vowed early on in life that I would make a conscious effort to maintain a sense of childish fun. As we get older we lose our wonder. Everything is new and exciting as a kid. There are many experiences that haven't been had and when they are the tastes, smells, feels of that experience stay with you and give you that warm and fuzzy feeling. I think that as an adult our goal should be to maintain that feeling. So instead of being 80% serious and 20% childish. That should be flipped. This week on Thoughts Off The Stem I had some guests.  Three of my former co-workers/friends/sesh buddies and generaly awesome humans.  I'd like to thank Nathan, Ewa and Tyler for joining the show.    

We smoked so much, way to much to list here. This week on Thoughts Off The Stem we're having a proper sesh! It's been a while since our last sesh and Tyler and I are going all in with concentrates and a hash infused home roll, that Tyler brought over. You may have also noticed the new intro. Again, a big THANK YOU goes out to Tyler for hooking me up. Since this is the first sesh of the new year, I decided we needed to try out a few concentrates I was able to get my hands on. We're starting the podcast off with a few flips of the Stunden Glass. Fully loaded with Pink Panties by Pistol and Paris, over laying some Alaskan TF by Vortex. It was a great way to start the show. Pink Panties is a 1 g 78% THC diamonds and sauce extract. I found it had a slight sativa lean, with a laid back hybrid vibe. Alaskan TF is straight up sleepy time Indica. Don't worry during the podcast I give the full details of trying Alaskan TF for the first time. In great detail i might add. So you know what you're getting into. Tyler hits us up with a home rolled Cherry AK joint, infused with Carmel's Animal Face hash. Turns out it paired nicely with the concentrates. This sesh was a good one. This sesh I'm smoking Gorilla Berry by the GreenSeal. It's a 23% Thc Indica. It's heavy, has a rich smoke with a berry after taste. It will put you to sleep if you let it. It does mix well with Do-Si-Do Shatter from Dymond Concentrates. That's right we got into the Yocan pen again and it really did help balance the high from the Gorilla Berry. For this sesh we are joind by Beau who finally dropped by the show again. It's been a while because he's not a big fan of the cold and it's been chilly in the garage in the winter. But now that the temperature has jumped up a bit, it's much more bareable. One day we'll get into a real studio, fingers crossed. Everyone know's someone that goes deep down the rabbit hole. You know the ones. They think everything the government does is evil and controlling. The type of person that thinks that, only the news they are privy to, is the right information. They spout off all day about how the government is trying to deceive you. How covid was a mass experiment designed to asses the worlds governments ability to control the population, on mass. This type of paranoia doesn't normally go hand in hand with the concept of inserting a chip in to your brain. In fact, having a Neuralink implanted pretty much voids all previous worry that the government is out to control you, doesn't it? With everything we know about media, propaganda and government influence. It doesn't concern you that one of, if not the, smartest people on the planet wants to chip us all. Sure you can say it's in an effort to progress humanity and develop a global consciousness. But if we've learned anything from any sci-fi movie ever. It should probably be that, the guy who wants to chip us may have some nefarious plans. Seriously this would potentially make us human puppets. This week on Thoughts Off The Stem, we figured since we talk about hash enough, it's time we smoke some on the show. So we loaded up the G-pen Connect in the Stundenglass with a nice little ball of hash in an attempt to see how it would smoke. In this sesh we tried out Divvy's Blueberry Hash along with a few pre rolls and some concentrates in the Yocan Pillar. I took a nutropic before the show because I have always wondered if they work and whether or not they would melt my brain. A lot of neurologists do state that the effects of nutropics are no more than the placebo effect. There are a few who recognize that some of the compounds in a nutropics ingredients may provide some neurological health benefits. Kinda funny considering, that in this day and age some doctors are starting to recognize that some of the components that make up cannabis may also provide some health benefits. What I'm saying is, it's kind of funny to me, that we are so hesitant to recognize and accept the capabilities of natural health aids. It's a little sad that our nutrition has basically devolved in to eating edible paste in a multitude of forms. I'm starting to understand why people see the future of humanity as us evolving in to grey alien looking beings with the ability to telepathically communicate. We as a society are so driven by profit that we operate like a Miami coke dealers from the 80's. Lets import the best foods then step on it several times and cut it with whatever will raise profits. Forget what it does to the population. Who care's if customers drop dead or suffer major health issues. They don't know it but they need food pumped full of preservatives, hormones and steroids. This sesh was super fun. Maybe it was the nutropics, maybe it was the weed or maybe it was the mix of the two but my brain was working with a level of focus that I haven't felt in a long time. The conversation seemed to run a little more smoothly. Even though we smoked copious amounts of marijuana I noticed there was no real lull or space outs in the conversation. Placebo effect or not there seemed to be a notable difference in my brains ability to function and stay focused. Doesn't that mean that the Placebo effect may also be a positive health benefit? This week on Thoughts Off The Ste, I got glasses. That's right! It's official I'm old. For those that don't need glasses. You really don't know what you can't see until you can see. I know someone can relate to this. Now that I can see clearly. Lets talk about what makes a good producer. It isn't about who's got the best font or most noticeable packaging. It's not about how much shelf space you can get. Definitely don't dress it up with gimmicks. We're potheads, not dummies. We'll notice after our first sesh. It's really about knowing and understanding your limitations. This week I've got the perfect example of a product from a company that tried way to hard and crumbled during the review. So I'm giving you the first bad review in Thoughts Off The Stem history. It's bad. Really Bad. So is our elderly population man. They are getting resentful, self-centered and down right disrespectful. I thought we were supposed to learn from our elders. Not get berated by them. Some of these people really took the "I put my time in" statement to heart. I've noticed an up swing of rude behaviour coming from a generation we're supposed to look up to and quite frankly they should know better. Hope you Enjoy the Sesh!

This Seshisode of Thoughts Off The Stem, I'm trying something a little different. We're tripping around the world and taking a look at some of the more ridiculous laws I could find. To do that properly I need a mash up of sativa's to keep me lifted and inquisitive. In the bong I've got a mix of Jealousy from Black Market at 23% THC, I think, and some Cuban Linx from Tribal (Not Nugz, like I say at the beginning of the podcast) at 27% THC. This sesh I'm smoking Pedro's Sweet Sativa, by Color.  It is a 19-20% Thc Sativa, with a 2% Terpene profile that makes it smoke more like a 25% bud.  It tastes sweet, smokes full and smells like that weed you used to get as a kid.  I paired it with a little shatterizer shatter in the Yocan Armor pen.  The shaterizer shatter is a full gram for less than $50.  It has a 69% Thc content, but again, because of the terpene profile it smokes closer to an 80%.  Because of the terps, it's also pliable.  Unlike most shatters it doesn't break break and snap like other kinds.  It peels, so you can roll it into a ball like hash and add it to a join or just enjoy it in a dab rig or on top of the flower in your bong.  It is a very versatile shatter.

Also Some times you do make bad decisions on weed.  I once signed up for a boxing class, the kicker was, the only physically activity I had for the 4 years prior to joining, was getting up to go to the fridge and smoking poppers all day.  Oh! I would also walk to my dealers house.  What I'm saying is a full time popper smoker does not belong in a high intensity boxing class as a reintroduction to fitness.  

In the Weed Facts segment, we are talking about times people got too high and did some silly stuff.  So they aren't so much facts as cautionary tales.  In the Dude For Real segment we discuss a few things that might make you question your faith in Humanity.

These people are definitely tougher than me. I'm pretty sure they are tougher than you and you won't believe the stuff they did to escape the jaws of some of the most ferocious animals on the planet.We've got a guy who bit a python, a woman who fought off a tiger with garden tools, a woman who saved her husband from a mountain lion with a ball point pen, a taxidermist who stangled a cougar and guy who beat up a tiger with his bike. There's a few more on the list but you get the point. We can't be to sure about how tough we really are until we meet that kind of adversity.Since we are discussing a train wreck mindset and reading stories of insanely tough individuals. I thought it would be fitting to tell you a little bit about how this seshisode came to be. It was full of adversity and problems. Took me 5 attempts to record and a mess of a show to sift through to find the better points I made. So hopefully my mistakes and the issues I encountered in creating this sesh give you a little something relatable. I know it's not on the level of being half way down a sharks throat and stabbing your way out, but it's adversity none the less. This week on Thoughts Off The Stem we're talking about the fact that the Ontario Cannabis Store has a 500 million dollar stock pile of cash. What's concerning about this is, that when marijuana was legalized for recreational consumption, part of the deal was that in Ontario the OCS would give back a portion to the government in order to help fund government and city services in Ontario. Meaning that there could be an influx of cash injected into Ontarios economic infrastructure, education system and our healthcare system. These are just a few of the areas we badly need a financial boost. As a country and as a province we are all struggling financially to keep up with an astonishingly rapid rate of inflation, unaffordable housing along with the inability to put an acceptable and filling amount of food on our tables. This government clearly doesn't care about anything but their pockets and we shouldn't be ok with that. This is just my opinion obviously but it would be really hard for anyone out there to convince me otherwise at this point. How, as leaders of anything can you have huge all encompassing financial burden, spread thick across your population and do nothing with a 500 million dollar surplus? You made this available to yourself when writing legislation during the legalization of a new industry, that you knew would potentially put mass amounts of funds back into the infrastructure of the province. Our current government seemingly doesn't care to fix the mess it's made unless it benefits individual members of congress. Our current administration has given us a full middle finger salute by ineffectively managing the province and the country. The fact that they are willing to leave 500 million dollars in a bank account while our education, healthcare and food sectors are falling deeper into financial ruin, screams they don't care about alleviating the financial burden they imposed on Canadian citizens. I didn't realize how much this mattered or angered me until I read an article on mjbiz.com that outlined exactly what's going on with this 500 million dollar surplus. It's aggravating and baffling that giving that surplus back was built into the structure of legalized cannabis in Ontario and not one politician has come to their senses enough to ask for what is theirs/ours. Mean while a bag of apples now cost $8.99. Our government is clearly a joke at this point. A college kid out on their own for the first time can do a better job of budgeting than these clowns. New bong same herb.  Starting it off this Sesh with a massive bong hit full of Citrus Skunk by Green Seal.  It's a 24% THC sativa.  Hits you right in the eyes man.  Todays pre-roll is an un rated tester join by Simply Bare Organics.  It's definitely a hybrid, gets you nice and Mello with any earthy yet berry flavour.  It was tasty and did the trick for sure.

I don't know if you've ever been to a work related function hella high, but I did.  Recently the Kind winter fair was held in Toronto.  Being a budtender/shift lead I as lucky enough to get a ticket to day two.  Kind is the most popular cannabis magazine Canada at the moment.  They have been holding these festival/party/convention/trade show functions since 2020 I believe.  It's basically a place for industry people to schmooze try new products, get new products and pick the brains of their favourite growers.  

The best part of this whole situation was the expectation that you enjoy the experience to the fullest by testing everything.  It was the first time I got to fully enjoy a work function so high that a blow up igloo had my equilibrium all messed while I discussed the development process of one of my new favourite strains.  Black Markets Peanutbutter Mac.  It's one of the craziest getting high experiences I've had in a long time.  The whole conversation I spent it mentally trying to stop myself from floating away and it was perfectly acceptable.  

It was quite the experience especially when you take into account I had eaten 140 mg of edibles on an empty stomach about 20 min before entering the venue.  Dude when I say I was in my own little world I mean I was bopping to music that only played in my head.  My legs felt like slinkies and I didn't recognize any of the scenery on the walk back to our car.

This week's thoughts off the stem are inspired by mystery weed. It's a home grown sample I was given by a co-worker. It was surprisingly nice. I have no idea what the thc content was. Maybe low 20's. It might have been an indica, but it definitely hyped me up so maybe hybrid? I'm not sure. I can tell you it was a nice dense nug that had a sweeter flavour. It was trimmed well and smoked smooth. I ended up smoking that in the bong, the whole episode. A side from home grown I'm also highlighting a new accessory I picked up. The Davinci Artiq. It's a vape battery for your 510 cartridge. It's a pretty awesome little vaporizer. The cart actually goes in the battery casing for discrete puffage. I decided use my Jungle Fruit vape cart by Explore and show you folks how this dealy works. It's super compact, pulls nice clouds, lasts a long time and delivers great flavour. We all like a good conspiracy theory right? Well light up something fun and lets dive into some of the dumber conspiracy theories I could find. Everything from lizard overlords, to alien redheads and satanic rituals performed with buckets of ice. These could possibly be the silliest theories out there. This rabbit hole of conspiracies lead down a path to weaponized animals. I think there needs to be more discussion about this. I'm not a social justice warrior by any stretch, nor am I going to hop a dingy with peta to try and stop a whaling ship. However I do think that encorporating animals into our defensive insanity is not a good move. There really shouldn't be a need to have animals do our bidding. This episodes Weed Facts revolve around an article about members of the cannabis industry meeting with Justin Trudeau to discuss changes they would like the government of Canada to make in order to progress the industry. The resounding answer was to remove the unnecessary and excessive financial burden the system has imposed. Hopefully the discussion actually yields some change. We need it.

Another aspect to some of the issues the industry faces is the capping of edibles. Meaning edibles can't be potent, basically. Adults want to be able to choose for themselves. They don't want to be told what to do. This is a case where in essence we are being treated like kids. I get the concern of kids getting hold of some infused candy, but really isn't that our responsibility as good parents. To educate and create awareness around the things we do and the reasons we do them?

This week on Thoughts Off The Stem, it's the 100th Seshisode.  Celebrate 100 episodes with Beau and I.  Join us for a constant cloud and 100 minutes of consecutive puffing.  

To start the sesh off right we have some Cuban Linx by Tribal at 27.7% THC, in the bong, which I hit a couple times.  I've also rolled up a few more Cuban Linx joints that we smoke through.  In between the Cuban Linx rolls, we smoke some Mocha OG by Green Seal at 24%THC.  The theme of the sesh was Sativa as everything we smoked needed to keep us energized.  It worked mostly.  

As we worked our way through some really potent petals we discussed a variety of topics.  We started off discussing what it would be like to take a cruise, how big the ships are and the fact that it's basically an island with a destination.  Which leads nicely into Beau's scuba diving story which sounded like a great time.  I really hope his cruise goes well.  

I gave Beau the opportunity to tell his side of the stand up comedy club story.  I had discussed it on a previous episode and wanted to give him the opportunity to explain his perspective on the situation.  

Since we're having a smoke sesh celebration.  Of course I have to explain how dab rigs work.  Because of course I'm going to do a dab and I'm trying some diamonds in the yocan orbit.  I'm telling you, it's the perfect portable dab rig.  

Once the high started to set in we got all educational and talked about my experience with Slaughter House 5, the Kurt Vonnegut book.  Here's a hint, it involved a lot of weed and resulted in a completely changed perspective.  

We let you know our favourite types of weed, the reasons we liked indica's, sativa's and hybrids.  The differences between the highs and how Thc percentage doesn't really matter if you have a well cultivated plant.  We also take some time to review what we're smoking.  

As mentioned before we were smoking, Cuban linx, Mocha OG, but I am also adding in Wagners Blue Lime Pie Diamonds, in the yocan orbit.  Nugz Fresh Frozen Hash Resin, in the dab rig and Live Resin Hash from Green Seal in the journey pipe.    

We had to add in a little talk about what accessories help us achieve the ultimate smoking experience.  If I'm smoking joints it's gotta be glass tips.  There is a huge difference in flavour and experience when you use them.

This week on Thoughts off The Stem, We're talking about the things you should Never do on a first date! If you follow the podcast, you know that I date from time to time. Most dates I've been on involve a discussion of the worst dates we've had. It's an ice breaker. It helps with finding common ground. There's some real weirdo's out there. With all that in mind we decided to give our opinion on some of the weirdest first date encounters, that we found on line. So buckle up for some really amazing first date moments. What we learned is that Dudes are really weird about what we think is attractive to women. We're willing to and say some really offside things in an effort to try and attract the opposite sex. We also learned that, women will put up with a lot to find their sole mate. Dudes can almost do anything wrong and most women will give them at least a second chance. Where as Dudes will put up with very little. In most of the cases in this episode the men left the date as soon as the interaction turned weird. Whether it be an off putting past relationship story, weird behaviour or some kind of outlandish statement. The guys shut the date down immediately. I think that's the biggest difference between the sexes. Women will wait to see. Men feel like they deserve better than they do. Which leads guys saying the most outlandish stuff. This week on Thoughts Off The Stem. We are talking about corporate greed in the weed industry. The level of greed in the weed industry is astronomical, but I guess it's just a reflection of the societal greed we see on a personal level, every day on social media. In Canada the weed industry is a budding industry new to the game and I understand that the people involved want to see massive and extreme growth very quickly. The problem with that, is that, while try to expand at a rapid pace. These corporations tend to make major missteps, which lead to quite a few operational mistakes. I think this comes from a lack of experience by the heads of these companies to understand the legitimate market. I say this because, in the canadian cannabis industry, there are quite a few business owners that started out on the black market. Their success there, doesn't necessarily translate to a legitimate business. They are still trying to operate with an underground mindset. I'm sure there is room for some of those practices to help grow these companies, however, there needs to be a shift in the quality of leadership within the cannabis industry. Hope you enjoy the sesh! I have been accused of having a  weed addiction.  I'm not so sure that weed is physically addictive.  I think it's a mental dependency.  What do you think?

I'm still smoking Citrus Skunk by Green Seal to open the show.  What can I say?  When I find something I like I'm loyal.  Also, it's just a really great sativa.  It comes in at a solid 24% THC.  Today's pre-roll is the very tasty Peach Rings by General Admission.  A resin infused, keif wrapped half gram joint.  I'm pretty sure it's a hybrid with a sativa lean.  It certainly sativa'd me up.  It was 38% THC and super tasty.

This week Justin and Tyler are discussing TikTok culture and work ethic. Each generation is obviously different from the one before it. With the constant need for technological advancement, human interaction suffers. Social awareness declines and interpersonal skills seem to meet an end similar to that of the do-do bird. The mentality of young people has been pressed and adapted to changing technologies that suck the life out of engagement. Leading to a work force that thinks swipe culture actually applies in the real world. As great as technology is, it seems to be diminishing our ability to interact, thus creating a disconnect between reality and the virtual world. All that applies online does not necessarily add to a functioning individual in the real world. Many kids are coming into the work force with impatiently short attention spans. Lacking the ability to work through real world problems in real time and not being able to adapt to issues that need progressive problem solving skills. A lot of these green individuals lack the ability to form their own opinions, discern between fake or bad information and complete tasks on their own. If you are given a problem to solve then figure it out. Don't walk around asking everyones input about the problem you are facing. Learn to solve the problem and find the answer. Today I'm smoking on 'Ness Chocolate Cheesecake, an indica at 23% THC.  My neighbor dropped off some of his Bruce Banner home grown.  It's a 60/40 Sativa leaning hybrid.   Not 80/20  like I mentioned in the show.  I don't know what the percentage of it is.  Typically it's around the 24% THC mark.  I klcan tell you I hade to put the joint down half way amd stop my first attempt at the show. I started watching horror movies with my daughters.  My youngest decided she wanted to watch "Chucky" so we started there.  Then branched off to the Scream series.  When that didn't do the trick we moved on to Amityville Horror.  That did the trick. Scared them enough to have my youngest have to sleep in my room and my oldest got so scared she punched me in the head in the middle of the movie.  My son will not watch anything remotely scary. What scares you?  Aliens don't really scare me.   Neither does being dissmembered.  The paranormal scares me a bit, so does the texas chainsaw massacre, family of hill-billy's in the woods style abductions.  The idea that you can't get away even when you thought you got away is terrifying! This week I'm smoking Organic Watermelon Z it came in at 21% THC from the Cognocente craft pack, made by BlkMkt I believe.  I'm pretty sure it was a sativa based on the terp profile and the high to be honest.  I got very expressive.  Any way that's what was in the bong.  For our joint we are smoking my favourite blunt.  Presidente by Lobo.  It is a hash infused blunt, complete with glass tip.  It is 30% THC, it's also a sativa and is a must if you like a really nice blunt.  Pick it up for special occasions.  

Aside from unveiling the Cognocente craft pack and all of its potential awesomeness.  I've decided to get hydrated.  Do you know how hard it is to get properly hydrated?  It's like a full time job!  I can't go cup for cup to get that H2O it's too much effort.  I need the lazy man's version of getting hydrated.  So let's talk about the one gallon jug I just bought.  

There is a bigger flex than optimal hydration.  It's true.  The dentist told me.  It's a well kept face hole.  That's right!  Get your mouth game on point.  I did and I didn't even need to start flossing.  Thank you Water Pik and your wonderful mouth cleaning massager.  Possibly the best investment ever.

This week on Thoughts Off The Stem podcast I'm talking about being a cannabis infused parent on Seshisode 108 - Parenting, Cannabis and a Smoke Buddy! Starting the show with a bong hit of Nugz Smallz Indica Pheno number 23. It was about 23% thc. I also rolled up a few pre rolls of the same. Why? because I am working through my stash jar and these few nugs needed a good smoking. Like I was saying, this week I'm taking on the topic of cannabis infused parenting. A lot of people have a poor view of those who partake in cannabis and raise children. Since my whole existence, at this point, revolves around weed, the very least I can do is pass along some of the things I've noticed and learned in my parenting journey. I stick to the adage that it's better to be honest then hide things from people. So I am very open and honest with my kids when discussing anything. I also try my best to preserve their innocence. However their life circumstances have give them incite into things that kids might not be exposed to on a regular basis. So again I have had to be very available in the topics I am willing to discuss with them. I do my best to protect them and offer them some insight into how the world really works. It's a fine line I tell ya. Since we're discussing the things most important to us. I thought it would be a good lead in to the weed facts this week. Which are about cannabis and your pets. We care deeply about our pets, after all they are family. So we want to care for them the best way we can. This has lead people to see if cannabis can help their furry family members, as it dose our not so furry ones. No matter what you decide to do with your pets, I want to make it clear that, in no way am I telling you, you should give your pets cannabis products. We are just discussing an article that discussed some research findings under controlled testing with animals and the ingesting of THC and CBD. I recommend that you discuss any thoughts you have with your vet. Having said that, I thought this article was a good starting point with some basic starting information about giving your pet cannabis products.

This week on Thoughts Off The Stem we're starting the show off with more flips of the Stundenglass and a dab of Alaskan TF by Vortex.

Apparently the relaxation and clearity of this concentrate motivated me to start strong with a rant about age gates, IDing customers and the attitudes of men in my generation and older. Honestly they whine like babies over having to produce a piece of plastic upon entry to the shop. Even thought it's the law they still pick fights with college kids who are just trying to work in an industry they enjoy. This kind of attitude is the reason that the generations after us are having a harder time succeeding. Instead of understanding the rules and regulations these dudes and dudettes think they are the centre of the universe and are willing to cause a colloge kid to go further into debt by potentially being fined. These middle aged door knobs who think the orld revolves around them should take a second and think about why the process is the way the process is.

The customer is not always right! Especially when they decide to berate retail employees based on regulations and laws that are out of their control. Seriously! Society needs an injections of decorum. The older we get the more capable we should be of interacting maturely. I mean , we all have to co-exist right?!

Seshisode 128 This week on Thoughts Off The Stem you get to experience the Justin and the Tyler in all their stoned glory.  We had shot this right after another seshisode so it's basically a double sesh! We had big plans for this sesh but alot of concentrates in a short amount of time put us in a completely different direction.  The one thing I can say is that you get a real solid understanding of how budtenders really view their interactions with customers.  It's basically a window behind the scenes of the cannabis retail industry. After talking smack about some of these scenarios.  The weed sets in and we do our best to keep it together.  Spoiler alert!! I'm not so sure it worked. We don't smoke weed at work but we decided to talk about what strains we would smoke if we did.  It takes a few attempts and a few conversational detours but eventually we list our go to day time strains. Then we try to recap what we'd had over the course of the day and that proves to be a challenge in itself, but we do get there. This week on Thoughts Off The Stem, I'm solo. Tyler couldn't make it this week, it's all good though. He'll be back next week. So this week is a bit of catch up. It's also quite the brain fart. I had an idea but i got high. I was trying to talk about the differences in generations and their work ethic, as well as their thought process and beliefs about what work really is. Ultimately i'm pretty sure I sounded like a grumpy old man who can't change with the times. There is some good stuff in there it's just between all the pauses and forgetting where I was going and what I was doing. If nothing else this should be a good laugh and a good depiction of what a sativa that changes your world, is like. There is a point where I pull it together a little bit. I also review a couple strains and discuss the idea of flavour. For example, when people ask me if there is anything that tastes like a specific thing, such as cherries, in flower. Well not really. Weed tastes like weed man. With maybe a hint of some sort of flavour, but that's far and few between. The first half is a little slow but again it really does do a good job of depicting the start of the high from that massive bong hit. The space out that comes with the initial hit, followed by the inability to keep track of the conversation. I blame the bong man, it really messed me up this time. Dab sweats are not what I thought they were. Sink holes, bong hits and talking to the cops. After a Dab I'm way more of a mouth breather than normal. Darts help kids do math.
