In Oct 2020, during the darkest days of COVID, they took the opportunity to move into a much larger shop unit, in Union Street, just off Reading's main pedestrianised shopping street. The new unit enabled a much larger stock of beers, wines and spirits, and also a significant expansion of the Deli side of the business.

Finally, and most exciting of all, in August 2022, the Goat Tap was opened above the shop, which is where we are recording from today.

I first interviewed Joe from Pentrich on the Podcast in Episode 15 in October 2020. At that time we got to talking about how Pentrich had built their reputation by putting "proper" heavily-hopped NEIPAs into keg. Roman is a Dutchman who was born in Brussels, but he studied for many years in London.

Tom grew up helping out his father in the family cidery, before launching his first brewery Mill Green in 2008, focused on producing cask ale with American hops.

Piglove can trace it's roots back to 2016 when two guys from Venezuela, met by chance in Leeds, and discovered a mutual admiration for Craft Beer.

Vault City was launched in 2018 by Founders Steve and Johnnie in Edinburgh, who started out homebrewing on the kitchen stove, before evolving to produce 400l batches in the basement.
