It's time for us to tinker with time as we play Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, a 2003 action-adventure-platformer hybrid. It's a game both Chris and Ashley have very good memories of playing and have high hopes that it stands the test of time. Along the way, you'll find out how this game links to the Assassin's Creed series and Beyond Good and Evil, hear Ashley's awful eBay story and learn about Aristotelian unities. What a ride!

Note: this was recorded way back in time (August 2023) when this year's brilliant POP game, The Lost Crown, hadn't even been announced, hence no mention of it. Nor had the currently-upcoming Rogue Prince of Persia. There's probably a clever analogy about time here but we'll let you fill in the blanks with that.

But Super Monaco GP on the Sega Master System is a game about cars, and fast ones at that! But we've already said that they're in it. What a joke. Let's try this again: All the transport solutions you could possibly want (except cars), squeezed into an enjoyable management simulation. Start off with just a unicycle and a wicker basket, delivering bread for your local baker, and work your way up to become the sinister, all-pervading transport conglomeration we all wish we could be. That's what this game is!

As is tradition, Chris and Ashley amble their way through an hour of conversation that is at once rambling and incisive. Listen in this week for some deep cuts on the dark predilections of The Sims players in the olden days, lots of Rollercoaster Tycoon-based chat, why Chris should have been playing Railroad Tycoon instead of this, and precisely how tall the fence behind Ashley's childhood home was! The new year brings with it a game that's brand new to both Chris and Ashley, and our first listener suggestion! Future Cop LAPD is just like football (soccer for those that need it) in that it's a game of two very distinct halves and neither of your hosts is particularly good at it. The single player campaign is quite an easygoing run 'n' gun full of fun, while the second game mode sees players go head-to-head to try and tear down each other's respective bases.
