Before becoming an author, John had high stress, long hours, but well-paying management consultant job. He quit this job at 33 years, sold almost everything he owned, and went off on a one-year backpacking trip with his wife to follow his dream of traveling the world.

I know that it is never too late to understand math. At a young age, many of us had the experience of being told that “we are just not a numbers person.”

Books have been written on this social phenomenon, and half of all Americans report having math anxiety. As it turns out, mathematics is really about learning jargon, a jargon that is so fundamental to humanity that we consider it vocabulary.

As a graduate from Oakland University in Finance, Dawn Connors has a love and passion for numbers and is dedicated to finding the absolute best financial solution for her client’s particular mortgage needs. She has been in lending for 21 years and has helped over 3,900 families get financing for purchasing or refinancing their home.

Well versed in VA, FHA, Rural Development, MSHDA and Conventional loans, Dawn will find the perfect fit for her client’s real estate needs and long-term financial goals. Dawn genuinely cares and takes the time to listen to people’s real estate and financial objectives. She is committed to making sure all their needs are met, all questions are answered, and then gives them advice in an easily understood manner and then together, make a customized plan that’s perfect for them.

Also, Dawn has been involved in the fight against Human Trafficking since 2014 when she joined Michigan Abolitionist Project and then became a board member at the beginning of 2021.

In the spring of 2015 Dawn met Dominic & Lindsay Russo, from Missions Me through her church. They shared about the work they do in India building Angel Houses to help get improvised children off the street who would have been sold in human trafficking for child labor.

Dawn is currently building home #5 and has begun funding for home #6 to house 50 children. These homes provide shelter and serve 3 nutritious meals a day. They are given brand new beds with new bedding; clothes and shoes for school and play as they grow and attend school through 18 years old.
