The Steelers sustained a few injuries during their loss to the Eagles with the primary one being to OLB T.J. Watt. We go over the latest updates on his health and the outlook for him potentially playing on Saturday against the Baltimore Ravens. We also go over the other five players dealing with injuries that HC Mike Tomlin talked about during his weekly press conference that took place on Monday. We go over a few other talking points from the Tomlin press conferences from Sunday evening and Monday afternoon. Alex and I then dive deep into breaking down the Steelers Sunday loss to the Eagles. There is a ton to go over when it comes to the offensive and defensive play from Sunday, most of which was bad. March 13, 2024 - Season 14, Episode 100 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday show, which was recorded late Tuesday night, Alex Kozora and I get right to recapping the busy day that the Pittsburgh Steelers had ahead of the new league year starting on Wednesday afternoon. Alex and I start with the Tuesday news concerning the Steelers trading WR Diontae Johnson to the Panthers in exchange for CB Donte Jackson. We try to answer the why related to Johnson being traded and then move on to discuss the arrival of Jackson to the team. We attack this discussion from every angle and the impact, if any, it might have on the rest of free agency and the draft. As part of the trade discussion, Alex and I discuss the initial salary cap impact of it. We also discuss the possibility of Jackson’s contract being adjusted in some way, shape, or form upon his arrival to the team. We go over what that might look like if something related to his contract does happen. We move to discuss the Steelers agreeing to terms with former Baltimore Ravens LB Patrick Queen on Tuesday. We go over his play to date, what his tape says, and what all HC Mike Tomlin has said about the linebacker in the past. We discuss his fit with the Steelers and what it means to the position group overall. We also discuss the Queen contract and specifically how it's such a great deal for the Steelers. December 27, 2023 - Season 14, Episode 68 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the latest news concerning the Pittsburgh Steelers and that includes us going over the latest transactions the team has made since their Saturday win against the Cincinnati Bengals. We also go over what the team's injury situation looks like heading into the Week 17 Sunday road game against the Seattle Seahawks. Steelers HC Mike Tomlin held his weekly press conference on Tuesday and most of that centered around the potential starting quarterback for the Sunday road game against the Seahawks. We discuss how Tomlin handled that press conference and how it sure looks to be shaping up that QB Mason Rudolph will ultimately start on Sunday. We talk about how Tomlin gave himself sort of an out regarding QB Kenny Pickett this week. August 28, 2024 - Season 15, Episode 16 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the initial 2024 53-man roster that the Pittsburgh Steelers established on Tuesday as they trimmed down from 91 players. We go through each position group and discuss the few relatively surprising names of players who made the initial 53-man roster and what possibly led to those decisions. Will the Steelers make any roster changes via outside additions before Week 1? We discuss the possibility of that happening and go over a list of potential fits for the Steelers. June 14, 2023 - Season 13, Episode 143 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and start things off by paying our respects to the great Stan Savran, who sadly passed away on Monday at the age of 76. The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking at a few free agent inside linebackers with their 2023 mandatory minicamp now underway so Alex and I discuss the two players getting looks and the potential of one of them being signed in the next few days. With mandatory minicamp now underway, we are getting the opportunity to hear from some Steelers coaches. On Tuesday, members of the Steelers defensive coaching staff met the media so Alex and I attempt to recap all the notable things to come out of those interviews. Alex and I talk quite a bit about the future of inside linebacker Mark Robinson in this show on the heels of some comments made by Steelers coaches on Tuesday.
