Here is a quick few notes about the domestic season-opener in AZ. I believe if the Cubs can take care of business in game 2 and 3, then they have a really good shot to win 3/4 in the series. Take a listen!

Shota Imanaga was phenomenal again (lower league-leading ERA to 0.84), and the Cubs needed just 1 run to beat the Pirates.

Daniel Moskos and Tommy Hottovy are 2 of the best at developing pitchers internally. Despite a season filled with difficulties and injuries, the Cubs were still able to lean on unexpected heroes on the staff.

In the bullpen, it was: Porter Hodge, Tyson Miller, Jorge Lopez, and Nate Pearson. In the starting staff, fairly unexpected superb seasons from Shota Imanaga and Jameson Taillon kept this team in the playoff conversation.
