There is a lot of noise right now about creating content and planning for 2023 and it can feel overwhelming with so many voices and strategies out there. So, today I’m sharing some really practical, applicable steps you can take to help you get clarity on your business for next year and move into 2023 feeling aligned, on purpose and stress free. 

In this episode, I’m sharing 3 strategies to help you plan for a sustainable and profitable year to come. These strategies are all things that I do in my own business and teach all my clients to do and it’s an approach that will really help you remove the noise.

I talk you through how to create a sales plan for 2023 and I share two different recommendations for this depending on your income level. I also talk about how to map out your sales system, which is the specific process you’re going to use to bring clients in. It’s about getting crystal clear on how you will generate clients from the awareness stage all the way through to sale.

I also talk about considering where you might need to upskill and where you want to focus your energy. It’s easy to get shiny object syndrome, especially during the festive season with so much going on so it’s important to keep focused on your unique business and understand what it is that you need. 

Now is a great time to get in that planning mindset for 2023 so that you can really switch off, unwind over the holiday period and start the new year feeling empowered and full of energy.

After asking my community what you all wanted to hear about most on this podcast, it became clear that my morning routine was a hot topic. So today, I’m diving deep into how I create my mindful morning routine and what changes exist within this.

I am someone who suffers from anxiety and have done so throughout my life, so for me having a morning routine that sets me up positively for the day ahead is crucial. I am prone to waking up with a racing heart, busy mind and if I’m not mindful in the morning, the day can quickly get away from me.

On the episode today I will go through:

  • Three key components that I include in my morning routine and how you can create these for yourself
  • How my morning routine changes so that I never get bored
  • The value I place on the different seasons of my life and how best to support them
  • An example of what my summer morning routine looks like

Little disclaimer here for you all, our days are likely going to look very different. I don’t have children, I live by the ocean and I really love the morning and waking up early. However, you might not be a morning person. This is the routine that I have tweaked for myself to fully support the best version of me. I urge you to look deep within to find the routine that works for your specific needs and stage of life.

Are you done with 2020?  It’s been a year for us all and many business owners just feel like tapping out.  This has been a hot topic with many of my clients and the people in my community and I’m really pumped to share this episode with you in the hopes of inspiring and empowering you to keep showing up now and into 2021.

In this episode, I talk about some ways you can recognise if you’re feeling tapped out, what might actually be happening for you in terms of resistance and self sabotage and some practical tips to move through it.  I discuss learning to process everyday stress instead of tapping out and share some practical ways in which I manage my internal infrastructure and re-calibrate in order to show up.

I received a question in my DM’s recently about how I stay organised in my business and in my life.  I really love being organised.  It enables me to spend so much more time doing the things I love instead of chasing my tail and being anxious about what needs to get done.

Recently one of my clients came to me looking for the magic bullet for success. Despite the success she has already found, she is still stuck under the belief that every successful person knows something that she doesn’t. That if she could just find that out, she would be successful and that she never could be without it. I’ve also been in this place, desperate to find the unifying factor for success that would make my future crystal clear, but the reality is, no such thing exists.

In today’s episode I want to address the myth of the magic bullet and the belief we internalise that we don’t have enough talent to generate the success we desire. When we don’t know something, our natural desire is to figure it out and solve the problem as soon as possible. In business this can mean constantly looking outward for a strategy. However, there is no one size fits all, our business is personal, and our strategy needs to be too. Business can’t be boiled down into a set checklist, but it doesn’t have to be convoluted and scary, you just need to anchor yourself in your own path.

For those of you that have a podcast of your own, I know it can be odd sitting down to record a solo podcast episode and wondering what to talk about. In fact, I had this question from a client recently asking how I structure my solo episodes so that it doesn’t feel weird just sitting there essentially talking to yourself.

At the end of the day, you are talking to yourself but it doesn’t have to feel weird. The key is to have a solid structure that you follow. In my case, I like to plan it out using the essay structure that I used back in high school. Who would’ve thought I would actually be using information that I learned in high school!

Today I’m talking through how I plan my solo episodes out so that I always cover the points I want to hit, why I don’t fully script my episodes and the importance of keeping the conversation in a nice flow.

Mindset is unseen and therefore easy to leave off the do-do list. It’s also the main barrier that stops us from getting what we want.

I share how not being in an expansive mindset prohibits ourselves from setting big goals, boxing us in to take less risks and stay in our comfort zone. I talk about how we run the risk of entering into a scarcity mindset, the difference between a fixed versus growth mindset and how all the traits that make a successful entrepreneur are learned, not inherent.

Today I’m going to share the top 6 biz takeaways from 2021 to help you scale into 2022. These are a mix of things that I have learned this year and from my clients, along with past experiences I’ve had in my four years of business.

First off, I’ll share 3 key takeaways I’ve learned from my business that I know you’ll find really useful. I have adopted and understood that the more spaciousness I create, the better my business runs. I can do this by continuing to grow my business and not having to work 40 hour work weeks. I’ll run you through how I’ve managed to achieve this in a way that still allows for abundance. 

I’ll talk about how making a million is a game of consistency over intensity. The consistency around showing up, building my audience, focusing on offers, and honing my craft. The day-to-day tasks in my business helped me to get here, it wasn’t just one big publicity deal. The third significant learning I made was my business doesn’t thrive under pressure. The more pressure I create, the more things start to suffer. 

I’ll then share with you 3 more concepts I’ve learned through my clients. This valuable list includes less is more, expectations ruin everything, and fostering a love of marketing with strategy and mindset. This is the second last episode of the year! I can’t believe we’re already coming to the end of 2021. 

I wanted to break down the year that was 2021 with you. This is part 1 - the personal episode and part 2 - the business episode will follow. 

I encourage everyone to separate their business and their personal goals for 2022. Often we only make business goals and neglect having aspirations for our personal lives. I’m so grateful I made personal goals for myself in 2021, it has allowed me to keep working on myself and how I connect with my friends and family. 

In this episode, I’m going to chat about the three core personal goals I set for the year and how they manifested. These goals include: creating more love and connection around me, taking care of my body, and upgrading my daily habits so I’m focused, creative, and on purpose. 

I’ll share with you the many highs, lows, the biggest learnings and takeaways, and a summary of the year that was. 

I always choose a theme for the year ahead. This year it was la dolce vita - the sweet life. I wanted to have a year where play, joy, and fun are paramount. This year has definitely felt like I’ve accomplished this focus. Whilst I wasn’t able to travel, I was able to find the sweetness in the smaller, simpler things. 

I really wanted to share this episode with you to show the whole picture of a CEO of a million-dollar business. There are so many amazing times that go along with the really challenging times. It is this polarity that can make it an incredibly surprising experience and unforgettable year.

This episode is Part 2 of the Year that was 2021: The Business. Part 1 was the personal component on the previous episode where I dived into my own life events and reflections. I’m very excited to share with you this business review where I examine each component to build a complete picture of Swift Ventures for 2021. 

In this episode, I’m taking you into a behind the scenes view into my business for 2021. I’ll explore my big business goal for the year, whether or not we achieved that goal, the team we’ve built, the highlights and challenges from the year, and the biggest lessons I’ve learned. 

My big business goal for 2021 was to earn $1 million in sales… We achieved it! I’ll talk you through my profit margin, expenses, and additional team members. I share with you how I structured the final quarter of my year to invest in systems for my business instead of launching new offers. I managed to achieve having a really successful business that lights me up without having to work 30-40 hours per week.

I often see people morph and shift their businesses to fit with the current trends. Whilst this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, don’t let it skew your belief system of how to run your business.

If you decide that everything is going to be easeful in your business, it will be. I know, it sounds very simple. But when you make this your way of doing business, you're actively preventing overwhelm and choosing to build a business that fulfills you and allows for creative space.

In this episode, I want to share how ease is a decision, what it looks like, how I choose ease in all areas of my work and how I come back to it again and again. I’ll explore how you can practically apply making decisions that incorporate ease into your marketing, mindset and strategy. 

When you choose ease in business you’re choosing not to live in overwhelm, stress and burnout. This doesn’t mean you don’t step out of your comfort zone! I definitely break free from my comfort zone, but when I do I create safety in my day so I don’t have a very dysregulated nervous system. I’ll run you through the exact steps and examples of how I use safety every day to prevent me from becoming overwhelmed and stressed. 

The habits that you have control over regulate your nervous system and ground you within your day. I always give myself the opportunity to come back to neutrality and create dopamine through my lifestyle and not inside my business through external validation. 

I always create ease in my marketing by being intentional in every piece. I’ll run you through how we accomplish this while still doing everything that feels fun and fulfilling. 

Ease, for me in my business, looks like simplification and streamlining everything. This has allowed me to create so much space for creativity by not wasting any time on unnecessary tasks.

In this episode, I’m sharing my new monthly routine that’s blowing up our income. For the last 18 months, I had mastermind calls weekly with clients, hot seat coaching, weekly group calls in the Inner Circle and monthly 1:1 calls. 

I found I didn’t have the opportunity to do any deep work that really moves the needle forward in my business. 

So I changed it up and started batching my calls. I’ll run you through how I structure my routine with batches so I have a dedicated week each month I can use for strategy time, content creation and having creative space in my business for freedom and flow.  

This has allowed us to move through all of the big and small things in the business and get so much further ahead than before. I’ll explore how changing up my monthly routine has blown up our income and allowed for the creation of World Class Business

It can feel overwhelming with the amount of content out there to have to come up with an amazing new insight or idea that will just wow everybody. But this is the wrong way to go about it and I’m so glad to have this opportunity to talk about such an important topic. 

 

In this episode, I’m sharing the ‘secret’ ingredient to standing out online by exploring how to be original in your thinking as a personal brand. Firstly, we need to acknowledge that original thinking comes through a process of learning, immersing and responding and not often through direct downloads from the universe. So if you're sitting just waiting for a unique, one-of-a-kind thought to pop up in your mind - you may be waiting a while!

 

I’ll take you through a very clear 3 step system for standing out from others and generating your own original thought as a personal brand. It’s impossible to create our own theories and ideas if we don’t have a very thorough understanding of the foundation of the industry. As you dive into these 3 steps, you’ll learn to build your own knowledge bank to burst forward from and ideate as a powerful thought leader.
