12 Nov 2022Episode 2 - The feminine cannot truly rise until the Masculine does his work00:15:46

This comes from a long journey of self discovery, of trying to avoid my own toxic masculinity and deeper more fucked up parts of me, I escaped and aspired to the feminine, a place of love, connection and flow. The place I was told I should be.

But over the years I realised that I needed to deal with my own masculine for my feminine to truly come online. As far as im concerned it was the masculine that got us into this mess and it is the masculine that must get us out. This is the work of being conscious men, doing the deep work through our unconscious toxicity so we can emerge as beautiful, present men who hold the feminine with protection, sacredness and beauty.

14 Mar 2025#16 Containment & Healthy expression of Anger00:45:51

In this weeks episode I dive deeply into anger.

Anger is a pivotal emotion to master for men. Often we have a bad relationship with anger and haven't learned the skills to navigate anger without either going into collapse to avoid anger or going into reaction where we get taken over by anger.

In this episode I dive deeply into:

- What are the ways we have developed a negative relationship with anger.

- How anger is normally protecting a vulnerable or hurt part of us.

- The 2 most common ways we handle anger, collapse and reaction.

- Learning ways to healthily express and how we can build capacity to hold anger without denying it or acting from it.

Overcoming the nice guy weekend retreat - If you are wanting to learn the skills of navigating anger in a healthier way Overcoming the nice guy is a weekend retreat where we build these skills and competencies 28th-30th March in Sligo Booking

In this episode I share a personal story of a breakdown I had when I was 20.

In this podcast I go into:

  • The full story of this breakdown, context and how I navigated my way through
  • How a mentor helped me reframe this breakdown to see it in a different light

Disclaimer: I am not a qualified therapist, this podcast is designed to share my story to hopefully destigmatise mental health a little. Although I navigated this time mostly on my own I would not recommend this.

If you are struggling  with a mental disorder or are a danger to yourself or others it is important to reach out to mental health organisation for support. There are many organisations who can support.

09 Dec 2022Episode 3 - Reflection on Sacred Sons EMX Weekend00:28:17

Sacred Sons have become a very well known and International Mens movement, that are bringing in alot of new people to Mens work, they are really putting themselves out there knowing that this work needs to be seen.

This is is a short review of my experience on the weekend. How I believe the mens movement is evolving. How ritual Combat, Embodiment and Brotherhood are key pieces of masculinity that are not being addressed and that ultimately the only way out of this mess is for men to do their work together. We got our selves into this mess and I believe it is conscious men who will also get us out of this mess.

This was a transformative and Informative weekend for me. Thank you to Jason Mac, Kale, Andrew, Micheal, Peter and Jack. and all the team who made this possible.
