18 Feb 20221 Simple Framework to Write Winning Tracks00:16:53
  • You don't have to create the best epic song ever.
  • You don't even have to create a song at all.
  • You don't have to create a masterpiece
  • you don't have to create a symphony that's like 15 minutes long.

The only thing you have to create is a track that has a certain framework and I give you templates for that in the Production Music Academy.

Applications for PMCA are open on Feb. 18th.

11 Feb 2022How to get your music on TV without being famous00:08:52

WANNA BE FRIENDS: 💌 Sign up to my weekly newsletter - http://go.thecomposerclass.com/signup

  • having your music being featured on TV has nothing to do with how well known you are or if your music is the best music out there.
  • I made tens of thousands of dollars with this process without being famous or having any connections
  • Let me show you the process and walk through it together
  1. Research your Dream Publisher
  2. Produce an album (10-12 tracks) with your Dream Publisher in mind
  3. Get the album signed with your DP

Look at how it works for me:

I started making music for libraries and production music labels when our daughter (our 3rd child) was just born. That was Summer 2017. I started with 0 label connections, 0 tracks in any catalog, and a very small amount of royalties here and there.

24 months later, my music was distributed and broadcast on TV all over the world.

The royalties it earned exceeded my wildest expectations. Now, as of January 2022, my catalog has 1000+ tracks and I make $45,000+ yearly, with 10-15 hours of effort each week.

For me, that’s absolutely fascinating.

Now let’s take a moment to imagine what would be different in your life if you had your music on TV and made this kind of money in your sleep.

What possibilities would open up for you? How would you be different? Imagine yourself doing the research, then producing the right kind of music, and finally getting the album signed. Can you see yourself doing this? Just imagining it, it looks pretty simple, right?

Reality is different, right?

But I want you to succeed. That’s why I am going to help you to become a successful Production Music Composer.

08 Feb 2022How to outperform every other composer out there00:08:58

WANNA BE FRIENDS: 💌 Sign up to my weekly newsletter - http://go.thecomposerclass.com/signup

  • In my business, there have been times, when I had to take on every job or project.
  • I wasn’t able to choose what I wanted to work or with whom I wanted to work
  • Simply because my bank account didn’t allow it. I had to work through the night so many times
I had to be always available. My phone went with me everywhere. (Very bad habit)
No vacation ever was a real vacation
I was stressed out of my mind.
I had to chase after the money I was owed, even if it was never enough
  • Of course, that’s not entirely true. I could have also chosen another job.
  • But all I ever wanted to do was create music. So much I knew.
  • That’s where Production Music completely changed the game for me and it also can for youYou can work on your catalog on the side while doing other projects
Say goodbye to 24/7 weeks and days
Envision a real vacation, where you don’t need a phone, no laptop has to come with you
Because you are not reliant on your client's schedule anymore
  • That’s what I call Leverage (many people actually call it that)

02 Nov 2021The Plug-Ins I Use to Create Successful Production Music Tracks00:22:40

The production process in itself is hard enough we don't have to make it harder on ourselves with too much technical difficulty. Some composers deal with it by having huge templates where they never even have to look for a sound because they are all at their fingertips. But tbh not many of us have the luxury of buying or building a machine that can do that. And in my opinion, that is also total overkill especially for production music and commercials. In tracks where you only might need 10-15 tracks from a 350 track template that doesn't make sense. In this episode, I will show you what I use to create my most successful production music tracks.

Isn't that the dream? Making music full-time and making a good living doing so?
In this episode, I break the 4 driving factors in my career (and yours, you'll see), that lead me to conquer rejection, doubt, and procrastination.

  • Why do you need to create daily and deliver monthly
  • Tweak and change to figure out what you should be creating

  • What?
  • How?
  • Why?

Simon Sinek’s book “Start with Why”

We mostly start with What.

What if we would go from the inside out and start with why?

WHAT do you do?

These are products they sell or services.

Do you know HOW you do it? These are the things

that make you special or set you apart from your competition.

Very few of us know WHY you do what you do.

WHY is not about making money. That's a result. WHY is a purpose, cause, or belief. It's the very reason you as a composer exist.

06 Jul 2023Miracle Workers and other Absurd Comedies with Matt Novack01:06:42

Get Your Tracks Signed By A Production Music Publisher With Only 2 Hours of Effort

https://www.2hourcomposer.com/getsigned

With this season’s storyline for Miracle Workers: End of Times, the showrunners aimed for an 80s VHS movie vibe, so for Matt, the trick was to find the right kind of synths. He played around with a few different approaches and ultimately landed on the style of Georgio Moroder and John Carpenter. To play up the “junked” aesthetic of the world, he also added some junkyard-type instruments to work along with synths and give the score its unique flavor.

15 Feb 2024Now is the Easiest Time to Land Sync Placements with The PITCH Framework00:38:04

How would you feel if you discovered a way to make your hobby your full-time income and create music without the need of posting constantly on social media, awkward networking events, or even a website?

  • in 2014 I was fortunate enough to create music for a tv commercial
  • The budget wasn’t great, But i needed the money, so I did it.
  • created the music in 2 days (commercials, huh), send the finals out, didnt think much of it.
  • 1 year later, in June 2015 I got a letter from GEMA and I almost fainted.
  • I had to look twice: more than 20k Euros from that 1 commercial.
  • Blown away. I felt I was on to something there. the power of Performance Royalties
  • That started my journey into sync licensing, because I wanted to have more of that residual, passive cashflow.
  • And from my experience being in the space now since 2015 I created the PITCH Framework.

So in this video I’m going to show you what the PITCH framework is, how YOU can get more placements and how any level of music creator can achieve massive success through sync licensing.

26 Oct 2021Sick of Unfinished Tracks - Try These 3 Strategies00:21:33

When it comes to composing music, one of the most difficult things for me, in the beginning, was actually finishing a track, getting a track to a point that it didn't need much more maybe mixing.
But getting to this point of a track, really being done and finished, I learned to ask for a certain discipline, that I have to practice. And also the confidence of knowing when a track is actually done. So in this episode, I want to show you what I do with all of my tracks to finish them.

A dear friend, a loved one?

  • Someone that agrees with you and tells you what you want to hear.

Rising up and being prosperous in your business (and life) has nothing to do with luck.

Even if most people around will tell you this: Oh, they were just lucky, oh they were just in the right place at the right time.

Sorry, but that's not how it works!

for example, Hans Zimmer attributes much of his success to being mentored by Stanley

Are you feeling stuck?
