Did you know that in the story of the ten minas, the reward for stewarding money well is getting more responsibility? In this podcast, I teach on the principles of how the favor of God works as exemplified in Luke 19. If the Lord gives you $500 more than you need, but then you figure out how to cause the money you were given to make money—if you can create an ecosystem—the Lord says you should be over cities. The men in Luke 19 are responsible for, let’s say, $500, but his next promotion is 10 cities! My point is, oftentimes the Lord gives us a reward and we think that we’re overwhelmed. Often the challenge is, we complain about the reward, not realizing that the responsibility is the reward. We have the privilege of being responsible for feeding more people, having the responsibility for more cities, etc. The reason I think that this is really profound right now is that I feel the Lord saying, we need to be the ones to give people something to eat like the story of feeding the 5,000. Many look at the world and are asking the Lord to take care of all of the issues and problems and wanting Him to get rid of them. But I feel like the Lord is saying, “You give them something to eat.” I believe that in darkness, it is our time to rise. The reality is, we’re about to do the great exchange—beauty for ashes, joy for mourning. As we are rising, we are going to get a reward, and that reward is more responsibility. And if we aren’t careful we will cross the street thinking we don’t have what it takes. But the Lord wants to co-labor with us. King Solomon said, “The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but people are tested by their praise.” (Proverbs 27:21) Abraham Lincoln put it this way, “Nearly all men can stand in adversity, but if you want to know a man’s character, give him power.” This week, I share about the importance of authority—having it and submitting to it.

Prayer is an act of leadership as it authorizes God to do His will on the earth. In this podcast, I teach about being seated in heaven with Christ and I hope to encourage you to step into our divine identity and pray prayers that will shape the world.

In this week’s podcast, I share a recent revelation the Lord gave me — we are no longer going through a transition, we are going through a metamorphosis. Transitioning is a process of going from one season to another, but a metamorphosis isn’t about changing seasons it’s about changing us. I believe we have moved into a new season where the Lord is breaking off the things that once served us well, but that we actually no longer need.

I had the opportunity to teach on Father’s Day last week, and in honor of father’s I want to share that message with you today. I believe we are in a season when the ugliness of fatherlessness is becoming the beauty of family values and legacy living through men rising to the occasion and not cowering in fear. We are being thrust into this place where we are becoming catalysts to a revolution that is transforming the family and setting our children up for success.

In this week’s podcast, I share about the values I was brought up with such as, “dog eat dog”, “get yours before they get theirs”, “don't trust anyone”, etc. and how God had to teach me that if I trust Him, I don’t have to trust me to make everything happen. Living in God’s Kingdom means He takes better care of me than the bird’s of the air or even King Solomon. The foundation of that kingdom is honor. I believe the Lord wants to reveal the pathway to honor and the pathway to growing in His favor. Listen now to hear more!

Life isn’t always easy; the Vallotton family knows that first hand. There were seasons in life that were far different than we had planned. You know the kind of seasons you question if the trials you're facing will fade or if you’ll see another day? From battling a nervous breakdown riddled with fear to being in a financial crisis and wondering if food would appear on the table the next day — our story is filled with perseverance and a deep rooted strength. I often look back on the seasons of life that were turbulent and treacherous and wonder if we’d be who we are today without them. In the midst of life’s hardest circumstances, tenacity and endurance began to fill our bones and established roots in our family. No matter the storm that came our way our home became a cornerstone of faith — we realized there was a purpose in the pain and possibility in the problems we faced. Let me be clear, I am not saying the Lord caused trials, but He definitely used them to build our character and prepare us for the call of God on our life. In this week’s episode, Kathy and I take you back to Weaverville; the key place in our life where this hope was built, stakes of faith were put in the ground, and monumental markings in our life were formed.

We met the Holy Spirit in a small mountain town in Northern California. We were attending Mountain Chapel where Bill and Beni Johnson pastored for over 17 years. From the outside looking it, there wasn’t anything seemingly impressive or spectacular; we didn’t even have our own building for many years. We met at a theater where we squished 300 of us every Sunday….We were hungry! We were hungry to experience the power of God in our lives and hungry to bring Heaven to earth. I still remember the day everything seemed to change. Bill and Beni had just returned from visiting Toronto Canada where there was a huge outpouring of the Holy Spirit. As they began sharing powerful stories of experiencing the Holy Spirit while in Toronto, the Holy Spirit began to pour out among the congregation. In the latest episode of Cultural Catalysts, we share about the first time the Holy Spirit interrupted our Church service, touched Kathy, and forever changed our understanding of the power of God's presence. While the supernatural has become a normal part of our lives, it has never stopped being extraordinary.

In this week's podcast, I sit down with Bethel's Missions Pastors, John, and Cindi Taylor to discuss transforming hearts and culture in the most Gospel neglected places. Please note this interview was recorded prior to the Ukrainian crisis. The Gospel is not dormant or dead, powerless or passive; it is active and expansive. Yet, there are still people and places that have never heard the Gospel. These places are plagued with idol worship and infested with demonic entities, raging war at the hearts of creation and taking a stance on land that desperately awaits the good news of the Gospel to reach it. But, we play a key role; we are co-laborers of Christ, sanctified saints that are not called to sit on the sidelines of life. Romans 10:14 says, “How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?” It is clear that we have been given a heavenly mandate and a divine duty as Believers. The good news is that through the supernatural power of the Gospel we are not deployed to conquest in our own strength, but to partner with God to see a generation living in the reality of the Gospel and aware of the power of the love of our Father in every tribe, tongue, and nationality. Their story is a journey of immense faith and a life surrendered to the Gospel. Their faith-filled yes to the Lord led them to an unreached people group as overseas missionaries for 15 years. My prayer as you watch this week’s episode is that you will be ignited with a passion for every ear to hear the Gospel and heart to experience the love of the Father.
