07 Oct 2023Scunthorpe United, saved from the brink!!00:41:52
Felt like we needed to get something out with the momentous news earlier in the week, regarding our club Scunthorpe United. The club have been saved from a very dark place. After the amazing efforts of fans around the world, on the go fund me. Set up by Iron Bru, Tom and ourselves. The club has eventually changed hands from David Hilton to Michelle Harness and team. Something that Scunthorpe fans breathed a huge sigh of relief for. We’re still not out of the woods and need to work together as one. So much easier when we all push in the same direction. ‘United we Stand’ So we discuss the last week, then the usual FPL, Quiz, Iron Stats and a few laughs along the way.

05 Nov 2024Fireworks ahead of Spennymoor and a new CEO!!00:54:56

Back with a bang, by popular demand. I say that like we haven’t been around for a while. As it stands right now we’re twice weekly. While the games are coming thick and fast, we have to keep the pace too.

So today’s pod, we have Spennymoor Town fan Dezzy Ward join us, for Spy in the Camp. Plenty of fans questions and thoughts after the Radcliffe game and a look towards tonight’s game at Spennymoor.

Also yesterday evening, it was announced by the club that Matt Roberts will be joining us as our CEO. So from all at the Iron Hour Podcast - welcome.

We’ve made it out of the country and over to Cologne for some Euro 2024 action. So only right we bring you a pod on tour. We discuss England’s first two games. Teams that have caught our eye too. Hungry were down as dark horses for the tournament for two of the panel. We did say dark and not dead. Though they still have a chance to progress, playing Scotland. Max has tickets for the final England game. While Barra and Gareth went to watch Belgium v Romania after the pod was recorded.
04 Jul 2023Danny Elliott, Scunthorpe United striker joins us for a chat. 00:49:11
We are back, thought it best to make some effort and show some willing. The break has been nice, now to get back on track. Especially seeing as the players are back in the building, pre season training has started. Fortunately for us Danny Elliott striker for Scunthorpe United, took time out of his busy schedule and joined us for a chat. We discussed his early years up to present day. Rejection, playing abroad, injuries, trials, joy and heartache. Also does pineapple, really belong on a pizza? Yes, we asked the important questions too 😉
18 Oct 2024Butler bites at the fans forum. Chester chat, curry and yes, the hair gets mentioned again!!01:00:49

Just no getting rid of us. Back once again with your weekly content. Started off with 3, Gareth upped and left, as he had to play with his train set. We didn’t let that put us off though, as we marched on through with the pod. We discussed the fans forum as Butler bites. We chat with Joe a Chester fan for the “Spy in the Camp” segment.

We discuss the charity game, Thomas Tuchel becoming the England manager. Also we have our usual Hero, Idiot, Moment of the week.

Would you like to see anything different. We’re always open to new ideas. (Bound to be someone telling us to stop 😂😂)

20 Sep 2024Scunthorpe United, top of the league and still in the cup. Has to be worth a Pully!!01:01:35

The 3 Amigos once again turning up and doing bits. We discuss the Newcastle Town games away and at home, as we eventually progress through to the next round of the FA Cup.

We have the ‘Spy in the Camp’ section too speaking with Andy Atkinson who is a BBC Radio York sports commentator and Lias a Scarborough fan. As we discuss the forthcoming fixture.

20 Oct 2023We discuss Scunthorpe United and England v Italy amongst other items. 00:53:40
Another pod, rolling them back out getting into a rhythm again. Once again Gareth is missing due to work commitments. About time he did some actual work for a change. So once again, it’s the 3 amigos over zoom. We discuss England v Italy, can’t think why, up coming match at Chester, last match v Brackley. Also the usual segments and a really good quiz question. Let us know if you got any of the answers in the comments. Storm Babet gets a mention too, as does the charity football match we’re playing in against Kirton Lindsey over 30’s on Sunday 22nd Oct at Klassic Park Kirton 2.30pm kick off. Keep an eye on our social media on X as the storm has left the pitch under some standing water, so a possibility it could be called off.
15 Aug 2024We discuss the win at Brackley and look ahead to Marine. Plus lots more.00:59:25

We discuss the win at Brackley, is it too early to get carried away? Thought so, we’ll leave the cheeky Nando’s on hold for now. We also look ahead to Marine and Needham Market. Luckily one of us has done a little research into them.

Plus we have the usual Hero, Idiot and Moment of the week. Fans questions, which leads to chips being one of the answers. FPL chat, still time to sign up. All of this and Iron Army stopped playing with his train set and joined us for this one.

08 Feb 2024🚨🎙️Heartbreak in Blyth. Where do we go from here? 🎙️🚨01:04:11
Another pod released. This time we talk Rushall, Blyth, Dion Sembie-Ferris, do we get rid of the manager? Marco, Max and Barra discuss this and so much more. Plenty of fan questions answered too.
22 Mar 2024Who’d have a thought we’d still be going a year later?01:10:04
So a year later and the pod is still going strong, from flags dropping, cups and string to Trevor playing with himself and Max going to court. It’s fair to say, we’ve had a laugh along the way. It’s been serious at times too, from interviewing the previous owner and being caught in the lights by what was said, so to speak. Being close to not having a club. We’ve had it all in this first year. This pod talks about our last two league games that were played 😉 A look forward to Warrington. The usual segments also and some Big News we have for the pod. Looks like the boots are being pulled on again, chance for Max to scythe a few players down and work on his scouse accent too. One last thing, this pod wouldn’t be anything with out you, the listeners/viewers. So thank you to each and everyone of you. Here’s to the next year. How good is Barra as a host too? If you didn’t know, he’s also a Boxing MC 🙄
23 Sep 2024Russ Wilcox joins us in a 2 part pod. Part 1 his playing career.00:31:25

We’re delighted to have Russ Wilcox on the podcast, as we discuss his playing career. This is the first part of a 2 part discussion. As later on we also discuss his managerial career.

03 May 2024🚨 EMERGENCY PODCAST DROP, DEAN GONE, BOSTON BREAKDOWN 🚨Was the sacking justified and who next?00:48:40
Who else thought they were getting a nice quiet close season. Being able to relax knowing we were in a slightly better place. This is Scunthorpe United, we don’t know what one is. So the news came out that Jimmy Dean, Chris Plummer and Ant Coombe had departed the club. Some will be happy with this, others not so. We had to drop a an emergency pod. Three of the usual pod, plus special guest as Gareth was playing trains. Let us know in the comments, do you think the sacking was justified? Who do you want in next? Plus what did you think to the play off defeat. Was it the team you’d have gone with?
01 Nov 2024Sixy football and top of the league. No wonder Barra had a bounce in his step!00:57:11

Once again we’re back with another episode of The Iron Hour Podcast. This time we discuss the performance against Farsley Celtic. I mean who doesn’t love a bit of sixy football. It was a most welcome response after the Southport game.

We’re joined by Jon Belfield, (@jonobele on X) Stadium Announcer and Podcast Presenter for Radcliffe FC for our “Spy in the Camp” segment. We also have a look ahead to the Radcliffe game, with some score predictions from the panel too. How do you think we will do?

Also have our Hero, Idiot, Moment of the week. Some FPL chat and general chat in between.

Once again thank you for listening and being involved. We’re always welcome to new ideas too. So if you want to see something different or ask a question. Please either comment on this, or find us on our media on X or Facebook.
