I'm going be to be honest and share that it's less that this podcast episode is over due and more that this whole subject matter is!
Meet Tracey Mylecharane my newly appointed solicitor.
And yes it took me over two years of coaching privately and 18 months of hosting a mastermind to do the thing that is invest in legal support (and set up formal contracts). I had contracts mind you, but they weren't endorsed by a lawyer.
Now that I've have made this move it's especially clear why it's so important to have done so. Because even though nothing catastrophic came my way (gratefully!), there have certainly been avoidable awkward style moments.
But here's the thing..... Growing a business is a always about balancing what you need with what you want.
And our individual perceptions are going to impact which you file under what column.
For me....legal support was a want rather than need. Sorry Tracey!! I've now learned the error of my ways....and my audience is about to gain a whole tonne of insight as a result.

I honestly thought coaching wasn't a 'real' opportunity when it came to the kind of lifestyle I desire (and to be honest had become accustom to during my corporate days).
So even though I valued it.
And even though I studied coaching......
I put it on the "not going to support me effectively" pile and focussed my attention elsewhere.
As it turned out I just didn't know better.
Thankfully the universe did not take a no from me and kept throwing this direction in my path.

In fact when I had a psychic reading with @happy_souls_and_co a couple of weeks ago, she connected into my past lives and guess what I was doing? Yep, COACHING. Also yes she's fab and you should book in for a reading. And almost three years since my coaching business began, I've created a reality far beyond what I perceived possible.
But it's been a process, which I will suspect will be the case for you too.

Freedom is my highest value (even more than money!), although to be fair, they do go hand in hand.

Post my Covid experience, I intentionally went through a re-birth and here’s what’s happened since.

BECAUSE: in the forced rest & thinking time it came to me that I wasn’t living up to my potential (which is amusing because I preach this stuff).
⛔️once my energy returned, I decided that I was no longer here for my personal BS...and
✔️that it was 💯 time to raise my standards and experience my days on a higher frequency.
What started as a quest to release the should’s and DO the things to elevate me personally (eat better, move my body, increased self care etc)……instantly influenced how I showed up in my business as well.
Since then I’ve:
🤩lost 4kg 🤩got a new hair do 🤩grown stronger physically (even wearing a boot!) 🤩kept my space much tidier 🤩done more learning & reduced the amount of TV watching (not by much 😂) 🤩up-levelled my marketing game, applying sophisticated strategies that work 🤩had a constant stream of new clients coming my way
When I got the download to create the “slap dash to sophisticated” training, I knew it was incredibly needed & potent.
Now that I’m actually developing it, I’m even more convinced of the transformation it offers.
Because when you raise your marketing standards you also raise:

Because here's the deal - when we try and follow someone else's way (and they teach one way) it will only work if we're very much like that person.

This is why you need BOTH a sales strategy & a marketing strategy.
Even though they work together.
Marketing is about compounding impact over a period of time (months, years).
Because while there can be exceptions, for the most part, client attraction comes after you’ve built know, like and trust.
A sales strategy is different. It’s designed to intentionally speed up the process.
When you activate a sales strategy, you’re able to accelerate income more quickly.
And yet so often the go to thought is “I really need to improve my marketing”.
I won’t argue with that, your intuition is likely right….but also….how effective is your sales strategy (do you have one!)?
You will know the answer to this in an instant.
Because, when it’s working: ✔️you will have a steady flow of client enquiries / customers ✔️80% of your revenue comes from 20% of your clients and you know to unlock more 💰 (from a place of service) ✔️your marketing is strategically designed out in front

Something I’ve observed in the coaching industry (particularly business coaching) is a tendency to arrive at a level of success & then coach “this is the way” as the only HOW.
But here’s the thing…..I don’t know about you but I left my 30 year corporate career to never feel stuck or drained (F that, I want to feel lit up and liberated).
Having said that….as a business coach, I invested soooooo much money, time and energy in learning HOW to grow a business - from the best.

And they all repeated the same things….so I was like that MUST be the way.
But for me, it never felt right. So I coached my own clients differently.
Listening to what they really wanted (not my version of success) and meeting them where they’re at, based on their individual passions and goals.
Meanwhile I didn’t give myself the same grace....
Then this year came the realisation……enough with the continual need to push toward more money through the well trodden path. And in particular, for me personally - no more niching down.
Because while I love money, I am not here for the push. Nor am I here to shrink myself into a box.
I AM here to help you and me both, grow a business that sets our soul on fire 🔥.
Your business on your terms.
And the more I lean into Human Design as a permission slip, the more my soul (actually my sacral) leads me right there.

My clients are benefiting from this too and reflecting back to me that it is changing the game in the best of ways.
Because when you build a business that’s in alignment with how you are designed as a human…..your values, your passions, your purpose and your strengths…you can’t help but vibrate at a higher frequency and magnetise dream clients & opportunities.
Because this is the real version of WHO you need to be.

The breakdown before the breakthrough…
This year, my fourth in the online world, absolutely threw me for a loop.
It started out with a $100k launch and a heightened sense of WOW everything is snowballing in the right direction.
THEN I was tested…over and over.
This lesson is two fold: 1/ experimentation mindset is everything 2/ doing business following other people’s strategies isn’t a direct path to success
I made the decision to turn the Momentum Mastermind into a membership model.
This meant that after 2 months, the ladies were able to give notice.
I told myself that because I’m an incredible business coach, that even though they could….they wouldn’t.
BUT, within a week of the Mastermind beginning I had my first client share that she already knew she would only be staying 3 months. She had been in my Mastermind previously but felt that this new style of container wasn’t a good fit for her.
I felt instant shame.
And spent the next few months in that energy of lack and fear.
By the middle of the year I was in a mess.
Financially and emotionally.
Then I got COVID….which strangely was the beginning of the breakthrough.
Because it brought to the surface the conversation of whether it was worth staying the course…..when I wasn’t feeling lit up or liberated. I had to face this “should I quit this” thing.
And it was the beginning of the most beautiful realisation.
I absolutely 150% love what I do…helping women create success on their terms and explode their impact is my JAM.
But I’d started making money be the measure of MY success. When the truth is, I have plenty of money.
What I desire is to do more of the work that lights me up.
To help more women.
And to give others the permission to do their business THEIR way.

So that as you grow your business, you're doing it in a way that feels absolutely amazing. Body, mind and soul. I give you "a business that sets your soul on fire!" Mainly because, it's something I have experienced myself of late....
However, it's been a bit of a rocky road to get here.
And that's what I wanted to really explore with you, because - let's be real, for the most part, we get into our own business, online or otherwise, because we're sick of building somebody else's empire and doing work that we're not passionate about, or enjoying. We lack a sense of purpose or feeling we're making a positive impact more broadly, in the traditional 9-5 grind.
I know that you'll relate to a sense of "I want more freedom". But even more than that, I want to be able to channel my gifts and do work that truly matters that makes a positive impact..... that also provides me with a heart centred, fulfilling expression of my gifts.

Coming off the back of The Frequency Project's September launch, the topic of launching has been front and centre in my world. And it got me thinking about launching in general and how it fits with our Human Design.
Spoiler alert - I don't believe launching to be something that feels easy, OR that it only works for certain types...but more of that inside. But it's definitely powerful and has absolutely catapulted my impact (and income) forward over the years.
In this episode I reflect on my experience across no less than 20 launches (over the past four years), the varying launch strategies I've implemented and the impact on my business (multiple six figures in sales and too many ideal clients to count).

Multiplying Your Marketing Impact with Human Design Transits episode #141

In this episode we explore the Human Design transits and how they influence your life, business and of course your marketing.
Firstly through the lens of the past 7 days in my business, which had some challenges under the Suns transit into gate 18 (you need to listen for all the details!). Like in Astrology, as the planets move throughout the year, the Human Design chart changes. The key difference is the journey through 64 gates (vs 12 signs)
Given this pace, the SUN gate activated on the "just now" human design chart changes every six to seven days...and the energy of every planetary change is sped up (vs astrology).
As this primary placement (the sun) shifts so rapidly, it's reflected in the way people are thinking and feeling.GEEK NOTE; it's actually astounding when you learn the impact of HD at the collective level, where you can draw parallels to major external events
So what does this have to do with marketing.
Understanding where the Sun and Mercury are positioned (the gates activated) will give you insight into the mood & receptivity of your audience to different styles of messaging.
If you're a generator type this is also a stimulus to respond to, and that's a sacral sweet spot.
Or if you like to plan your content in advance, you can even look at the "future" chart to align your content.
It's worth knowing that the more open space you have in your chart, the greater the effect of the transits on how you feel.
This is also going to affect your audience, in terms of energetics.
Whatever way you look at it, this is powerful intelligence and you can now look forward to weekly updates of where these two planets are placed ✨✨✨✨.

In today’s episode, I'm sharing a personal reflection that came to me during a business retreat this past weekend (mid March 2024).
This is not your standard "learn about Human Design for Marketing" episode but I think it offers even more value. In fact for some of you it could be the message you most need to hear right now.
The big theme for today is ENERGY and the different ways we value it, when it comes to both Life Force and Money.
Because what I realised is that we don't generally value or prioritise our life-force in the same way we do money. Which is all sorts of ridiculous when you think about it..... fact is we can always make more money, but we only have a finite amount of life force. It genuinely is our most precious resource.
In this episode, as well as sharing the back story of the weekend and what's happened since, I offer you an invitation to consider this for yourself too. As in: what if you stopped putting all your attention on making more money and became more focussed on maximising your energetic life force?
I have a feeling that in doing so, you will end up with more of both.
It sounds unbelievable, but it's 100% true - my income in 2024, is up by 370% YTD.
But I'm not here to throw around big numbers without giving you a whole lot of context as well.
In this episode I take you through the past almost 18 months, along a journey that started our very difficult at the beginning (in true Gate 3 Personality Sun fashion).

A Human Design approach to regaining motivation after grief: episode #164

In this short episode I star with a personal share - the sad news of the loss of my furry bestie Chilli

Hi all, in this episode I'm diving into a topic close to my heart and that's something I have strived so much to excel at, ie, getting paid to do what I love and what makes me #litupandliberated - true generator style! Which is my definition of abundance.
Now, regardless of your Human design type, you do realize that you got into business and became entrepreneurs because you wanted to do the work that; you love doing.. that is fulfilling.. that has a positive impact on others.. and to have a sense of freedom to live your life the way you want to live it -
..which means it requires us to be paid for doing that work. And that is the definition of true abundance for most of us.
And today, we are exploring this from the lens of Human Design gate 14 (affluence) which is transiting right now as I record this. I interpret this energy for marketing as energy of monetizing our gifts and skills.
We are exploring deeper topics like:
Overcoming self-compromise - which is the shadow frequency of gate 14
Breaking patterns of people-pleasing and self-sabotage (true personal story)
Attracting abundance through personal alignment yet not masking internal blocks behind it

Human Design meets AI, a love-hate journey | Episode 179

In today's episode, I am diving into topic that sparks both fascination and friction for many of us, that is, AI!
The arch-journey I went through (I am assuming I am not alone in this) with the initial excitement about AI, then the frustration and resistance aka friction in using AI - to then coming back to accepting the innovative side of AI with curiosity and 'play' (hello my Gate 3).
Now, as a sacral being focused on doing work that feels aligned and fulfilling, AI felt like the ultimate collaboration partner - at first - ie, cost-efficient, fast, and able to handle tasks that otherwise felt draining. It was a game-changer for speeding up processes and taking some of the grind out of running a small business.
But on the flip side, I noticed a disconnect. The copy produced didn’t feel like my voice, which is a cornerstone of my brand and authenticity. As someone who loves writing and crafting content, relying on AI for this took some of the joy out of my creative process.
Well, this is the tension / friction I am exploring today and I am certain many business owners can relate to this.

But as I sat with it, I remembered what I’ve learned about my Human Design. The challenge of Gate 3 is chaos, but its gift is innovation, and that’s exactly what I leaned into.

RECALIBRATE: Lesson 2 of 12 Lessons from 2024 Series | Episode 182

February 2024 was a transformative month for my business as I moved back into action mode (after the holidays).
In this episode, I recount the steps taken to evolve the Frequency Project by introducing a mix of pre-recorded modules and live coaching calls, which allowed the program to scale while maintaining its transformative impact.
BUT it was also a time of hustle that felt out of alignment and while I honoured that with the reward of an offline retreat after the push, we will talk more about that in the coming episodes (it's been a big theme for me in 2024).
The big lesson: the importance of scheduling time to recalibrate and to celebrate your efforts

In March, I took a hard look at my business model and how it was impacting my energy. Coming off the hustle of February, I realized that while my business was thriving financially, I was feeling burnt out. I had to ask myself: Is this sustainable, and am I truly lit up by what I’m creating?
March was the month of pivotal moves to get back into alignment. Especially, attending a business retreat in Byron Bay was an event that gave me clarity on how to shift my model and focus more on life-force energy as my primary metric of success. I also handed over significant parts of my YouTube channel operations to my senior VA, freeing up my time and reducing my stress.
Big lesson: When your energy feels drained or out of alignment, it’s time to pause, reevaluate, and make tough decisions - even if it means reworking what’s already "working."

April: My birthday month!
It started with a van-life camping trip with my nieces, just a couple of hours south of Sydney, and it became one of the most fulfilling experiences of my year. A beautiful reminder that it's not the things we possess or the luxuries we own - it’s the connections we nurture and the moments we share that truly matter.
Turning 53: This birthday was another opportunity to reflect on how far I’ve come. At 53, I feel more energized and aligned than ever- proof that it’s never too late to create a life filled with purpose and meaning. Sobriety, leaving corporate, and living authentically have all been significant steps on this journey.
On the business side, I began working with a new business coach, kicking off a six-month container with an in-person retreat in Byron Bay.
I decided to invest in turning The Frequency Project into an evergreen offer shifting my focus from live launch model to a more sustainable business model.
A spontaneous “birthday bonanza” promotion brought in an additional $5K for the month. So all the lit-up creativity and community vibes.
LETTING GO: Lesson 5 of 12 Lessons from 2024 | Episode 185

May marked my final live launch for the Frequency Project this year, and I’d prepared meticulously for it, with high hopes + some good $$$ ad-spend. Amidst the intensity of launch season, I attended the first Australian Human Design Conference, an event that reminded me of the power of showing up despite challenges. It was heartwarming to connect with so many people who had been following my work, yet the trip was cut short by a family emergency. This sudden shift brought clarity: no matter how important business feels, family and personal priorities will always come first.
Looking back, the biggest lesson May taught me was the importance of letting go of expectations and embracing the experiment.
In entrepreneurship, outcomes are never guaranteed, and placing too much weight on results can take a toll on our nervous system.
May served as a powerful reminder to focus on showing up, doing my best, and staying present, regardless of the highs and lows. I hope my reflections offer you some insight into navigating your own sales cycles and the balance between effort and surrender.
LOSS AND PRIORITIES : Lesson 6 of 12 Lessons from 2024 | Episode 186

Experiencing the biggest loss of my life... June was one of the hardest times of my life, but I’m grateful I was able to step away from my business to be fully present for what mattered most - family.
Losing a parent is massive, and it shifts everything. But it also brought such deep connection with my family and a newfound clarity about what I want for my business.
The lesson? Family is everything. And the highlight? Realizing that my business can keep going, even when I need to step away, and committing to creating more of that freedom.

In this episode, I’m sharing a deeply personal September lesson - a month that brought both significant shifts in my business and one of the hardest losses of my life.
Grief has been my companion these past few months. I’ve learned that the measure of our grief is the measure of our love, and losing my beloved pet Chilli this September has been one of the hardest things I’ve faced.
The biggest lesson? Love fiercely! Hold your pets and your people close. And don’t take a single moment for granted.
Life changes, sometimes when we least expect it. But we find resilience, and we move forward, one step at a time.

October was a month of contrasts, processing grief from the last month but also experiencing abundance in new possible ways.
October brought new energy.
My business hit a major milestone with daily recurring sales across my ecosystem, including The Frequency Project’s new evergreen format. Seeing my offers sell daily without needing to show up live gave me so much confidence in the systems I’ve been building all year.
Mid-month, I traveled to Bali for a retreat that blended business, healing, and fun. It was the perfect reset, filled with water ceremonies, goal-setting, spa days, and creating connections with an amazing group of women. Travel always helps me recalibrate after big emotional shifts, and Bali delivered exactly what I needed.
Reflecting on this month, I’ve learned to catch myself when I’m catastrophizing around money and refocus on feeling secure within myself. This year has been full of lessons, and October was no exception.

In this episode, we’re diving into November, and wow, it was a ride. November brought a mix of magical and heavy moments. I finally launched the evergreen funnel for the Frequency Project - something that took focused effort but is now live and welcoming new students in.
I also wrapped up my six-week program, Build Your Human Design Business, which sold out with eight amazing participants and felt so aligned and fulfilling to create.
November was also filled with travel. From road-tripping to Byron Bay to attending a Hosier concert with my family in the Hunter Valley, it was a month of movement and highlights. But amidst the external wins and excitement, there were personal challenges too.
I found myself navigating waves of emotion, processing grief, and holding space for polarity - the reality that I can feel abundant in business and still be on a deep healing journey behind the scenes.
The biggest lesson November taught me is that both light and dark can coexist. I can thrive in my work and still hold space for the parts of myself that need healing, and that duality is okay.

DECLUTTERING FOR GROWTH: Lesson 7 of 12 Lessons from 2024 | Episode 187

We are continuing our series on the 12 Lessons of 2024.
This is Lesson 7, and July was a month of transition, reflection, and forward momentum.
I shared how July followed the challenging energy of June after my father’s passing. It was a productive work month where I refocused on my business after taking three weeks offline.
I am sharing how my focus shifted to heavy decluttering both literally and energetically, eg, old ways of working, personal clutter, unhealthy habits, and even a close friendship.
This process of release created space for what’s next, both in my business and life. I also launched two major projects and ended the month with a beautiful trip to India with my long-term client.
It was a busy but transformative month that set the foundation for big changes to come.
PATIENCE & TRUST: Lesson 8 of 12 Lessons from 2024 | Episode 188

In this episode of our special series on 12 lessons from 2024, we’re diving into lesson eight, reflecting on August.
I started the month in India, joining my private client Tricia on a yoga retreat in Rishikesh. And also setting a personal goal to generate $2,000 in passive income while largely offline - and it happened! Listen to the full story in the episode.
Other highlight for the month of August was working with a coach who helped me stay grounded through it all, and I kept reminding myself that slowing down now was paving the way for long-term success.
On a lighter note, I also reconnected with my love of fashion in August. Sharing little glimpses of my work-from-home outfits on Instagram started as a fun, creative outlet but quickly became a way to bring more authenticity into my brand. It’s a reminder that letting your personality shine, even in ways that feel unrelated to your business, can create meaningful connections with your audience.
The biggest takeaway from August: Big change requires patience and trust. Slowing down can be uncomfortable, but it’s often necessary to build something even better.
