Welcome to our multi-character episode! Next week we'll be talking about the production, but first I need to introduce you to a few more people; book writer Arthur Laurents, set designer Oliver Smith, and producer Hal Prince.

I had the immense privilege to talk to Liza Gennaro, the daughter of "West Side Story" co-choreographer Peter Gennaro. We chatted about her father's work, how she moved from being a Broadway dancer to working as an academic, and we (respectfully) dunked on Jerome Robbins. I also tell a cute story about my mum.

In this interview I talk to David Weston, who spent a very long career in Shakespeare's plays. He was Ian McKellen's understudy in a world tour of King Lear. He kept a diary during that time which was published as Covering McKellen, which he followed up with Covering Shakespeare. I do some fangirling, and we chat about his career.

This week I chatted Chima Olujie, Alvin Ailey school alum, founder of Horton Technique Australia, and a fellow nerd.

We talked about the difference between modern dance and contemporary, as well as many of the great modern dance pioneers; Isadora Duncan, Martha Graham, Merce Cunningham, Jose Limon, Katherine Dunham and, of course, Lester Horton.
