It's a topic that often comes up when we talk to Agency Owners, so on this episode, we're chatting about the impact this can have on clients (Good news: it doesn't need to be a negative thing) and tips for how to help the transition. As of this moment, do you have an Account Manager SOP built out for your agency? If not, we highly recommend you get onto this. Not only is it best practice to have all your processes documented BUT having a detailed SOP really helps when your Account Manager is moving on. An SOP means that while it'll be a new face, the level of service stays the same! 🔥 Pro Tip: when communicating the change to clients, keep it positive – let them know you have a plan and that this won't affect their account's results. The Systems We Ensure Every Agency Has Systems are the backbone of any successful agency, we all know this. But how do we ensure each agency we're working with has the right systems so that we can jump in and keep their clients happy? Firstly, we look at the client onboarding system. This is one of the most important systems because it's the first experience the client has when they start working with your agency. A big part of our role as a Client Account Manager is to keep clients happy on an ongoing basis, so here are some questions:
These are all really important things to keeping clients happy on an ongoing basis. Next, is gifts! Who doesn't love receiving something in the mail? If we have something systematized, most likely inside of the agency's project management software, where we as a Client Account Manager are responsible for sending gifts, this makes it sooo much easier for us to manage the relationship! Also, when it comes down to resigning the contract in 3 months, it's more promising they'll extend their contract when we've had the chance to WOW the client & build a relationship over an extended period.
