After a rude awakening, the party of five indulged in an all-inclusive breakfast! With plates cleared and coffee consumed, the group split up to tend to their individual affairs before their commute commenced. It wasn't long before the pontoon was populated with a proliferation of wagons, and cargo was loaded up the ramp. The tidal river proved a gentle mode of transport, with the lapping of the water and the clanking of the chain calming the companions for the crossing. This idyllic interlude did not last long however, with the ferry grinding to a halt and a cry of 'vortex' in the air.
