Her grandfather Wilbern Saulsberry opened up the 1st black owned business in Columbus, Mississippi in 1947 called, "Wilbern's Shoe Shop", where he was a shoe repairman. He successfully retired in 1995. While graduating cosmetology school and earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology Lottie has always had a passion for hosting and cooking for her family and friends. So armed with determination and passion Lottie started her sweet treats business, "Lo Lou's Sweet Sensations" in 2017 after her youngest two graduated high school. The business is still expanding and since then Lottie has added more services and has also obtained her business license. Lottie has a strong desire to open a brick and mortar that will be able to house a few businesses under one roof. Being a devoted mother of 3 adult children it is her passion to leave a strong legacy. Lottie also believes that if you're not doing what you're passionate about, you're only existing and not living.

I had ideas about what getting older might entail however no tangible points of reference had been given. I was not prepared and have struggled in silence to navigate the changes of midlife.

My special guest April Davis CEO, and co-owner of Utopian Butterfly, LLC. . Utopian Beautiful products are all natural homemade wellness products for the face, body, and skin. April will share some daily facial routines and tips.  Utopian Butterfly began in July 2020 in the middle of a global pandemic and has taken off. April began making Sea Moss Gel and wanted to turn it into a whole health journey for the body inside and out. She currently currently have 2 permanent vendor spots setup and in conversation about another one.   The vendor spots are located in Lubulu Square African Arts in Jesup Georgia and Go Shop Jade Boutique in Brunswick Georgia.
