26 Feb 2025 | Susan Poupart (7 of Spades, Wisconsin) | 00:31:50
Our card this week is Susan "Susie" Poupart, the 7 of Spades from Wisconsin. When 29-year-old Susie went to a house party on her reservation, surrounded by friends and so close to home, she should’ve been safe. But when the mother of two left the party in a car with some younger men, things took a turn for the worse. Susie never made it home, and six months later, her remains were found in a nearby forest. The men Susie was last seen with became immediate suspects, but to this day, there just isn’t enough evidence to charge them with her murder… Or is there?
We found Susie's case back in 2021 while we set out to cover the case of Rhys Pocan, a 35-year-old Indigenous woman who was murdered in Wisconsin in the ‘80s. But while we were in the field, we uncovered a disturbing pattern of murders with similarities to Rhys’ that were just too blatant to ignore, including Susie's. So, we spent the next three years working with local and federal law enforcement to try and get to the bottom of it. 25 Sep 2024 | Ralph Salazar & Alice Griego (Ace of Hearts, Utah) | 00:20:44
Our card this week is Ralph Salazar and Alice Griego, the Ace of Hearts from Utah. Back in October of 2023, we were contacted by one of Alice Griego’s son, Frankie, about covering his mother’s case. He was a listener of The Deck and had previously heard us cover cases in Utah. Unknown to him, our reporting team had already flagged his mother’s case as one we needed to take a closer look at. Not just because it was unsolved, but because we felt it had never received the full coverage it deserved. And we are confident someone out there knows the truth. Maybe it’s time for that someone to come forward…

18 May 2022 | Owachige Osceola (8 of Diamonds, Oklahoma) | 00:30:18
Our card this week is Owachige Osceola (8 of Diamonds, Oklahoma) Recently divorced and living on her own in a new city, 27-year-old Owachige Osceola’s life was in a season of transition before she was killed in the bedroom of her Norman, Oklahoma apartment in September 2013. While the medical examiner who performed her autopsy concluded her cause and manner of death were “undetermined,” a detective who remains on the case today insists a killer has been allowed to walk free for nearly a decade.
Please join us in writing a letter to the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office calling for a formal independent review of the methodology used during Owachige’s autopsy. Below you will find a prompt you can use and the address to send the letter to.
(WHERE TO SEND) Mr. Gentner Drummond Oklahoma Attorney General's Office 313 NE 21st Street
To Whom It May Concern: I'm writing in regard to the criminal investigation related to the mysterious death of Ms. Owachige Osceola in September 2013, which is being conducted by the Norman Police Department. As you may be aware, Ms. Osceola's cause and manner of death were classified by the Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner as "undetermined" despite credible evidence that she was intentionally strangled to death in the bedroom of her apartment. After hearing concerns expressed by Norman Police Department investigators working this case and closely listening to details about the criminal investigation into her death as reported by Audiochuck Podcast Network's "The Deck," I'm deeply troubled that the medical examiner's office has been unwilling to reconsider its original ruling — directly hindering further investigative efforts to pursue justice for Ms. Osceola and her loved ones. I implore the Oklahoma Attorney General's Office to reexamine evidence in this case and to insist that the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner consider that Ms. Osceola's death was the result of a homicidal act. I also kindly request that this office publicly publish its conclusions in the matter. Respectfully, [YOUR FIRST & LAST NAME]

29 Jan 2025 | Agustin Chacon (King of Clubs, Texas) & Marshall McCarthy (5 of Hearts, Texas) | 00:35:22
Agustin Chacon, 25, and Marshall McCarthy, 37, were both shot to death in their homes in the same Odessa, Texas, neighborhood on the same winter night in 1982. While Marshall’s case nearly had too many leads for investigators to chase, Agustin’s hardly had any. A language barrier between police and Agustin’s roommates made things even harder. Now, more than 40 years later, one cold case detective is working through the different challenges in each case as she tries to solve both of these men’s murders.
Please share this episode with anyone you know who lives in Odessa or may know someone who does. She made great grades, was a star athlete, and was well-liked by her peers. Heading into her senior year, she already had plans to go to college to become a physical therapist, and there was no question, she had the brains and the talent to do just that. It would take a thief, a monster in the middle of the night, to take that away from her. But that’s exactly what happened one August evening, and her mother thinks she knows the true identity of this so-far untraceable culprit.

19 Oct 2022 | Brian Sullivan (3 of Spades, New York) | 00:30:04
Our card this week is Brian Sullivan, the 3 of Spades from New York. One July morning in 2007, 19-year-old Brian Sullivan made some calls to a friend, grabbed a hot breakfast from a local fast-food joint, then vanished, never to be seen or heard from again. For 15 years, Brian’s disappearance has haunted the greater Rochester, New York, area — and although investigators know beyond a reasonable doubt who was responsible, they haven’t been able to answer the one question left looming over their heads: where is Brian? If you know anything about where Brian Sullivan’s remains are hidden, please speak up. Call the Rochester Area Crime Stoppers — (585) 423-9300. You can remain anonymous. Or you can call the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office: (585) 753-4177. Brian’s parents are offering a $2,500 reward.

12 Oct 2022 | Dana Ramm (Jack of Hearts, California) | 00:35:36
Our card this week is Dana Ramm, the Jack of Hearts from California. When 20-year-old Dana Ramm’s body was found on the shoulder of Andrade Road, the Bay Area mourned her passing and wondered if a killer was lurking in the shadows. Dana disappeared forever while waiting for two friends, Tracy and Cody, at a Bay Area gas station one night in December 1986. Even though Dana’s body was identified the day after she disappeared, it’s been almost 36 years since she was slain, and police still haven’t thawed her cold case. The clock is ticking, but investigators are hopeful that they’ll one day give closure to Dana’s friends and family. If you think you know who Happy is, or if you know anything about what happened to Dana Ramm in December 1986, call the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office cold case homicide unit at 510-667-3636.
