27 Oct 2023 | 68| 321 Method For Better Sleep | 00:14:52
What is up, my friends? Today, I am discussing a common struggle many of us face: sleepless nights. I recently helped a client transform his life by revolutionizing his sleep routine, and the changes were nothing short of astounding. We explored a simple yet powerful approach I call the 3-to-1 method for better sleep. This method focuses on creating effective systems rather than fixating on outcomes, ensuring sustainable results. My client, a chronic night owl, used to hit his pillow at around 2 a.m. only to be rudely awakened at 6 a.m. due to his responsibilities, but with a combination of small tweaks, we managed to shift his schedule. By stopping food intake three hours before bedtime, avoiding liquids two hours prior, and donning blue light blockers an hour before, he found himself peacefully asleep by 10 p.m., waking up refreshed at 6 a.m. These changes weren't just about adding hours to his slumber; they led to an incredible surge in his energy levels, transforming his daily life. I hope that you will join me today as I unpack this game-changing 3-to-1 method. It's not just about getting more sleep; it's about creating a sustainable system that can revolutionize your energy, focus, and overall well-being! With three simple steps, better sleep awaits you! If you get some helpful insight out of this episode, then please be sure to subscribe on your favorite podcast app if you aren’t subscribed already so that you never miss a new episode, and if you would share the podcast with at least one other person you know who might also enjoy it and leave me a five-star review, that really helps me and the show out and would really mean a lot to me!
Time Stamps 1:02 - I share how a client struggled with sleep, often delaying bedtime until 2 a.m. 3:55 - Establishing habits, like brushing teeth before bedtime, involves automated routines. 4:55 - To improve sleep, use proven systems for quick and uninterrupted sleep. 6:45 - I share the 3-1 method, the first step being to stop eating at least three hours before bed. 7:49 - The second step is to stop drinking at least two hours before bed. 9:23 - The third and final step is to use blue light blockers an hour before bed. 12:16 - I remind you that achieving goals relies on effective systems. 13:22 - Good sleep leads to so many other good things in life! 25 Jan 2022 | 38| What I Learned From Giving Up Porn and Masturbation for 8+ Years | 01:14:18
Today's topic is somewhat of a personal, taboo one, so I was initially a bit hesitant to cover it but decided that it was too important not to. I am sharing with you my journey of how and why I gave up watching pornography, which I gave up nearly a decade ago. Joining me in this discussion is my friend Danny Miranda, who I asked to come on to the show because of his adept skill at asking questions and interviewing people. He, again, helps me tackle the hows and whys behind my having given up masturbation and watching pornography and what kinds of effects that that has had on my brain, how I perceive women, and my life in general. Listen in as I touch upon what event in my life prompted me to realize that I needed to stop watching pornography and masturbating and how I was using it not necessarily to physically pleasure myself but more so as an emotional crutch and coping mechanism. I touch upon the changes and benefits that I noticed in my life when I initially decided to give it up, and I also offer up some tips and advice to anyone who, as I did, is starting to realize that watching porn is detrimental to their lives, as well as some tips on how to find a significant other! I emphasize that if you do wish to get rid of a negative habit such as getting off to porn, you want to replace that habit with something that you also benefit from, or else you're just going to leave a vacuum. I really hope that this episode is helpful for you, and I am so thankful that you tuned in and am also grateful to Danny for his time! Welcome back to the show, everyone! I am truly excited to bring this interview to you, conversation with my good friend and inspirational mentor, Todd Herman! Todd has truly been helping me achieve my potential and become the best possible version of myself for years now. I hope that you’ll tune in because, while this is an interview in which Todd talks about himself and answers some of your burning questions, it’s also very much a journey of growth and transformation, a journey on which I hope you’ll join me. Based on the concept of his book The Alter Ego Effect, Todd and I dive deep into creating an alter ego identity that can help me expand as an entrepreneur and think bigger. Todd reveals much about the visionary side of my personal style of entrepreneurship. He then helps me probe even further to uncover the attributes holding me back in that visionary role. While it is certainly a bit uncomfortable, Todd encourages all of us to be bold and to seek out bigger opportunities by expressing my visions and wants more clearly, even if and maybe even especially if discomfort is part of the process. Working together, we identify the key traits that my alter ego persona would embody to help me break through: being a bold, authentic and strong decision maker. If I can connect to the right inspiration and build the right rituals, Todd explains how this alternate identity can become a tool for me to expand as an entrepreneur. I'm really excited to put this into practice and see where it takes me and, again, hope that you will listen in! If you enjoy this fun and different conversation with Todd, then I strongly encourage you to go check him out via the methods listed below. Be sure to also subscribe on your favorite podcast app if you aren’t subscribed already so that you never miss a new episode, and if you would share the podcast with at least one other person you know who might also enjoy it and leave me a five-star review, that really helps me and the show out!

04 Aug 2023 | 62| Dr. David Spiegel: How Hypnosis Can Help You Unlock Your Performance | 01:03:31
I am so excited about today's guest, Dr. David Spiegel, because I have been using his Reveri app myself for some time, and it has made a tremendous impact on my life. The ease of accessibility and profound yet simple changes the app provides has truly transformed my perspective. Dr. Spiegel discusses hypnosis and the essential differences between the actual psychological therapeutic process and stage hypnosis, emphasizing the importance of focusing on what you want, treating your body with respect, and feeling good from the moment you start. Reveri helps reconnect you with your childlike ability to learn and absorb information, and ultimately, by shifting your cognitive flexibility, entirely new perspectives become possible. Weight loss, better sleep, and even curbing addictions suddenly become much more attainable through hypnosis. Dr. Spiegel also shares his dream for the future - that millions more people will gain access to this life-changing tool through his app. As he mentions, the idea is to help as many people as possible live better, healthier lives and be kinder to themselves. I am truly grateful that Dr. Spiegel has made hypnosis accessible through technology for all of us to benefit, and I really appreciate his time coming on to the show. This was such a fun conversation, and I can't wait to have him back on. If you enjoy this conversation with Dr. Siegel, I encourage you to go to your app store and download Reveri! Please be sure to also subscribe on your favorite podcast app if you aren’t subscribed already, and if you would share the podcast with at least one other person you know who might also enjoy it and leave me a five-star review, that really helps the show out!

23 Sep 2022 | 48| Adam Smith - Healing the World Through Healing Your Attachment | 01:14:48
I have actually known today's guest for quite some time! Adam Lane Smith is a former psychologist turned attachment coach with a couple hundred thousand followers on TikTok and a strong following on Twitter, and he and I talk in this episode about, among other things, how attachments impact every single aspect of our lives. Adam defines attachment as how we connect with other human beings and give love to and receive love from them. What is the difference between healthy attachment and unhealthy attachment, and how do we know when the attachment is unhealthy? What are the symptoms of unhealthy attachment, and how can we create secure, healthy attachment instead? Adam dives into all of these questions and also goes down a great rabbit hole explaining how World War I and World War II impacted generations to come and how we emotionally operate. He also goes into so much more such as giving advice on how parents can foster secure attachments in their children, even in the event that both parents have to work 9-5 jobs and the children have to spend some time with sitters and/or daycare. I am so happy that Adam reached out and that we were able to do this, and I hope that you enjoy my conversation with him. If you do, then, if you aren't subscribed to the show already, please be sure to subscribe on your favorite podcast app! I would also really appreciate it if you would share the podcast with at least one other person you know who might also enjoy it and if you would leave me a five-star review!
