17 Nov 2024Hannah-Claire Brimelow: Big Surprises as Trump Assembles His Team 00:29:30
On this Sunday edition of The Daily Signal Podcast, we bring you a conversation with Hannah-Claire Brimelow on the Problematic Women podcast. It's a crossover episode! “Well, I didn't see that coming” has been a somewhat common refrain on Capitol Hill this week as President-elect Donald Trump announces his picks to lead his forthcoming administration. Trump has built his brand on breaking the mold of politics and continues the trend with his Cabinet appointments.  Not every choice has been a surprise. Susie Wiles has long been on Trump’s short list to be his chief of staff, given her years of loyalty to the president and her success in managing Trump’s reelection campaign. Wiles will make history as the first female chief of a president's staff.  And Tom Homan’s experience in Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, coupled with his positive relationship with Trump, made him an obvious choice for “border czar.” But some of Trump’s picks were unexpected, though not necessarily in a bad way. On this week's edition of "Problematic Women," Hannah-Claire Brimelow joins the show to discuss Trump's Cabinet picks and why some are so surprising. We also fact-check some recent abortion claims. Enjoy the show!

"But frankly, I think that I've asked for federal legislation along this way as well." Walters said improving education affects the whole state, and passing federal school choice legislation would improve the whole country.

26 Nov 2024Congressional Budget Fight Looms, Trump Cabinet Picks Who Face Upward Climb, 80 Million People Traveling This Thanksgiving | Nov. 2600:11:15
30 Oct 2024When Will We Know Who Won the Election?00:21:54
It’s a race to 270. With just six days until the 2024 presidential election, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are seeking to motivate voters in key swing states across the nation in hopes of picking up enough support to earn 270 electoral votes and claim victory.  Trump will speak to voters Wednesday afternoon in North Carolina’s 1st District, a region that is anticipated to determine which candidates win the state’s 16 electoral votes. Harris will only be an hour away, holding a rally in Raleigh, North Carolina.  In addition to North Carolina, states to watch on election night include Pennsylvania, Arizona, Nevada, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Georgia. And Heritage Action for America Executive Vice President Ryan Walker argues that Harris should not count on winning Virginia, despite the fact that President Joe Biden easily carried the state in 2020. The razor-thin margins in the swing states indicate that it may take several days for the American people to know who their next president will be, and some states, like Nevada, pose a unique challenge to determining a winner.  On Monday, the Nevada Supreme Court affirmed a lower court decision that mail-in ballots with no postmark can be received and counted until three days after the election.  There is, however, a chance the winner will be known on election night, according to Walker. "I think that the energy and enthusiasm gap is such this year that we'll know a significant amount of information going into Election Day," Walker said. "And if we can extrapolate those numbers and compare them to Election Day results in previous years or get some initial data on exit polling, there is a chance that the winner could be declared on election night despite some of these states having late arrival votes that they're still counting." Walker joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to discuss the key issues on the minds of voters this election, and to predict when the presidential election will be called.

28 Aug 2024Why Rebuilding After Maui Fire Is Taking So Long00:19:51
Cleanup after wildfires is inherently more difficult than recovery from other natural disasters, according to Brian Cavanaugh, a visiting fellow for Cybersecurity, Intelligence, and Homeland Security at The Heritage Foundation. Unlike a hurricane, which mainly creates wind and water damage, Cavanaugh says, fires damage the structural integrity of buildings and often leave dangerous chemicals behind.  “Wildfire rolls through a community, and you essentially lose everything all the way down to the foundation,” says Cavanaugh, who has former senior-level experience serving in the Department of Homeland Security, at the White House, and at the Federal Emergency Management Agency. “Now, you think once you've lost everything down to the foundation, start the rebuild process, but, everything as it burns leaves chemicals and other items on the ground. You've got to pick up the personal effects that are salvageable. [There are] a lot of environmental regulations involved with wildfire, so that all takes time.” Aug. 8 marked one year since a wildfire raged through Lahaina, Hawaii, on Maui. The fire took 102 lives and “destroyed more than 2,200 structures and caused about $5.5 billion in damages,” according to the U.S. Fire Administration.  Cavanaugh, a senior vice president at American Global Strategies, joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to explain what led to the Lahaina fire and what the status of the rebuilding process is a year after the disaster.  Enjoy the show!
31 Oct 2024What to Know About Latest Russia-North Korea Alliance00:19:38
Russia and North Korea have a long history of partnership, but it is unclear if the relationship “is a true alliance or more a marriage of convenience,” according to Bruce Klingner, a senior research fellow in the Asian Studies Center at The Heritage Foundation.   “The longer it goes on, it seems a bit more of an alliance,” Klingner says. “The two leaders, [Vladimir] Putin and Kim [Jong Un], signed a strategic partnership agreement earlier this year where they pledged to help defend each other, and Putin has sort of cited that as a reason for justifying North Korean troops being there because they're defending Russia against attacks by not only Ukraine, but he claims NATO,” Klingner explains.  The Pentagon announced Monday that North Korea has sent about 10,000 troops to Russia to aid in Russia’s fight against Ukraine.  In exchange for troops, Klingner says North Korea is receiving “funding, getting cash, both direct and indirectly, likely food deliveries, fuel deliveries, and what is particularly worrisome is concerns that it may also be getting military technology.”  Klingner joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to discuss the relationship between Russia and North Korea and what the two countries' latest partnership means for the war in Ukraine.

02 Aug 2024Sen. Marshall: Google Is 'Using Algorithms to Campaign Against’ Trump00:23:34
Sen. Roger Marshall says he will launch an investigation into Google after the search engine suppressed content related to the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.  Google is “no longer functioning as a search engine that just assimilates” information, says Marshall, R-Kan., “but now they're using algorithms to campaign against President Trump.”  Initiating a Google search of “assassination attempt on president,” quickly reveals that Trump’s name is not within the autofill of suggested searches, although former Presidents Harry Truman, Gerald Ford, and Ronald Reagan are.  Google enjoys legal protections under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. Those protections shield Google and other platforms, such as Facebook and X, from civil liability for the content users of the platform generate. But if Google wants to act as a publisher, like a news outlet, they should not enjoy Section 230 protections, Marshall says.  The Kansas Republican is calling on Google to explain what he regards as content suppression, but says he thinks that “if we had a strong commander in chief, that they would be intervening already.” Marshall joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to discuss the investigation into what he asserts is Google’s content suppression.  Marshall also weighs in on the plea deal reached with three terrorists behind the 9/11 attacks, including Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, described as the mastermind of the attacks. The deal takes the death penalty off the table for the terrorists imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in exchange for them pleading guilty to a number of charges, including the murders of nearly 3,000 people on Sept. 11, 2001. The Kansas lawmaker explains why he thinks the deal is a “slap in the face” to the men and women who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, and all who still suffer from physical injuries because of the terrorist attacks.  Enjoy the show!
08 Oct 2024Americans Can Now Own a Piece of a Conservative Credit Card Company00:19:40

With steady growth in its first three years from a value of $25 million to $105 million, Coign is now giving its customers the opportunity to own a part of the company for as little as a $500 investment. “If you're interested in the conservative economy, and you're interested in what I call the parallel economy, and you're looking for a good company ... it's an opportunity to grow something,” Collins says. Collins joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to explain how Americans can invest in the credit card company, to discuss the conservative organizations the company has donated to, and how Coign is providing aid to those hard hit by Hurricane Helene.
09 Aug 2024‘We Took the Life of Our First Daughter’: Redemption After Abortion00:21:45
For years, Jeff and Tricia Bradford kept their abortion a secret from their friends and church community.  “We hid our story, because of the deep shame and regret that we had,” Jeff Bradford says.  The couple was engaged when Tricia, then 20, learned she was pregnant. "Fear didn't waste a second coming into that conversation and shame," she said. "And so, we just immediately thought, ‘What are we going to do?’" The couple reached out to a family member and received some “terrible advice,” the husband says, adding that a few days later, he and his wife “ended up at Planned Parenthood, and we took the life of our first daughter, and we didn't talk about it for 17 years.”  Even being active members in their church, the couple says, they “sat in the pew silent” because no one in their community talked about the issue of life or abortion. But counseling and a connection with two pro-life leaders led the couple down a road that changed their lives. Today, Jeff Bradford serves as president of Human Coalition, a pro-life organization that aims to help women choose life, and the couple have four children. Now, 32 years after aborting their first baby, the Bradfords are sharing their story in their new book, “Beauty from Ashes: A Christian Couple’s Journey From Abortion to Redemption.”  The couple joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to share their story and encourage churches across the country to be intentional about providing care for women who have had abortions.  Enjoy the show!

08 Aug 2024Biden’s Supreme Court ‘Reforms’ Are ‘Shameful’ and ‘Dangerous,’ Legal Expert Warns00:25:30
President Joe Biden’s proposed changes to the Supreme Court are “shameful” and “dangerous,” legal expert John Malcolm says. Last week, Biden announced a “bold plan to reform the Supreme Court,” including ending lifetime appointments in favor of 18-year terms, implementation of an enforceable code of ethics, and an attempt to reverse the U.S. Supreme Court's recent ruling on presidential immunity. “It is attempting to attack the integrity of the court and to destroy the independence of the one body that is supposed to be apolitical,” says Malcolm, senior legal fellow and vice president of the Institute for Constitutional Government at The Heritage Foundation. Malcolm joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to explain the likelihood of any of Biden’s three proposals actually being implemented, and what each would mean for the integrity of the Supreme Court. 12 Oct 2024Sticking With Trump: CEO’s Sign Makes a Big Statement in Small-Town America00:16:54
Anthony Constantino grew up in Amsterdam, New York, at a time when the city was bustling with activity. In the years that followed, however, many of the manufacturing jobs disappeared, leaving its factories empty and its residents without work. Rather than flee upstate New York, Constantino instead co-founded Sticker Mule in 2010. The company makes products ranging from magnets and stickers (hence the name) to buttons and T-shirts. Today, it employs about 1,000 people in the Amsterdam area. And until recently, Sticker Mule was known for its products—not its politics. That changed on the day former President Donald Trump survived an assassin’s bullet. Fed up with the hatred toward Trump, Constantino posted on Sticker Mule’s X account an appeal to “help end the hate.” In that post on the night of July 13, he also declared his support for Trump. "I've been seeing the hate directed at President Trump and his supporters for the last eight years. And I don't like it,” Constantino told The Daily Signal in an interview Friday. “When a bullet hit President Trump, I spoke up, and I've been doing everything I can to try to stop the hate.” Since that fateful night in July, Constantino hasn’t slowed down. This week, he unveiled a massive 100-foot-wide sign atop his Amsterdam factory along the Mohawk River. He spoke with The Daily Signal about the sign—and the controversy that ensued—for a special episode of our podcast. Illuminated in white and red letters, the “Vote for Trump” sign nearly landed Constantino in jail for allegedly violating zoning rules and distracting drivers. “As soon as the local Democrat mayor heard about the excitement and the enthusiasm for the sign, he got a restraining order issued against me, blocking me from displaying the sign under threat of jail time,” Constantino explained. “My lawyer said, Anthony, if you show that sign, you're going to end up in jail. I thought they were joking; they were serious.” A judge’s last-minute order spared him. Monday’s celebration proceeded as planned with thousands of onlookers. Constantino’s new political action committee—Sticker PAC—produced a video casting the controversy as a “fight for free speech.” Even if Constantino’s advocacy for Trump displeases some of Sticker Mule’s customers, the CEO isn’t planning to stay silent when it comes to politics. “I'm very proud of my organization for the way they've handled all this and they've endured all this. They stayed focused on doing exciting things for our customers, exciting things for the business,” he said. “Everyone stuck by my side. We haven't lost a single employee." Constantino told The Daily Signal that he remains motivated to stop the political division in America and bring the country together. He believes Trump is the leader who can do it.

Podcast host for The Daily Wire and bestselling author Andrew Klavan's newest mystery novel examines American culture without being a political book. 22 Nov 2024The Nuclear Option: Unleashing America’s Energy Future (Bonus Interview)00:52:38
Nuclear power stands at a critical crossroads in America. With growing demands for electricity and a desire from the incoming Trump administration to bolster America’s energy independence, nuclear energy has the potential to transform our future. So what’s preventing the United States from experiencing a nuclear revolution? In a groundbreaking new book, Heritage Foundation senior research fellow Jack Spencer argues nuclear power can be a dynamic, market-driven energy source—but only if government gets out of the way. “Nuclear Revolution: Powering the Next Generation” (Optimum Publishing International) makes the case that regulatory barriers have made nuclear power unnecessarily expensive rather than the economically competitive energy source it should be. Purchase your copy: https://www.heritage.org/NuclearRevolution Today, a maze of outdated regulations are stifling innovation while doing little to enhance safety. Spencer spoke with The Daily Signal to explain the challenges facing the nuclear industry and how it could power America in the future. 05 Sep 2024Scott Rasmussen's 2024 Election Breakdown: Polling Surprises and Swing State Showdowns00:27:22
Scott Rasmussen shares his insights on the latest polling data and discusses the political landscape as the presidential race enters the critical month of September.  With only small margins separating Donald Trump and Kamala Harris in swing states, the presidential race remains highly competitive with no clear leader emerging yet. Several of those swing states—Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina, and Georgia—are up for grabs, while the prize of Pennsylvania appears likely to determine the outcome of the election.  Rasmussen also examines Harris' rise as the Democrat nominee after Joe Biden's withdrawal, analyzing her policy positions and the public's reaction to her candidacy. Harris’ policy proposals, such as unrealized capital gains tax and price controls, are generally unpopular. Rasmussen notes that voters still have strong opinions about Trump, and despite his policy advantages, some remain hesitant to vote for him.  The conversation also touches on broader political themes, such as how voters perceive "progressive Democrats" vs. "MAGA Republicans." While neither term is particularly popular, progressive Democrats fare better unless specific issues like border security or parental involvement in education are emphasized.   Rasmussen emphasizes the importance of candidates focusing on issues rather than personalities, using Trump's 2016 campaign as an example where issue-based discourse proved effective.

27 Nov 2024Russia’s ‘Mock Nuclear Strike’ on Ukraine Sends Clear Message to US, Expert Says00:19:21
Last week, Russia fired an intermediate range ballistic missile at Ukraine. The missile, according to nuclear deterrence and missile defense expert Robert Peters, is designed to carry multiple nuclear warheads, sending a clear message to Washington to “knock it off.”  Since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war, America has told Ukraine that it could use the provided weapons only within the “borders of Ukraine to expel the Russian forces,” says Peters, who before becoming a research fellow at The Heritage Foundation served as the lead strategist at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.  Then, in mid-November, President Joe Biden gave Ukraine permission to use U.S.-supplied long-range missiles to hit targets inside Russia. Ukraine wasted no time in firing one.  Almost immediately afterward, Russia issued a new doctrine on its use of nuclear weapons. As Peters summarizes it, Russia warns “that if anyone conducts deep, penetrating strikes inside of Russia to include using conventional missiles or aircraft or even drones, Russia reserves the right to respond with nuclear weapons.”  Russia also said that a nation that supplied the weapons also could become the target of a retaliatory nuclear strike by Russia.  Russia’s decision to fire the ballistic missile Thursday at Ukraine can be considered a “mock nuclear strike,” Peters says.  Russian President Vladimir Putin “doesn't want a nuclear war,” Peters says. “He doesn't want to fight the United States. But he really, really can't stand that we're giving [Ukraine] these kinds of precise, long-range, deep-penetrating strike capabilities. And he's trying to get us to stop, and he may be willing to use these [nuclear] weapons. It's hard to say.”  Peters joins this episode of “The Daily Signal Podcast” to discuss how the U.S. should proceed in its foreign policy with Ukraine, why a nuclear war would look different than many Americans imagine, and the likelihood that World War III might be approaching.

04 Sep 2024Congress Is Soon to Return. Expect a Fight Over the Budget.00:19:55
The House of Representatives returns next week to Washington, and a budget fight showdown is expected. The fiscal year ends Sept. 30, and Congress is tasked with having the fiscal 2025 budget ready to go by then, but it’s all but guaranteed it won't be.  “What usually happens at this time is, we'll get to the September 30th deadline, and we've seen this happen for years, regardless of who's running the show, but we'll kick the can down the road maybe a few weeks,” Rep. Michael Cloud, R-Texas, explains.  The “can,” in this case, is the fiscal 2025 budget blueprint, and the “kick” is a continuing resolution that funds the government, usually for several weeks or months at a time.   It has become the habit of Congress a day or two before Christmas to “have this massive Christmas tree of an omnibus bill that gets passed that few people have read [because it’s] thousands of pages long, [includes] gobs amount of money, and doesn't really do the American people the service that they deserve from their Congress,” Cloud says.  The Texas congressman says he's doing everything he can to return the nation to fiscally responsible spending, noting that members of his own party are also partly responsible for the out-of-control spending in Washington.  “With the Left in charge, they raced toward this fiscal cliff, and Republicans, when we've been in charge, we jog toward that same cliff and call that progress,” Cloud laments. “I'm not willing to settle for something that doesn't put us on the right path going forward.”  Cloud joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to discuss how Congress can take significant steps toward balancing the U.S. federal budget, and how the election could affect the financial fight in Congress this fall.

04 Oct 2024Series Pt. 3: Want to Pay in Cryptocurrency? In Louisiana, Now You Can.00:23:55
In a move toward modern financial practices, Louisiana residents can now pay for state services using cryptocurrency.  “Louisiana has always, I think, lagged behind other states when it comes to doing things that are in modern commerce,” Louisiana state Treasurer John Fleming says, adding that he hopes to change that.  Cryptocurrency is “going to have a huge role” in the future of finance, Fleming says. Sometimes referred to as digital currency, cryptocurrency does not require a bank account. Louisiana is now accepting bitcoin, bitcoin lightning, and USD coin payments. The first cryptocurrency payment was made to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries on Sept. 17. The digital currency payments are converted into dollars following the transaction, Fleming explains. The Louisiana treasurer joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” for the third installment of the show’s money and transparency series.  In addition to explaining why the state is now accepting cryptocurrency payments, Fleming discusses his efforts to eliminate the Louisiana state income tax.
17 Oct 2024Trump's Unexpected Allies: Are Black and Hispanic Voters Really Ditching Democrats?00:24:55
Recent polling suggests that some traditionally Democrat-leaning voters, particularly black and Hispanic men, appear to be reconsidering their political allegiances. Their concerns about the high cost of living and rising crime have them trending toward former President Donald Trump, which could make them the deciding factor in the 2024 presidential election. Gabriel Nadales, national director of Our America, spoke with The Daily Signal about these surprising developments—and shared first-hand accounts of why voters are switching sides. Watch our full interview in the video above. “It’s kind of insane that there are so many Hispanic Americans out there who are very much voting for Trump,” Nadales said. “They see that, unfortunately, the Democrat Party no longer represents them.” Nadales’ organization, Our America, is active in the key battleground states of Arizona and Georgia, attempting to unite Americans at a time when it seems we’re hopelessly divided. Our America has organized local events with the goal of inspiring Americans to be active citizens in their local communities. “If you want to affect policy at the national level,” Nadales explained, “you have to get people engaged at the local level with things that they actually can directly affect to show them that they can make a difference in long term.” The group’s core issues are promoting safer communities, lowering the cost of living, defending freedom of speech, and ensuring fair elections. But there are still many unknowns about AI, including major legal questions about the ways the technology should be governed, and which AI-generated speech is, or is not, protected under the First Amendment.  Generative AI, in its most basic form, is “trained on vast amounts of data,” according to Ryan Bangert, senior vice president of strategic initiatives at Alliance Defending Freedom. “It ingests petabytes of information in order to learn how human language works, in order to understand how it is that human syntax grammar is structured, and then it predicts what comes next.” Generative AI is “not a mind, it's not a consciousness, it's not a human being,” Bangert says. “It's a piece of software, a very complex piece of software, that's fulfilling an algorithmic function.” Therefore, he adds, generative AI is “not a First Amendment rights-bearing entity.” In their new paper, “The Ghost in the Machine: How Generative AI Will Test the Bounds of the First Amendment,” Bangert and Jeremy Tedesco, senior vice president of corporate engagement at Alliance Defending Freedom, parse the relationship between AI and the First Amendment.  Bangert and Tedesco join “The Daily Signal Podcast” to discuss the fight to protect free speech amid rapidly changing AI technology use.

16 Oct 2024Indiana’s Aggressive Divestment From China00:17:10
State leaders in Indiana have taken significant steps to divest from China and from the environmental, social, and governance agenda.  “We have the good fortune in Indiana to have a Legislature that is on top of making sure that we divest from Chinese entities and from ESG-focused funds,” Indiana state Comptroller Elise Nieshalla says.  The ESG agenda has benefited China through its promotion of solar and wind energy, and electric vehicle batteries, all which China mass produces.  While some state asset managers are promoting investment in solar panels and EV batteries for electric vehicles in the name of “clean energy,” Nieshalla contends the methods China is using to produce those goods are far from clean.  “I think we have seen a true hypocrisy,” she says, “because while … the whole ESG movement has been putting intense pressure on the United States toward renewable energy and to move away from reliable energy—i.e., coal, oil and gas—they are making significant investments in fossil fuels in China, India, Brazil, and [those nations] do not implement the clean energy technology that we do with fossil fuels.”  The energy agenda moving away from coal, oil, and gas is not only benefiting China, but also harming the U.S. economy at a time when the U.S. is burdened with a national debt of more than $35 trillion.  Nieshalla joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to discuss the ways Indiana has successfully divested from China and the ESG agenda, and how other states can follow suit.

23 Sep 2024Goya CEO: ‘No,’ Trump’s Pro-Border Security Agenda Won’t Cost Him Hispanic Vote00:24:31
Hispanic voters who came to the country legally are “not for people just coming over the border” illegally, Goya Foods CEO Bob Unanue says.  “No,” Unanue said, when asked whether former President Donald Trump’s border policies would cost him the Hispanic vote in the 2024 presidential election.  The CEO is a longtime supporter of Trump and was thrust into the political spotlight four years ago after stating publicly that the U.S. was “blessed” to have Trump as president. The remark triggered calls from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, D-N.Y., and others to boycott the Goya brand, which sells its products in the U.S. and many Spanish-speaking countries.  The boycott failed, and “business has been great” since then, Unanue says.  Unanue remains a vocal Trump supporter, and in his new book, “Blessed, Donald J. Trump, and the Spiritual War,” he explains why he thinks Trump is the leader America needs at this moment in history.  The chairman of the Hispanic Leadership Coalition, Unanue, whose grandfather immigrated to America from Spain, joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to discuss the biggest issues on the minds of Hispanic voters and why he is an unapologetic Trump supporter.
16 Sep 2024News Flash: Bias In Media Is Not New, Seasoned Journalist Says00:24:30
John Miller entered the field of journalism in Washington D.C. in the early 1990s. There were only a handful of outlets staffing conservative commentary writers at the time, and, even then, Miller says he remembers being frustrated by the liberal bias in the media.  “This notion that, you know, a generation ago we used to have objective reporters at The New York Times is nonsense,” Miller, executive director of The College Fix, says. “I mean, they were doing the same thing back then, also pretending they were something they were not. They were putting their finger on the scale constantly when they were covering elections, and candidates, and debates, and Congress, and so forth.”  Today, Miller argues that conservative have “a louder voice today than they've ever had before in the media.” But the challenge now, according to Miller, “is populating this media with good writers, with good talkers, people who can make podcasts and so on. And lots of folks are doing it, obviously, but we need more people coming in and more talented people coming in.”  In addition to leading The College Fix, Miller also serves as director of the journalism program at Hillsdale College, where he daily takes part in training young conservative journalists. He is a board member of The Daily Signal.  Miller joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to discuss what has, and has not, changed in the field of journalism, and how he is actively working to train young conservative journalists.

07 Aug 2024Victor Davis Hanson Unpacks Trump's Appeal00:31:52
In an interview with The Daily Signal, renowned historian Victor Davis Hanson discusses the updated edition of his bestselling book, "The Case for Trump." Months before the 2024 presidential election, Hanson offers fresh insights into the remarkable political comeback of Donald Trump. Hanson covers recent events—from legal battles to media controversies—and their impact on Trump's political standing. "It was really the most remarkable comeback in American political history, even more impressive than Richard Nixon's phoenix-like rise after losing the gubernatorial election to Pat Brown in 1962," Hanson says. Our conversation explores the miscalculations of Trump's opponents, his unfair treatment at the hands of rogue prosecutors, and the ever-changing dynamics shaping the presidential race. Plus, Hanson offers his perspective on how best to counter Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
