60: Welcome to the show Stat Guy, Payne's Valley, Mitch's Revenge, Look at this Instagram
PLEASE WELCOME "STAT GUY" Jeremy Martin to The Chasing Daylight Podcast! Jeremy is a recent transplant from Utah and so far has found out why Joe and I love Las Vegas and the Vegas golf scene. An avid golfer with some excellent skills, we welcome him on board to be another co-host to the show and provide us with UP TO THE MINUTE stats as we work through the Weekly Walk episodes.
We cover last week's Payne Valley Cup in this episode, and we briefly hit on last weekend's PGA event. There's a little talk about the OWGR and the FedEx Cup standings this early season.
Mitch's Revenge was a topic of discussion, as the three of us took part in the annual event out at Coyote Springs, and there is a new, or the debut, episode of Just The Tip with Stephen Noland on the Breakfast Ball YouTube Channel. Be sure to check that out.
We hit the talking points about the events coming up this weekend on all the tours. Look At This Instagram We had a couple of great selections:
Joe: @_almigos_
Matt: @atomicgolf
Jeremy: @golfrabble

It's been too long! What should have taken place in September of 2020 finally gets to happen! THE 2021 RYDER CUP IS HERE!
Trey Sanders, aka @trey29_golf, joined Joe, Jeremy, and myself for some much-needed Ryder Cup talk.
We covered a wide range of topics. From the Ryder Cup swag. Joe chimes in about why anyone would purchase a Ryder Cup Golf bag. The clothes, the merch, ball markers, headcovers, and more.
We talked about the course, the teams, the formats, and some daunting holes like the 645 Yard Par 5 11th and the 520 Yard Pa4 4 18th, perfectly titled DYEABOLICAL!
Coverage starts this Friday with the morning Foursomes followed by the afternoon Fourball.
It's been three LONG years since Team USA fell in France, and we're hoping Captain Steve Stricker and his team are ready to hoist the Cup!

111: Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) Mark Cheney
We were honored to have Mark Cheney, a Certified Mental Performace Consultant (CMPC), join us for this special interview series. Mr. Cheney is local to the Las Vegas valley and has worked with all types of athletes on improving their mental games. But, we are a golf podcast, so we focused on golf and how players can start improving their game with some mental coaching.
Mr. Cheney has some incredible insight into the game of golf, and we loved having him on the show. There was no way we could cover everything in just one interview so look for Mr. Cheney to be back on the CDP in the future for sure! We love us some junior golf. And when two local players from our beloved valley took home some major hardware at Augusta National last week, I just had to reach out and get them on the show.
Yana Wilson and Ali Mulhall are two WILDLY talented golfers who will be making a name for themselves on the professional tour in a few short years, joined Joe and me for a quick interview about their time at Augusta for the Drive Chip & Putt, what they thought about the place and they settled to rumors about the Pimento and Cheese sandwiches.
It was a pleasure hosting them for this little interview; we loved hearing their stories and how they have grown up with the game. Also, a big thanks to Jim Wilson, Yana's father, for helping us make this happen!
We're certainly looking forward to seeing more from them. Hopefully, that can include a few MAJOR titles like the US AM, The US Open, and the Augusta National Women's Amateur.

We were thrilled to have Jason Moore on the show for this interview series.
If you've been following the blog at all, you'll know that I'm (Matt) a massive fanboy of TRUE Linkswear. Jason joined Joe and me to talk about the history of TRUE and how the brand has evolved over the last 12 years. We covered topics like the Sensi's return (just kidding, sorry), the new KNITS II, and LUX. How their brand identity has changed since moving to the Pacific North West. And, also talked about their latest adventure, the TRUE Performance No-Show Socks. If you're familiar with the brand, we think you'll enjoy this episode. And, if this is your first encounter with TRUE Linkswear, we think they'll be a brand you'll certainly want to familiarize yourself with going forward.

We had an absolute blast with the 100th episode. It's a lot of fun having the weekly show and I think all of us enjoy getting together once a week to talk golf. However, when we went "off script" and just talked about why we love the game of golf it was inspiring to us.
Going forward whenever we have a scheduling conflict where we are not going to be able to get together for The Weekly Walk, we'll be doing these, "Getting to know the CDP Guys" episodes and letting all of you find out more about us and why we're such fanatics about the game.
We highly encourage you to kick back, relax, and hear what we have to say about the topic of this episode, Golf Courses. And, we'd love to hear from all of you out there as well. Leave us a message on our voice line 702-518-1864 and let us know what you love and or hate about golf courses.
Thanks for tuning in to this episode, The Weekly Walk will be back next week!

In this week's episode of The Weekly Walk, we talked about the round we played out at Revere Golf Club in the cooler temps and gusting winds. Jeremy and I talked about our very BLUSTERY day out at Paiute. And lastly, on our "We Played Golf" talk, Jeremy and Joe played out at Primm Valley on the Lakes course and had a great day! What happened this past week: There was a PGA Tournament in Bermuda [insert crickets] Congrats to Brian Gay for taking home the win. Not bad for a 48-year-old. We were graced with the presence of the wildly entertaining BryanGolf aka Bryan LaRoche. Bryan was in town to preview Reflection Bay for the upcoming Steez & Teez event; Battle at the Bay. Bryan was kind enough to come over to the BBGB Casa and hang out with Me, Ryan, the CC Boyz; Julien, and David, and we were also joined by Joe from the Instagram account HittinGreens who made his podcast debut. As expected this sit down went WAY longer than expected and we recorded for nearly two and a half hours. 74: Studio guest Aarik Greenley, QBD Shootout & the Women's US Open, Look at this Instagram, Tour Talk
The in-studio guest barrage continues this week with an extraordinary guest. Former Tour Rep from Adams Golf, Aarik Greenley, joined us for some outstanding golf talk and insights. This is one you're going to want to bookmark and save; it's good! We also had our typical Weekly Walk segments.
Tour talk was short and sweet.
We wrapped up the QBD Shootout and also talked about the US Women's Open. The PNC Event takes place this week, and ALL eyes will be on the team of Tiger Woods and his son Charlie. At least that's where all our eyes will be!
We played a lot of golf this past week. Joe took a walk around TPC Summerlin. The three of us played Cascata in some rather chilly, windy conditions. Joe and Jeremy played in the Sunday group out at Angel Park, and then Aarik and I played at Revere right before recording this.
It was an absolute pleasure having Aarik over for the show. His insight and golf mind is a beautiful thing, and anytime I can play the role of a song and soak up some of that goodness, I jump at the opportunity. You'll hear from his mellow candor he's a pretty "cool Cat" when it comes to golf. He has a sweet sexy AF smooth swing that absolutely sends the ball, and it's a blast anytime I get to spend with him out on the course. AND he helped me with a major alignment issue I was having, and I threw together a few good rounds while he was here! So thank you, Aarik, for coming and hanging with us! I can't wait to tee it up with you again!

I've wanted to do this interview since the start of this podcast. So you can imagine how excited I was to finally get Josh on the phone and talk about his brand CNC Creations. Josh is an incredible talent when it comes to creating unique ball markers, and it doesn't end there. Kingdom Putters is the other brand he has launched, and they have BIG plans for 2021.
I want to thank Josh for taking the time out of his busy schedule to chat about how he got started and how CNC Creations came to be. We're looking forward to the new putters in 2021 and, of course, the MAJOR MARKERS! Be sure to give CNC Creations a follow. Y
ou can see the amazing work Josh and his team are putting out by following them on Instagram: @josh.cnccreations. Thanks for tuning in. I absolutely love doing interviews like this, Getting to know the people behind the golf brands that put out some incredible work is so much fun for us, and I hope you all enjoy it as well.

James has a great story and anyone who's considering playing professional golf should tune in to this one. It happens to us all, even the guys who get paid millions of dollars. A lousy round is inevitable, and mine showed up yesterday when I least expected it. However, some good came out of it, and I'd love to hear what you all think.

70: In Studio guest Carll, upcoming VGN Event, CDP Locks, Look at this Instagram
This week's episode was a fun one! We had another in-studio guest. Carll, a fellow VGN'r, joined us for the show, and during the Vegas segment, we chatted some golf and went over the upcoming Stableford event at The Revere Golf Club.
There was no PGA event that took place this past week
We didn't have much to discuss as far as professional golf goes. We all did play some, so that took up some of the show's beginning. We all got rounds in at Revere - Lexington, The Club at Sunrise, Wildhorse, and Revere - Concord.
Coming up this week
PGA Tour is in Mexico for the Mayakoba Classic
Korn Ferry Tour - Idle until Feb 2021
PGA Tour Champions - Idle until 12/17 The PNC Championship
LPGA - Volunteers of America Classic to be played at the Old American Golf Club

48: A New Era for the Podcast, Joe from HittinGreens, Look at this Instagram, Tour Talk and more
A new era has begun with The Chasing Daylight Podcast!
I welcomed in a new co-host, Joe, from @hittingreens. We're starting a weekly show we're tentatively calling The Weekly Walk, where we discuss what's going on in the world of golf either from our escapades or things like the PGA Tour, World Ling Drive, PGA Shows, and wagering.
In this first episode of The Weekly Walk, we talk about the 3M Championship, the upcoming WGC Event at TPC Southwind, our outing at Primm Valley GC as well as the SNGA Social Series we attended.
Also, we introduced a new segment, where we each spotlight an Instagram account we've either found or have been a fan of for a while. We're calling it:

Thank you for tuning into our show, The Weekly Walk. This week we're doing our best to get back on a regular rundown like we have been doing in the past. However, I (Matt) decided to try and implement some tech this week with the rundown via my new iPad, and well, that didn't work out so great.
Needless to say, the iPad is gonna get shelved until I can figure that out.
We started this week's episode out with RAT FARTS, and after my admission of some pretty bad fo pas, I read a letter I wrote to my dear friend Neal "Rohrs" Rohrbach.
What Happened this past week:
Harris English was the big winner in Hawaii. He beat Wakeen Kneeman in a playoff on the first hole. And yes, we mentioned the fact he was chillin' with Sergio versus getting ready for a playoff.
FedEx Cup Standings through the Tournament of Champions:
Dustin Johnson
Harris English
Justin Thomas
Bryson DeChambeau
Patrick Cantlay
OWGR through Monday 1/11/2021
Dustin Johnson
Jon Rahm
Justin Thomas
Xander Schauffele
Colin Marikawa

Take-Two on QUIZ TIME
We enjoyed the trivia last week, so I brought in some more to try and stump the guys. This week it was in regards to the current PGA Tour Season and the FedEx Cup standings.
The SNGA Winter Classic at Cascata
First off, congrats to Joe for finishing 6th place in the Net Division. He played great, and the BLACK CARD to the Cascata Pro Shop was well deserved. On the other hand, Matt had a nightmare of a first-round and thankfully righted the ship and turned in a somewhat respectable card for the final day.
What's happening this week?
The PGA makes its 14th start of the season with a full-field event at the SONY OPEN.
The LPGA Tour, PGA Champions Tour, and the Korn Ferry Tour are all still until the Legends tee it up next week in Hawaii.

There was a mighty big news story that broke over the weekend! Breakthrough Golf Technology, also known as BGT, agreed to sponsor the VGN Tour putting series the KING OF THE GREEN!! This was very exciting for us, and even more thrilling is we will have Blair Philips, the man behind the madness of the Stability Golf Shafts on the show in our interview series. That will air next week!
LOCK CONTEST UPDATE
We have a new way we're earning bonus points now. It's too much to type so just listen in. Here are our picks for the SONY OPEN:
Matt - Russell Henley 33/1
Joe - Ryan Palmer 28/1
Jeremy - SungJae Im 16/1
Only Joe and Matt can get bonus points per the new rules because Jeremy's pick doesn't qualify.

72: Slow week on Tour, Women's US Open, Look at this Instagram, Viva Las Vegas, Deep Thoughts
For this week's episode, the main focus is our VGN Match we had at Revere. We're not quite back to a fully structured show. The move to the Breakfast Ball Custom Shop was a little challenging, and I was more concerned with audio quality than content. But after editing this episode, I think we'll be good to go moving forward. At least until the second week of January.
There’s no “official” PGA Tour event that involves FedEx Cup points, so no locks this week. Be sure to watch some of the Women’s US Open and all the Euro Tour finals.

The Vegas spotlight was all about our VGN outing at Revere. 16 members of the Network showed for this Modified Stableford event, and we had an absolute blast. Robbie Knick was the winner for this outing, and he took home the coin. Next up for the VGN is an event at TPC Las Vegas next month.
Deeps thoughts with the Chasing Daylight Podcast
Adam, from the VGN, phoned in with an issue in regards to his play of late. So we had him sit down on the couch for a little golf mental therapy!
We’ll be back next week with a recap of Joe’s round at TPC Summerlin, our round out at Cascata for the winter classic warm-up, and there’s an excellent chance we’ll have another special guest in studio for EP 71 Until then, look for the next Chasing Daylight Interview to hit the airwaves next Monday featuring Josh from CNC Creations!

90: Stephen Noland returns to talk swing changes with Matt.
Back on the pod after a 13-month absence, Stephen Noland joined me for this episode to go over where I'm at in my current state of the swing changes we've implemented.
It's been 15-months since we started working together, and we both thought an update to what is taking place was needed. I want to keep it fresh in everyone's minds that Stephen and I are 2,500 apart and have never met in person. All the work we've been doing has been via Facetime or video analyzing.
After we covered what's going on with my swing, we thought it would be fun to do a quick 10 question Q&A. We also thought it would be quick. It turns out we can both be long-winded when it comes to golf. However, it turned into some excellent golf talk we both think you're going to enjoy.
I hope this helps everyone get a better understanding of the amazing mind that is Stephen Noland. This journey I'm on to better myself as a golfer has been a blast, and it's even better because I've gotten to know Stephen on a level I wasn't expecting. I'm honored to call him one of my close friends and look forward to the day we can tee it up together!

This is a different one for us. I was asked to be interviewed on the Bandon Solstice Podcast. Mike Stashak is the host of that show, and he and I had a great conversation about last year's solstice event. The planning, the preparation, the actual participation. It was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed reliving the experience. I asked Mike if I could put the audio up on this podcast to share it with our listeners as well, and he was happy to share the file. This audio is from HIS show. If you like what you heard and want more information about The Bandon Solstice Podcast, be sure to visit the links I've provided below. Thanks, and I hope you enjoy it! Michael Bruscino, who I've called Mikey since I've known him, has had quite to the introduction to the game of golf. Where he grew up, golf wasn't an option. It was a white, older man's game that had no place in his life. Needless to say, his journey into this wonderful sport was severely delayed. It was just a few years ago when Joe Keith, co-host of this show, and at the time Mike's coworker started piquing his interest in golf.
Thankfully, times have changed, and Mike has found a passion for a sport that he never imaged he'd be involved in not too long ago. With his latest win at the Overseed Invitational, a Vegas Golf Network Tour tournament, Michael is beginning to add some accolades to his golf life.
Had anyone asked him two years ago where he thought his "Golf Life" would have taken him, there's no way it would have been able to imagine his current situation. Golf continues to amaze us every single week, and Michael's story is yet another one that we're excited to share with everyone.

I've wanted this interview on the podcast for so long. I was lucky to play a round with Dana out at Revere Golf club a few years back, and man, was she impressive. She had never seen the course before, didn't blink at playing from 6700 yards, and just went out and shot the most boring 71 I've ever seen. 14/14 fairways and 17/18 greens. It was so fun to watch!
She's constantly in the top 5 in driving accuracy on the LPGA Tour and is grinding he ass off trying to improve so she can compete with the elite players in the world.
She has a great story, and I'm so glad she could find some time from her busy schedule to hang out with us for a bit and talk about the journey that has led her to the current 2022 LPGA Season.

The four of us played in a tournament at Southern Highlands that was hosted by the Las Vegas Raiders Quarterback Derek Carr! We then dominated the Five Iron Golf league night and wrapped up the week with a VGN Tournament where Dan won the Gross and Sean W won the Net.
Sean took a few minutes from his busy schedule to hop on the show and talk about the Wildhorse tournament round.
CHASING ACES SHOT OF THE WEEK Have to give this one to STAT GUY! Hitting the flag on No. 2 at SoHi and then almost draining it from the tee on the short par 4 NO. 5 was amazing!

Big news on the Coyote Spings Development front. There are rumors swirling around that it may be a go, to further develop the area. Houses, more golf courses, and the Bob West and Trey Sanders Real Estate Office!
We love finding new clothing brands, and when we see them originating from the Vegas "area," we get even more excited!
Merlin John comes from the small tourist trap golf town of Mesquite, NV. It's a short drive, maybe an hour or so, north of Las Vegas, and it's home to a few rather spectacular golf courses. Merlin hopes that with the launch of her new clothing brand BIA Clothing, her vision will bring some other notoriety to the tiny desert town.
Young, inspired, and passionate about her work, Merlin is bringing a slew of new ideas and products to the brand, and we only see a positive upside for her going forward.
I want to thank Merlin for stopping by the studio while she was recently in town and sitting down with me to talk about BIA Clothing.
WHAT HAPPENED IN GOLF THIS PAST WEEK AND WHERE WE PLAYED We got in some golf this past week as per usual. Matt along with Trey tee'd it up out at DragonRidge CC. And, Joe and Jeremy did some time in the wind out at Paiute.
Tiger was made some news playing some golf out at Southern Hills, and the PGA Tour is looking at revamping the Fall Schedule in the future.

E161: Sometimes, you have to gather the crew and just ramble on about golf.
This week's episode was supposed to be our 2022 PGA Championship Preview Show, and while we did cover a little bit of it, we got somewhat sidetracked.
It turns out that when you get myself, Joe, Jeremy, Trey, and Bob together, we can take a Major Preview episode and turn it into something much more entertaining. We didn't get to the Joe Rogan 3hr mark, but we tried, and honestly, if we hadn't run out of beer, we might still be talking!
If you like golf talk, then this one might be for you. We tackled a handful of subjects, most notable the 10,000,000 new golfers that have come to the game. WARNING, if you're the sensitive type, you may want to wait for next week's show!

Matt and Joe are headed to Bandon in just under a month! This will be Joe's first time stepping on the property and Matt's 4th.
Needless to say, Joe has a ton of questions because this isn't your typical Bandon Dunes buddy's trip. We'll be attending the Bandon Solstice, where we'll be playing four of the courses onsite all in one day. And there are no carts at Bandon for those of you who don't know; we're walking.
As we mentioned earlier, this will be Matt's 3rd Solstice and Joe's first. Walking 72 holes in one day is a marathon. It tests not only your physical abilities but also your mind. It's a journey, an adventure, and a memory you'll keep for a lifetime.
Since this will be the 3rd time Matt has partaken in the Solstice, he and Joe decided it would be fun to do a couple of episodes to preview the trip and talk about the event.
This is Part 1, and we'll follow up next week's weekly show with part two while some of the crew is on vacation.
So if you're curious about Bandon Dunes and the Solstice event that takes place every year, this little series will be perfect for you!
We hope you enjoy this week's episode, and if you do, please consider leaving us a review on either Spotify or iTunes.Thank You!
Part 2 of our preview of the Bandon Solstice. We were hoping Scott Dunlop, who is a caddy out at Bandon, was going to join us, but he caught a late bag and made a second loop. So it was just Joe and I talking about the preparations we're making as we get ready to head off the Solstice next weekend!
What a wild day in the world of golf. Yesterday, June 9th, 2022, will arguably go down in history for the game, but what side of history will the LIV GOLF Tour end up on is the question!
I threw up the CDP Bat Signal and gathered the crew for an Emergency Broadcast to talk about what the hell happened today and what the hell is going to happen in the coming days!
Joe, Jeremy, Myself, Bob, and Trey all chimed in on LIV Golf and shared our opinions on what we feel will take place in our beloved game!

166: 2022 US Open Preview Show with Guest Trey Sanders
It's been a while since we've all been together to record a weekly episode. We had A LOT to catch up on, and that's what the first half of this episode is about.
We covered, albeit quickly, Harry winning on the KFT Tour and Qualifying for the US OPEN! Jeremy played Harbor Town, Matttouredg the Pacific North West, Some history on the LPGA, Matts's new Driver shaft (not a typo), Jeremy's new irons, and it wouldn't have been complete without some LIV Golf talk.
We eventually get to the US Open talk, unlike our last MAJOR PREVIEW!
It will be a great MAJOR, and we all can't wait to see who comes home with the win Sunday evening.
Joe and Matt are headed off to Bandon for the Bandon Solstice event, so we'll have something different for you next week.
We hope you enjoy this week's episode, and if you do, please consider leaving us a review on either Spotify or iTunes.Thank You!
With Joe and Matt out of town and the three of us (Jeremy included in this) not completing our Vegas Rankings Spreadsheets yet, we needed some content for this week.
Thankfully our good friend Neal "Rohrs" Rhorbach was available for some phone time, so he and Matt hopped on a call and talked about the US Open since he was on site doing some "If I told you, I'd have to kill you" work at the tournament.
It's a little peek inside the ropes of a Major Championship.
We'll be back next week with some Amazing Bandon Dunes chatter, and Matt and Jow will be recanting the Bandon Trip as well as our regular topics of conversation!
Thanks for listening, and please give us a review on Spotify and iTunes!
We hope you enjoy this week's episode, and if you do, please consider leaving us a review on either Spotify or iTunes.Thank You!

168: Live from the Lily Pond. Matt and Joe talk Bandon the night before the Solstice Event
Twas the night before Solstice, and all through the house... Well, the Lily Pond condo, to be more exact.
Matt and Joe discuss their first few days on the property in this special release as they prepare for the 2022 Solstice.
Shorty's, Bandon Trails, The Preserve, and Sheep Ranch are the course they had played up to this point, and the following day they are taking a 30-mile walk on the property for the Solstice.
Joe talks a lot about what it's like being on the Bandon grounds for the first time. If you're considering a trip to Bandon, what Joe says in this episode will help you understand the magical feeling you get when you arrive.
Next week they'll be recapping the entire trip as well, and Jeremy will have a ton of questions for them!
Oh, you thought we were done with Bandon, hahaha, the jokes on you!
That's right, even more, Bandon Dunes content this week. But we promise this is it for a while. There's a ton of golf going on worldwide, and we've been a little selfish of late with good intent, of course.
The Bandon trip Matt & Joe took was epic, to say the least, and in this, our last Bandon Series episode, Jeremy is back to join Matt and Joe as they discuss the actual Solstice event, and then Jeremey has some questions for the guys.
We wrapped up the show with some current golf news and an update to our Picks Contest and our LOCKS for the John Deer.
Thanks again, everyone, for tuning in! Please do us a favor and leave a review on Apple or Spotify!

The last Major of the 2022 Season is upon us. And while it's arguably the best Major when held at St. Andrews, we're all a little bummed the Majors for this year will be completed come Sunday afternoon! START THE MASTERS CLOCK!
As per usual, Trey Sandershopped on the mic and joined us for this episode as we prepare for what could be an AMAZING four days of golf from the home of golf.
The conversations got a little deep, and you can tell this one hits home with the guys! It only happens every 5-6 years, so an Open Championship or British Open at St. Andrew's is special.
Could this be Tiger's last run at the Old Course? Will the LIV Players shut the f@$k up and let the golf take center stage for a week. Can Matthew Fitzpatrick go back to back? There are so many questions.
We wrapped up this week's episode with our picks for the championship!
We hope everyone enjoys this last Major of the season! We'll have Trey back on the show as the playoffs for the FedEx Cup inch closer, and he said if Tiger wins, he'll be back on next week!
Something is exciting coming to the Vegas Valley in 2023, and it's called Chip Shots.
When it opens up, Chip Shots will be an indoor private club featuring state-of-the-art hitting bays and simulators, along with some other amenities its members will thoroughly enjoy. A full-service bar with gaming, a cigar bar/lounge, a restaurant, conference rooms, and much more.
The brainchild behind Chip Shots is Keith Langlands. In this episode, Keith and his marketing director Lauren McDougall joined me to talk about how the idea has gone from concept to reality and what the experience will be like once the doors open.
With the golf blowing up ever since the pandemic, places like Chip Shots, I feel, are going to be popping up all over the country. Keith, and his flagship location, are doing their best to make a name for themselves in this exploding market, and I, for one, cannot wait to see it for myself come 2023!
Here are some links to get additional information about the soon-to-be Las Vegas location.

We were honored to have the Executive Director for our local PGA Tour stop, Patrick Lindsey, on the show.
We covered many topics, including what exactly the Executive Director of a PGA Tour Golf Tournament does. The renovation of TPC Summerlin. Harry and Taylor's Match to get into the field last year and what the future hold for the Fall event when the PGA Tour ends the wrap-around schedule.
We want to thank Mr. Lindsey for taking the time out of his crazy schedule as he's preparing to solidify the field and get all the events dialed in for this big event for our city!
We'll have some tickets to give to some listeners, so stay tuned for that!
It's finally here! We're only six months behind schedule! We tried to get the rankings done by March, but with so much going on in our lives, it kept getting pushed back. After many requests to GET IT DONE, we knocked it out, compiled the data, and recorded our 2022 Vegas Rankings episode.
At the beginning of this episode, we go over the points system and how we came up with the rankings. There is a possibility of 100pts per course. There are 11 courses NOT in the rankings this year, eight of which were included in previous rankings. We pulled the eight because only one of the three of us had played the course, and we felt having only one opinion wasn't what this list was about. The courses not included are:
Shadow Creek
Wynn Golf Club
Casablanca
Eagle Crest
Oasis Golf Club
Durango Hills
Falcon Ridge
Sunrise Vista
The three courses that are not on the list because NONE of us have played them are:
Mojave Resort
Red Rock Country Club
The Summit

Jeremy Tired to Kill Matt This was too funny. Matt asked for one of Jeremy's Zyn pouches after the round at Wildhorse and well, that wasn't a wise decision.
Our Round review from Wildhorse Golf Club Matt, Joe, and Jeremy tee'd it up out at Wildhorse Golf Club with our friend of the show Michael Bruscino. Wildhorse was in really good shape aside from the greens. The course is looking greener than ever and it was a great day out there! Shout out to Darden for the invite!

The VGN is headed to Coyote Springs The final Major of the season is here! Coyote Springs Golf Club is the track and there are 36 players making the 1hr drive north of the city to partake in this very important event! So we chatted a little bit about Coyote and previewed the Tourney a little.
The new PGA Tour season is here, already! The PGA Tour is back after a week off and they're teeing it up in Napa Wine Country at the Fortinet Championship. Two Korn Ferry Tour graduates we're keeping a close eye on are in the field this week; Harry Hall and Taylor Montgomery.

Special Guest for this week's show The Golf Homie, JP Sovereign joined us for the show this week and it was a blast getting to listen to his perspective of the game. JP is a relatively new player to golf and it's bitten him HARD! He's only been playing for a few years and has already logged nine trips to Bandon!
We chatted about the Portland Golf scene, and his experience at the LIV Portland event. We dabbled a touch on some Presidents Cup talk and what took place with Max Homa and Danny Willett. Man, that was a costly 3-Putt.
We wrapped up the show talking about Bandon Dunes. If you enjoyed our Bandon Preview and wrap-up shows from earlier this year, you'll love this one as well.

Bob and Dan will be joining us again soon to talk more about the trip, but in the meantime, we did a rundown of the courses we played and what it was like out in the South!

186: Dan and Bob Live to talk Georgia. A Lot of Sweetens banter and we chatted The Shriners.
If by chance, you were not pleased with Joe and Matt's recap of the Georgia trip, we brought back Dan and Bob to get their insights into the golf, the courses, the people, the food, and much more.
Joe is in love with Sweetens Cove, so much he obtained 200 passes for January, ok, not 200 but 20. He's pumped to get back there, while Matt was not as impressed as Joe was. Dan and Bob, well, you'll have to listen.
We wrapped up the show talking about The Shriners Open and the battle down the stretch with Cantlay and Tom Kim. Matt also explained how a few tips from Bob out on the course Monday morning helped him get dialed in off the tee and with the wedges.

187: Boulder Creek, The VGN, Not Giving a F*CK, and some LIV Bashing
First, congrats to Joe and his wife, Katie, for the news that a new little one is on the way! Joe is afraid his golf life is over, but if Matt and Jeremy can do it with two kids, Joe can also!
In this week's show, we talked about the VGN (Vegas Golf Network), the last tournament we just playedat Boulder Creek, and Jeremy's mental collapse.
Fan favorite El Dan wanted to know what Golf Superpower we would choose from a list he provided, and then we decided to come up with a few of our own. The Jedi Mind Trick for use in the proshop was a winner!
That conversation led to Matt talking about the best book he's read, err, "listened" to in a VERY long time.
The Subtle Art Of Not Giving a F*CK, by Mark Manson Click the link below to see it on Amazon; you'll thank us later! https://amzn.to/3S9aCdZ
And it's been a while, but we did get a little bashing in of the LIV Tour. Joe has come down from his Fanboy love for LIV and had some harsh criticisms for the league.
Lastly, we did a RATE RUNDOWN for the courses here in Vegas. There is no better time than NOW to tee it up in the desert, and the courses here know that. We pulled up Golf Now to check out the weekend rates for the valley, and man, there were some shocking results!

It's kind of a slow season n the golfing world for us, even though October weather is the best time of the year to play golf in Vegas. Jeremy let us know that he's been on a break from the game but is eager to get back out there.
Rory is again the Worlds best Golfer, even with some top players who have left. We had a Baby #2 Name Update for Joe and Katies future LPGA Star. Some interesting news was put out by The Shriners Open on Monday. TRUE Linkswear is getting into the Pants game!
If you've been on Instagram for a while and follow golf at all then you're familiar with idaleeeo. I've had the pleasure of hanging out with Orlando and even playing some golf. I can tell you he's even funnier in person and a blast to hang with. He had a SCARY situation happen to him this past weekend where he could have died! It's a crazy story and even better watching him tell it. Go check out his Instagram if you're not following him. We're glad your ok bro!!
Matt is at it again with the driver. This time going for a new head. A PING G425 LST to be exact and the guys chatted about the pending change and what they think will happen.
Before we got into the odds for the Bermuda event, we discussed if Jonah Hill can pull off playing John Daly in a movie.

189: Birdies & Bourbon, Jeremy Finally Wins, The Hoppers are Killing Paiute and Joe's Headed to NC
Right out the gate, if you're not listening to Birdies and Bourbon, you're missing out! Joe was a guest on their podcast this week (episode goes out 11/3), and we're big fans of what they are up to!
Congrats to the Big Man Seamus Power on his win in Bermuda! Jeremy is also very thankful because he picked Seamus, which ended his winless streak dating back to the 2020-2021 season.
Our favorite courses in Vegas are getting destroyed by grasshoppers. Matt was out at Paiute on Friday, and the hopper was pretty bad, but the Sun course looked untouched by the beasts. Jeremy, however, played the Snow course on Tuesday, and from the pictures he shared, the course is getting annihilated.
We tried to pick the most underrated holes in Vegas, which sent us down a rabbit hole. So now we're going to figure out the most underrated holes in Vegas and the best starting hole in town as well. Off the top of our heads didn't work!
We talked a little about Bandon Dunes since the Birdies and Bourbon guys are headed there later this month, and Whisky Joe has another golf trip planned! He's headed to North Carolina in January with Trey, Dan, and Julien
We wrapped up the show with the odd for this week's PGA Tour event in Mexico and gave some love to the brands who've been supporting us!
