The Canine Condition Podcast is a partner broadcast to our upcoming live action documentary series: The Canine Condition. My name is Jacqui Piñol and I created this podcast to introduce you to the topics we caught on film and to keep the conversation going. In this podcast we address dog homelessness in the United States while focusing on the people who are taking action around the country to improve the canine condition. Throughout the podcast you will hear from dog rescue volunteers, adopters, animal rights attorneys, lawmakers, animal rescue advocacy groups, animal law enforcement officials, veterinary professionals, and many other dog experts - all of whom will leave you inspired, more educated, and empowered. My guest on this episode is Ms. Juli Lathrop, founder and the boots on the ground of The Kramer Foundation - a non profit dog rescue organization in upstate New York. Welcome to The Canine Condition Podcast. My name is Jacqueline Piñol. I am an actor, a documentary filmmaker and an animal rescue advocate. The Canine Condition podcast is a platform to bring awareness to dog adoption and provide all dog lovers and pet owners with information and resources on how to raise a healthy and well balanced dog. If you are thinking about getting your first dog, or just want to know where and how you can help a dog in need, this is also a place for you. The Kramer Foundation is dedicated to fostering, rehabilitating, training and rehoming dogs from shelters who would otherwise be euthanized in those shelters for behavior or health issues. The programs at the Kramer foundation include fostering dogs for soldiers who are deployed with no place to leave their furry friends. Fostering dogs for returning veterans while they seek any necessary treatment for mental or physical rehabilitation. They foster dogs for domestic violence victims until they can be placed in a safe home that will accept their dog. The foundation provides certified search search and rescue dogs for lost and missing persons, cadaver and crime scene dogs, as well as therapy dogs for educational programs, and any place needing a fuzzy shoulder to cry on or a warm body to comfort a wounded heart. You will hear stories of real transformation for both canines and humans. He is a dedicated volunteer at his local Los Angeles city shelter. But Tom is not just a volunteer he is an artist, an actor, writer and producer with an extensive resume of projects all across the creative spectrum. He is a prime example and inspiration to us all because he has a full and busy artistic life but still makes time to give back by spending time with shelter dogs, and filming videos with them for his social media platforms.
