Sailing away from our corporate life was one of the best things we ever did. Brokers want to sell you a big boat. Don't listen to them! It's totally unnecessary and  we'll explain why.

Honestly getting sailing for free (or almost free) is easy and it will be far more enjoyable if you follow these few steps.

Provisioning in these times of panic is very similar to provisioning for crossing an ocean. In this episode we talk about the lessons we learned the hard way!

Moving from a life on land where you see your partner/ husband/wife for only a few hours a day to living on a boat 24/7 takes some adjustment. We have seen marriages in utter meltdown, tatters, & ruins from this level of proximity. We struggled in the beginning but learned to adapt.
Now our relationship is stronger than it has ever been, but how do you live with your partner on a boat and still get to enjoy your long term cruise?

How do we keep watch on Ruby Rose? What has worked best for us over the last 7 years? In this episode we discuss this and other ways we keep our boat and crew sailing safely across the oceans.

In this episode we interview Elena and Ryan from popular YouTube channel, Sailing Kittiwake and discuss how they got into sailing, why they decided to go from living on a catamaran to buying a monohull (when it's usually the other way around) and why they love the cruising lifestyle. Interestingly, they recently completed an Atlantic crossing on their 37 foot Tayana and while they were at sea the Covid-19 Pandemic broke out. They had no choice but to continue to sail on, not knowing where and when they'd be making landfall as countries around the world suddenly closed their borders. 

In this week's podcast we interview Yosh and Bonita from popular YouTube channel Sailing Nandji who are stuck on their boat in Malaysia. While we've made reference to the features that we'd like to see in our new catamaran, this is the first time we've actually sat down and listed them with an in depth discussion.
