I emphasize the importance of recognizing what aspects of our lives we can control, especially when feelings of stress and anxiety begin to emerge. By focusing on our sphere of influence, we can effectively ground ourselves and reclaim a sense of stability. I introduce the visual metaphor of two concentric circles: the inner circle represents what you can control, while the outer circle encompasses what you cannot. This dynamic was highlighted by Stephen Covey in his influential work, "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People," which serves as a keystone text in understanding personal development and emotional management. I revisit how understanding this distinction can empower listeners by prompting them to focus on their thoughts and actions rather than becoming ensnared in the anxiety-inducing outer circle of concern. Within our circle of influence, we explore key elements: thoughts, actions, emotions, choices, communication, and environment. I discuss how we have agency over our thoughts and self-talk, even when anxiety can make it seem otherwise. By consciously changing how we perceive situations or engage in positive self-talk, we can foster a more empowering mindset. I also touch on the importance of our actions—how we respond rather than react to circumstances—and the necessity of creating daily habits that support our mental wellbeing. I move into emotions, discussing the means we have at our disposal to manage how we process feelings, helping us understand that our attitude and perspective are choices we can make daily. Our choices, including who we spend time with and what activities we prioritize, all reside within our control. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

I explore the ways in which our habitual thinking can trigger stress and worry, and I emphasize the possibility of shifting these mental frameworks to cultivate greater peace of mind. We begin by identifying some common anxiety-inducing thought patterns that many listeners can relate to. I kick off with the concept of "catastrophizing"—the tendency to expect the worst without any real evidence backing our fears. Drawing on my own experiences, I share how this all-or-nothing mindset can leave us perpetually on edge, waiting for disaster to strike. From there, I discuss overgeneralizing, where past negative experiences unfairly color our expectations of future situations, thus trapping us in a cycle of anxiety. The discussion continues with the pitfalls of mind reading, where we erroneously assume we understand what others are thinking about us. This often leads to unnecessary self-doubt, compounded by fortune telling, which involves predicting negative outcomes without basis. I highlight the physical responses these patterns invoke, particularly focusing on how our nervous systems react and create a feedback loop of anxiety. #anxiety #thoughtpatterns #cognitivedistortions #mentalhealth #selfhelp #mindfulness #stressmanagement #emotionalregulation #CBT #anxietyrelief #worry #fear #negativethinking #selftalk #emotionalreasoning #catastrophizing #overgeneralizing #mindreading #fortunetelling #personalization #filtering #shouldstatements #blackandwhitethinking #selfcompassion #gratitude #visualization #mentalrehearsal Learn more about your ad choices. She delves into the ancient idea of Maya Koshas, which are subtle bodies recognized by yogis beyond just the physical form. These bodies include the food body, energy body, mind body, wisdom body, and bliss body, each layer representing different aspects of our being. Gina discusses how through relaxation practices, we can integrate these subtle bodies, leading to healing and a deeper sense of wholeness. Starting with the outermost layer, the food body, which encompasses our physical form including muscles, bones, and organs, she emphasizes the importance of relaxing these areas systematically or through guided relaxation techniques. Moving inward, Gina explains the energy body, where we connect with the energetic essence of ourselves and others. By focusing on breath and releasing tension, we can experience a sense of freedom and connection to a greater source beyond our physical selves. Next, Gina explores the mind body, where thoughts, feelings, and sensations reside. By observing our thoughts without judgment and using breath to relax the mind, we can gain a deeper understanding of our emotional landscape and improve our relationship with our inner selves. The wisdom body is where we tap into our intuition and inner wisdom, allowing us to witness our thoughts and emotions with detachment and insight. Through this process, we can access a deep sense of stillness and joy, connecting with our true nature and inner healer. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

On one end, there is anxious, negative thinking. In the middle, there is mindful, neutral thinking. And on the other end, there is positive thinking. While mindfulness and positive thinking are different, the goal is to land in the middle with neutral thoughts. Anxious, negative thinking leads to negative beliefs and a hot brain filled with rumination and worry. It also leads to negative behaviors and self-medication for anxiety relief. On the other hand, neutral thinking brings us into a state of balance and calmness. We observe the facts and collect the data, leading to more realistic and neutral-positive feelings. Neutral thinking is confirmed with positive outcomes and allows us to see the beauty and color in our lives. In this part of the podcast, I talk about the importance of spending more time in neutral and positive states. I explain that while we can't avoid negative states completely, we can make an effort to shift our mindset towards the positive. I give examples of how our thoughts and interpretations can impact our emotions, behaviors, and overall outcomes. I emphasize the benefits of staying centered, open, and receptive to the world around us. I discuss the different brain states of resistance, acceptance, and hope, and how they affect our experiences. I encourage listeners to strive for realistic acceptance as their default state, while also allowing for days of positivity and hope. I share my own experience of transitioning from an anxious and negative mindset to one of neutrality and mindfulness. I caution against dwelling in negativity and urge listeners to stay mindful and steer themselves towards a more positive outlook. I offer the reminder to keep listening to the podcast for more strategies and inspiration. Last time, we focused heavily on the negative aspects of this kind of thinking, but today, I aim to empower you by presenting effective strategies to help shift your mindset towards more positive or neutral patterns. Understanding that negative thoughts are a natural part of life is crucial. Every person encounters thoughts that can lead to anxiety, but it's how we respond to these thoughts that truly matters. I emphasize the importance of being aware of your thought patterns and recognizing that you have the power to guide your responses. By intentionally steering your mindset away from negativity, you can experience a significant transformation in your overall outlook on life. One of the key strategies I introduce is cultivating an attitude of acceptance towards negative thoughts. Instead of battling with yourself or feeling guilt over these intrusive ideas, recognize that they are simply part of the human experience. This acceptance allows you to create a space in which you can evaluate your thoughts more clearly without the weight of judgment stacking against you. Building on this, I suggest maintaining a focus on the present moment, rather than getting lost in a cycle of ruminating about what could go wrong in the future. Moving into practical applications, I share specific techniques that can foster a shift from negativity to neutrality or positivity. For instance, I encourage listeners to keep their negative musings to themselves initially, permitting time for reflection before expressing them to others. This practice can help prevent the amplification of negativity, as sharing distressing thoughts in the moment often leads to greater anxiety and uncertainty. Learn more about your ad choices. Intrusive thoughts are universal; however, individuals battling anxiety may find themselves fixating on these thoughts, transforming them into anxious intrusive thoughts. The distinction lies in how much attention and significance we assign to these thoughts. By sharing personal experiences of intrusive thoughts, such as standing at the edge of a cliff and momentarily considering jumping, the host normalizes these occurrences, emphasizing that having a thought does not equate to it being true or reflective of one's desires. The podcast highlights that intrusive thoughts are unwelcome mental interruptions that can evoke discomfort and anxiety, especially for those already struggling with high stress levels or anxiety. Discussing the characteristics of intrusive thoughts, including their intrusive, disturbing, persistent, and mood-altering nature, the host offers insights into managing and addressing these thoughts effectively. Emphasizing the importance of recognizing triggers and patterns through journaling, building a supportive network, and implementing lifestyle changes to maintain mental equilibrium, the podcast aims to empower listeners to navigate intrusive thoughts with resilience and awareness. By encouraging listeners to distinguish between normal fleeting thoughts and intrusive thoughts that can feel overwhelming and irrational, the host underscores the role of awareness in mitigating the impact of intrusive thoughts. Through introspection, self-compassion, and adopting healthy coping strategies, individuals can cultivate a better relationship with their thoughts, understanding that they are not defined by the thoughts passing through their minds. Ultimately, by promoting a sense of detachment from intrusive thoughts and fostering acceptance, the podcast advocates for reclaiming control over mental well-being and fostering peace amidst the chaos of intrusive thoughts. The goal is to find it. –Buddha Chapters 0:00 Introduction to Anxiety Effects 2:46 Impact on Physical Health 5:59 Strategies for Managing Anxiety 10:32 Lifestyle Modifications for Wellness 12:38 Identifying Causes of Anxiety 17:46 Healing Mind and Body Together Summary In today's episode of the Anxiety Coaches Podcast, I've delved into the intricate relationship between anxiety and its physical effects on the body. Understanding that anxiety isn't just a mental experience is crucial; it manifests in various bodily changes that can often be overlooked. We often find ourselves grappling with physical complaints—such as gastrointestinal issues, rapid heartbeats, and disturbances in sleep—that we may not realize can be attributed to our anxiety. It’s essential to acknowledge that anxiety can significantly influence bodily functions, and vice versa. We start by discussing how anxiety can disturb digestive processes, leading to issues like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). This connection between the mind and gut is profound. The body's response during stressful situations—like the fight-or-flight reaction—can temporarily halt digestion, making it clear that when we’re anxious, our digestive health may suffer. Additionally, I touch on how heightened stress levels can affect our reproductive organs and immune function, leaving us vulnerable to various physical ailments. It’s an interconnected web, and I emphasize that whether physical discomfort leads to stress or anxiety causes physiologic issues, addressing both sides is paramount for holistic recovery. I also highlight the role of hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol, which our bodies release in response to anxiety. These hormones prepare us for immediate threats but can adversely affect our bodily functions when released in excess in our modern, less-threatening lives. It’s crucial to find strategies to manage stress more constructively. I provide practical techniques to help listeners recalibrate their responses to anxiety, starting with something as fundamental as deep breathing. The power of breath cannot be understated in calming the nervous system. I walk listeners through several popular breathing exercises, including a longer exhale and a double inhalation technique, encouraging everyone to practice these methods to ease anxiety and enhance oxygen flow to the body. Besides breathing techniques, I emphasize the importance of maintaining physical health through regular exercise, proper nutrition, and adequate rest—each vital to both mental clarity and bodily well-being. A meditation anchor serves as a focal point that helps to maintain presence and prevent the mind from wandering. One of the most accessible and commonly used anchors is the breath. By directing our attention to the physical sensations associated with breathing, we can ground ourselves in the present moment. To begin, find a comfortable position and maybe close your eyes. Focus on the natural movement of your breath and take notice of where you feel it the most in your body. Engage in non-judgmental curiosity and let your focus settle on the breath without forcing or changing it. As you continue, remain aware of any thoughts that arise, but avoid reacting or becoming overwhelmed by them. Remember that thoughts are not hard evidence – they simply exist, and we have the power to choose how we respond to them. With consistent practice, the ability to detach from thoughts and feelings can be developed. By observing these mental phenomena without giving them too much meaning or influence, we can gradually shift our perspective and regain a sense of control. This detachment allows us to gain insight from our thoughts and feelings without being consumed by them. We recognize that our minds and hearts are not rigid, but instead are capable of change. By directing our attention back to the breath, which serves as our anchor, we remain rooted in the present moment. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

I often hear from individuals who feel they cannot meditate because they tend to fall asleep during the process. I challenge this notion by suggesting that there is no better way to drift off than through focused meditation. Drawing from my own experiences in day-long silent meditations, I share anecdotes of how even seasoned practitioners find themselves nodding off, and how this is perfectly acceptable. Guided meditation at bedtime presents a multitude of benefits, particularly for those who find it hard to settle down at night. By incorporating this practice into your nightly routine, you can cultivate a calm mindset, which is essential in reducing racing thoughts and the mental clutter that often accompanies the transition to sleep. It's important to recognize that the act of falling asleep during meditation is indicative of a deeper necessity for rest, and it suggests that you can use this time to gently guide yourself into a peaceful state. As the podcast progresses, I explore several key reasons to consider guided meditation as a vital part of your bedtime routine. First and foremost, it effectively calms your mind, shifting your thoughts from anxiety and worry to tranquility. This transition is aided by focusing on a soothing voice and serene imagery, allowing your brain to gradually leave behind the busyness of the day. Additionally, I discuss how a bedtime meditation can significantly reduce stress and anxiety, which are frequent barriers to a good night's sleep. Through relaxing breathing exercises and calming instructions, guided meditations activate the parasympathetic nervous system, fostering an environment conducive to relaxation, decreasing stress hormone levels, and signaling to your body that it's time to unwind. Recognizing that it’s often the smaller stressors—not just the big life challenges—that weigh us down, I provide practical tips that can help alleviate these seemingly minor irritations before they accumulate and escalate our anxiety. I delve into the common tendency to overlook little stressors, such as a misbehaving kitchen drawer or a persistent squeaky door. These daily frustrations may appear insignificant, but I emphasize that their repeated presence can collectively drain our mental energy and contribute to a general sense of unease. The crux of my message is clear: if we tackle these seemingly trivial annoyances, we can lighten our mental load, thereby enhancing our capacity to manage larger stressors in life. Organizational strategies form the cornerstone of the first method I recommend. I share insights on how reducing physical clutter not only clears our living spaces but also invigorates our mental clarity. Next, I suggest creating a comprehensive list of all those nagging tasks—bills, appointments, and maintenance chores—that linger in our minds. By transferring these worries onto paper and committing to regularly revisit the list, we lighten our cognitive burden and prevent these tasks from piling up into a compounding source of stress. The practice of regularly reviewing my task lists has transformed my approach to managing daily responsibilities. #stressreduction #anxietyrelief #stressmanagement #mentalhealth #wellbeing #selfcare #mindfulness #relaxation #calm #peace #everydaystress #chronicstress #healthyliving #emotionalwellbeing #innerpeace #organization #timemanagement #relationships #jobstress #procrastination #decluttering #todolist #relaxationtechniques #stressfree #anxietytips #stressrelieftips #anxietycoachespodcast #ginaryan #podcast #mentalhealthpodcast #selfcarepodcast Learn more about your ad choices. It's important to pay attention to the nagging questions or irritations that persistently arise, as they may indicate areas of our lives that need to be addressed. I encourage listeners to listen to their intuition and make changes before they are forced to confront major challenges. I introduce the concept of authentic living, where our thoughts, words, and actions are in harmony. This leads to a peaceful and happy life. To live authentically, we must let go of things that no longer serve us. This could include relationships, activities, places, habits, thoughts, and expectations that have expired in their usefulness. It's crucial to reflect on these aspects and make conscious choices to align our lives with our authentic selves. We delve into the idea of letting go and identify areas in our lives that may no longer bring us happiness. This involves evaluating relationships with people and considering whether they still contribute positively to our lives. We also examine our attachment to certain places, activities, and thoughts that may no longer serve us. By letting go of these burdens, we can live more authentically and experience joy and fulfillment. Authentic living paves the way for new opportunities, friendships, and adventures. It replaces frustration and doubt with optimism and enthusiasm. You might even notice a change in yourself – perhaps you're looking more radiant or feeling more alive. That's because you truly are different when you live authentically. The decision to let go of things that no longer serve us may seem challenging, but we simply need to take the time to reflect on our actions and become aware of where we need to make changes. If we don't search for these areas, we'll never see them. So why not give it a try? Grab a journal or an audio recorder and start speaking your truth. Discuss it with a therapist or a friend to begin cultivating a more authentic life. As Henry David Thoreau said, we are constantly invited to be who we truly are. With over 40 years of experience, Dr. Moss is the founder of the Welcome to Humanity movement and creator of the True Voice course, aiming to help individuals reconnect with their most authentic selves. Together, we explore the profound importance of human connection in healing and how communication can transform mental health struggles. Dr. Moss, affectionately known as the "Undoctor," shares his journey of disillusionment with the conventional psychiatric model that often prioritizes diagnoses and medication over genuine human interaction. He recounts a critical turning point in 2006 when he decided to step away from the traditional practices he found misaligned with his core values. Instead of merely categorizing patients and prescribing medications, he sought to create impactful conversations that foster healing. His experiences with thousands of patients convinced him that true recovery stems from connection, not isolation. We delve into the flawed narrative surrounding psychiatric medications, discussing how they frequently exacerbate the very symptoms they’re meant to alleviate. Dr. Moss emphasizes the need for individuals to recognize that experiencing anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenges is part of the human experience, rather than indicating a fundamental problem with oneself. By shifting this perspective, he believes people can reclaim their power and approach their mental health from a place of wholeness rather than deficiency. #MentalHealth #Anxiety #Depression #Psychiatry #HolisticHealing #CreativeExpression #TrueSelf #SelfCare #HumanConnection #MentalWellness #MedicationFree #EmotionalHealing #AlternativeMedicine #HealingThroughArt #AnxietyRelief #MentalHealthAwareness #UnDoctor #PsychiatricMedications #SelfExpression #CreativeArtsTherapy #HealingJourney Learn more about your ad choices. Deb Dana is not only a respected author of several influential books, including "Polyvagal Prompts" and "Polyvagal Exercises for Safety and Connection," but she is also a co-editor of "Clinical Applications of the Polyvagal Theory" with Dr. Stephen Porges. The discussion centers around her new book, "Glimmer's Journal," which encourages readers to reflect on the small moments that foster joy, safety, and connection—core themes that resonate deeply with the podcast's mission. Gina dives straight into Deb’s journey, highlighting how she encountered Dr. Porges’ work and realized the vital role the body and nervous system play in psychotherapy. Deb recounts the pivotal moment when she first read Dr. Porges' book, likening it to finding a missing piece of the puzzle in her understanding of the human experience. She shares how her initial outreach led to a collaborative workshop with Dr. Porges, which opened the door for her to incorporate Polyvagal Theory into clinical practice and ultimately inspired the tools and frameworks she has developed. The conversation explores key concepts of Polyvagal Theory, particularly the significance of safety and the role of the nervous system in our daily lives. Deb explains the concept of neuroception, describing how our nervous systems constantly assess safety and danger based on both internal cues—such as physical sensations and emotional states—and external cues from our environment and interactions with others. She emphasizes that an understanding of these dynamics can empower individuals to discern their feelings of anxiety and recognize them as adaptive survival responses rather than indications of personal failure. #mentalwellness #selfcare #wellbeing #emotionalhealth #innerpeace #healing #resilience #mindbodyconnection #polyvagalinformed #polyvagalpractice #panicattacks #overwhelm #copingskills #ACP #AnxietyCoachesPodcast #GinaRyan Learn more about your ad choices. We begin by exploring the concept of wealth as not solely defined by possessions but by having few wants, drawing inspiration from the stoic philosopher Epictetus. The discussion delves into the paradox where material wealth often leads to stress and anxiety in our modern society. We then shift our focus to the hedonic treadmill, a concept in psychology and economics, which describes how individuals tend to return to a stable level of happiness despite experiencing positive or negative events. The components of adaptation, set point, comparison, and materialism within the hedonic treadmill theory are explored to understand how external circumstances can influence short-term happiness while long-term happiness is closely tied to internal factors such as mindset and values. The conversation emphasizes the importance of simplicity, minimalism, and mindfulness in avoiding financial anxiety. By redefining wealth to include gratitude for what we have, prioritizing experiences over possessions, and aligning spending with values, we can cultivate lasting fulfillment and well-being. Practical tips such as decluttering, tracking expenses, setting meaningful financial goals, and practicing gratitude are discussed as ways to navigate financial stress and anxiety at any income level. The episode encourages listeners to reflect on their values, goals, and spending habits to create a sustainable financial plan that focuses on fulfillment and well-being. By approaching financial stress from a different perspective and finding gratitude in the present moment, we can alleviate anxiety and move towards a more purposeful and contented life. The episode concludes with a quote from Epictetus reminding us that wealth lies not in possessions but in having few wants. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

25 Apr 2018398: Letter to Anxiety Listener Q and A00:24:13
In today's episode Gina reads a letter from a listener who wrote her anxiety itself a letter. The letter describes her experience of the anxiety, the fight-or-flight response, the wise-mind and how these forces interact and influence her life. Listen in as Gina considers the wisdom contained in the letter as well as suggestions for other listeners to write their own letters to their anxiety. Content from today's show: Hi, Gina, I discovered your podcast online and have been delving into the many episodes you have made available. I really have enjoyed listening and am learning a lot. I took your advice and decided to write a letter to my anxiety. I wanted to share it with you. Thank you for your excellent program. Dear Mr. Fight-or-flight, We’ve been roommates for a couple of years now, although you have come to live with me periodically at different times in my life. Each time you have moved in with me, you told me you were concerned about my safety and that you felt it necessary to be my protector I think it’s time we had a little chat. I know you mean well, but you have gone a little haywire in your endeavors to protect me and you have some very unpleasant ways of keeping me safe. You can be extremely demanding and loud, insisting that I listen to you and pay attention to you at the most inopportune times. If I don’t pay attention to you, you just get louder and if I try to push you away, wow, you can be a real bear! Sometimes you try to scare me into listening to you which is hardly an acceptable solution to me. I am laying down a few ground rules. First, I refuse to let you control me and run my life. I have some good friends that I have lost touch with since you came along and I want to renew my relationships with them. My good friend, Live-in-the-moment has been reminding me of the good times we once had together and I want to be with her more often. I guess I can’t stop you from tagging along if you must, but she will be the primary focus of my attention when I am with her. My cousins, Goodness and Mercy have been telling me they would like to have a greater presence in my life as well and they will be shadowing me every day just so you are aware. There are a couple of other traits you have that I find very annoying. You are notorious for propagating fake news which I’m sure you have heard of by now. Many of the stories you have been telling me are simply not true, and they are always so negative and judgmental! They are kind of like reading tragic fiction all day and all night. My neighbor, Mr. Wisemind has informed me of these tendencies of yours and I intend to rewrite those tragic tales you’ve been telling me into something positive. You can be so convincing sometimes and I’ve let you take me on some pretty hellish rides. This is going to stop, maybe not all at once but it will change over time. My Aunt Mybody has encouraged me to sit down and relax with her and take time to breathe and listen to her. She is one of the most realistic, down-to-earth relatives I have and I need to spend some quality time with her every day. I’ve also been inviting Wisdom and Favor to accompany me on my life journey. So … I appreciate your good intentions and your desire to help and I’ll be there for you when you feel you can’t live another moment without my undivided attention. Everyone needs a little compassion and that includes you. I’m grateful for the things I have been learning because of you. All that being said, I will not continue to reward your bullying behavior by giving into your incessant demands. Don’t be surprised if I just watch you from a distance and separate myself from you. I have a secret place I can go where you won’t be allowed to disturb me. Sincerely, C. R. Grounding is a technique that aims to heal an overactive nervous system and reduce inflammation, a contributing factor to anxiety, by connecting the body to the Earth's electrical energy. Research on grounding is still limited, but many experts recommend grounding for an array of benefits, which we will explore further today. Grounding can provide us with improved sleep, better energy and vitality, and a reduction in stress and inflammation, which are all aspects that can either reduce or exacerbate anxiety. It can also provide us with a sense of stability, present-moment awareness, and calmness. We can achieve grounding through simple exercises such as barefoot walking on natural surfaces, engaging in gardening activities, outdoor exercises, and spending more time in nature. Apart from this, we can also take the help of specially designed grounding mats, sheets, and shoes that can connect us with the earth's energy. Although this is still an emerging field of study, there is no harm in trying these practices to see if they work for you, especially if you are someone who frequently experiences anxiety. Managing anxiety boils down to making changes that we can, and accepting those that we cannot. Therefore, it is essential to take care of ourselves by engaging in activities that reduce stress and anxiety levels. In conclusion, getting outside and putting our feet on the ground while being close to nature can provide us with a range of benefits and improved mental health. Learn more about your ad choices. The key is to practice relaxing and not overthinking, allowing the natural ability to float – whether in water or through anxiety – to unfold. She encourages listeners to cultivate a sense of acceptance, allow anxious thoughts to pass, and observe sensations with detached curiosity. Patience, self-compassion, and desensitization are key components in overcoming anxiety gradually. By educating oneself about anxiety, practicing mindfulness techniques, and letting time pass, individuals can learn to float through anxiety rather than fight against it. When we exercise, our bodies undergo various physiological responses, such as an increased heart rate and heightened alertness, which can sometimes trigger anxiety. However, it's important to recognize that these sensations are a natural part of our body's fight or flight response and should not be feared. It's not uncommon for some individuals to associate exercise with anxiety due to crossed wires in their brains. However, it's reassuring to know that many people experience these sensations, and they are not alone in their struggles. Overcoming exercise-induced anxiety takes time, and it's okay if our exercise routines need to evolve and adapt. The key to overcoming exercise-induced anxiety lies in taking gradual steps, practicing patience, and showing ourselves self-compassion. We need to understand that exercise is a powerful tool for managing anxiety, and it benefits everyone, regardless of their mental health status. It helps reduce stress and anxiety by releasing endorphins and oxytocin, elevating our mood. The intensity of the exercise doesn't always matter; even gentle activities like walking, yoga, or doing household chores can have immense benefits for our mental well-being. Consistency is crucial, aiming for at least 30 minutes of exercise, three to five times a week. However, it's essential to start slow and not push ourselves too hard. It's okay to acknowledge and understand the anxiety that may arise during exercise and give ourselves permission to take breaks or adjust the pace. Embarking on a routine of walking outdoors in the fresh air can be immensely helpful in reducing anxiety. It's important to find enjoyable activities that transport our minds somewhere else. Remember, this journey is not a quick fix but a continuous process of personal growth. Being kind to ourselves and not pushing too hard are essential components of this transformative journey.
