[SOLO] Our Embryo Transfer Story (Ep: 5)
00:24:02
1.19 will forever hold a special significance. It's the date my husband and I had our one and only embryo transfer. 6 years ago today, in 2017, is when we witnessed the miracle before our eyes. A ball of light was transferred into me.
Pure Magic.
Not many individuals get the gift of being able to see the very earliest beginnings of their children's lives. From a cluster of cells, the size of a period at the end of a sentence, it's hard to describe the feeling seeing where we are today.
Transfer Day - we held on for this day. A day of celebration. A day of relief finally being able to experience our embryo being transferred into me with the hopes of implantation.
In this episode I share a high level overview of our fertility journey to reach our one healthy embryo, and the overwhelming joy of reaching our "Dot Day."
You'll hear personal journal excerpts I had written on days leading up to this day and reflections of it just days after.
The "happy tears" after experiencing a successful embryo transfer have stayed with me forever. From a "dot" to a thriving 5 year old little girl.
We are forever grateful for the miracle of IVF that helped bring us our daughter.
I hope you enjoy this soulful episode shared straight from my heart.
If you're preparing for an embryo transfer I hope you continue to lead with love over fear. As my niece (Sam Costigan @samcostiganmusic) beautifully shares in the song she wrote for this podcast, "Let the Light in, Let it Begin." May you continue to keep that light alive, and know there is so much support for you along this path. Reach out to me for fertility coaching support and resources to help guide you along the way.

Staying Empowered & Supported During Seasons of Waiting w/ Kacia Ghetmiri (Ep: 7)
00:47:28
My guest Kacia Ghetmiri exudes such a bright light. You can't help but be drawn to her upbeat energy and zest for life! We connected at a women’s brunch event in May of 2022, literally right when she moved to Denver, CO, and I’ve been a fan of hers ever since.
Kacia is a life enthusiast, multi-passionate entrepreneur, speaker, event host, and podcaster who's on a mission to help women unapologetically share their voice & message with the world.
Along with hosting her own podcast empowerHER which just surpassed 7 million downloads in only 3.5 years, she is also the host of empowerHER Live, an annual event with hundreds of women.
Kacia has found that what's often holding women back is the thoughts that they think about who they are & what they are capable of so she takes her knowledge from working with hundreds of entrepreneurs over the years, paired with her high energy bubbly personality and a "Come with me, let's figure this out together" approach to light a fire under their booty to get out of their own way & go!
Episode 7: You're going to get SO many takeaways from this episode especially if you're navigating a hard season.
Ask yourself -
What are you labeling the space when we’re in the waiting and on the path of our desires?
How are you equipping yourself along the way as you’re in pursuit of your dreams?
How is this time of waiting serving you?
What can you focus on what you CAN control and what you can’t.
How do you feel when you leave someone’s presence? If you’re not full and lit up, you may need to distance yourself from them…are they draining your energy?
Ask yourself are you putting out what you’d like to call in? Support from others?
Some of Kacia's quotes I LOVED:
"You’re in control of your thoughts."
“Our days are numbered and we don’t know the count.”
“Whatever we’re looking for we’re going to find.”
“Call your shot and say it!”
"Be the friend you want to have. Be the significant other you want to have."
“What is your success criteria? What are deposits you’re putting into your confidence bucket?”

IVF, Therapy, & Marriage Challenges w/ Erin of My Beautiful Blunder (Ep: 19)
00:44:52
Today I'm talking with the incredible Erin of 'My Beautiful Blunder.' She is so open in sharing the challenges she and her husband faced in their marriage throughout their fertility path. I loved this heartfelt conversation so much.
Erin is one to not shy away from the hard issues. Listen in to her fertility story and perspectives related to therapy and counseling support. We cover supports that have helped her through this long journey and so much more.
Huge THANK YOU to Erin bringing light to this incredibly hard topic. Read her bio below and connect with her on IG @mybeautifulblunder.
Erin's Bio: I'm 38 and I’ve been dealing with unexplained infertility since I was 26! I wasn’t getting a period and therefore not ovulating on my own. We went in for an IUI in 2010 and it worked! We conceived triplets and had to have a reduction to twins at 9 weeks. between that trauma and dealing with infertility and then twins at a young age my husband and I went through years of marital issues and verbal abuse. He finally decided to get help and he started seeking therapy. We hit rock bottom but came out so much stronger. Then we tried for a 3rd but again no period so we went to IVF. They said I would be the perfect candidate at 33. But we went through 3 years of treatments. 4 egg retrievals, one long miscarriage and D&C, 4 hysteroscopies, MRI’s, and 7 transfers until our last normal embryo stuck! Eriela was born in 2020 on Election Day. Currently have one last embryo but it’s mosaic and we are still debating what to do with it. My twins are now 11 so there is a 9.5 year age gap with my girls. Still actively in therapy as a married couple and working on having a period through naturopathy! I’ve had 8 since March which is more than I’ve ever had without added hormones!

[SOLO] Grieving, Healing, Releasing, & Remembering - Honoring the Cycle of Death & Birth (Ep: 22)
00:21:07
In this solo episode I share openly about what I've been living through - the passing of loved ones and celebrating birthdays.
The cycle of life with death and renewal is not a topic often talked about, but I'm here for these real life conversations, and I hope you're here for them too.
In today's talk, which I intentionally decided to release on my birthday, I open up and share some of the new insights I've gained through love and loss. May you find comfort you're not alone in whatever you may be grieving.
At the end of this episode I read a poem called "Season" that I felt called to share. Written by Tolbert McCarroll, it gave me a lot of comfort after the passing of my mom a few years ago... and it brings comfort now.
May you continue to honor the seasons we all experience - yearly, monthly, daily, and with each breath.
If you're on IVF path and in search of support, I offer private 1:1 and intimate group offerings. See below for ways to work with me.
Know I'm here for you, and thank you for celebrating my birthday with me.

[Client Success] IVF Mindset & Spiritual Practices w/ One Embryo - Urvi’s Story (Ep: 29)
00:41:42
In this recent episode, I had a heartfelt conversation with one of my past clients named Urvi.
She opens up about the Mindset she carried with her on her fertility path as well as the spiritual practices she practiced along the way. She bravely shared her personal fertility journey, which lasted for eight years and involved going through IVF. Both Urvi and I connected on the shared experience of having one healthy embryo and navigating the challenges of one's path to motherhood. In our conversation she vulnerably reveals a painful medical condition she was diagnosed with impacting her ability to conceive. In deciding to move forward with IVF at the age of 38 and learning of her one healthy embryo, she shares what helped in most in not letting fear take over.
As a spiritual teacher and mindset coach herself, Urvi understands the importance of tapping into the spiritual side of one's fertility path. She shares mantras that supported her, special signs and symbols, holistic practices, as well as the significance of the card I pulled in our one on one call together. It's an incredible soul sister conversation filled with tips to help you stay in that hopeful, empowered state as we move into the unknown through IVF.
After joining one of my sisterhood circles, we scheduled a call during her two-week wait, where I helped guide her towards leading with love and trusting in her Inner Knowing. Urvi truly embodies the essence of what I write about in 'Hold On, Baby.'
In this episode, you'll hear about the symbols, spiritual signs, serendipity, and how she tapped into her creativity and art. It's a beautiful conversation that I'm excited to share with you.

Marilyn is a fellow fertility warrior, mama of one, and the creator of Infertile Tees. She is a passionate empath, Latina, loves stillness, peace, and light. Marilyn was desperate to find other ways to heal during her infertility journey along with talk therapy, so she got her reiki certification to help her heal through trauma of it all. That transfer failed so she closed her chapter of expanding her family to focus on healing and embracing and normalizing having one child, in a society that asks for one more. Marilyn is an advocate and speaker, and passionate about self-advocacy, community, and healing. She owns an online store Infertile Tees, statement tees for your infertility journey, to encourage women to talk about their story and feel less alone. Embryo Grading in IVF - A Clinical Conversation w/ Dr. Greene (Ep. 77)
00:24:07
When it comes to embryo grading, there's a lot of confusion and outdated practices that could be standing in the way of your fertility journey. If you've ever felt overwhelmed or misled by the grading systems used by clinics, this episode is for you. Today, we’re breaking down the complexities of embryo grading with Dr. Greene, uncovering what these grades really mean and how they impact your chances of success.
Are you putting too much weight on embryo grades without understanding what they really represent?
Embryo grading can be a critical part of the IVF process, but many people are in the dark about its true significance. While it’s tempting to fixate on getting a perfect "AA" grade, the reality is that grading is just one piece of the puzzle. Misunderstanding or overvaluing these grades can lead to unnecessary stress and potentially misguided decisions.
The truth about embryo grading is more complex than you think.
By the time you finish listening, you’ll discover:
👉The real purpose of embryo grading and why it’s not the be-all and end-all of your IVF journey.
👉How the Gardner Classification, a system over 20 years old, is still in use today and what that means for you.
👉The difference between grading and genetic testing, and why the latter is often more critical.
👉Why not all "AA" embryos are created equal, and how to interpret your results with the help of your clinic.
Note: This conversation with Dr. Greene took place in August 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. We're resharing it now to provide you with insights that may still be relevant to your fertility journey. Keep in mind that these are Dr. Greene's personal opinions from that date, and the landscape of fertility treatments is always evolving.
Don’t let confusion or outdated practices dictate your fertility journey. By understanding the ins and outs of embryo grading, you can make more informed decisions that align with your unique circumstances.
