Dr. Jessica Asgarpour is a Canadian and American board-certified dermatologist. She completed her medical school at the Cumming School of Medicine, in Calgary, Alberta, where she was born and raised. She went on to the University of Alberta for her residency training in dermatology, where she acted as co-chief resident from 2019-2020, and was awarded the Dr. Andrew Lin Dermatology Scholar award. She has also been awarded multiple scholarships to conferences to keep her up-to-date with the ever changing medical literature. 

She has published in many peer-reviewed journals, and practices medicine with this same evidence-based approach. She practices medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. When she is not practicing dermatology, she enjoys keeping active and loves to run, spin and hike.

About Dr.Anthony Russell, MD, FRCPC  

Dr. Anthony Russell is an experienced rheumatologist at the University of Alberta, who has a focus on fibromyalgia and general rheumatology

After qualifying in the UK from Cambridge then Guy's hospital, Dr.Russell trained in rheumatology with Prof Bywaters and Barbara Ansell, then moved to Dallas, TX for a research fellowship with Morris Ziff, and back to the UK at the Kennedy institute. 

Following these peregrinations he settled in Edmonton, married had a family and has been enjoying it there ever since.

About Dr.Jaggi Rao, MD, FRCPC

Dr. Jaggi Rao is a double board certified dermatologist (Canada and USA) and a certified cosmetic surgeon. He completed his  dermatology training at the University of Alberta, followed by an accredited fellowship with the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery in Southern California. Dr. Rao is a full Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Alberta. 

Dr. Rao has won several accolades for research and teaching, including the Canadian Dermatology Association’s Teacher of the Year Award.

In 2011, he was the recipient of Avenue Magazine’s Top 40 under 40 Award. He has authored over 50 scientific papers and textbook chapters, and has been an invited speaker for over 500 lectures worldwide to physicians, other professionals, and the general public.

Dr. Rao continues to lend his expertise to various organizations. He sits on the board of directors for CAAM( Canadian Association of Aesthetics  Medicine) and acts as a consultant to the government (such as the Canadian Standards Association), laser and pharmaceutical industry, and professional sports teams.

Dr.Mo Bardi completed his training in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at UBC, including a fellowship in musculoskeletal ultrasound through the American College of Rheumatology USSONAR program.

Further, he has trained internationally in the use of ultrasound for the assessment of large vessel vasculitis and leads a fast-track ultrasound setup in his practice. Dr. Bardi is a Clinical Instructor at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and active rheumatologist staff at Vancouver General Hospital. He is part of the Vasculitis clinic at Mary Pack Arthritis Center with a focus on Giant Cell Arteritis. His ongoing research is in the areas of ultrasound in the assessment of large vessel vasculitis and the diagnostic role of musculoskeletal ultrasound in inflammatory and non-inflammatory joint diseases.

About Dr.Jonathan Chan, MD, FRCPC  

Rheumatologist  | Vancouver

 Dr. Chan is an assistant clinical professor at the University of British Columbia and an Adult Rheumatologist and Clinical Investigator with Arthritis Research Canada. (ARC). He has a clinical focus and research interest in the areas of axial spondyloarthritis and psoriatic arthritis. He was awarded an Assessment of Spondyloarthritis Society (ASAS) fellowship grant and completed a clinical fellowship at the University of Toronto in axial spondyloarthritis (ankylosing spondylitis).  Dr.Chan actively pursues research in this field and has been invited to present on this topic internationally in addition to being the coauthor of the Canadian Spondylitis Treatment Guidelines.

His research focuses on early identification, long term outcomes, radiographic progression, and use of administrative databases. Dr.Chan is the core site leader of the  national spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis research cohorts (SPARCC and iPART)  which follow patients with spondyloarthritis and psoriatic arthritis. He also participates in clinical trials evaluating the efficacy and safety of mew therapies in these types of inflammatory arthritis.

ABOUT Dr.Marni Wiseman MD FRCPC

Dr. Marni Wiseman began her Dermatology practice in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 2001. In addition to her teaching responsibilities as an Associate Professor and Section Head of Dermatology in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Manitoba, Dr. Wiseman is the Medical Director of SKiNWISE DERMATOLOGY where she is involved in a general dermatology practice.

Dr. Wiseman’s areas of interest include psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, acne, and aesthetic dermatology. She actively participates in clinical trials through Wiseman Dermatology Research, where she has participated in over a hundred clinical trials. Dr. Wiseman is a frequent supervisor and mentor for medical students and residents. She has extensively published in areas of inflammatory skin disease, photodermatosis, and cutaneous malignancy.

Her community commitments are extensive and include involvement with the Canadian Dermatology Association as Provincial Director of the National Sun Awareness Program. She is an editor of the Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery, and was the chair of the Skin Cancer Disease Site Group at CancerCare Manitoba for 15 years. Dr. Wiseman does regular outreach skin cancer screening clinics in rural locations of Manitoba, has been featured in many news stories, and regularly presents at meetings and congresses nationally and internationally.

🎧 🎉Dr. Thorne is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, and is on the Consultant Staff at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, Ontario where he was Chief of the Division of Rheumatology and Director of The Arthritis Program; the latter is a unique Inter-Professional care program established to optimize outcomes for people who have arthritis and other rheumatic disorders. He is sought for his expertise in developing Outcome Based clinical Programs, not only in Arthritis Care, but also Shared Care in a Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Program, Wound Management and NeuroRehab/Stroke Care.

He is active in Clinical Research as Principal Investigator with The Arthritis Program Research Group Inc. As part of a strategic interest in identifying ‘Best Practices’, he has established an Early Arthritis Clinic, collaborating with a national initiative, CATCH -of which he is a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee and Operations Director, and an Osteoporosis Intervention Clinic. He sits on the Steering and Scientific Committee of the Ontario Best Practices Research Initiative, a collaborative attempt among stakeholders to describe and disseminate outcomes and best practices, in the management of Rheumatoid Arthritis. He was an active Investigator and participant in the successful Canadian Rheumatology Research Consortium and served as Secretary-Treasurer, until its conclusion in 2014. He is a founding member of the Ontario Rheumatology Association and Past-President (2006-10). He is past President of the Canadian Rheumatology Association (2012-2014) and past Secretary-Treasurer (1996-2004). He is past Secretary-Treasurer of PANLAR, and has served on the Steering Committee of CARE, a European-based group interested in the non-pharmacologic management of arthritis. He was a member of the Rehab Committee of the American College of Rheumatology 2003-09 and served as Chair pf the Committee, till its dissolution.

He has been involved in improving care for those with arthritis through the above initiatives, and his work with CRA and ORA, in Best Practices identification and dissemination strategies, and development of Models of Care frameworks (ORA); and improving the health of the community, as a past member of the York Region District Health Council (DHC) and past-Chair of the amalgamated Simcoe-York DHC. Since the recent cancellation of TAP by Southlake, he has become energized in the establishment of a Not-for-Profit organization (Centre of Arthritis Excellence - CArE) to develop a community-based MSK program, the first of its kind supported by the Ontario Ministry of Health, as a Portal of MSK Care, utilizing an Inter-Professional MoC, opening September 2022.

Dr. Thorne has been recognized by his colleagues and peers, with the ORA Distinguished Rheumatologist Award (2010), the CRA Distinguished Rheumatologist Award (2015), and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (2012), and has been recognized as a Master of the American College of Rheumatology (2016), in Washington DC. Dermatologist, Windsor, ON

Dr. Tan received his medical degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and trained in internal medicine at the University of Toronto and in dermatology at University of British Columbia and University of Michigan. His general dermatology and aesthetic dermatology practices are in Windsor Ontario Canada. He conducts clinical trials research at Windsor Clinical Research, a clinical trials site in dermatology. Aside from industry grants, he has received research funding from the Canadian Dermatology Foundation and the National Institutes of Health Research.

Research focus includes acne, acne scars and rosacea. Additional interests include outcome measurements and informed shared decision making in dermatology. 

Dr. Tan chairs the working group on clinical practice guidelines of the Canadian Dermatology Association, the rosacea international consensus group (ROSCO) and the acne core outcomes research network (ACORN). He has been an associate editor of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and the British Journal of Dermatology. Over the past 3 decades, Dr. Tan has authored/co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications.

Dr. Marissa Joseph is a board certified Pediatrician and Dermatologist and completed her Pediatric training at the Hospital For Sick Children, followed by her Dermatology residency at the University of Toronto. She completed a MSc in Community Health at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health.

Dr. Joseph is full time academic faculty at the University of Toronto. She has received and has been nominated for teaching awards in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. 

Dr. Joseph is the Medical Director of the Ricky Kanee Schachter Dermatology Centre at Women's College Hospital. She also works at the Hospital For Sick Children where she manages children with complex dermatologic disease in outpatient and inpatient settings, as well as a pediatric laser treatment program. Dr. Joseph enjoys her diverse practice in general adult, pediatric and surgical dermatology. Her clinical and research interests include inflammatory skin disorders such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and hidradenitis suppurativa; genodermatoses, and equity, diversity and inclusivity.

Dr. Geeta Yadav is an expert in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. A second-generation Canadian, her interest in under-serviced communities and treating BIPOC patients was inspired by her childhood travels to India. She holds a master’s degree in International Health from Johns Hopkins and completed her dermatology training at the University of Toronto, where she still teaches today. Dr. Yadav is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. 

When she’s not working, she volunteers as an Alumni Governor at the University of Toronto. She also loves running, dancing, and spending time with her husband and three young children.

Dr. Jaggi Rao is a double board certified dermatologist (Canada and USA) and a certified cosmetic surgeon. He completed his  dermatology training at the University of Alberta, followed by an accredited fellowship with the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery in Southern California. Dr. Rao is a full Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Alberta. 

Dr. Rao has won several accolades for research and teaching, including the Canadian Dermatology Association’s Teacher of the Year Award.

In 2011, he was the recipient of Avenue Magazine’s Top 40 under 40 Award. He has authored over 50 scientific papers and textbook chapters, and has been an invited speaker for over 500 lectures worldwide to physicians, other professionals, and the general public.

Dr. Rao continues to lend his expertise to various organizations. He sits on the board of directors for CAAM( Canadian Association of Aesthetics  Medicine) and acts as a consultant to the government (such as the Canadian Standards Association), laser and pharmaceutical industry, and professional sports teams.

About Dr.Peter Vadas, MD, FRCPC, PhD.

Dr. Vadas is Division Head of the Division of Clinical Immunology and Allergy and a senior scientist at St. Michael's Hospital Research Institute, with a focus on basic, translational and clinical research in the areas of biochemical and clinical risk factors predisposing to severe and fatal multi-system allergic reactions and mechanisms of induction of tolerance. His office practice at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto specifically includes investigation and treatment of allergic rhinitis, urticaria and angioedema, anaphylaxis, mastocytosis, asthma, adverse drug reactions and reactions to stinging insects, including venom immunotherapy

In addition to his clinical practice as an allergist and clinical immunologist, Dr. Vadas is an experienced legal medicine specialist in the areas of life-threatening anaphylaxis and anaphylactic shock, food allergies, adverse drug reactions and severe reactions to stinging insects.  He provides litigation support as an expert medical witness for both defence and plaintiffs.

After getting a Master's degree in Cancer Biology and a Medical Degree from the University of Calgary, she went on to complete her dermatology residency at McGill University and the University of British Columbia. She has established a women's health clinic at Beacon Dermatology which includes treatment for acne, rosacea, vulvar (female genital) skin conditions, hidradenitis suppurativa, and cosmetic procedures. 

She is very active on provincial, national and international committees and advisory boards and is currently Chair of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee of the Canadian Dermatology Association and President of the Canadian Hidradenitis Suppurativa Foundation. She enjoys teaching and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary Cumming School of Medicine. She lives just outside Calgary with her husband and three children and enjoys hiking, tennis and skating on her outdoor rink in her backyard in the winter.

After receiving a Master’s of Health Science in Health and Behavioural Communication at Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario, Dr. O’Toole received her medical degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, and completed her residency in dermatology at the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Ontario. 

Dr. O’Toole is the author or co-author of over 20 peer-reviewed publications and has been involved ias a sub-investigator for over 40 clinical trials on atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, alopecia, acne and vitiligo.

ABOUT Dr.Melinda Gooderham, MD, FRCPC ( Dermatology)

Toronto, ON

Melinda Gooderham MD MSc FRCPC Dr. Gooderham is a Dermatologist and Medical Director at the SKiN Centre for Dermatology and an Investigator with Probity Medical Research. She is an Assistant Professor at Queens University and a Consultant Physician at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Dr. Gooderham has been the principal investigator for over 200 clinical trials and she practices with a focus on inflammatory diseases of the skin. She also contributes to several peer-reviewed dermatology publications as an associate editor, reviewer, and has been an author of 205 articles. She enjoys lecturing to global audiences on new therapies for skin diseases.

ABOUT Dr. Geeta Yadav, MSc, MD, FRCPC ( Dermatology)

Toronto, ON

Dr. Geeta Yadav is an expert in both medical and cosmetic dermatology and founder of FACET Dermatology in Toronto. . A second-generation Canadian, her interest in under-serviced communities and treating BIPOC patients was inspired by her childhood travels to India. She holds a master’s degree in International Health from Johns Hopkins and completed her dermatology training at the University of Toronto, where she still teaches today. Dr. Yadav is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. She has a special interest in skin of color and has been quoted in numerous main stream publications including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Allure, Vanity Fair and Cosmopolitan.

When she’s not working, she volunteers as an Alumni Governor at the University of Toronto. She also loves running, dancing, and spending time with her husband and three young children.

About Dr.Elena Netchiporouk, MD, M.Sc., FRCPC

Dermatologist, Montreal

Dr. Elena Netchiporouk is an Assistant Professor and Director of Undergraduate Medical Education in Dermatology at McGill University. She earned her M.D. degree at Université de Montréal and dermatology residency training at the McGill University Health Centre with an Experimental Medicine M.Sc. degree from McGill University.

Elena is a Junior Scientist within the Infectious Diseases and Immunity in Global Health Program of the MUHC-Research Institute studying cutaneous autoimmunity, scleroderma and chronic urticaria. She leads a complex care, skin fibrosis and chronic urticaria clinics at the Montreal General Hospital Site of the MUHC.

Her research program is supported by several grants from the Canadian Dermatology Foundation, Association des Médecins Spécialistes Dermatologues du Québec, Department of Medicine (McGill University) and Ministère d’Éducation et Innovation du Québec. She is actively involved in Dermatology Residency Training Program and is the founder of the Interactive Dermatology Learning Platform for Dermatology residents and Primary Care Providers Montreal Derm FilEZ© (Montrealdermfilez.ca) set to launch this year.

Dr. Michele Ramien is an academic dermatologist based at the Alberta Children’s Hospital, in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Calgary, Canada. She has both pediatric and general medical dermatology practices, with a focus on teaching and mentoring the next generations and research interests in eczema management, patient education, and severe cutaneous reactions in children.

Dr. Ramien enjoys volunteer leadership positions as a way to meet colleagues across the country, like-minded and not, who believe that a small group of thoughtful, committed individuals can change and improve dermatology and delivery of care in Canada.

Dr.Angela Law is a dually certified dermatologist in Canada and the US. She completed her medical school training at the University of British Columbia and was accepted into the joint Dermatology program between the University of Saskatchewan and Dalhousie University. She opened SkinSense Dermatology in Saskatoon after residency and practiced medical and aesthetic dermatology for six years before moving back to Vancouver during the COVID pandemic.  

She is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Dermatology and Skin Sciences at UBC and sits on the Undergraduate Education Committee in Dermatology. Dr. Marissa Joseph is a board certified Pediatrician and Dermatologist and completed her Pediatric training at the Hospital For Sick Children, followed by her Dermatology residency at the University of Toronto. She completed a MSc in Community Health at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health.

Dr. Joseph is full time academic faculty at the University of Toronto. She has received and has been nominated for teaching awards in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. 

Dr. Joseph is the Medical Director of the Ricky Kanee Schachter Dermatology Centre at Women's College Hospital. She also works at the Hospital For Sick Children where she manages children with complex dermatologic disease in outpatient and inpatient settings, as well as a pediatric laser treatment program. Dr. Joseph enjoys her diverse practice in general adult, pediatric and surgical dermatology. Her clinical and research interests include inflammatory skin disorders such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and hidradenitis suppurativa; genodermatoses, and equity, diversity and inclusivity.

She is also cross appointed at the Section of Paediatric Dermatology at the Hospital for Sick Children, and the Division of Obstetric Medicine at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

She completed her medical school and dermatology residency at the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital. 🎧 🎉Dr. Thorne is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, and is on the Consultant Staff at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, Ontario where he was Chief of the Division of Rheumatology and Director of The Arthritis Program; the latter is a unique Inter-Professional care program established to optimize outcomes for people who have arthritis and other rheumatic disorders. He is sought for his expertise in developing Outcome Based clinical Programs, not only in Arthritis Care, but also Shared Care in a Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Program, Wound Management and NeuroRehab/Stroke Care.

He is active in Clinical Research as Principal Investigator with The Arthritis Program Research Group Inc. As part of a strategic interest in identifying ‘Best Practices’, he has established an Early Arthritis Clinic, collaborating with a national initiative, CATCH of which he is a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee and Operations Director, and an Osteoporosis Intervention Clinic. He sits on the Steering and Scientific Committee of the Ontario Best Practices Research Initiative, a collaborative attempt among stakeholders to describe and disseminate outcomes and best practices, in the management of Rheumatoid Arthritis. He was an active Investigator and participant in the successful Canadian Rheumatology Research Consortium and served as Secretary-Treasurer, until its conclusion in 2014. He is a founding member of the Ontario Rheumatology Association and Past-President (2006-10). He is past President of the Canadian Rheumatology Association (2012-2014) and past Secretary-Treasurer (1996-2004). He is past Secretary-Treasurer of PANLAR, and has served on the Steering Committee of CARE, a European-based group interested in the non-pharmacologic management of arthritis. He was a member of the Rehab Committee of the American College of Rheumatology 2003-09 and served as Chair pf the Committee, till its dissolution.

He has been involved in improving care for those with arthritis through the above initiatives, and his work with CRA and ORA, in Best Practices identification and dissemination strategies, and development of Models of Care frameworks (ORA); and improving the health of the community, as a past member of the York Region District Health Council (DHC) and past-Chair of the amalgamated Simcoe-York DHC. Since the recent cancellation of TAP by Southlake, he has become energized in the establishment of a Not-for-Profit organization (Centre of Arthritis Excellence - CArE) to develop a community-based MSK program, the first of its kind supported by the Ontario Ministry of Health, as a Portal of MSK Care, utilizing an Inter-Professional MoC, opening September 2022.

Dr. Thorne has been recognized by his colleagues and peers, with the ORA Distinguished Rheumatologist Award (2010), the CRA Distinguished Rheumatologist Award (2015), and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (2012), and has been recognized as a Master of the American College of Rheumatology (2016), in Washington DC.

Melinda Gooderham MD MSc FRCPC Dr. Gooderham is a Dermatologist and Medical Director at the SKiN Centre for Dermatology and an Investigator with Probity Medical Research. She is an Assistant Professor at Queens University and a Consultant Physician at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Dr. Gooderham has been the principal investigator for over 200 clinical trials and she practices with a focus on inflammatory diseases of the skin. She also contributes to several peer-reviewed dermatology publications as an associate editor, reviewer, and has been an author of 205 articles. She enjoys lecturing to global audiences on new therapies for skin diseases.

Dr. Jessica Asgarpour is a Canadian and American board-certified dermatologist. She completed her medical school at the Cumming School of Medicine, in Calgary, Alberta, where she was born and raised. She went on to the University of Alberta for her residency training in dermatology, where she acted as co-chief resident from 2019-2020, and was awarded the Dr. Andrew Lin Dermatology Scholar award. She has also been awarded multiple scholarships to conferences to keep her up-to-date with the ever changing medical literature.

Dr. Jennifer Beecker is a Royal College-certified dermatologist who is fully trained and certified in three separate medical specialties: Dermatology, Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine. In addition, she has earned American board-certification as a dermatologist by the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Beecker is an active Staff Dermatologist at The Ottawa Hospital and Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa. The range of conditions in which Dr. Beecker holds expertise includes medical dermatology, skin cancer, as well as cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. Beecker is a national expert in skin cancer detection and prevention. Dr. Beecker founded the Melanoma and Pigmented Lesion Clinic at The Ottawa Hospital academic teaching centre. She is the only dermatologist in Canada using this specialized equipment at a teaching hospital. Dr. Beecker trains medical residents and medical students in this clinic, as well as in general dermatology clinics. She is also Vice-Chair of the Dermatology Examination Committee at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, which sets and conducts the exam for dermatology residents graduating and attempting to obtain Canadian certification as a dermatologist.

As Research Director for the Division of Dermatology at The Ottawa Hospital and a Clinical Investigator in the Clinical Epidemiology Program at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (OHRI), Dr. Beecker conducts and supervises many research studies, and has multiple publications in the medical literature. She is invited to lecture about dermatology locally, nationally, and internationally, and is frequently interviewed by the media, especially on topics such as sun protection and skin cancer. In 2020, Dr. Beecker was awarded the prestigious “President’s Cup Award” by the Canadian Dermatology Association for the second time having also received this award in 2016. She is now President Elect of the Canadian Dermatology Association.

Dr. Lam is a Canadian board-certified dermatologist. She completed her medical school training at the University of Calgary & her dermatology residency at the University of Alberta. Since graduating, Dr. Lam has become a Clinical Lecturer with the University of Alberta. Her particular passions in dermatology are acne & hidradenitis suppurativa deroofings. 

In addition to her regular practice, she volunteers on overseas medical trips. Her passion for providing care for under-served populations has taken her to Nunavut & rural Fiji. Outside of medicine, Dr. Lam is a proud aunt to 4 dogs, culinary enthusiast & international explorer.

ABOUT Dr.Susan Poelman, MSc, MD, FRCP(C), FCDA

Calgary,AB

Dr. Poelman is a Canadian and U.S. board-certified Dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. After getting a Master's degree in Cancer Biology and a Medical Degree from the University of Calgary, she went on to complete her dermatology residency at McGill University and the University of British Columbia. She has established a women's health clinic at Beacon Dermatology which includes treatment for acne, rosacea, vulvar (female genital) skin conditions, hidradenitis suppurativa, and cosmetic procedures. 

She is very active on provincial, national and international committees and advisory boards and is currently Chair of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee of the Canadian Dermatology Association and President of the Canadian Hidradenitis Suppurativa Foundation. She enjoys teaching and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary Cumming School of Medicine. She lives just outside Calgary with her husband and three children and enjoys hiking, tennis and skating on her outdoor rink in her backyard in the winter.

Melinda Gooderham MD MSc FRCPC Dr. Gooderham is a Dermatologist and Medical Director at the SKiN Centre for Dermatology and an Investigator with Probity Medical Research. She is an Assistant Professor at Queens University and a Consultant Physician at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Dr. Gooderham has been the principal investigator for over 200 clinical trials and she practices with a focus on inflammatory diseases of the skin. She also contributes to several peer-reviewed dermatology publications as an associate editor, reviewer, and has been an author of 205 articles. She enjoys lecturing to global audiences on new therapies for skin diseases.

Dr.Angela Law is a dually certified dermatologist in Canada and the US. She completed her medical school training at the University of British Columbia and was accepted into the joint Dermatology program between the University of Saskatchewan and Dalhousie University. She opened SkinSense Dermatology in Saskatoon after residency and practiced medical and aesthetic dermatology for six years before moving back to Vancouver during the COVID pandemic.  

She is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Dermatology and Skin Sciences at UBC and sits on the Undergraduate Education Committee in Dermatology. She has a special interest in pediatric and adolescent dermatology but has been trained in all aspects of medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She splits her time between her new medical clinic with a group of seasoned plastic surgeons at Clinic One Three Eight in downtown Vancouver, aesthetics at Dermapure and a Dermatology rapid access clinic at Mount St. Joseph’s Hospital through Providence Health.

Dr. Marissa Joseph is a board certified Pediatrician and Dermatologist after completing Pediatric training at the Hospital For Sick Children, following with a Dermatology residency at the University of Toronto. She completed a MSc in Community Health at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health.

Dr. Joseph is full time academic faculty at the Unee Schachter Dermatology Centre at Women's College Hospital. She also works at the Hospital For Sick Children where she manages children with complex dermatologic disease in outpatient and inpatient settings, as well as a pediatric laser treatment program. Dr. Joseph enjoys her diverse practice in general adult, pediatric and surgical dermatology. ABOUT Dr.Marni Wiseman MD FRCPC

Dr. Marni Wiseman began her Dermatology practice in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 2001. In addition to her teaching responsibilities as an Associate Professor and Section Head of Dermatology in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Manitoba, Dr. Wiseman is the Medical Director of SKiNWISE DERMATOLOGY where she is involved in a general dermatology practice.

Dr. Wiseman’s areas of interest include psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, acne, and aesthetic dermatology. She actively participates in clinical trials through Wiseman Dermatology Research, where she has participated in over a hundred clinical trials. Dr. Wiseman is a frequent supervisor and mentor for medical students and residents. She has extensively published in areas of inflammatory skin disease, photodermatosis, and cutaneous malignancy.

Her community commitments are extensive and include involvement with the Canadian Dermatology Association as Provincial Director of the National Sun Awareness Program. She is an editor of the Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery, and was the chair of the Skin Cancer Disease Site Group at CancerCare Manitoba for 15 years. Dr. Wiseman does regular outreach skin cancer screening clinics in rural locations of Manitoba, has been featured in many news stories, and regularly presents at meetings and congresses nationally and internationally.

🎧  Dr. Hong is a board certified dermatologist working in Greater Vancouver BC, Canada. He runs a busy office based dermatology clinic with a focus on clinical research. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Skin Sciences and teaches at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, where he is active staff. Dr. Hong is the past head of the BC Section of Dermatology, the current Economics representative for Dermatology at the BCMA, and is the past chair of the Education Committee of the Canadian Dermatology Association. He is also a past examiner in Dermatology for the Royal College of Physicians of Canada residency qualification examination.

Dr. Hong is active in clinical practice and dermatology research. His main clinical areas of interest are psoriasis and eczema. He has been an investigator in over 150 trials of treatments in dermatology and has over 50 peer reviewed publications. He has lectured locally, nationally, and internationally on dermatology treatments and has been an invited speaker at international dermatology congresses.
