It was the first solo episode I ever did but it seemed to have resonated with many of you and I have to admit I’ve listened to many times since and had to take on my own advice, so I wanted to share it again in case anyone needs to listen to this advice right now. "
In this episode Caggie handpicks a few of your relationship questions and, using her own experiences and what she's learnt through her Saturn returns, goes deep on the subject of relationships and how to navigate breakups. She talks staying on your own path, processing pain and finding closure.

🪐 Navigating difficulty in relationships, power struggles and attachment patterns
🪐 The rise of "Instagram Therapy" and how it can be both helpful in providing education, but also problematic when people start diagnosing their partners based on pop psychology terms they've learned online
🪐 The importance of finding the right therapist fit, and not feeling discouraged if the first therapist isn't a good match

Paul, who spent over 30 years as the senior pastor of Life Church in Bradford, has shifted his focus to helping people "wake up" to their potential. Breaking Free from Social Norms: Paul offers practical advice for those who felt out of place in their youth but didn’t understand why. He discusses how small steps can lead to breaking free from societal moulds and reconnecting with authenticity.
The Tyranny of the Education System: Paul critiques the one-size-fits-all model of Western education, highlighting teacher burnout and the system’s archaic structure. He believes bold, new ideas are needed to educate and inspire future generations.
Listening to Your Intuition: Paul shares how we can start paying attention to our intuition or “niggles” and why journaling is a powerful tool to capture these insights, helping us recognize patterns in our thoughts and feelings.
Leadership and Influence: In Paul’s view, leadership is about influence, not authority. He challenges the traditional command-and-obey structure and encourages everyone to see themselves as potential leaders, shaping the world through influence rather than hierarchy.

In this week's episode of Saturn Returns join Caggie in conversation with Katherine Morgan Schafler, a licensed psychotherapist, writer, and speaker based in New York City, who is also the author of the book 'The Perfectionists Guide to Losing Control.' In this insightful discussion, Caggie and Katherine explore the complex nature of perfectionism, a common challenge that many encounter during their Saturn Return as perfectionism is an aspect of the shadow side of Saturn. They discuss the unattainable standards and nagging desire for perfection that can often arise during this transformative time of life but how this ultimately causes us to stall, sabotage and leave things unfinished. Drawing from her clinical expertise, Katherine dispels myths about perfectionism and breaks down the five main types she has identified. 04 Oct 2021 | 4.3 Inner Child Work with Stefanie Stahl | 00:45:34
One of Germany’s leading clinical psychologists and author of The Child In You, Stefanie Stahl, joins Caggie today. Stefanie’s work focuses around the principle that our early imprints from childhood shape our behaviour and belief systems, which impact our relationships, friendships and generally how we show up in the world in adult life. She differentiates between the Shadow Child (our negative beliefs), and the Sun Child (our more positive beliefs) and advocates making friends with the Shadow Child in order to understand ourselves better.
Inner child work can be heavy, especially when unearthing trauma, so a professional therapist can be really helpful in this process. But during our Saturn Return we often have a strong desire to begin this work, as we become more willing to let go of the past that might be holding us back from initiating into adulthood.

26 Jun 2023 | 7.9 The Journey Within: Louise O’Neill on Overcoming her ED and Embracing her Saturn Return | 00:56:20
Louise O’Neill, renowned author and journalist, joins Caggie on this episode to discuss the journey of her Saturn Return. At 27 she was back living with her parents after returning from her job in fashion journalism in New York, her relationship ended, a dwindling bank account and suffering a severe relapse of her eating disorder. It was a “rock bottom” experience in many ways but her career soon took off after writing her first book. Our Saturn Return can be a turbulent and transformative time and Louise speaks openly about how there were times she felt hopeless and lost, even when she was at one of her highest points of success professionally. Yet she holds the belief that often everything falls apart and comes together at the same time.
Louise reflects candidly on her twenty-year battle with an eating disorder which affected every aspect of her life. She shares her recent experience with her Saturn Maturation, a profound time of self-reflection, introspection and re-evaluation. Louise and Caggie discuss toxic relationship patterns, inner critics, energetic shielding, and deepening our intuition. The overwhelming theme of this conversation is that happiness is an inside job.
This episode contains discussions around eating disorders and addiction and therefore might not be suitable for every listener.

Author of ‘Billy No-Mates: How I Realised Men Have a Friendship Problem’ Max Dickins joins Caggie on the podcast today to explore the story behind the book.
Max shares his own experience of realising his own loneliness before he dove into research about the ‘male friendship problem’; the difference between a friendship between two men, compared to other genders; and how men can work on themselves in order to face the fear of being vulnerable.
They also discuss how women often take on a lot of the support and social life on behalf of the men in their life; and how men can start being more vulnerable and open with their male friends.

20 Nov 2023 | 8.10 Cultivating Compassion: Reclaiming Self Love with Alex Light | 00:59:37
This week I’m delighted to be joined by Alex Light, a body confidence advocate, journalist, chart-topping podcast host and founder of Light LDN.
Alex started her career in magazine journalism where she wrote about celebrities, fashion and beauty. Her Instagram was a space for her to share her love for these topics but whilst it appeared she was #livingherbestlife, Alex was actually battling an eating disorder. Now, she has successfully created a platform that encourages body positivity and champions women’s unfiltered bodies.
At 26, Alex began using her social platform to document her recovery and was astounded at the amount of people who resonated with her story. We discuss the relationship Alex has with her body and the steps she took to mend and cultivate what was one of the biggest tormentors in her life. Alex is on a mission to expose unrealistic beauty standards and diet culture to help others combat their own feelings of shame and self-loathing.
Alex deconstructs some of the messaging that has permeated into our collective psyche from being a young woman and how diet culture is a tool of the patriarchy. She shares the importance of recognising and detangling those beliefs whilst also encouraging us to commit to refraining from commenting on people's looks, regardless of the intention.
Saturn can bring change and awakening in mind, body and soul. Alex discusses how this contentment came with age, coinciding with her Saturn Return. Alex also shares how she transformed her internal critic into self-compassion in order to reach that space of contentment within herself. She takes us on her own path of healing whilst delving deep into the emotions that have come up for her during this time of self-reflection.

Author, journalist and TV presenter Candice Brathwaite joins Caggie in this episode to talk about motherhood, role models and manifestation.
Candice is a mother of two and a force to be reckoned with. She began blogging in 2016 after seeing a lack of representation for young Black mothers, and since then her career has taken off at a pace that she admits even she feels alarmed by at times. She has written for the likes of Grazia, Harper's Bazaar, Stylist and Huffington Post, presented on TV show Lorraine, and authored two books including I Am Not Your Baby Mother and Sista Sister. She talks passionately about many issues Black mothers face including the statistics about how Black and Asian women are much more likely to die in childbirth in the UK than white women.
Caggie and Candice discuss how she has managed to navigate a new, uncharted career path, her support system, and role models - the ones she saw in her childhood as well as the one she wants to be for her own children and for other Black women.

25 Mar 2024 | 9.6 Fertility, motherhood, and the power of the female form with Dr Helen O'Neill | 01:05:30
Dr Helen takes us on her mission to better understand the female form and women’s health. We discuss why there is such a huge misunderstanding when it comes to the female productive system and how she aims to make her knowledge accessible and translatable.
Understanding menstrual cycles: We journey through the rhythmic and cyclical expressions of our hormones and how they can cause many intense psychological, anatomical and physical changes within our body. Dr Helen helps us to understand each phase of the menstrual cycle and what it means for us and our mood.
The Male Hormonal System: We discover how profound the hormonal impact is on men by exploring their natural 24 hour cycle of hormones in comparison to a female lunar cycle. Dr Helen also draws parallels between other natural cycles and how, as humans, they all impact our capabilities to complete certain tasks.
Fear of the Female Form: We unpick fears surrounding female anatomy and form. Dr Helen explains how we have mirrored feelings passed on through our parents and the impact this has on society's understanding of it.
Infertility: It’s a conversation that I feel so many people are having. I ask Dr Helen about the increasing rate of infertility and why those statistics have changed over the years. We look beyond the statistics by looking into our own health and genetics to get a more honest analysis of our reproductive health. We also dispel some myths surrounding fertility such as drinking, contraception and age. We also touch on freezing eggs and why she isn’t afraid to say she got pregnant by accident.
The Choice: Often women can feel the need to make a choice between success and motherhood. We discuss the powerful and profound skillset that females naturally have and why we choose to ignore our maternal instincts. Dr Helen also gives a personal account of what motherhood means to her and how it transformed her perspective

11 Oct 2024 | *The Courage To Create* Origins Story - Caggie's Journey with Music | 00:20:24
In this episode, Caggie opens up about her deep and complex relationship with music, tracing it back to her early years and sharing the emotional journey she's experienced along the way.
Key Themes:
Caggie's Relationship with Music from a Young Age: From her earliest memories, music has played a pivotal role in Caggie’s life. However, as she grew older, her connection to music became both a source of joy and vulnerability.
Vulnerability in Sharing Music: Caggie discusses how sharing her music has always made her feel exposed, as it’s a form of self-expression that brings up intense vulnerability.
Fears Around Singing: Despite her love for music, Caggie reflects on the fears she’s carried around singing, particularly in front of others. These fears have often held her back from fully stepping into her creative potential.
Love-Hate Relationship with Music: While music has been a lifelong passion, Caggie dives into the complexities of her love-hate relationship with it. There have been moments where the pressure to perform and succeed overshadowed her natural love for the art.
Pressure, Fears, and Failures: The pressures that come with creativity often bring fears of failure. Caggie shares how these feelings have surfaced throughout her career, particularly during her time on Made in Chelsea (MIC).
Creativity – Why All or Nothing? Caggie explores the idea of why creativity sometimes feels like an all-or-nothing pursuit. She questions when creativity shifted from being a joyful expression to something to be criticised or scrutinised.
Creative Blockers: A significant part of Caggie’s journey has been dealing with creative blockers. She reflects on the fear of how her music will be received and the external judgment that has haunted her, especially the notion that she’ll never be taken seriously because of her background in reality TV.
Where Does the Fear Come From? Caggie contemplates the root of her fear. Is it simply fear of the unknown? Is it tied to ego and self-belief? These are the big questions she grapples with as an artist.
Ego and Self-Belief: How does ego get in the way of true creativity? Caggie shares her thoughts on how ego can sometimes overshadow creative expression and how developing a strong sense of self-belief is key to overcoming this.
Creativity as an Offering: A powerful idea Caggie shares is that creativity is not something we control, but rather an offering. It chooses the artist to come through, and it’s up to us to honour that process.
Discovering Herself in Her 20s: Throughout her 20s, Caggie navigated the journey of discovering who she is, both as a person and an artist. This period of her life was marked by experimentation with different styles of music and self-expression.

12 Oct 2020 | 2.2 The Goddess: Anoushka Florence and the Call Of the Feminine | 00:40:38
In a culture and society that has conditioned us to fill up every moment, the concept of creating space both physically and emotionally to allow ourselves to feel can seem uncomfortable and exposing. Some say this is because we are operating largely from our masculine and neglecting our feminine energy. In this episode Anouska Florence of The Goddess Space talks to Caggie about our need for the balance of both. We are living in a time of the rising feminine, which invites us to access our internal world through sacred space and confront our shadow side along the way, and reclaim our 'magik.'

29 May 2023 | 7.5 The Sweetness of Solitude with Francesca Specter | 01:00:57
In this week’s episode of Saturn Returns Caggie is joined by renowned podcast host and author of the book “Alonement: How to be Alone and Absolutely Own in”, Francesca Specter. After her breakup several years ago, Francesca coined the term ‘Alonement’ and lives in alignment with finding joy in solitude. Francesca shares insight into the value of self love, making decisions for yourself and thriving in your own company. It is no secret that people often desire love and the comforts partnership can bring us and whilst these are things to be celebrated, there is also great value in creating the space to rediscover parts of ourselves that we may have abandoned in order to mould ourselves in relationships. They also discuss the loneliness that can stem from the pressure to conform to the life choices that our friends and family have made, for instance marriage and children. This sparked the discussion on the value of diversifying our circle and questioning if we are living in true alignment with our own desires. Caggie and Francesca also delve into the societal stereotypes that contrast the celebrated image of a “bachelor” with the pitiful perception of a “spinster”, and how these stereotypes can be negated by the transformative power of finding joy in solitude.

Dr. Sarah Rutherford is a consultant, writer, and speaker with an academic background in organisational culture. She is the author of the book Women’s Work Men’s Cultures: Overcoming Resistance and Changing Organizational Cultures (Palgrave Macmillan).
She also happens to be Caggie’s mum!
In this conversation, Sarah explains a brief history of feminism and how progress in equality isn’t always linear; we only have to look at what is happening in the world today to see how quickly women’s rights can be taken away and why they have to continue to be fought for. She shares her insights on culture in the workplace, how women’s experiences often differ vastly to men’s, and the reasons why.
They also discuss the stigma around women helping women, which Caggie refers to as the “female wound” and this feeling we often have that there isn’t room for all of us to succeed.
This is also an interesting insight into Caggie’s personal life, as it’s her first time having a family member on the show!

In this thought-provoking episode, we have the privilege of hearing from Gina Martin, a passionate author and activist who made headlines with her successful mission to criminalise upskirting. However, this conversation goes far beyond one achievement, delving into the core issues that drive Gina's advocacy for gender equality.
Gina shares the inspiring story of her relentless campaign to criminalise upskirting, shedding light on the pervasive issue of disrespectful behaviour that had long gone unaddressed. The conversation delves deep into the origins of patriarchy and how it was historically constructed to control women, perpetuating gender inequalities that persist today.

03 Jul 2023 | 7.10 The Courage to Create with Aime McNee | 01:03:03
If you resonate with the struggles of procrastination, perfectionism, imposter syndrome or burnout then this conversation will be extremely beneficial. Caggie is joined by Aime McNee, a creative coach and fiction author. In this episode they explore the beauty and vulnerability of ‘the creative’; the loneliness of committing to creativity, the shame and comparison creatives often face when straying away from the conventional 9-5 career and the liberation of choosing ourselves and our own path. Aime and Caggie discuss the many ways we often grapple with the dialogue of our inner critic and unpack the topic of ego, how individuals will often unknowingly cultivate a fear of success which is just as persuasive as our fear of failure.
Even if you are not creative in your career, many of us have that inner critic which makes us doubt ourselves and stops us from going after our aspirations and goals. Aime shares her own experience with this and the tools she utilises to unlock the power to silence that voice in our head that says we are not worthy.
