In this new episode of Radio Amenti, my friend Gary D. McCrear (aka: Gangsta Gurry) and I discuss future potentials and present quandaries as we navigate this weird f*cking time with grace and honesty. Discussing sobriety, spirituality, boundaries, learning, unlearning and all of the spaces in-between, this episode felt like we simultaneously took a deep dive into reality, while sipping tea and bonding over all the bullsh*t we've traversed throughout our process of growing into who we've always been (but somehow forgot along the way). About Gary! Gary D. McCrear or 'Gangsta Gurry' (he/him/his) is a queer Black educator, writer, and healer based out of Brooklyn, NY. He uses a variety of healing tools (tarot, reiki, candle magic) for self-actualization and reflection in his day-to-day life and in the lives of others to help further educate his communities. As per usual, whenever Michael and I have the opportunity to riff, we touch upon an array of topics, which tickle the imagination and "wiggle the wonder whiskers." For this chat, we dive into strange terrain, including the UFO/UAP phenomena, disclosure (is it going to happen, and if so, what does it all mean?), why aren't there more movies featuring grey aliens + my The Greada Treaty theory, my terrifying encounter with a mysterious Black Triangle on the beach in the summer of 2014, the power of creativity as metaphorical manna, and much, much more. Michael and I will be hanging IRL in Austin, TX for an event with our podcast network, Timewheel, and our other buddy, Mike Brancatelli (host of Mikeadelic) at the Church of the Sacred Womb on July 10th. Join us for an evening of ecstatic dance (not really my thing, but will be super fun for those who like that stuff), Mind Melds, new friends and much more.

In this new episode of Radio Amenti, Jennifer Sodini and Yoshino (host of Artist Decoded and co-creator of The Artist Decoded Tarot) co-host a thought-provoking conversation with Erik Davis, the author of books such as TechGnosis: Myth, Magic, and Mysticism in the Age of Information (2015) and Blotter: The Untold Story of an Acid Medium (2024). In this swapcast, which originally aired on Artist Decoded Podcast, Jennifer opens the episode by reflecting on the transition into fall—a time of potential transformation and introspection. She sets the stage for this mind-bending discussion with Erik, whose work traverses the realms of psychedelics, spirituality, and digital culture. Together, Jennifer and Yoshino delve into Erik's eclectic body of creativity, the evolution of his voice as a writer, and the challenge of narrowing focus in a world overflowing with information and possibilities. The conversation explores how technology shapes culture and consciousness, questioning how human beings might navigate the increasingly hyper-connected world of un-reality. With open hearts and sharp minds, the trio reflects on the importance of community, friendship, and intuition as tools for grounding ourselves amid the chaos of modern life. Erik offers profound insights into the hidden realms of information, sharing his perspective on navigating the complexities of the 21st century. 06 Oct 2024 | Mind Theatre Episode 001: Remote Viewing Meditation | 00:13:23
Welcome to Mind Theatre—an auditory journey designed to guide you through creative visualization harmonized with arcane and occult meditation practices. These sessions blend ancient wisdom with modern hypnotic techniques, allowing you to explore new worlds of insight that will reveal hidden dimensions of your psyche and expand your latent extrasensory powers. Mind Theatre is a sonic lodge of esoteric knowledge concealed within the framework of sound and vision. Trust the fate of what brought you here to this very moment. The curtain begins to rise, the stage is set, and now, you’re being ushered beyond the ordinary…the show is about to begin. -- NEW MEDITATIONS ON SUNDAYS -- Please note, these meditations are meant to be experienced in a relaxed environment. For your safety, do not listen while driving or operating heavy machinery. They are designed to guide you into deeper states of consciousness and are best practiced when you can fully relax and focus. MIND THEATRE EPISODE 001: REMOTE VIEWING MEDITATION If you're a fan of Stranger Things - you're likely familiar with the scenes of Eleven blindfolded, listening to white-noise, or in make-shift sensory deprivation baths to access psychic insight using her mind's eye. PS: NO NOSEBLEEDS HERE This technique is called Remote Viewing (or RV) and has been around since the 1970s. You may want to familiarize yourself with this particular type of mind practice if you're interested in flexing your intuitive muscles. A quick internet search will show you some interesting declassified CIA documents (e.g., PROJECT STARGATE ), which are quite a rabbit hole. Still, beyond any conspiracy theories or CABAL-istic thoughts, this practice is actually something I have been doing since I was a Freshman in high school, and it is a great way to burst open your intuitive center and collect insight/information. Like lucid dreaming, while you're completely awake. Bending space and traveling time with the mind. This guided meditation has been designed to teach you a particular technique that will enable you to "remote view" and activate your center of intuition while also receiving insight, vision, and clarity for your path ahead. The layers of sound are static/white noise, Alpha 10HZ binaural beats and rolling OMs. Please listen to this journey in a safe, quiet space, where you will be absolutely UNDISTURBED for the entirety of the practice. For the BEST experience possible, use headphones and make sure to have a journal and pen handy for post-meditation to record any reflections or visions you may have received. PSA: MIND THEATRE'S GUIDED MEDITATIONS ARE FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY. DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS WHILE DRIVING, MOVING, OPERATING MACHINERY, OR DOING ANYTHING OTHER THAN SITTING/LAYING DOWN IN A SAFE PLACE.
17 Dec 2020 | Episode 23: Richie Brown | Playing with Failure | 01:08:21
In this new episode of Radio Amenti, my dear friend, Richie Brown, and I have a conversation about the processes of creativity, love, friendship, and the imagination. We discuss the journey of our friendship, and some of the spiritual bullsh*t I subjected him to in the early days of our connection, as well as his reluctant, but important, role as a renegade life coach (of sorts) that helps you to uncover and unpack the power that exists within you, even when you're covered in cereal or hot pink face paint. We also discuss The Brown Magick Oracle, which was inspired by my grandmother's oracle card deck, Stank Rag (wholesome erotic nihilism), and toilets on UFOs. About Richie Brown (in his own words): I make animations, illustrations, photo/video content, and various other art-related items typically involving some kind of fur or slime.
Some of what we discussed on the show:

20 Nov 2021 | Episode 29: Marcella Kroll | Quantum Origins and the Great Cosmic Puzzle | 01:08:23
After a long hiatus of recording, we are finally back! I am more than thrilled to share this new Radio Amenti episode featuring my friend, Marcella Kroll. Marcella and I connected through social media around the time Amenti Oracle came out, and we each gifted each other copies of our respective decks. Marcella’s Sacred Symbols Oracle went on to become one of my favorite metaphysical tools, and I always felt such a kindred connection to her work. When we finally met IRL in LA (2 years ago, I think? But, what is time anyway), I had that same feeling of kindred connection, like reuniting with a friend from the past. Marcella is a gifted psychic, artist, medium, oracle, and channel. A polymath of the metaphysical, I have so much respect for all that she does and creates, and this conversation was such a joy. About Marcella:
In this episode we have a multi-dimensional, fractal conversation (my favorite types of chats to have) about Marcella’s life story, psychic phenomena, ETs, past lives, channeling the ineffable into art and more. This hour flew by SO FAST, and I am certain this will be the first of many Radio Amenti conversations to come. Check out our episode below! 19 Sep 2024 | Episode 32: SpectreVision Live | HIGH HIGH STRANGENESS | 01:10:09
This episode of Radio Amenti features the live recording from SpectreVision's HIGH HIGH STRANGENESS event, which was recorded live at The Philosophical Research Society on Tuesday, September 3rd 2024. In the years that have passed since the pioneering work of psychedelic explorers Aldous Huxley, Eileen Garrett and Terence McKenna, the connection between psychotropic substances and paranormal experience has increasingly become a verboten subject. Yet, as many modern psi-travelers can attest, mind altering substances often blur the lines between realities, tapping into and enhancing encounters with the Unknown. In the latest installment of SpectreVision Radio’s monthly live podcast series, a panel of experiencers and psychonauts will bring this beguiling topic into the light. The panel discusses the nexus point between psychedelics and the paranormal, and was moderated by Daniel Noah, Co-Founder of SpectreVision, who took the place of Elijah Wood - who was unable to attend. The panelists include Jim Perry (Host and Creator of Euphomet, Director of SpectreVision Radio), Henry Zebrowski (Last Podcast on The Left), Michael Mazzola (Filmmaker, Close Encounters of the 5th Kind), and (of course) Jennifer Sodini (Esoteric Author, Radio Amenti). Special thanks to the SpectreVision crew for sharing the audio and offering up a swapcast. To learn more about their work please visit: https://www.spectrevision.com/ Enjoyed the episode? Well, here it is! After months of saying I'd do a solocast update episode, I have finally gotten around to it! 19 May 2021 | Episode 25: The XXX Files + Occult Super Friends with Devin Person and Jim Perry | 01:14:38
Hi, friends! I am so psyched to share this episode with my dear friends, Devin Person and Jim Perry - that we've affectionately called "The XXX Files". In this "triad" of greatness we have a casual, and hysterical, conversation about invisible realms, high strangeness, and the spaces in between those sights unseen. I love Devin's write up about the episode too, so I'm just going to copy and paste this here for your enjoyment: In the New Age corner, we've got Jennifer Sodini (previously on How to Evolve and Ascend), an amazing human who can talk angels and ayahuasca ceremonies while keeping a steady third-eye on conspirituality and spiritual bypassing. In the Paranormal corner, hailing from parts unknown, we've got everyone's favorite cryptid conversationalist, Jim Perry of Euphomet (previously on How to Explore the Unknown). And then representing the Occult in all its utmost seriousness, you have your favorite somber wizard... me. This chat was super fun and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it. I've got a strong hunch Jim and Jen and I will be doing these more often, especially once we nail down a name and some cool team-up cover art. To learn more about Devin and Jim's work, please check out their podcasts and Patreons! Enjoy what you've heard? Please give Radio Amenti a review on iTunes and share the love! 27 Apr 2021 | Episode 24: Richie Brown | Good Grief | 01:09:04
After months of hiatus, I am back with a new (but, old) episode featuring my pal, Richie Brown. In this episode, we pick up where we left off after episode 28 (Playing With Failure) and discuss how the "awakening" process, has a similar trajectory to the Stages of Grief. Laughing our way through the absurdity that exists in the anti-hero's journey into understanding the complexities, mysteries and nebulousness of "truth", life and all of the gradients in between - this conversation is authentic, candid, and a lot of fun. I'll be back with new episodes, including a WAY OVERDUE solo-cast episode to get you up to speed on all that's gone down in the last few months, including falling in love, moving from LA to Mexico, and learning A LOT in the process. 20 Oct 2019 | Episode 3: Damien Echols | High Magick and The Alchemy of Change | 01:01:35
DAMIEN ECHOLS is the author of the New York Times bestseller Life After Death (Plume, 2013), and co-author of Yours for Eternity (Plume, 2013) with his wife, Lorri Davis. His new book is HIGH MAGICK: A Guide to the Spiritual Practices That Saved My Life on Death Row (Sounds True, October 30, 2018). He and Lorri live in Harlem. For more, visit damienechols.com. Damien Echols was one of the West Memphis Three, three teenagers (at the time) who were aged between 16 and 18 and wrongfully accused of murder in what felt like a witch-hunt of a trial. This harrowing story was explored in the documentary Paradise Lost as well as West of Memphis (produced by Peter Jackson and Fran Wals), and in the feature film starring Reese Witherspoon and Colin Firth Devils Knot. Echols, along with Jessie Miskelley Jr., and Jason Baldwin were convicted as teenagers in 1994 for the 1993 murders of three boys in West Memphis, Arkansas. Echols was sentenced to death, Misskelley, Jr. to life imprisonment plus two 20-year sentences, and Jason Baldwin to life imprisonment. During the trial, the prosecution asserted that the juveniles killed the children as part of a Satanic ritual. It's a harrowing case, and the story is stranger than fiction, but with an alchemical lens, and the mindset of the magician, Echols persevered through the adversity, citing his Magickal practice as one of the key elements for surviving such a horrendous experience, and living to tell the tale through his books, work, teachings and embodied wisdom. This conversation is filled with wisdom, as we explore what magick is and isn't, the interconnected nature of all things, and how even through adversity and the dark night of the soul on the hero's journey, the light will always prevail. Damien is a kind, gracious being, and I couldn't be more thrilled to share our dialogue with you all... --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/radio-amenti/support

10 Nov 2019 | Episode 6: WITMA Panel | The Imagination | 01:12:01
This episode of Radio Amenti features a panel discussion from WITMA (Well-being in the Modern Age), where Jennifer Sodini hosted a conversation on The Imagination on October 19th, 2019 at Contra Studios in NYC. The audio from the panel was captured by Matt Xian of Timewheel Records and begins with a recap about the intention of the panel, closure on what WITMA was, and intentions for the future of 2020. Featured voices, hearts, and minds (from the left in the featured image)... + Taraka Larson: Not much can faze Taraka Larson – born on Beethoven and Philip K Dick's birthday, she grew up in ashrams; lived on black metal communes; worked for utopian architects; written manifestos; delivered lectures from pools of fake blood; conducted group exorcisms disguised as VHS workouts; designed a whole line of byzantine extreme sportswear; and toured the world extensively with her band, Prince Rama. The band has become much of a cult enigma over the years, riding the fine line between rock n roll and performance art and are perhaps the only band who have been able to simultaneously incite mosh pits and stage dive while paradoxically reaching #3 on the Billboard New Age charts. + Mitch Horowitz: A widely known voice of esoteric ideas, Mitch Horowitz is a writer-in-residence at the New York Public Library, lecturer-in-residence at the Philosophical Research Society in Los Angeles, and the PEN Award-winning author of books including Occult America; One Simple Idea: How Positive Thinking Reshaped Modern Life; and The Miracle Club: How Thoughts Become Reality. Mitch has written on everything from the war on witches to the secret life of Ronald Reagan for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Salon, Time.com, and Politico. + Nick Onken: Nick Onken is a world renowned photographer, host of NIONradio podcast, and creative entrepreneur devoted to inspiring the world to create their moments. Nick has photographed personalities such as Justin Bieber, Tom Hanks, and Jessica Alba. He’s been featured in Fast Company, Huffington Post, and MTV. Nick has traveled to over 60 countries and 7 continents and is the author of the travel photography book, PhotoTrekking. He has photographed global campaigns for international brands such as Nike, Coca Cola and Adidas and his work has been published in magazines such as Conde Nast Traveler, Cosmopolitan, and Marie Claire. + Melinda Lee Holm: Melinda Lee Holm is a Tarot Priestess specializing in translating Divine wisdom into actionable guidance. Building on over 25 years of study and practice, she uses her fluency in the language of Tarot coupled with her knowledge of crystals, plants, candle magick and metaphysical principles to identify and open areas of greatest potential for herself and her clients. 10 Dec 2019 | Episode 10: Sarah Zucker | Dream Fasting + Time Loops | 01:30:01
On average, it is believed we spend an estimated 26-years of our life sleeping. And, while not everyone remembers their dreams, surely within that sleep-span, there are many unknown (and known) astral adventures permeating the deep, inner layers of our subconscious mind. Sarah Zucker and I have a rare, and precious connection in both waking and astral life. As you’ll come to find out in this conversation, she and I have had some rather curious, and synchronous “dream fasting” experiences together, which are riddled with riddles, and fascinating “bread crumbs.” So, a little about Sarah… Sarah Zucker is a writer and multidisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles. Her work merges the gorgeous and grotesque through humor, psychedelia, mysticism, and the interplay of cutting edge + obsolete technologies. She works across mediums, specializing in mixing digital and analog video techniques and the use of VHS. Her GIF art has been viewed over 4 billion times. She incorporates elements of performance, drawing, painting and collage into her interdimensional rainbow visions. She runs the curatorial project and Art Apparel line Fancy Nothing. 16 May 2020 | Episode 12: Jennifer Sodini | Dancing About Architecture | 00:43:28
A few days ago in an Instagram poll, I asked my audience if they preferred I do a solo-cast episode on "Love/Sex" or "Laughter" - and the vast majority voted for "Love/Sex", so here goes! In this solo-cast episode, I talk about love, sex, romance, love as a space of consciousness, all sorts of things. I get pretty vulnerable, and it was oddly cathartic, while also somewhat nervewracking. In any event, it feels like this was a potent transmission to share with everyone - whether you're single, in love, married, or in an undefined territory, I hope this makes you feel less alone in any struggles you may be having when it comes to matters of the heart. 22 May 2020 | Episode 14: Yoshino | Flow States and The Tao of Now | 01:30:35
In this episode of Radio Amenti, Yoshino and I share a conversation on the origins of our friendship, synchronicity, the Tao, Flow Consciousness, Ayahuasca, Bufo + Kambo (what's the difference?), MK Ultra celebrity glitches (Shaq and Al Roker WTF), life, love, relationships, laughter and genuine connection. We originally recorded this back in October 2019 at his studio in Los Angeles, Noh Wave, back when I first launched Radio Amenti, but the release of this conversation comes at a perfect (and somewhat divine) time. It begins with laughter, it ends with laughter, such is the case with many conversations I have had with this wonderful human being! About Yoshino: Yoshino is a visual artist and podcast host based in Los Angeles, California. Having worked for years as a professional fashion photographer, his interests eventually shifted towards experimental fine art photography and mixed media collaborations. 16 Jul 2020 | Episode 15: Lauren McAlpin | Stacking Your Spiritual Toolkit | 00:57:37
In this new episode of Radio Amenti, I had the pleasure of chatting with my friend Lauren McAlpin. In esoteric practice, there's a concept called "recapitulation", which is a "remembering" or a familiarity about a person/place/object, and when I connected with Lauren - I absolutely felt that feeling. We met through synchronicity on social media, and Lauren is truly a beacon of honesty, intelligence, and magic, and I feel so grateful they have come into my life. About Lauren: Lauren McAlpin (they/them) is a writer, intuitive tarot reader, and reiki practitioner, currently working on a Masters in Psychology at Harvard Extension School. They hold a B.A. in English from Spelman College and M.A. in Luxury Brand Management from Savannah College of Art & Design. After battling kidney infections that developed into sepsis in the summer of 2018, Lauren made a decision to make a career shift from working in marketing in beauty/fashion for the last 9 years to follow their calling: spiritual and criminal justice. This summer, Lauren launched instagram.com/fogandreign to educate people about spiritual practices and tools and empower people to be their own healers. 07 Aug 2020 | Episode 16: Giya Venus | The Miss Honey of Hogwarts | 00:59:00
In this new episode of Radio Amenti, I am joined by the magical, and luminous, Giya (like Gaia) Venus. We discuss The Akashic Records, Remote Viewing, spiritual awakening, divination, destiny and more. Giya and I connected on Instagram about a year ago, after I saw a post she made using the Amenti Oracle deck. Our friendship has naturally evolved, and our connection is incredibly special. Gentle, wise, brilliant, bold, DIALED IN, graceful and gorgeous, Giya has a way of articulating the liminal space that is really unique. I love her energy, and the beauty she shares through her platform. I am thrilled to introduce you to her work in this interview, and foresee her star rising in the coming months (you heard it here first)! I've titled this episode "The Miss Honey of Hogwarts", because (as you'll find out in this conversation), that's exactly the energy Giya transmits. Sweet like Miss Honey from Matilda, but POWERFUL like a teacher right out of the Hogwarts x Harry Potter Universe! About Giya: When she decided to start sharing her specific brand of healing, Giya Venus quickly found that she was overwhelmed at the sheer amount of titles people were being given to describe their brand. Was she a healer, a shaman, a coach, a witch? Or was she somehow all of those things? Was she magic or just a human trying to make sense of it all? Giya Venus is a shaman well versed in channeling, many forms of divination, energy healing as a light goddess, reiki practitioner and Akashic Records Reader. Her goal is to share tools that everyone can use at any stage of their journey to awaken to their fullest potential, elevate the collective consciousness, and integrate their own brand of magic into the dream of this world. 11 Aug 2020 | Episode 17: Mike Costaney | Best Tarot + The Third Thing | 01:00:51
Fresh out of the Lion's Gate Portal! This new episode of Radio Amenti features my friend, Mike Costaney, musician, producer, and creator of the new Best Tarot deck. In this conversation we discuss the art of tarot (literally), celebrating failure and embracing imperfection, creativity, music, dreams, "the third thing", and much more! A little about Mike: Mike produces art and music and resides in the weird town of Toms River, NJ. He is an enthusiast of Magick, Qabalah, and Psychotherapy; he works to find realistic connections with these concepts in art and collaborative projects like in his latest endeavor, "Best Tarot". Here's a bit about best tarot: Best Tarot is the product of over 40 professional artists, amateur doodlers, and people who haven’t attempted to draw since grade school art class. These folks were given 60 seconds to look at a classic Tarot card, an unwieldy black marker, and a sheet of paper. Then, they had to draw the card they had been looking at using only their memory as a reference, some artists executing most of the 60 second reference onto paper and some failing beautifully. 18 Aug 2020 | Episode 18: Pea The Feary | Human Design + Trip Sitting The Matrix | 00:59:32
In this new episode of Radio Amenti, I am joined by my friend, Pea the Feary! Pea was actually one of the first guests I had booked back when I launched Radio Amenti last fall, but I had some technical difficulties and my audio track from our recording got all botched. I was super embarrassed about the glitch, but Pea graciously allowed me to do a TAKE TWO, and as fate would have it, the timing was absolutely perfect. This conversation is filled with a lot of laughs, insight, and creative flow. We discuss Pea’s journey into exploring imaginal realms, her art/creativity, Human Design, the sacred art of transmutation, the game of life and how it feels like we are currently “trip sitting The Matrix.” We also discuss crazy wisdom and the “interesting” d*ck art of Bhutan (see: Phallus paintings in Bhutan). About Pea the Feary: “I am Pea the Feary (Faerie) I consider myself an Afrofuturist and Seer. My work is about possibility, potential and realization. I am a strong believer in universal consciousness and I aim to spread the idea that everything is connected. The possibilities of what the universe can provide are endless and all within reach because we are already connected to everything. I want as many people as possible to understand that they are a part of every bit of this world. That gives us the power and the right to make things happen. I believe that a voice without judgement when used, can be the voice that will lead society towards expansion. The same particles that make up the stars in the sky and water in the ocean are in all of us. All that matters is how those particles are arranged. I truly believe that this concept can be understood by my community in such a way that when we implement it we make gigantic leaps.” Learn more: Pea the Feary’s Official Site: peathefeary.com SHOP Pea the Feary: peathefeary.com/shop Pea the Feary on Instagram: instagram.com/peathefeary --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/radio-amenti/support |
