I was so impressed and inspired by Gemi as a human and my heart was so inspired by her powerful and thrilling story of her daughter’s adoption in Haiti during a coup that required a helicopter evacuation. Really, you have to go back and listen to this episode. I knew she was someone I would want to have  back on the podcast and today I’m honored to have Gemi and her daughter Ili. Ili joined us from Barcelona where she lives and at moments in this episode you’ll hear Gemi translating. It can be nerve wracking enough to be on a podcast, let alone on a podcast that is not in your mouth tongue, so extra cheers to Ili for being a yes to all of that. After meeting her briefly at a wine tasting event, I instantly knew I had to have her on the podcast and this episode is simply delightful.
