It used to be better, of course, it did. In the golden age of the High Republic, when there was enough to eat and enough hope, when people could lift their eyes and see beyond the horizon, beyond the day. Children were born happy and grew up rich.

Now that’s not what we’ve got. Now we’ve got Jakku.

A harsh desert world, Jakku is a lawless place that’s home to thieves, outlaws, and refugees. During the final years of the Galactic Civil War, Jakku was the site of a secret Imperial research base and served as a jumping-off point for warships heading into the Unknown Regions. The Empire made a last stand above the frontier planet, leading to a pitched battle between rebel and Imperial fleets. Jakku’s sandy wastes are now littered with gigantic wrecks, and newly created townships are full of desperate scavengers who head into the desert searching for parts that can be salvaged and sold.

And you, who are you? This is what we’ve got, yes. What are you going to make of it?

We learn more about our protagonists and take on a mission in this first play session of a new playset for Girl by Moonlight. We see their dormitory and peek in on a class where an experiment has gone wrong. They're informed by the headmaster that their Order, Akhtar, is responsible for arranging an upcoming dance. But even while doing that and homework, they look into the strangeness with Malbrect, leading them to confront a student who has dredged up forbidden motion magics.

Our protagonists have been drafted into a school of magic which is trying to change, manipulate, and even destroy them. When they came of age, they found themselves whisked away to The School. They were thrown into a world of arcane knowledge, strange alliances, unresponsive staff, and dangerous facilities. Soon our protagonists noticed they could see things others could not: people with memories changed, deadly challenges others didn’t acknowledge, and vanishings which went unremarked and unremembered.

Now, as our protagonists enter into their second year, they’ve come to realize the school itself is a trap and a machine for some unknown purpose. They have determined to rescue those students targeted by the school and uncover the secrets of this place. But they must do this while keeping up their studies and avoiding the attention of the staff, teachers, and other entities.

However they decide to delve into the underground beneath Bad Valley, leading to the discovery of a third murder victim who is apparently the first victim again. The David Web is a storytelling game for an unknown number of pursuers inspired by the structure and cinematography of the Jason Bourne movies.

In The David Web, the players are all anonymous pursuers who follow David around as he tries to discover his identity. Sometimes a player will turn out to be an asset of a hostile and resourceful agency, sometimes a player will just be a camera observing David without obstructing him. David doesn't remember why powerful people want him dead, but he knows that they do and he has the skills to maneuver through the web he finds himself in.

Together you and your friends will create the narrative of a chase movie by taking turns to describe what David is doing, how he uncovers details about his own past, and why he is being pursued. None of these details are created in advance, so you and your friends will make them up as you go, following along from the scenes and descriptions you each add to the overall story.

Eventually both David and the players will discover who he is. Crash zoom into The David Web and get chasing!

Fellowship is a game for 3-6 players about going on an adventure, in the same vein as Lord of the Rings or Wakfu or Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders. The system is loosely based on the Apocalypse Engine. In Rebellion is an expansion book for Fellowship.

The Empire is an alternative to the Overlord playbook. Rather than stop an evil overlord from destroying the world as we know it, the Empire has already conquered the world(s). They succeeded. The fellowship must work as a rebel alliance to overthrow the iron grip of the fascist Empire and destroy it from the inside out. They have sources of power that empower the entire Empire as long as they stay standing, and Leaders who inspire their soldiers and make them stronger. Both their power sources and leaders must be destroyed or defeated to make the Empire collapse.

Fellowship is a game for 3-6 players about going on an adventure, in the same vein as Lord of the Rings or Wakfu or Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders. The system is loosely based on the Apocalypse Engine. In Rebellion is an expansion book for Fellowship.

The Empire is an alternative to the Overlord playbook. Rather than stop an evil overlord from destroying the world as we know it, the Empire has already conquered the world(s). They succeeded. The fellowship must work as a rebel alliance to overthrow the iron grip of the fascist Empire and destroy it from the inside out. They have sources of power that empower the entire Empire as long as they stay standing, and Leaders who inspire their soldiers and make them stronger. Both their power sources and leaders must be destroyed or defeated to make the Empire collapse.

The morning of the shoot at Mathers Hall opens with a missing guest that few comment on. Paired up with fellow guests, the magicians learn more about their personalities and agendas. Richard skips the hunt, instead learning more about the origin of the mysterious Pascale Dumont. The investigation continues, with the good Doctor turning the tables on their host by admitting in private to the murder of Lord Bradbury. But then Lord Portmore's associate vanishes and there's an attempt on Verity Dyce's life which goes awry.

Along a cold and isolated riverside, deep in the primeval forest, a small team of adventurers makes an emergency landing at a rotting and waterlogged village to repair their leaking boat. Little do they know that, deep within a nearby temple-tomb, a wretched, forgotten god-thing from centuries long past seeks to make its return amidst rituals of plague and suffering. Will our trapped adventurers defeat the god-thing once and for all, or will they too be stolen away to perform the Rites of Weeping?

The Ironsworn begin their investigation into the mysterious deaths on the Orbaris-5 deepspace station that exists to service the sector's demand for entertainment of all kinds under the eye of a criminal syndicate, the Jackals of the Infernal Pact. Cinderwing does some sleuthing while Raven watches their back, and Relic comes to the same conclusion ... there's only one part of the highly automated station that people never go ... the 'bot operated Reclamation Core ... and the only inhabited deck that abuts that blank space on the station layout is a casino and fighting pit operated by the Jackals. There's a bulky pit boss called 'Jaws', a surreptitious entry to the innards of the machine, and a surprising stream of nutrient packs. Then ... 'when 'bots attack ...' and 'Oh, no! The nutrient chamber is toppling ...', and a Spirit Hunter messes with some emotions. In the background, the Scourgesworn close in on Relic ...

Then, all the friends are gone, and the only one remaining is called by a feeble voice from the woods, asking them to face their fears.

You are the Protagonist: the forest has chosen you, calling your name. You must go into the darkness, only equipped with a few items, and face your fears. What awaits you is a rite of passage, a journey from which you will return changed.

You and your friends will play as a group of school friends in a near-future sci-fi world. All of you have just graduated, and you're each getting ready to move on to the next stage of your life. The tensions of the 2nd Cold War pull you all in different directions: leaving the country for a prestigious university, being chosen by the military for a special program, getting a research job off world, etc. In all of these cases you are likely never going to see each other again, and many of you may die. Knowing this, you carry out your tense final Summer together, reliving memories, having your last good days, and one by one saying goodbye. Captain's Log - Supplemental: The Montgomery is at warp 7 in pursuit of the Pakled ship and the Federation's dilithium. I have ordered our Guest Quarters to be put back into service to accomodate Princess T'Ren and her husband, while two of my senior officers are sharing to free up quarters for Manager Et-Rah. The rescued miners are housed in cramped temporary berths in Cargo Bay 2; the wounded Pakled is in surgery; and the other two prisoners are in the brig awaiting interrogation.
Then, there's a visit to Farius High Station, a 3-way arbitration with Orion hosts, and a covert visit to the Pakled ship ... before Comms are cut off, and transporter priorities have to be established ...

It used to be better, of course, it did. In the golden age of the High Republic, when there was enough to eat and enough hope, when people could lift their eyes and see beyond the horizon, beyond the day. Children were born happy and grew up rich.

Now that’s not what we’ve got. Now we’ve got Jakku.

A harsh desert world, Jakku is a lawless place that’s home to thieves, outlaws, and refugees. During the final years of the Galactic Civil War, Jakku was the site of a secret Imperial research base and served as a jumping-off point for warships heading into the Unknown Regions. The Empire made a last stand above the frontier planet, leading to a pitched battle between rebel and Imperial fleets. Jakku’s sandy wastes are now littered with gigantic wrecks, and newly created townships are full of desperate scavengers who head into the desert searching for parts that can be salvaged and sold.

The crew of the USCSS Alfalfa (a military surplus UPP cargo hauler sold into commercial United American use) and their passenger are heading to a Weyland-Yutani 'shake'n'bake' colony in the outer rim territories. Aboard are Pete Kennedy (the Company Rep looking for ways to build even better worlds), and newbie Pilot Linh Kahali is looking forward to the excitement the frontier is said to offer. There's also Scientist Karl Jorgensen, facing a health condition he can't afford to treat, who has taken an unskilled job to gain financial security for his family when he's gone. Finally, AWOL Colonial Marine Gart Weathers has been blackmailed by the Alfa's Captain to meet her need for an Engineer.
When they wake from hypersleep the Alfa is NOT where it is supposed to be and a proximity collision alarm reveals a huge potential salvage opportunity literally rolling towards the Alfa. They discover that MU-TH-UR has become 1VAN and that they have been classified as 'brothers and sisters of the proletariat'. There's nifty flying, a need for EVA, and a UPP airlock that works! Then ... 1VAN powers up a reactor; life-support begins to kick in; and there are bodies ... lots and lots of bodies ...

'Mother' has followed protocol and diverted them in response to a distress signal. The landing party divide up to examine the apparently abandoned USCSS Lake sitting on the landing pad of the former correctional facility and find the source of the distress signal. There's unconventional damage to the apparently abandoned Lake and a second ship where the distress signal originated. Fellowship is a game for 3-6 players about going on an adventure, in the same vein as Lord of the Rings or Wakfu or Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders. The system is loosely based on the Apocalypse Engine. In Rebellion is an expansion book for Fellowship.

The Empire is an alternative to the Overlord playbook. Rather than stop an evil overlord from destroying the world as we know it, the Empire has already conquered the world(s). They succeeded. The fellowship must work as a rebel alliance to overthrow the iron grip of the fascist Empire and destroy it from the inside out. They have sources of power that empower the entire Empire as long as they stay standing, and Leaders who inspire their soldiers and make them stronger. Both their power sources and leaders must be destroyed or defeated to make the Empire collapse.

After the events of Guardians of the Galaxy, vol. 3, the remaining Guardians have decided to establish a secondary team.

For this series, I'll be using the RPG Impulse Drive. In Impulse Drive, you'll play a crew of misfits and scoundrels living a life of danger and adventure as they explore space and try to make their ship a home in a technicolor sea of stars. Fight dangerous organizations, investigate unnerving mysteries, and find trouble in a game that rewards you when your characters face their shortcomings. Grow your characters and ship with new gear and abilities as you discover and create the universe together, as a group.
