While this tends to be a hotly contested debate in some corners of the internet, we tend to believe that as long you're prepared, having a good time, and responsibly enjoying the outdoors, you can call it whatever you'd like.

On that note, we also take a quick detour to express our disdain for internet trolls and other armchair opinion experts.

In this episode of the Overland Bonfire, we catch up with our friend Rodney Dewson, aka Overland Medic. Since he was last on the show, he's been busy with his regular Special Operations Firefighter and Paramedic duties, but he's also launched a new project. In this episode we discuss Trail Etiquette Situational Awareness as it pertains to traveling on the trail.  With a foundation built from the Stay the Trail program we discuss issues like staying on the trail and mitigating damage to surrounding areas by not taking by passes.  We also look at yielding in a variety of scenarios ranging from on trail traffic with smaller vehicles, hikers, bikers, and horses, as well as who has the right of way when on a hill.  Make sure to watch the entire video and see how you can not only improve your next outdoor adventure but also the experiences of the people and wildlife you encounter.

This week we discuss some of the best overlanding trips we have taken, and then we dream about the trips still on our bucket list. (Matt needs at least a month)
