After a HUGE win at the Swamp, the OBBs are ROLLING into their Week 2 preview, as the Canes face Florida A&M at Hard Rock Stadium. And of course we have to open the show by dancing on Florida State's grave, before diving into the future of Billy Napier at Florida as his 7-year deal was almost fully guaranteed. And with politics surrounding the President resigning at Florida, Billy might get another year just based on the finances.

Plus as the ACC's "top" teams struggled out of the gate, and FSU dropping BOTH of their first two games, the guys try to figure out who the Canes competition will be out of the conference. Scoop thinks Louisville is in that conversation, and so is Georgia Tech. And as we go down to Greentree, Scoop continues to be impressed by the UF game tape of Cam Ward, as there were so many small things he missed during the course of the game.

Roman addresses some online haters as regards to our early push for Cam Ward to go to New York, and everyone dives into the mystery of Mike Norvell and FSU as they have looked so rough as the season has started. And we play some amazing audio of Seminoles fans melting down as they watched their team lose to Boston College.

IP Daily drops by to LEVEL the Gators and the Seminoles in true IP epic fashion. The Canes checked in with three ACC players of the week in Cam Ward, Zach Carpenter and Jaden Harris. Everyone also brings their Three Keys to the table - which are all largely "stay healthy". It's Spring Game week so everyone takes a look at what they hope to see from different position groups - as Ro covers QBs and linebackers, Toast talks O-Line and safety, and Scoop wants to see the running backs and corners. Plus we try to figure out how a guy like Oregon State's Damien Martinez could fit in with the current RB room. And we're anxious to see Emory and Jacurri legitimately compete for the backup role. 

Nevin Shapiro is also out of jail and the debate rages about whether or not we should extend him an invite to be on the show, and everyone falls in on different sides of the argument. Plus some props to Norchad Omier on declaring for the NBA Draft, and some feedback on the struggling UM baseball team.

And this week's wild wheel of topics goes from drunk Floridians naked in garbage cans, the ratings discrepancy between the mens and women's national title games, and hilarious audio from South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley and the Weather Channel's Stephanie Abrams. John Calipari also bows out from Kentucky (which actually saved Kentucky money), whether the PGA or LIV will have more golfers in the Top 5 of the Masters, and the curious case of the Dodger fan who caught Shohei's first home run ball.

And of course we close it out with a round of Five Questions - including weird things about our bodies, the nicest hotels we've been to, things we hope our parents never find out about, when we knew our childhood ended and how we are doing today.

Facial hair and Brazilian waxes open up this week's show for some reason, but we quickly transition to the "all in" proposition for the Canes as we get into Summer. Everyone has strong feelings about the defensive line, pointing out that seasons we felt confident were years when the defense was relentless. Toast hopes this "all in" mentality translates to the first year of a decade-long run, and Scoop feels like if this first effort is successful that this could become a perennial trend.

Roman also gives a quick wrap on the UM baseball season before we launch into this week's

We got from the hilariously viral Wheel of Fortune contest, the Oklahoma high school soccer announcer that trashed the players on a hot mic, the man who Zoomed into his court appearance for driving on a expired license while driving, a fan pigging out at the White Sox vs Blue Jays game, and Jaelen Phillips finding an Iguana in his toilet.

Plus we also touch on the passing of Bill Walton, the Home Alone house being for sale, and the pilot jumping the gun on a Ft Lauderdale flight and telling the passengers to prepare for a water landing. And Scoop has a serious moment as we reflect on the tragic passing of Grayson Murray.

In an effort to avoid talking about the fallout from the Canes missing the College Football Playoff, we decide to open with National Signing Day and the Canes coming in with the 14th best class in the nation. And with Mario pulling the top class in the ACC, it still feels like his class suffered from the team being left out of the Playoff. 

Toast also expresses his disappointment in the fan base's reaction to the Canes missing the playoff and not celebrating an impressive 10-2 season. Roman though feels like everyone is upset because you were so close, largely because the system is rigged, and they argue heavily about the "strength of schedule" argument. Scoop says while both guys have a point, it's ultimately on the ACC because they don't stand up to the SEC, the Playoff committee or the media.

And will SMU REALLY be left out if Clemson wins this weekend? It's another example of the ACC refusing to speak up on behalf of the conference. Plus the AI OBB's check in with all the scenarios that would have to unfold in order for the Canes to make the College Football Playoff! Toast opens this week's show by sharing a story about how his wife was attacked by a wild animal during her morning Yoga... as she had an encounter with a puss caterpillar. We didn't realize that they were extremely poisonous but Toast learned when his wife almost ended up in the emergency room. 

We go down to Greentree and start with the news that Miami's new head basketball coach will be Duke assistant Jai Lucas, with the news breaking before the school was likely ready to announce it. He is a great recruiter (while wearing the Kentucky and Duke logo) and Miami should be able to bounce back with some talent in the coming seasons, if the gamble pays off. And could a former Duke coach flip the Boozer twins from Duke? 

Plus we do our best CSI investigation into the Carson Beck stolen vehicles (even though they were found a day later) as we talk about how scary it is to have someone in your home when you're sleeping. And Spring Football is HERE starting Monday and we can't believe how fast it came up. Scoop is hyped for the explosive running back tandem of Mark Fletcher and Jordan Lyle, with very high praise for both guys, and just how deep they are in that position group. Even though Carson Beck still isn't throwing, we will likely have eyes on Luke Nickel to see if he can elevate to the back-up position over Emory and Judd.

It's NFL Combine week and we try to figure out if Tennessee is going to go ahead and draft Cam Ward at #1 or they will pass him down to the Browns at #2. That spins us into a debate about who had the worse contract - Deshaun Watson or Daniel Jones. And we have no idea how we ended up debating Bill Clinton's body count, yet here we are. 

A WILD wheel of topics includes the Mary Kate Cornett story that has taken over social media, the couple who was forced to sit next to a dead woman for four hours on a Qatar Airways flight, and how ugly the world's first flying car looks. Plus we close it out as always with a round of

The Canes close out the regular season with a huge 45-20 win at Boston College and finish the regular season with Roman's 7-and-5 mark. And with the portal opening before the coming bowl game, everyone is left speculating about WHO will be the starting quarterback for the bowl.

We were also excited to see tight ends featured in the offense, and how much better Tyler performed when he had more weapons and creativity at his disposal. And with a full rebuild on deck for the QB room, it's time for Mario's recruiting prowess to show up and shine so we have options going into next season.

And as we reflect on the season in our final recap show of the regular season, we saw a lot of improvement and hope that we can retain some of the momentum from this season by keeping guys home and recruiting strong prospects.

It's whiskey talk at the top of the show as Ro celebrates Whiskey Wednesday and fills us in on the best new trends. We also talk about New York Yankee Steakhouse, our kids athletic accomplishments coming into the week and memories of Scoop and Roman's band. And as we head on down to Greentree, Toast has to take up for setting Twitter on fire with some comments about how the Miami administration failed to support Mario in the Lucas transfer controversy.

Congrats are due to Scoop's Ohio State for winning the National Championship, and how spending money in the portal can be largely beneficial if it's spent in the right place. That leads us into a debate over portal players versus developed players and how Toast wants more homegrown talent and fewer hired guns. And we won't have to face Al Golden's defense in Week 1 of 2025 as he moves on from Notre Dame.

Roman also sets the line at +3 favorable calls that lean toward the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. And the CBS way-too-early Top 25 has Miami at #3, and while Toast thinks it's insane, Roman actually likes it. Scoop also believes that Miami's defense is vastly improved and the offense, with Carson Beck, did not take as big a step back as anticipated. All that said, Ro needs to make sure these defensive backs and linebackers ultimately need to be cover guys. Plus Mario getting snubbed from the list of the Top 25 coaches going into the 2025 season is deserved according to Roman.

It was another HUGE win for the Miami Hurricanes as they beat the South Florida Bulls 50-15 in Tampa... which means it's another fun Recap Shooow!!

The first half of this game was a struggle for the Canes with some unforced errors, but still hit the half up 7. Then they came out in the second half and ran the Bulls out of the building. Mario challenged the defense to try and pitch a shutout in the second half and the Canes came out with a whole new attitude and put the game to rest. 

And with another amazing performance by Cam Ward, Ro starts referring to the offense as a "hive mind" because they all know where they need to be and what's going to happen. We also take a look at the talent of the receiving core as we now have three receivers on the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award and they all showed out against USF.

There are so many props to go around this week, but the play of the offensive line really stood out to everyone, as Cam Ward went practically untouched in this game. And the talent of this Canes team showed you that when you play a scheme like USF, it can only last so long before this Miami team just punches you in the mouth and shuts it down. Well... that sucked.

And you can tell from the start that Scoop was the only person who wasn't on the watch-along because he was shockingly optimistic, saying everything is still right in front of you. Toast's opening rant is also directed largely at Canes fans who are folding up stakes on the season after only losing ONE game so far this year. 

Plus Roman GOES OFF because of just how bad the defense was against Georgia Tech, fresh off one of the ugliest Student of the Game breakdowns he's ever done. And Scoop says that watching this year's defense is like watching the Josh Gattis offense of the past. Toast's contention remains that this loss falls on the offense way more than the defense, because they put up half of their average against Georgia Tech.

The discussion moves to Cam Ward, who Roman says was bad against GT on 3rd and 4th money downs. And how Miami left 9 potential points on the field by opting to go for it on 4th down instead of taking field goals, especially in the second quarter. Ro also thinks that Cam needs to evolve quickly when it comes to holding onto the ball because it cost him a game today and could cost him a starting job in the NFL.

We also try to figure out what this does to Miam's playoff standing, especially if Pitt finds a way to win out and we don't make the ACC Championship game. And if we do make the ACC title game, and lose, how does Miami still make the playoff? The targeting conversation also comes up after the bogus call on Moten, as Scoop says someone asked him why they don't eliminate targeting in the box, which he thought was a great solution. Plus a quick look around college football and a glance at FSU and Florida's terrible recruiting classes.

Well we really fought in this one, and the guys were all impressed by how the team played with a back-up quarterback and a stout defensive effort. Plus the debate rages about the safety that wasn't a safety and just how bad the ACC officiating has been this year. 

Thoughts and prayers out to Emory Williams who had a tough injury despite playing a great game in what seemed like an impossible situation. And Scoop wants to know what happened to Jacurri in a game where he really could have been used. And the QB play down the stretch gets Toast hot yet again.

It's also surprising how often we have to discuss game management issues by the coaching staff as they chewed up way too much time at the end of the game. And Roman and Toast both feel like Mario has gone 0-for-2 in Offensive Coordinators.

So how many signing days do we need? It's the bye week show and we're still riding high at 6-and-0, and we love that the Miami Hurricanes are once again the most hated team in college football! And we relish in the hatred toward the U because everyone hates Miami when they're at their best. Toast points out that the two questionable calls literally changed the team's record from 4-and-2 to 6-and-0, but he doesn't care because both calls went their way.

Scoop also plays devil's advocate and asks us how good the Canes actually are, after struggling against their two sub-par ACC opponents thus far this season. Roman argues that we have a championship caliber offense but a very average defense, while Toast contends that it all comes down to Miami having the best quarterback in the country. And like most weeks there is a lot of love to go around for the accomplishments of Xavier Restrepo as he closes in on UM receiving records.

One of the biggest stories in the country has been the transfer of cornerback Xavier Lucas from Wisconsin to Miami, and sports attorney Darren Heitner has been representing him in the case. Heitner, a UM adjunct professor of NIL at UM School of Law, has been frequently posting on social media in defense of his client, and he joins the Orange Bowl Boys to break down this wild case.

The Big Ten released a statement over the weekend supporting Wisconsin keeping Lucas from the transfer portal. Heitner stated that the contract between Lucas and Wisconsin is not binding because the NCAA does not allow its member schools to pay athletes directly. Wisconsin's claim of tampering was received as "absurd" according to Heitner.

We get into the big looming questions about how or if this will affect Xavier's transfer to UM, what action they plan to take against the Big Tem and Wisconsin, and how the loopholes in this case became a national story.

It was an ugly loss on the road at North Carolina, largely due to the turnovers at critical times in the ball game. But everyone feels like the idea of the "dream season" ended against North Carolina but still feels like there's a chance to finish greatly improved from last year. But Scoop says it feels like Groundhog Day all over again with this kind of a loss.

Toast is concerned about the way Tyler has looked the last couple of weeks, and Roman agrees that after a strong first half Tyler and the coaching staff fell apart quickly in the 3rd quarter. Plus the entire show seems to agree that behind FSU, UNC is now your biggest rival in the division.

Now at halfway through the season, Scoop's love affair is starting to dwindle, Roman believes the team isn't bad but hasn't played to their potential, and Toast is wondering where the "packages" are for Jucarri.

Miami rolled into the Swamp and came away with a HUGE Week 1 victory on the road... which means the guys are on full tilt for the Recap Show! Everyone is flying high on the heels of an absolute whooping that Miami opened up on the Gators. 

We go through the highlights of Cam Ward's amazing debut for Miami, including the gunslinger pick he threw, and how great he was after that moment. Plus how about the tight end involvement!? There were so many great moments to look at with the offensive dominance, which looked so much different than last year. And everyone has some thoughts on the statement moments of the game, from the opening drive of the second half to the elite play of the secondary.

Even more praise comes from everyone about the play of the defensive, as we look at the key players from the line to the linebackers, all who made huge plays when it mattered most. It was just an all around impressive performance, especially when you look at the lack of penalties and the elimination of the crowd.

We also take a look at our over/unders for players and stats for this game, as we had plenty of hits and misses. And we start to look ahead to the early part of the schedule and try to predict where we will start to see backups and substitutes. And Cam Ward had a LOT to say after the win when he met with the media. With the guys having this much fun during a recap show, Scoop didn't want the show to end as we dove into some of the other stories from the first week. Overall EVERYONE is now drinking the Kool Aid and we're ready to roll into this season!

That's a 10 WIN SEASON for your Miami Hurricanes!!

Scoop reminded us again that, hey, everything's fine if you just weather the first half - or in today's contest, the first quarter. And now it's just one more game, where you have to beat Syracuse on the road, to face off against SMU who punched their ticket to the ACC Championship Game this weekend.

And in the case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde... should we now be concerned that the offense didn't look particularly crisp today? And we are well aware that we say this after Cam posted 280 yards and two touchdowns. Roman also gives Mario credit for pounding the run game in the fourth quarter as everyone was in awe of Jordan Lyle.

We also take a look around some of the other chaos from this weekend, including losses by Indiana, Colorado, Ole Miss and others, which continues to spin the College Football Playoff Committee in circles as we wait to see how this shakes out. Miami also showed up well on defense against Wake Forest, because one of their two scores was a kick return, so getting off the field with only one score was a big win for them today.

The wide receiver room also looks like it will have a lot of turnover looking ahead to next season, and we take a look at some of the young talent that has shown up this year and will likely be a glimpse of what's next for Miami. We also try to figure out where Miami will land in the rankings with all the losses around college football this weekend. And we debate the "SEC strength of schedule" after these SEC teams continue to lose games and still land in the rankings.

The Miami Hurricanes had their home finale on Saturday and lost to Louisville 38-31. As has been the case for most of the year, the players played hard and did not quit. Unfortunately, they were once again let down by their coaching staff as Mario & Co were completely outcoached by Brian Brohm & Co. Ro's been saying it for weeks - Miami needed "a dude" at quarterback. And Miami got their dude in UGA transfer Carson Beck. So the opening question is whether the guys are happy with their dude. And it seems everyone thinks this was the best move possible as Mario has somehow locked down one of the top QBs in the portal again.

Jenners offers up some insight as a UGA insider on the caliber of quarterback the Canes are getting in Carson Beck, which was a little mixed in 2024. Offensive line protection is a big part of Carson's success, and Ro feels like Miami did a much better job protecting Cam Ward than Georgia did protecting Carson. There is also some high praise for the UM collective for putting up all the money to get Carson Beck and the secondary locked down.

As Roman goes Student of the Game on Carson, the question arises about whether they go out in the Spring and lock down another guy to learn from him and develop into your next big starter. Toast also goes out and sets the bar again at 10 wins after spending this kind of money on a star quarterback. Ro also tries to break down the key differences between Carson Beck and Cam Ward as we prepare for a different style of quarterback under center. 

And we address arguably the BIGGEST question on the table... will he be totally healthy when the time comes to play in Week 1?? We also try to figure out where we stand with the hiring of a new Defensive Coordinator and what that does to help lift up what Carson will be able to do on the offensive side of the ball. Chapter #81: Team Pee Pee

Football practices have started and the excitement level for the coming season is high amongst the OBBs. Toast is drinking the Kool-Aid for the first time this offseason. Scoop agrees on the basis that Tyler's healthy year was not a fluke, and Ro says if Tyler can stay upright and manage to get into the Heisman conversation it's going to be a huge bounceback year.

We also break down the most annoying fan bases in college football, with UF and Texas A&M coming in strong on our list. And there's a sincere confession from Scoop that Ohio State was actually his first love in college football. Florida State has also spoken out about their situation in the ACC and all the guys agree that schools like FSU and UM are stuck in the conference, largely due to their television rights package.

Scoop is also worried about the leprosy outbreak in central Florida as he heads to Orlando this week to play golf, and the woman aboard the Spirit Airlines flight that peed at the flight attendants station gets our full support.

We open with the biggest news of the week as the University of Miami has parted ways with defensive coordinator Lance Guidry. Everyone immediately starts throwing candidates into the conversation, even though Roman believes they are close to a new hire already. And with the portal firing on all cylinders, that might be Miami's only saving grace as they make such a huge change on defense.

The debate continues to rage about next season's record if the Canes are unable to secure a top quarterback in the portal, and how the fanbase will continue to spiral after Miami wasted such a special offense this season. And with the defense coming in at 68th in scoring defense, you can see how much better the Playoff teams were then the Canes. We also discuss what it will take to see Mario in the hot seat in the coming seasons if the team continues to underperform, and he continues to miss on coordinators.

We are barely into the offseason and we're already getting early season rankings that have the Canes anywhere from 12 to 25 - even though we continue to end the season unranked. Even Cam is getting some Heisman buzz before he's even taken a snap in a Miami uniform.

Plus we had some shots fired on Twitter this week between Mario and Brett Bielima, where Mario had a mic drop response after Bielema tried to throw some shade. And of the five Canes that got a Combine invite, we debate which of them we think will show out the most. Sweetheart groups were released also and Miami's big offensive line made the list.

Listen, momma said there’d be games like this. It definitely was not pretty, but in the end, a conference win is a win. 5-0 (1-0) will work and we continue on.

Obviously, there is a lot to unpack here…we start with the final play. Was it a TD or not? We all agreed it was not and Ro made a great point. If you think that was a TD, you are a pure Miami hater. All three of us were stunned that the ACC overruled the call on the field. Can’t remember the last time the refs helped us in a game.

Cam Ward and his Heisman CAMpaign is still progressing, tho this was his worst start as a Cane. He was responsible for 5 touchdowns, but also 3 turnovers. We will live with Cam and die with Cam…as he goes, so will this season.

Penalties are still an issue as we bagged another 6. The rushing attack is not what we’d like to see as we approach the midway point in the season.

All that said…we lose this game going away last handful of seasons. The battle back they showed us means something.

Scoop recaps his experience at the game as the Canes mounted a massive second half comeback, and he offers props from the top to Xavier Restrepo for breaking the Miami Hurricanes record for all-time receiving yards and receptions on a massive touchdown. Scoop also believes that Cam Ward has the quickest release since Dan Marino, leading to our latest trend #CamMarino!

Toast also has props for the team's second half response, as both the offense and defense came out as completely different units in the second half. And the debate breaks out about why Cam Ward isn't the front runner for the Heisman right now, as Travis Hunter continues to play at an elite level on both sides of the ball at Colorado.

We also take a look at how Miami's front fared against the vaulted Duke defense, who only got 6 tackles for loss in this game. Plus it was another game where the defense gave up even more big plays, something that we've been hoping they'd fix for weeks now, as they continue to surface at inopportune times in all these games. And there's a lot of debate about the overall state of the defense, including the lack of pressure up front that we are not getting.

And it wouldn't be a recap show if we didn't dance on the grave of Florida State after they got demolished again this week, and put it into perspective about just how bad they are this year and it's WILD. We also wonder if Miami will move up to #4 after Penn State got exposed in their loss to Ohio State. Toast also tries to argue that if the Canes go to the ACC Championship game undefeated then lose, there's a chance Miami falls out of the Playoff entirely.

We go through some of the other games from around college football, break down some of the better plays of the day and try to figure out if Restrepo will be an All-American when it's all said and done this year. Plus it was really nice to see the entire team turn out yesterday for Mark Fletcher's dad's funeral on a day before the game.

Your Miami Hurricanes are 8-0!!

We open what is a celebratory show with condolences to the Fletcher family after the passing of Mark's father, Big Mark, and what an emotional and special game that was for Mark. Scoop also has high grades for this Miami team, despite the lack of fanfare from the fan base, by saying this was Miami running a state rival out of the building, with the exception of just a few plays.

This was also a game where the running game showed up big, and the first week where Miami's run game out gained the passing game. It was a big week for RB1 and the Miami ground game, and there were also some big moments from Xavier Restrepo as he closes in on Miami history.

The defense also gets some love for shutting down the big plays, with the exception of that one wild QB scramble that led to FSU's first touchdown. And a question from Ro about how good FSU would be if Cam Ward was their quarterback where they would be, sparks some debate about what that really changes for FSU. And a look at FSU's numbers this year compared to last year really tells the tale of their downfall this year.

The debate also rages about whether Miami climbs at all in the Polls or gets stuck again at #6 as we take a look at the carnage that will happen across the ACC the next few weeks. And we try to figure out where the ESPN announcers were coming from when they said Miami was "running up the score" on that final touchdown.

We open the show with a blind drunk Toast checking in live from Louisville, who recaps his drunken tear through Kentucky including Bourbon tours, $125 shots and fights in the stands. What an epic trip he got to take with some loyal OBB listeners.

And of course the conversation quickly turns to the defense who was a bit of a mess today in a slugfest with Louisville, as Ro does his best Student of the Game analysis and breaks down where the matchups failed. Toast is fearful that this team needs to have the ball last in order to win, and Scoop and Ro talk him down by saying that however bad Miami's defense was bad this week, Louisville's was worse.

Now there was a LOT of upside on the offense, as Cam was electric again with some wild plays when they mattered most. And it's more than great play by Cam, the team's success now seems to be anchored to his performance every single week. And once again fans are holding a call against Miami after Cam's "fumble" got called back which goes to show that the college football world is once again turning on Miami.

And one thing surfaced this week that we haven't had to talk about all season... the special teams, which were a total disaster on the road in Louisville. But hey we are 7-0 BABY and we have HATE WEEK coming up against a dreadful 1-6 FSU. Let's GO!!

It's North Carolina week! And yes, we're still on "no knee Mario" after the disastrous end of the Georgia Tech game. We are still unsure who is at fault here, but we move off it quickly as we get down to Greentree to preview the Tar Heels.

As we jump into the North Carolina defense, with Scoop unsure of what scheme they run, we're all but certain that they're going to somewhat mimic Georgia Tech's approach. And everyone lays out their keys to the game on how to pull out a much needed bounce back win against one of the best teams on the schedule.

We also get our first IP Daily report in several weeks, and he applauds Miami for not taking a knee and standing up for what they believe in. And after the ACC's announcement that they reviewed the end of the Georgia Tech game and ruled it was indeed a fumble, everyone is trying to figure out how we don't have more angles for replay and what it takes to overturn such an incorrect call.

Even on a terrible loss, you can tell that this team is much better than last year - as the defense had a hell of a night on the road. But it seems clear to Roman that Tyler has lost his confidence and he's unsure if it stems from the recent injury. And Toast believes that we've started to enter territory where Tyler doesn't give you your best chance to win anymore.

Scoop also gets hot about the Canes not kicking the field goal in the 4th and making it a one possession game, especially after NC State took the ball 97 yards and all but ended the game. And keeping the rants going, Toast goes OFF on the basic approach to the game and lays all the shortcomings at Mario's feet.

On the positive side, everyone is big on the way the defense has played last night and thus far through the season. Plus Mark Fletcher was the sole highlight on offense, showing that the run game and offensive line are difference makers.

Miami's home opener was a blowout as the Canes rolled to a huge 56-9 victory vs Florida A&M... so it's time for the Recap Shooooow!

Cam Ward continued to shine as the #CAMpaign24 efforts got three passing TDs and one on the ground as he continued to look like the exceptional player he was billed as in the preseason. And both Toast and Ro are thrilled to see the involvement of the tight ends in the offensive game plan as they got into the game early. And another huge week for Restrepo shows that we are firing on all cylinders right now.

Even though this was a dominant win, there were still some things that needed cleaning up - even fans commenting that things were sloppy - but we wonder if that's fair because the bar has been raised so high. Plus some penalties jumped up this week that we didn't see in Week 1, including procedural penalties that we didn't see in the Swamp.

And with Michigan and Notre Dame both going down this weekend, we think the Canes could move into the Top 10 - which is great, but do NOT let that allow the team to take their foot off the gas. Plus Cal and Syracuse have both emerged early as tougher opponents than maybe UM fans had on their radar.

It was nice to see the offensive love spread out across multiple receivers, backs and tight ends, but we still want to see some big explosive plays. And we round out a fun recap show by reviewing our Player Over/Under props for this week's game. And we try to digest some of the big games and upsets from around College Football.

It's Hate Week Part Two... because the world of hate coming at the University of Miami this week is just wild. 

Scoop also gets on an early tirade after Cam Ward missed out as a finalist for the Maxwell Award, as Dillon Gabriel of Oregon made the cut ahead of him along with Travis Hunter and Ashton Jeanty... and he hangs it yet again on the defense. There were also obvious snubs in the Biletnikoff and the Lou Groza Awards, as guys like X and Borregales didn't get a look as finalists.

Discussion also breaks out about how the Canes should look at Syracuse OC Jeff Dixon as a replacement if Shannon Dawson decides to move on, largely because of his formations and personnel groupings on offense. And as we look at Syracuse QB Kyle McCord, Roman has high praise for his play, while Toast argues that his time around Ohio State fans has shown him that McCord will crumble under pressure so Miami needs to bring it.

As we were taping the show, the new College Football Playoff rankings dropped... with Miami up to #6, SMU up to #9 and Clemson at #12... which means there is a shot that the ACC might be able to pull THREE teams in this new system, which is a wild reality. And this week's Keys to the Game include defensive pressure up front with the front four, running the ball between the guards, Cam Ward spreading the ball around, and involving X in his final week in a Canes uniform.

We also jump into some of the craziest college football stories of the week - including North Carolina moving on from Mack Brown, the INSANE end of the Arizona State-BYU game, and another epic Bama meltdown from our man Legend on the Paul Finebaum show. We open this week with talk of booze, and Dan Radakovich's comments about UM loving the ACC, which had the fan base divided this week. And with all this talk of conference realignment has the OBBs in agreement that staying in the ACC is a very smart move for Miami. And Scoop has a few offensive players from Spring practice

It was a roller coaster of a game, but a HUGE WIN for the University of Miami, as they knock off the Texas A&M Aggies 48-33 at Hard Rock Stadium. Toast and Scoop agree that it was the best they felt leaving the stadium after a big win in a long time, and Roman got loud in a Chilis because he's out on the road for his son's baseball tournament. 

Everyone throws roses at Tyler for an epic performance, and reinforces that Dawson's offensive strategy is built for a guy like TVD. When A&M took away the run, they adjusted, and Tyler showed the nation just how good he is. Plus great play from the O-Line down the stretch, some great play in the secondary, and everyone is relieved that Kam appears to be just fine after the scary scene on the field.

Get ready for a short week, with Bethune-Cookman on Thursday night, and everyone needs to see a huge blowout to really keep the momentum moving. Overall a GREAT week to be a Canes fan!!

The Canes improved to 4-0 after rolling the Temple Owls 41-7 in Philadelphia. We all cut into the show with a drink in our hand, which is what happens when you tape a show late on Saturday night!

We were all thrilled that we saw the offensive line travel, Scoop is in LOVE with Shannon Dawson, and it seems we all agree that Kurt Warner's kid is not very good. And both Tyler and Xavier Restrepo showed exactly why they have been highlights of Shannon's offense. 

And while we're all high on the offensive approach, Toast feels like we need to temper our excitement until we see it in conference play. Scoop also calls out the broadcast team for this game as "grossly unprepared" with some of the things they were dropping on the broadcast. 

Of course we couldn't make it through a week without the QB2 debate coming up again, and Toast wants to know what's happening with our receiver options as the offense has played out the first third of the season. It's Temple week - and while the point spread in this game is higher than expected, the Boys break down what they expect to see from Miami's running game and defensive front in the first road game of the season. Everyone comes in high off the FAMU win, but Ro still feels like it's a make-or-break week because he needs to see the team make a statement against a team you're a heavy favorite over. We open the show with Scoop back in the house, and Toast has to immediately address the Twitter feud that erupted this week between him and some Canes fans over the state of the basketball program. We open the show with some hilarious talk about Roman's new 3-Bugle fireman's hat, which launches us into a hilarious round of "hat talk" that somehow culminates in a full Santa Scoop outfit. We also get down to Greentree as we watch the Washington State portal QB John Mateer choose Oklahoma over Miami, which we can't really figure out with Oklahoma's offensive line. The Miami Hurricanes got a 28-20 double overtime win over Clemson!! And we start by talking about the show that Rueben Bain put on against the Tigers, and Scoop feels like he might be the best defensive player in the country.

Plus HUGE wins in the turnover battle, and the overall defensive presence throughout the game. We address the last second move to start Emory Williams over an injured TVD, as while he played an up-and-down game, he made the throws that counted. Even though Ro thinks that Shannon's game plan was dreadful, because as Mario tells the media that it was the hardest game for Dawson to coach, Ro feels like he was unprepared for Emory Williams to start.

And while everyone is thrilled with this huge win, Toast is concerned about the way Mario is managing a very well-assembled team. As Shannon's play calling continues to come into question, everyone is trying to figure out if Mario needs to micro-manage a little more or just pull in the reins on his guys.

Roman's having back problems, Toast is working a lot, and Scoop is all over the place as we get things rolling this week. And the most important question of the night kicks off with the question about whether we're buying the preseason rankings... and sure enough everyone continues to fall in on different sides of the narrative.

IT'S GATORS WEEK!! HERE WE GO!!

The season kicks off Saturday in the Swamp, and we immediately head down to Greentree to preview the Week 1 matchup with Florida. And somehow the ESPN computers have us at 57% to lose! So Toast wants to know what scares us about the game, and the guys believe it's genuinely a mix of the venue and the expectations. Toast, however, feels the coaching staff needs to control this game with a strong game plane instead of being a liability. 

And everyone has their Three Keys to the Game. Roman's three keys are to disguise the defense on the Gators, involvement from the tight ends early, and limiting the chaos plays by Florida. Toast's Three Keys are consistent pressure on the QBs, letting Cam Ward cook, and not losing the turnover battle on the road. Scoop's Three Keys are composure, penetration from the front four on defense, and performance from the stable of running backs.

Basketball and BBQ start the show this week, as we get into the Canes poor performance on the court and Ro's trip to Kansas City. Toast experimented with the show Scoop recommended, Naked Attraction, and decided to torture the rest of the show with it. 

We also fall quickly back into college football as NCAA '25 starts to include more school songs and traditions, now that NIL runs the football world. Miami now officially has three 5-star recruits as we roll into the off season, an accomplishment that Toast and Ro are proud of, but still have fears about Mario utilizing them on the field. Even though the Canes didn't play this weekend, it didn't stop us from recapping the weekend in College Football as we gear up for Louisville this Saturday! 

Toast's trip to the Savannah Bananas game spawns one of the best dive-bar stories from South Florida we've ever heard! But we quickly pivot back to college football because we had a lot of overtime games and games coming down to the wire this week. Scoop wants to know what stadium where we'd like to experience a game - Toast and Roman pick the bayou for an LSU game on a Saturday night, Scoop goes with Neilan Stadium for Tennessee because of how electric the atmosphere was last night.

Scoop started a bit in the group chat this week regarding a current picture of a former rocker, that turned out to be Wes Borland from Limp Bizkit... and he's getting the full backstory about the band on the "Disrespectfully" podcast, which is a wild story. The Miami Hurricanes pulled off what could be the greatest comeback in program history only hours ago, which means there is a LOT to break down in the Recap Shoooow! And if you went to bed early thinking Miami lost this one you missed an unbelievable comeback in the early hours of the morning. 

While everyone is thrilled that they got this comeback win, Roman feels like we're limping into the bye week at 6-0. Of course the debate rages about the targeting penalty that went the Canes way late in the game, and how that could have ended the game, but the guys feel like it probably was targeting and we got away with one. And Cam Ward's decisions were all over the place in this game, leaving us a bit concerned with his play in games that are this close.

The defense also gave up some huge plays which really brought back the narrative of the questionable secondary, who has been so good all year but looked very unprepared against Cal. And while everyone stops to reflect on the joy of a 6-0 start, it was clear that Cal's approach was to goad the Miami players into conflict and reactionary plays and for the most part it worked. 

On the big positive side, Restrepo and Cam both had huge games (despite huge mistakes by Cam), and Scoop wants to know if Cam's lackadaisical confidence bothers the guys as much as it picks at him. And Roman is gearing up for what looks to be an epic Student of the Game as he breaks down this game film. And we bounce around one of the wildest weeks of College Football we can remember seeing.

It's the final bye week of the season, and it comes at a much needed time coming off a loss and it was clear everyone needed a reset. We also get our first look at the College Football Playoff Rankings since Miami lost to Georgia Tech, and Miami comes in at #9 but would still draw a #4 seed as the ACC's top team.

We go down to Greentree, which is still littered with the debris of the loss to Georgia Tech, as the national media has made a clear turn against Miami's coaching staff. Roman remains optimistic even though the defense could not hold up against a GT quarterback who could not throw the football. Scoop reiterates his point that the Guidry defense reminds him of watching the Gattis offense, largely because of how visibly confused the defense seems to be. 

This week's Underdog picks are non-Miami games with the bye week. We're also pleasantly surprised to see Miami offensive linemen receive some accolades this week, especially after Pitt lost to Virginia and reset Miami's fate for the Playoff. And IP Daley shows up to absolutely level the Canes in the wake of the loss and it's nothing short of brutal!! And since IP brought it we're reminded to try and enjoy the last few games of Cam Ward whether he wins the Heisman or not.

As we look at the College Football Playoff we debate whether a two-loss ACC team would make it in, and the consensus is that probably won't happen. Which means JD Pickell's take that Miami needed a loss to get focused needs to come to fruition, and Roman believes it.

The Canes did something none of us saw coming as they ran Ball State out of the building, which makes for a total blast of a Recap Shooooow!

It was a record setting day for Miami as they ran up 750 total yards, the first time they've done that in 20 years. Cam Ward was exceptional again yesterday, as was the line because he had all the time in the world to do what he wanted to do. And everyone was happy to see this team stay in the moment and not look past a team like Ball State with South Florida on the horizon. Plus Roman has high praise for Mario this week, as he allowed his offensive coordinator to work when things were slow. 

Now that we're through our first three games we start to get into the teeth of the schedule, and we're curious to see if that high level of performance from Cam can continue as the defenses toughen up. And it wouldn't be a recap show if we didn't dance on the graves of the Gators and Seminoles who both took a huge L this week.

We are all high on the Florida Panthers winning the Stanley Cup in an epic Game 7, everyone reflects on their favorite moments from the night and the subsequent morning after at the Elbo Room!
