This week, Andy is joined by his Virtual Theater podcast co-host Gooey Fame to talk about the many triumphs and innovations of Symphony of the Night. Everything, from the incredibly diverse selection of music, to the incredible pixels and art style, to the diverse areas of the castle, to the way the almost every enemy is rooted in some kind of folklore or legend, is up for discussion, and of course, we talk about how Symphony of the Night introduced the "Vania" part of Metroidvania by including more RPG elements, stats, weapons, and improvements on Super Metroid's map and item exploration. We talk and reminisce for a while about one of the greatest games of all time, so if you've never played (or haven't played in a while!)
