Steve Newburn is a make-up, special effects and all round true craftsman from the film industry who has worked on movies such as "Inception," "The Dark Knight Rises," "Suicide Squad" and more. His latest credit is Ari Aster's breakout horror hit "Hereditary" which has enjoyed a healthy box office run for such a low budget film and has received its fair share of critical acclaim as well. "Poor Things" had its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival, where it received arguably the best reviews of the festival, winning the Golden Lion for Best Film in the process before screening at the Telluride and New York Film Festivals to equal raves and rapturous response from critics and audiences. Antoneta Alamat Kusijanović's feature directorial debut "Murina" had its world premiere at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Caméra d'Or award for the best first-time feature of the festival. It then went on to play at other film festivals before getting released theatrically by Kino Lorber in the summer of 2022, and now, it finds itself nominated for three Film Independent Spirit Awards, including Best First Feature, Best Cinematography, and Best Breakthrough Performance for its lead star Gracija Filipović. "Creed III" recently opened in theaters to the franchise's best box office opening and is continuing the "Creed" franchise in new and unexpected ways. One of those fresh approaches was through the film's cinematography. Michael B.
